all i've been having lately is hcs
anywho so fun fact; i hc Kokichi's hair is like 12 kinds of fucked up. he washes it too often, its got saltwater damage, its got split ends- this shit dry, frizzy, and upsettingly stiff for someone who's natural hair texture is thin and straight.
like this image i snagged off google is a pretty damn good visual of his hair's health status
this texture is why he's able to so easily curl his hair tips by playing with them, his hair so fucked up it's like it has built in hair spray
having said this i think it'd be really sweet if Shuichi- whom does take care of his hair- forces Kokichi to do something about this disaster when they inevitably move in together as adults. he gets him some high quality moisturizing hair products, makes him use detangler while brushing, helps him create a schedule for how often he washes his hair- and it's so fucking worth it.
Kokichi's hair goes from nightmare to something actually really nice and controllable, and now he can actually play with and style it like he likes to do Shuichi's hair. Shuichi in turn also now gets to play with Kokichi's hair and enjoy it instead of cringing at the awful texture

I'm a fully grown adult. I have my own flat that I pay rent on. I do grown-up things. And yet I just had to go and buy child's detangling spray for my hair
#I have really thick hair#even brushing and combing it several times a day doesn’t help#why do only little kids need detangling spray?#I swear I'm a real grown up

Oh. They make hair detangling spray, if that's something that would be useful to you? It's marketed to kids more, but they make adult versions too. I have some, myself. Makes it a lot easier!
Oh! That does sound like it’d be helpful… Thank you, I’ll look into finding some.

THE PARIAH: RUSTY CRAVEN
The road outside my house is paved with good intentions. Hired a construction crew 'cause it's hell on the engine.
"I'm Rusty Craven, I'm 35 years old, and I'm the Head Forest Ranger for Huntsville. I have no children of my own, but am raising my niece Genesis Boone after the death of her parents in 2011, as we're each other's only remaining family. I was a soldier in the US military up until my return to Huntsville, and it was in the military where I became friends with Duck Romero, who was my commanding officer. I'm a born Huntsville native, but I was disowned by my family at 17 years old and sent to military school upon coming out as Gay. My husband Lee and I are well liked by the people of the town, and I am ambivalent toward the commune. My most prevalent vice is lingering on my past."
Name: Peter Russell "Rusty" Craven (Nee Boone)
Aliases: Rus, Rusty, Russ, Uncle Rusty, Ranger Craven, Pete/Petey (Not preferred), Junior (He'll kill you.)
Age: 35 (September 27th) [Libra]
Sexuality/Gender: Gay Cis Male [He/Him]
Personality: There's not a soul in Huntsville with a foul word to say about Russ Craven. A loving man with a big heart and an open-door policy for anyone who might need a shoulder to cry on, or even a warm dinner and a spare bed to sleep in, Rusty would give the shirt off his back to lighten the weight on another's shoulders. A responsible, bright man, he's easily flustered when it comes to anything romantic or sexual, coloring stark red in the face and stammering his way out of the conversation as quickly as possible. Despite his pleasant demeanor, there's a distinct sadness still lingering within him, the loss of his husband six years ago still too fresh to cope with some nights, and the knowledge that had they never returned, he may be alive haunting his quiet hours. He puts a happy face on to protect the people that matter to him, and to most of the younger kids around Huntsville, "Uncle Rusty" is less a statement of his relation to them, and more of their clear trust and affection for the man.
Occupation: Head Ranger of the Monongahela Parks and Game Forest Rangers. One of few remaining.
Affiliations: The Townsfolk of Huntsville, The US Military (veteran), Monongahela Parks and Game.
Scent Profile: Dirt and diesel, something faintly spicy, earthy, meaty like a carefully cooked, well rounded dinner. Pine and maple sap as well as a clinging sweetness from a cologne a touch more feminine than one would assume of Rusty's appearance, and cigarette smoke, a vice he falls victim to more often than he cares to admit.
Aesthetic: A crowded but clean kitchen, something that smells like home cooking away on the stove. An old tube TV quietly playing reruns of a sitcom from the 90s while you slowly drift off to sleep on the couch- the knowledge you'll wake up in your own bed, no matter how big you get. Carefully polished old leather boots starting to show their age, military fatigues worked into general day to day wear, a pride in who he once was, and who he's become. Children's detangling hair spray and multicolored hair ties and beads alongside a beard trimmer and aftershave in the bathroom, framed drawings and old photos of people long since dead dotting hallway walls.
