A.P. Bio original pilot script!
Most interesting changes are the characterization of Durbin, Devin, and the girls but there's tons of small dialogue changes. It gets a little... fanfictiony at times so I'm glad it got another pass, but this version is also super funny

My fanon theory on why Devin disappeard in universe after Season 1 is that something in Grace snapped and she decided to drain his personality which led to him getting retconned out of existence and her evolving into something terrifying.

can u blease explain what that AP bio post means
which post? this one?? it means that everyone was tweeting that jack is bi and in love with miles and they had all this tension of jack hating him but miles being nice and them having a long historied past where they used to be friends (plus the Energies of jack and miles both clearly being mlm) and everyone was like. tweeting that it would be cool to see them as exes/boyfriends/whatever and then glennjamin did an interview with patton oswalt talkin about s2 and apparently jack has this new love interest that’ll be introduced, who is a woman, who they basically described as “his enemy that he has sexual tension with so he tries to get revenge on her using the kids to Plot and she’s quick and can easily match him and its sexy and theyre together” or whateverrrr which is a) the plot of jackmiles in season 1 and b) literally nbc saw people tweeting about jackmiles and were like “love that but can’t have gays so heres the hetero version of it” like literally exactly what eva said.
some things to keep in mind with this: 1) i dont even ship jackmiles rlly lmao but this is CLEARLY a dig 2) some of the ap bio tptb were tweeting back to some people like “lmaooo everyones kinda bi!! jack is bi!!” type of shit which is gross anyways but now doubly so 3) this is gonna directly take away from miles’s screentime and specifically jack and miles so it really is a dig and 4) obviously im not saying jack can’t be bi because he’s with a woman but to make that woman a carbon copy of the man people shipped him with and then refuse to confirm he likes men??? exactly what i expected from nbc actually i’m not surprised or mad

I really liked how season one of A.P. Bio ended, and it made me excited for season two. I thought we would be getting all kinds of "Miles Missions" and the kids would be getting revenge on those that did them wrong.
Other than the karate teachers ponytail in the first episode, we haven't gotten any of that.
I think the show is best when Jack is with his students.
Also, I miss Devin. And the redhead.

#APBio S1, Ep. 12 "Walleye" Recap/Review
Does Jack's plan finally get Miles once and for all? With Jack finally getting what is probably the well thought out plan to get back at Miles by pretending that one of Jack's A.P. Bio students to be Miles' son that he never knew. Using Devin, the plan worked quickly and as they spend time together Devin enjoyed it more and more and Jack's plan seemed to be not where he wanted it to go. But when it finally came down, Devin does it in front of his classmates and Jack watching from outside the classroom. Miles runs being upset and Jack, coming in happy but soon runs off to apologizes to him about the whole thing. Miles sees that Jack was doing it because of jealously but really it looks like Miles is jealous of what Jack has. But it doesn't end there. But I must get into the Principal Durbin having an idea for the school prom being the theme to the film Congo (based on the novel by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park, Westworld and ER). When the teachers didn't think it was a good idea, he lets his disappointment show but then agrees to have his theme for the prom. Getting back to Jack and Miles, after apologizing to Miles, the next day Jack gets a call from him about a surprising opportunity: to take his position at Stanford (the one that Jack wanted all along). But before he could say anything it end with a cliffhanger. "Walleye" was another good episode that delivered enough humor and wit. It was a good story with mostly the humorist moments coming between Jack and his class about how to sell one of them as Miles' son. Also the Durbin and his idea about the prom theme was pretty good, but it did give me the idea to rewatch the movie Congo. The episode had good character development and the cast puts on a good and hilarious performances. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10. You can catch A.P. Bio Thursday at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.

A.P. BIO- picked up to series STUDIO: Universal Television/Broadway Video TEAM: Mike O’Brien, Seth Meyers, Mike Showmaker, Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer
LOGLINE: A hilariously cynical Ivy League professor loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school biology teacher where he imposes his unorthodox teaching style and uses the kids to plot out revenge on those who wronged him.
 Cast (thus far)
Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will play Jack, a hilariously cynical Ivy League professor loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school biology teacher where he imposes his unorthodox teaching style and uses the kids to plot out revenge on those who wronged him.
Patton Oswalt (The King of Queens) will play Principal Durbin, Jack’s boss and a timid, petite, nervous mouse of a man who sometimes tries to scold Jack and Jack just hugs him.
Mary Sohn (The Boss) will play Mary, a loud and sassy art teacher at Whitlock High, the kind of teacher who tells her students to draw a flattering picture of her to take home to their dads. She has a way of ripping people open where they don’t know it’s happening and often talks in street slang.
Lyric Lewis (MADtv) will play Stef, a teacher at Whitlock High School.
Aparna Brielle (Grimm) will play Sarika, a career-driven student who’s constantly trying to do everything right and climb the ladder.
Nick Peine (Office Christmas Party) will play Marcus, a smart kid but not as into college and careers as the others. He’s a bit of a salesman and just likes to be the one driving; he’s ultimately willing to abandon any stance he has in order to be liked and in control.
Jacob McCarthy (The Drummer and the Keeper) will play Devin, an intense and angry kid who sits in the back of the class reading “Anarchy in Action”. He’s the only kid who is really on board with the chaos created by Jack because he never wanted to take biology in the first place.
Further details: this will be a single-camera comedy

