clove oil recipe
this is my recipe for clove oil which i use for like basically everything
i don’t really have measurements… so measure with your heart i guess 🎀
olive oil (or any desired skin-safe oil) as a carrier oil
cloves (i recommend whole but ground is ok too) for luck and protection
cinnamon for prosperity and happiness
salt for protection and cleansing
rosemary for focus and clarity
allspice for peace
i added a small bit of vanilla essential oil for scent, this is completely optional and you could use any scent :)
i use this stuff for EVERYTHING. i put it in my hair, use it before my perfume, anoint candles with it, etc. i love it 💌

spotify | john marston's revenge quest, set to music from 1960s spaghetti westerns.
Fun detail: the opening cutscene for Red Dead Revolver (2004) features an instrumental version of "His Name Is King". The lyrical version is oddly fitting for John, given that it's a song about seeking vengeance for a dead brother.
#red dead#rdr2#john marston#arthur morgan#pardner playlists#pardner posts#tagging arthur in this bc even tho its a john-centric playlist.. its about the way john grieves arthur#y'all know me !!! im always a sucker for a revenge story!!!#so i cant help but dwell on johns attitude of ~i will throw away my chance at a future because i'm stuck in the past grieving you~#like thats a banger. thats a good revenge story. the ultimate act of devotion is also an ultimate act of betrayal.#this is admittedly a kind of pulpy playlist and im embracing that. im a fan of 'horse opera' westerns and im attaching that to epilogue joh#anyways. all the songs on this playlist were released btwn 1966 - 1971 so its definitely a vintage vibe.#i tried to match that vintage energy with the graphic design. the cover art is screenshots of rdr2 that i've /heavily/ edited in photoshop#i wanted the images to look like those oil and/or acrylic paintings done for old movie posters#it took a lot of filter adjustments and paint-overs to get to this stage. i spent a lot of time on it. (please clap)#i initially wanted john to be wearing arthur's hat for this but . hdkhjdf ran into some difficulties sourcing usable screenshots.#i refuse to accept unmodded epilogue john as canon. i dont know what you think that thing is but that is not my son etc etc.#its jmrp or bust for me#most of the jmrp screengrabs i could turn into a workable composition featured the john hat so i just went with that. unfortunate but mehh#sidenote. plz click for quality bc a lot of the paint texturing in these covers gets lost in the compression#alight yall. have fun with the playlist !! lmk if u end up giving it a listen.#rdr2 spoilers#🤠#art

Hail Loki
A trans devotional prayer ===
Hail to the shaper of flesh and bone Who urges my feet to freedom Who guides my hands to joy Who inspires my lips into prayer
Hail to the breaker of prisons Who shifts and constructs their shape so easily Who fills me with the reverent act of Creation Who holds me steady with every dose Hail to the Othered god Who keeps me in his arms as I tremble with nerves Who strengthens my resolve with self-knowledge Who demands my work and my growth in my journey Hail to the guardian of queers Who welcomes the different before her Who leads us to rest in our selves Who gives us the words to ask our Questions Hail to the one who loves me Who takes me for who I am Who walks with me where I'm at Who encourages me to be my full self Hail, Loki, in all your shapes Bless me and be with me on this day And every one after ==

Anyone can use this prayer in your personal practice if it speaks to you. I'd be honored.

Best tip I can offer for devotional days is wearing devotional oils when you lack energy. When your bones are heavy with fatigue and pain. It’s something you can place on your bedside table or leave on their altar space. Try your hand at making an infused oil. If you cannot make an infused deity oil store bought is completely fine.
I like to wear them as an act of devotion. I’ll dedicate my day of rest to my deities, which will help me carry them with me. It adds that extra bit of magic I need to the mundane to make me feel like I’m doing more. Sometimes, devoting rest does not feel like enough (even though it is), so this feels like a good remedy.
Check out my Infused Oils post if you want a how-to on creating oils.

I made a new version of my Loki devotional oil, this one is peppermint, cinnamon, cedarwood and sandalwood diluted with a jojoba carrier oil. I feel like this updated version works better than my previous one. This oil can be worn as a perfume, or can be used to anoint things such as candles, etc. If anyone wants to recreate it, it's about 10ml jojoba oil + 13 drops of each essential oil. Be careful with the cinnamon oil, it can cause burns when coming into contact with your skin! Once it's diluted though, it should be safe to use, unless you're allergic.

Kaz and Ocelot's dynamic during the nine year gap is like of a cheetah that's on the brink of extinction held in captivity and the dog they gave it so it wouldn't feel lonely except the dog is insane and bites people for fun does this make sense.

Andromache and Astyanax
Artist: Pierre Paul Prud'hon (French, 1758–1823)
Date: c. 1813–1824
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, NY, United States
Description
Prud’hon - a principal representative of neoclassicism who developed this smoky, sfumato technique - began this painting for the former empress of France, Marie Louise. Still incomplete when he died, it was finished by one of his students. The subject of family devotion and its relationship to the state is taken from the French dramatist Racine: Andromache embraces her son, Astyanax, in whom she sees the features of her husband, who had been killed by Achilles. When mother and son become spoils of war, Achilles’ son, Pyrrhus, falls in with her; however, as Pyrrhus’ surprised gesture indicates, she rejects his advances in fidelity to her deceased husband.