So hum hallelujah, just off the key of reason- I thought I loved you, it was just how you looked in the light.
CHAPTER ONE: LIFE IN HUNTSVILLE POST PARADOX.
Serving now as the head of the ranger team tied to the local forest, Rusty, Duck, and their remaining skeleton crew of rangers serve largely as protection and surveillance for those out on hunting trips to provide food and supplies to the town. He spends a number of nights in the primary ranger station, tracking the movements of ghosts and radioing to other watch points- which has led to him being absent from home, for a number of overnights. With Sissy growing into her own as an adult, Rusty's found himself in a fugue state, the knowledge that he's been single for over half a decade made all the more present with his niece's interest in romance of her own becoming more pressing. He's well aware that the way he lingers on his past is unhealthy- there's no changing where he is now, Huntsville, with Lee long gone. He can put the ache to the side most days, focusing on looking after the people of the town and those who rely on him, often offering up space at the old Boone residence for Sissy's friends and anyone needing time away from their own troubles and a home-cooked meal.
He's nervous and careful, meeting new people, burned from his past and still in the grasp of a long-term loss of his faith, he desperately wants to reach out and have more friends his own age than simply Duck, and perhaps find love again, but options are slim in Huntsville, and love opens him up to sorrow once more, something he's witnessed first hand in the aftermath of Duck's wife dying. He tries his best to find comfort in the strange monotony they've managed to put together in their survival, hunting, cooking, rationing, and scraping by, but some part of him still wants to seek something better- to die lonely in his 30s had never been the plan- it just seems to be his fate, at this rate.

Discreet Littlespace Tips!
I feel like there will always be demand for this kind of advice
1. Buy baby powder + baby oil for cheap from the dollar store or grocery store, odds are people won’t question you for using baby powder for chafing or baby oil for moisturizing!
2. Detangling Spray, you can also get this cheap from Walmart or target and from what I’ve seen they really only come in the kids form. They smell good, and no one will really question you using a hair product
3. I’ve been able to get away with having sippy cups by working at a summer camp during the summer and coming back with them saying “it was a kind of joke there that everyone had them”. Obviously not everyone can do that, but you could say when you went to your friends house you did a trend or something with them
4. Coloring books, obviously. I always tell my mom I don’t like the small lines of adult coloring books and enjoy coloring in kids ones more!
Share your own advice in the comments!! ♡

A S H T O N - B L A K E
Chapter 40: New and Approved
I shook my head slightly as the pair of siblings worked on me, my mind for some reason going to the man who made me who I am, who made me unable to leave him, who made me sleep on the ground while he got a bed, who rubbed mud on me when I didn't do something absolutely perfectly.
If it wasn't for the unlocked door and his heavy sleeping, I would still be in that disgusting room staring up at the tiled ceiling.
I let out a small breath as I sat up in the tub, Beatrix brushing out my hair as Benedict held up one of my legs, scrubbing away the dirt and mud.
I covered my private area with my hands, wincing and groaning when Beatrix would try to brush out a knot.
"Sorry if the brush is pulling a little too hard, I'm using detangle but it's not really helping," Beatrix spoke, er voice holding a hint of guiltiness but also anger about her detangle not working.
I clenched my teeth as she continued to run the brush from about an inch or two from the bottom of my hair down, knots still being brushed out from the small area even though there was plenty more to do.
My hair was to my shoulders, at this point, I wouldn't care if we shaved it.
I heard her spray more of the detangle onto my ends, a lot of it, before immediately picking up her brush again.
She tried to brush the knots from my hair and even I could tell she was getting frustrated since the knots that lingered on my head wouldn't leave.
"Go take a break, Beatrix," I heard the soft voice of Benedict as he tried to wash the layers of dirt and mud from my skin.
"Gladly," I heard her mutter, before hearing things being dropped onto the floor in distaste.
"I need a break before continuing to work on Ashton's new and approved look," Benedict sighed as he set down the wash-cloth, turning his head to watch his sister leave the room.