Janelle James is funny AF and you need to be at her comedy festival in Brooklyn, NY this weekend

Janelle James is funny AF and you need to be at her comedy festival in Brooklyn, NY this weekend
Janelle James is funny as hell and she doesn’t want you to forget. The Carribean-turned-Midwesterner now Los Angeles based comedian will be making New York City laugh this weekend with her second annual successful festival named affectionately the Janelle James Comedy Festival. I got a chance to talk to Janelle and we talked about racism, marijuana and getting Black folks’ attention. James has been able to make a name of her own cross-country and has toured with Chris Rock, Amy Schumer and David Cross. The Black Monday writer took time out to talk to me on the Dainty Thug Podcast to talk about how she is the one-woman-army who is running her comedy festival and how she hopes Black people will give her a chance. The self-professed introvert confessed she hates podcasts but chilled with me anyway.
“It’s something with Black people they really make me mad because they always like we need more representation but they only come out for people they know. White people will come out just to check some shit out,” explained James. She expressed her frustrations with trying to get more Black people to support her. Janelle James who started in fashion chose to be a comedian because she admits she’s a narcissist and her comedy is more of her joking about herself than anything.

let rob play the hot tattooed guy from toledo who went to prison as a teenager but cleaned up when he got out and no one knows about his past at his blue collar job because he’s always dressed professionally but after work he rolls up his sleeves and hes got a ton of tats on his arms but also a golden sense of humor and hes super charming and he shows up to his kid devin's class for parent/teacher day and meets his a.p. bio teacher jack griffin and he’s like "yea sorry devin’s so dark, i was away when he was a kid, also his mom was never in the picture because i came out in my late 20s right after he was born so she left me" and then they start hanging out because jack’s got taste and his boyfriend doesn’t mind that jack’s always in sweats and drunkenly rambling about his enemies because jack doesn’t mind his weird prison stories and he’s great with devin too

#APBio S1, Ep. 6 "Freakin Enamored" Recap/Review
From back shamming of an art piece that leads to protest to a teacher trying to hook up with his student's mother. Here's a look at this week's A.P. Bio. After failing to get a date in the town and finding out that his enemy is dating Lisa Loeb, Jack asked his students for a plan but gets a surprise when he sees that his students have brought their parents for Parent Day. After calming them down and telling how everyone of their kids is getting an A and given some much feed back, Devin's mother comes in late and gets Jack's attention from start. Quickly, Jack and Devin's mother hit it off quick and comes over for dinner at her place. Just as when the dinner was going good, Devin shows up and ruins it for Jack. The next day, Jack takes back Devin's A and turns it into an F and gets the class discussing about dating Devin's mother. After doing pros and cons, Jack decides to date Devin's mother and help him build a rocket. But the truth comes out when Devin's hopes of his real dad would come over and Jack blurs out about what he wanted to do with his mother and both of them tell him to "get!"
Meanwhile, during the Parents Day, parents had concern about Mary's bareback sketch showing in school and Principle Ralph took it down. That caused the teachers and students to fight for bare back rights and all art. It goes so far that the students were hitting off a Ralph look a like pinata. Ralph did change his mind and gets quite openly about Mary's art, but she took it away from him.
The next day, Jack learns that he and Devin aren't that different when it comes to their dads, as both of them hate them, while the others in their class love theirs. Jack decides to help him out again with the father-son rocket but this time they would shoot a golf ball at their rockets but instead lands on one of the kids and they both ran before anyone would see. "Freakin' Enamored" was a very well written that had some well developed characters. The performances from Howerton, Oswalt, Jacob McCarthy, Arm and Mary Sohn were amazing and hilarious. Not to mention Lisa Loeb and Erin Hayes' guest appearance on the show as Miles' new girlfriend and Devin's mother.I couldn't get enough of the Parents Day one on one meeting with Jack, which was amazing especially watching Heather and her parents and Sarika and her mother.  Overall, I give this episode a 8/10. You can catch A.P. Bio Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
