last week I started Dev Mountain

Ok, so here’s the deal. I’m a programmer. It’s what I do. I make websites. So when my job asked me if I wanted to go to Dev Mountain (which is a boot camp for web code development), I was all like “Nah, yo, I’m a master.” But then work was all “yeah but, do you know Javascript?” And teh answer was no. If it’s HTML or CSS related, I’m a hard core guru, but I didn’t know Javascript. So I was convinced to go.

I’ve been here for like, a week and a half, and I have to say it’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE solving problems, and every day we are given tons of problems to solve. My dreams are all about coding. My day is all coding. It’s all coding and it’s all problems and I love it.

Today I hit lvl 6 on codewars.com, and I’m so proud of myself. As I was coming back from lunch today after bragging about getting to lvl 6, I realized something. I’m NEVER proud of myself. This is one of the first times in my life I’m really encouraged by what I am and what I can do.