He looked so defeated, almost as if he couldn't grasp onto the situation at hand. He took a breath before picking up the wash-cloth again, gently wiping at the brown that stained my skin.
"How did you change so much in a couple months?" I heard him ask, his voice monotone and plain.
"You used to be clean, your hair always used to be combed even though it looked messy and tangled by the end of the day."
"I didn't stay with Captain Levine, the time I was gone. I went from one guy to another. Each didn't care about my hygiene or health, I was just a fuck-toy to them. I didn't matter," I breathed out .
"The last man was cruel, he hit and beat me. Almost as if it gave him pleasure. He made me do things for him, disgusting things, which I didn't know when we agreed to have me live with him."
"I thought it was just a sex arrangement but he would hit me, beat me, rub mud on me, make me sleep outside or make me rub dirt on myself if I said or did anything wrong."
"I got out when he was sleeping one night with the door accidentally unlocked. I've been sleeping in the woods for a few nights, trying to make it back here. To see you and Beatrix," I clarified.
"How'd you know I would take you back?"
His eyes darted to mine, they suddenly looked angry.
"You cheated on me, Ashton, all because I said no," he spat out, dropping my leg so it fell into the water.
It splashed, the water hitting my face and chest as he stared at me.
He clenched onto the bottle of body wash, his eyes glowing a golden color as he stared at my form.
"I explained why," I said lightly, my voice soft and hardly audible.
"And you said you understood. You forgave me," I stated, in a questioning tone.
"Do you know how badly it stings when you see your mate on top of someone else. You..." he stopped, making me wonder what he was about to say.
"What?" I asked, searching for his eyes as they stared down at the muddy colored water.
"You betrayed me," he spoke, his voice quiet but strong.
"I know why you did it. I just... I just don't know how you could."
"It took my mind off of everything they did to me and after the first time, I couldn't stop because I didn't think about being held down and raped when I did it."
"I had the control when going from guy to guy, it was what I craved. The control of it all. When I remembered you after it all, after each session, I just... I felt worse than you may ever believe," I spoke, looking towards the door.
"Until I can learn to fully accept your mistake, we can be civil but I don't want another relationship, for it to just be crashed. I was wrong earlier, for calling you baby, for smiling and acting like nothing happened, for telling you I'm not mad. I never should have forgave you or act like I understood completely."
He sighed, setting the bottle of body wash off to the side.
"I am mad. I am disappointed. I'm not leaving you but a one-sided relationship isn't going to work and I'm not the one trying to make it work. I'm just pretending to cover how badly you hurt me. I'm pretending to cover the scars you left and I'm doing a pretty shit job at it."
"I understand it's a trauma response, to have sex with multiple different people, to search for that same control but I'm your mate, Ashton. You should have talked to me, so we could get you a therapist. You shouldn't have just fucked some stranger, when I said no. No is valid for men too, not just females, Ashton."
"But you acted like we could go right back, to how we were? Now, what do you want us to be?" I asked, confusion clouding my mind.
"I don't know," he said softly.
"You can still sleep in my room, in the bed, alone, until I'm ready to take things further than acting civil. I'll take the couch."
He narrowed his eyebrows, apparently thinking hard about the situation as he picked the bottle of body wash up yet again, squirting some of the liquid onto the now cold stained rag before grabbing my leg and holding it up.
I shivered as the cold flannel touched my skin, the body wash letting bubbles drip down into the water as he scrubbed and wiped at my skin.
He scrubbed harder than before, the usual pale white color of my skin now a pale red.
He scraped and rubbed at my sore skin, wiping away the dirt that's been stuck to my skin for weeks now.
There was an awkward tension in the room when Beatrix came back in, no longer complaining about how tangled my hair was since as soon as she walked into the room, she saw the both of us sitting awkwardly.
I winced as Beatrix pulled a brush through my hair and as Benedict scrubbed at my skin.
Neither of them talking or letting out sounds such as laughter from Benedict when Beatrix dropped something in the water.
Or groaning from Beatrix when she couldn't get a knot out.
Or chuckling from Benedict when Beatrix said a funny joke,
Or giggling from Beatrix when Benedict looked at a piece of dried mud on my leg like it was his only enemy.
It was now just bland and awkward in the medium sized bathroom I was stuck in.
No sounds to be heard and no funny matters.
There was just anger and disappointment filling the air.

5 Best Detangling Sprays for Kids & Toddlers
Are you at wit's end trying to untangle a hairbrush out of your kid's hair? All parents have been there. For some mind-boggling ways, your kid managed to wound a hairbrush on its hair enough to drive a hairstylist crazy. But here's my good news: you don't need to cut anything. All you need is the best detangling spray for kids. So if you're dealing with the unimaginable, here are five of the best detangling sprays that you can use:
How do detangling sprays work?
My 5-year-old niece has this annoying habit of putting things on her hair, mostly brushes and items that can easily cause tangles. One time, I had to babysit her, and I decided to go to the bathroom to pee. When I came back, she had her mom's round brush all wound up in her long hair. I had to call my sister just to ask what to do. She then instructed me to get this detangling spray in the bathroom. I sprayed it, massage a bit, and it really did well in loosening the hair. In just 5 minutes, I managed to get the brush out of my niece's hair. It's actually the Original Sprout detangler, which apparently what my sister considers her Holy Grail for such situations. About two months after that encounter, I was asked if I can watch over my niece again, this time at my house. Before that day arrived, I bought myself a detangler just in case this little missy decides to do her hair trick again. So how did I use it? You simply shake the bottle, spritz it all over the tangled hair, and massage it. You'll use your fingers to unravel the hair out of the tangles. A detangling spray is like a lubricant that helps each hair strand slide out of its tight knot. The best thing that I like about it is that detangler sprays are formulated with moisturizers that prevent dryness. It's very important for kids since they have sensitive scalps.
How to choose a detangler spray for kids
When it comes to the best detangling spray for kids, I won't complicate things. If you want the best purchase that works, you must consider the following: ✔️Opt for a kid-friendly formula Before you put your money on a spray formula, make sure that it's made for kids. There are many detangler sprays formulated, especially for children. What's the difference between adult and kids spray, you ask? Well, you can easily find a detangler made for all hair types. It can be used by kids and adults because of its gentle formula. Most of the time, these all-around detanglers have all-natural ingredients free of any parabens, phthalates, and other hazardous chemicals. Also, detangler sprays for kids are made to be gentle on their young scalps. The last thing you want is your child's hair falling off after using your own detangler. ✔️Look for a moisturizing option Next, try to look for a formula with moisturizing benefits. Although this isn't a requirement, there's nothing to lose if you have this additional perk. My niece's scalp dries like the Sahara when styled, so I saw to it that I purchased a detangler that locks in moisture without clogging the hair follicles. Also, the moisturizing characteristic of the detangler will actually prevent further knots and tangles. Since the hair is silky, it slides on each other smoothly. ✔️Select based on hair type Here's one thing I learned after talking to a friend: always consider the hair type when buying a detangler. Curly hair kids need a lot of moisturization, which brings us back to my previous point. Try to find a detangler with moisturizing ingredients. Meanwhile, those with straight or wavy hair can skip the extra moisturizer. This hair type can be detangled by just about any detangler in the market (as long as it doesn't have harmful chemicals, though!). Lastly, kiddies with fine or thin hair will need extra moisture. To my surprise, I found out that fine hair tends to get tangled more than curly hair. This explains why my niece always gets nasty knots on her wispy locks. For this hair type, look for a lightweight detangler that will not weigh the hair down. ✔️Conditioner vs. spray While browsing for a detangler online, I found out that you can choose between a spray and a conditioner. Both works, but if you want convenience and immediate results, you will do well on a spray detangler. Conditioners, on the other hand, are available in leave-in or washable versions. The only gripe I have this option is that some formulas tend to weigh the hair down. With that saying, avoid using this on kids with fine hair, unless a detangler spray isn't doing its magic. ✔️Consider the smell Last but not the least, always check the smell. Kids will not be modest about their feelings when it comes to smell. If the detangler you're using has an intoxicating scent, your little one will loathe it. Also, the overpowering smell might be a sign that the detangler is packed with lots of unnecessary chemicals. It may end up irritating the kid's scalp. Go for light and natural scent that leaves a mild whiff on a kid's hair. Tips in removing tangles on a child's hair To make sure you will succeed in your detangling task, you must keep these tidbits in mind: Don't pull! The mortal sin of untangling is pulling and yanking the knot. This will make matters worse, not to mention that the kid will end up crying or hating you. - Always use a detangler. Don't just rely on your untangling skills. Always use a detangler spray to loosen the hair. This will let you finish the task faster. - Work in sections. A large knot may seem intimidating, but if you work on sections, you can easily unravel it bit by bit. Also, jumping in different spots of the hair will only make more tangles along the way. - Don't cut. Remember that trimming the knot is the last resort. Use a detangler spray before you even think of using the scissors. - Prevent it from happening. You can prevent severe knots on your kids' hair by keeping their locks moisturized and well-combed all the time. Also, put away any brushes that they may entwine with their hair.
Best Detangling Spray For Kids – My Top 5 Picks!
1. MY TOP PICK: Original Sprout Miracle Detangler If there's one detangler spray I count on, it would be the Original Sprout Miracle Spray. I use this detangler both on my niece and my own hair. It's a leave-in conditioner made of all-natural ingredients and infused with moisturizers. This is tested to be safe for adults, kids, and even babies! It also works for all hair types and textures, making it the best detangling spray for kids. It's widely loved by moms and even professional stylists due to its effective formula. It's a fragrance-free spray with no dairy, gluten, soy, or honey. This is also cruelty-free and 100% vegan. And for those with a sensitive scalp, it's comforting to know that this spray is free from titanium dioxide or nanoparticles that may block the hair follicles. Aside from that, it has extracts of cranberry fruit, rosemary leaves, arnica, cucumber, and calendula, among others. All of these natural ingredients give this detangler a nice scent, which my niece also likes. I can assure you that Original Sprout is kid-friendly because it's free of tea tree and lavender oil, which are associated with hormonal disruptions among children. If you're a meticulous mom, this is an unbeatable option. Pros Cruelty-free and vegan Free from lavender and tea tree oil Works for all ages and hair types Cons The packaging can make use of improvements. RUNNERS-UP: 2. Wet Brush Time Release Kids Detangler Spray If you want a detangling spray that lasts for days on each application, you should consider the Wet Brush Time Release Spray. This formula untangles for up to three days. It's also packed with keratin that repairs split ends and strengthens hair. So aside from removing the tangles on your kid's hair, this formula also nourishes the scalp and tresses. Moreover, it leaves a nice shine, which makes the hair look clean and fresh. It doesn't have nitrates, parabens, and sulfates, either so it's safe to use for kids and adults alike. If your child has color-treated hair, the Wet Brush detangler spray is still a good choice. It works like magic on almost every hair type. I also use this on my hair, and it works amazing as well. My friend's daughter also prefers this spray since it makes her long hair manageable. Most of all, it helps eliminate lice, which is an important feature for young kids. Also, if your little one tends to have sensitivities to other detangler sprays, this one from Wet Brush might be the one that you're looking for. However, if there's one thing I could change about this product, it would be the smell. Surprisingly, my niece loves it, but I find it a little overpowering since I have a sensitive nose. Pros Helps remove lice Detangles for up to 3 days Strengthens the hair Cons The smell could be less strong, in my opinion 3. Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Detangler Another option that you can try is the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Detangler. This specific bundle has two 8-ounce bottles of good-smelling and all-natural detangler spray. Its formula is mixed with slippery elm, marshmallow root extract, coconut oil, hibiscus extracts, and shea butter. To moisturize and nourish the hair, this detangler spray is also blended with jojoba seed oil without sulfates. Also, this detangler spray from Shea Moisture has no phthalates, parabens, mineral oil, and propylene glycol. It's also cruelty-free, making it a wise buy for every meticulous parent out there. Aside from detangling, this spray also helps manage frizz while promoting hair growth. It also restores the balance of the hair for a shiny and soft finish. Overall, this is safe for both kids and adults, not to mention that it has a nice scent. One thing I like the most is how lightweight this detangler is in terms of consistency. It suits kids and adults with fine hair without weighing their hair down too much. If your little one can make epic hair tangles after a day of playing, make sure that you have a bottle of this at home. Pros All-natural ingredients Nice smell Works well for fine hair Cons The one I got has a leaky bottle, but I think it's due to courier issues 4. Daily Dose Leave-in Conditioner & Detangler If you prefer a leave-in conditioner detangler, you should check out this one from Daily Dose. It works as a conditioner, detangler, frizz remover, and flyaway tamer. One thing I like best about this is its lightweight formula that prevents the hair from getting weighed down too much. Aside from that, this formula suits all hair types, as well as kids. Whether your child has wavy, curly, coily, straight, or fine hair, this product is a Holy Grail. It has a non-greasy finish and a fine mist that makes it easy to apply. Most of all, it's free of the bad stuff. It doesn't have petrolatum, phthalates, lead, parabens, synthetic colors, and iron oxide. It's made gentle for kids who keep on getting their hair extremely tangled. Moreover, the Daily Dose detangler conditioner strengthens, moisturizes, softens, and protects the hair. It's also scalp-friendly, so rest assured that your little one won't feel itchy. It's also suitable for color-treated hair if used by adults. You and your child can use this every day without any adverse side effects on the hair. Some users complain about the smell, but I've tried it, and I don't find it repulsive. To each his own, I suppose. Pros Free of the bad stuff Light formula Non-greasy finish Cons You may need to apply a little more for curly hair 5. Totlogic Kids Detangler Spray My last recommendation for this roundup is the Totlogic Kids Detangler Spray. It's the perfect choice for those who are on a budget but looking for a decent detangler for their kids. To start with this, the Totlogic detangler suits all hair types for both girls and boys. Adults can also use this for tangles. It's infused with botanicals and antioxidants to nourish the hair while combatting split ends, and frizz. Your kid's hair will also be easier to comb with this spray product. As a safe detangler spray for kids, this Totlogic product doesn't have petroleum, parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, and other harsh chemicals. This one doesn't have any synthetic fragrances, which suits kids with very sensitive noses. It doesn't have an artificial color either, which makes it safe to use for those with sensitive scalps. Aside from that, you can use this formula on both wet and dry hair. In case you consider this paramount, the Totlogic detangler spray is cruelty-free, and it doesn't have any ingredients sourced from animals. You can now say goodbye to tangles and frizz without the frills! Pros Mild, natural scent Suitable for all hair types Rich with antioxidants to condition the hair Cons A little sticky, but not much of a big deal Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I stop my child's hair from tangling? A: If your child seems to get hair tangles almost every day, you need a leave-in detangler spray. Some products like the Wet Brush Time Release Detangler work for days to prevent tangles on kids' hair. You should also shampoo their hair to the roots. And if possible, keep your child's hair at a manageable length. Q: Why is my daughter's hair knot too easily? A: It's possible that your daughter isn't rinsing shampoo properly. The residue from the shampoo will cause the hair to tangle easily. It will also be difficult to comb through. Don't worry, though, even the most tangled hair will yield to a good detangler spray. Feel free to choose from the five options I reviewed above! Q: Is it advisable to cut tangled hair off my child's head? A: As much as possible, avoid cutting any length when dealing with knots and tangles. Your child may not love it, either, especially if a large portion of their hair is involved. There's a way to fix the problem by using an effective detangling spray. Also, never rip or yank tangled hair. It will only hurt the child and make the knots much worse. Q: Can a detangler spray damage a child's hair? A: No, if you get a kid-friendly option. Most of these products are infused with moisturizing ingredients that actually help keep healthy hair and scalp. A detangler spray will only damage the hair if you over-indulge or if its formula is reeking of phthalates, sulfates, and other harmful chemicals. Q: Should I detangle hair dry or wet? A: If you're dealing with coarse, curl, or dry hair, you must detangle it wet. This will give a more slippery effect that allows you to remove the knots without hurting your scalp. But to be sure, it's best to use a detangler spray for the job. It works for all hair types, even for kids! Final words With the best detangling spray for kids, knots and tangles are no longer a dilemma. Since kids can get their pretty messy and tangled during playtime, you should always have a bottle of this spray product at home. It will also come handy in case your little one played with your hair and left you with a classic hairstyle. Read the full article

HOW TO GET COATS TO DETANGLE WITH EASE
Some dogs have coats that require more attention and are more prone to matting. Longhaired breeds, which tangle easily; teenage dogs losing their puppy fur and developing adult coats; and dogs living in wet or humid locations, which may produce frizzy fur, are just a few of the causes. Regular brushing is the first step in keeping tangles and mats at bay, regardless of the reason. Brushing longhaired dogs three to five times per week is beneficial; shorthaired dogs should be brushed two to three times per week. These coat problems are especially common in long-haired dogs who don't like to get wet. Don't worry; all you need is a proper guidance and the appropriate tools to begin dog grooming.
Mats and tangles may be tough to remove, especially if your dog isn't fond of standing still. Furthermore, sensitive dogs will dislike you pulling on their coats and may refuse to endure the treatment. Treats might help your dog connect grooming sessions with something enjoyable. The best remedy is to prevent issues from occurring in the first place. Brush your dog every day to keep his coat clean and prevent matting. Regular grooming is usually enough to keep tangles at bay. If your dog enjoys being outside, he will likely pick up some harmful material, twigs, and leaves, which may cause his coat to mat faster. If your long-coated dog's coat has developed mats and tangles, start working on them right away before things get out of hand.
HERE ARE SOME AWESOME TIPS WHICH CAN HELP YOU OUT:
1. BRUSH BEFORE BATHING:
Brushing your pet’s hair early to remove tangles helps make bath time go faster and simpler, as well as drying time. This is especially crucial for dogs with long fur or fur that is prone to matting. Mats or snarls can form even on a routinely brushed coat.
2.WHERE MATS ARE CAUSED:
Mats form between the legs, under the chest and tail, and around the ears and collar, among other places where there is rubbing or movement. Matting can also happen if old, loose fur isn't brushed or combed out entirely. If left untreated, additional old fur can become entangled with new, developing fur, resulting in mats that are bigger, tighter, and closer to the skin. You face the danger of some undesirable material, leaves, and other outside debris getting trapped in your dog's fur if he lives an active outdoor lifestyle.
3.WHY THEY ARE BAD:
Matted fur can harm your dog's skin by preventing oxygen and moisture from reaching it. Furthermore, the clumps of fur push on the skin, weakening it. Mats can also serve as a parasite breeding habitat.
4. HOW TO REMOVE THEM:
If the mat isn't too huge or tight, the easiest method to deal with it is to gently pull it apart with your fingers, then use a brush or metal comb to comb out the smaller tangles. It will be easier to comb through the fur if you use an oil-based detangling spray. Gently break the knot into smaller pieces by holding the fur underneath the tangle (close to the skin). Use a comb to make short, quick strokes, then a slicker brush to finish. There will be less tugging on the skin, which can be uncomfortable!
5.HOW TO PREVENT:
The most efficient way to avoid matting is to brush your dog's fur on a regular basis. Feel his coat with your fingertips to see whether there are any clumps of fur hiding beneath the surface.
Even if your dog is prone to mats and tangles, you can keep them at bay with the appropriate dog grooming tools, products, and techniques. Your dog, as well as yourself, will appreciate the extra effort. So here is the list of products which we prefer.
1. TROPICLEAN TANGLE REMOVER:

Brushing time may be slashed in half with the TropiClean Tangle Remover Spray for Dogs and Cats. It penetrates knots and mats fast, allowing you to brush them out softly. This product also aids in reviving damaged fur and restoring coat suppleness. It gives your pet's fur a beautiful shine.
2. ANDIS STANDARD DEMATTING RAKE:
The Andis Standard Dematting Rake effectively removes tangles and mats. Grooming is made easier with the ergonomic lightweight handle and non-slip grip. It's suitable for all coat kinds, but especially thick, long hair. It's crucial to massage the rake into the skin since it helps to relax and eliminate dandruff.
3. ANDIS STANDARD PIN BRUSH:
Andis Standard Pin Brush helps distribute natural oils throughout the coat while removing knots, debris, and loose hair. This will promote new hair growth while also keeping your hair looking healthy. The anti-slip, easy-grip handle makes grooming safer, more pleasurable, and easier. A unique pin pad on this brush prevents the brush teeth from falling out after continuous use.
4. ANDIS STANDARD STEEL COMB:
The Andis Steel Comb provides award-winning grooming for dogs of all sizes. The skin and hair follicles are stimulated while tangles, mats, loose hair, and debris are eliminated. It's perfect for fluffing and finishing, and it's light enough to groom without exhausting you. There are coarse and fine teeth on this comb. Using the bigger side, you may rapidly untangle mats or give the coat a fluffy/finished appearance. For finer fur or delicate regions like the face and paws, use the finer side.
5. GROOMERS GOOP GLOSSY COAT SHAMPOO:
Pic Credit: PETS BEST INSURANCE
Groomer's goop glossy coat shampoo effectively cleans and prepares the coat for shine. The four-in-one solution cleans, conditions, detangles, and moisturizes your dog's coat every time you wash it, leaving it as healthy and glossy as ever.
A professional groomer may be necessary to trim or shave your dog's coat if it has been neglected and he has developed a particularly bad case of matting or tangling as a result. If you have a good set of clippers and are comfortable with them, you can do it yourself. If your dog develops skin irritation or sores as a consequence of tangled debris in his coat, take him to the doctor. You may start anew by cutting the coat to a very short length, which will help prevent mats and tangles from forming.

Could you please write something on KabuOro + (Orochimaru’s) makeup ?
How ever you interpret that is cool! Or I’d love to see this ship more, in any way :)
Let me Take Care of You
Orochimaru always had a steady hand, perfect lines of ink and lead gracing parchment, paper and anything he touched. It was something Kabuto always watched. As a kid, as a teen and now as an adult. Orochimaru's hand sliding across a scroll to write a message, snow white fingers contrasting the deep brown of the wood, the brush fit in his hand so snug.
After having two children, and being rushed with work, Kabuto had no time to watch. Orochimaru grew impatient, rarely brushing his hair, forgetting to change his clothes before going to bed, and even forgetting to do his make up.
Kabuto missed it, a beautiful bright shade of purple, dusting over his eyes and down the sides of his nose. Strawberry lipbalm that tinted his lips a soft pink, always drawing his eyes.
Orochimaru slaved over his work like every night, but Kabuto was set to change it. Sneaking up behind him and snaking his arms around his waist and kissing at his neck. Orochimaru jumped, so focused he didn't hear Kabuto enter.
"K-Kabuto-kun, you startled me..."
"You're overworking yourself again..."
Kabuto's voice was deep and husky, in a tone Orochimaru could never say no to. Kisses and nibbles crept up his neck, Orochimaru sighed softly.
"Let me take care of you..."
Orochimaru tilted his head to the side, defeated, laughing softly when big strong arms hoisted him up and carried him to their bedroom.
Brushes and combs were laid out on the bed, with a small eyeshadow pallete that Orochimaru used back when he had time.
Setting his work of art down, Kabuto began to work. Spraying the knotted hair with detangler before working through it with a brush. Orochimaru smiled, listening to Kabuto's soft humming.
"Always keeping me in check... aren't you, Kabuto-kun?"
He leaned back, kissing Kabuto softly on the lips before sitting up again. Kabuto switched to a comb, undoing the smaller knots.
"Someone has to... other wise you'd go psychotic."
They laughed, not noticing the little eyes watching them from the door.
With his hair combed out of the way, Orochimaru turned to face his husband. His eyes fluttering shut for his makeup.
Lining his lids with a purple liquid liner, Kabuto replicated the delicate look he fell deeply in love with. Carefully brushing on the pigment, dabbing it into the skin.
"Purple looks good on you."
"Does it?"
"It goes beautifully with your eyes..."
Orochimaru looked at him with half lidded eyes, staring deep and longingly at him. Kabuto had grown so much, changed so much, but never stopped looking after him. Loving him.
"I think it will look better in my neck..."
"I agree... but the children are near.
Kabuto chuckled, watching Orochimaru's cheeks turn a bright red.
"Next time, then... when there's no one to watch."
Orochimaru leaned in, kissing Kabuto's cheek.
"Definitely..."

(Not Funny Owl House Ideas & Headcanon Tings-) Part 4 ~Bonding Time~ Mini Fic
Okay, 2 Owl House crack posts in a week, new record!
Ignoring my incredibly bad upload schedule, (if you’d even call it that), let get on with this crack idea! (Which is a little different than my normal stuff-)
@callmemichie It’s here.... :3
So since Lilith is now going to live at The Owl House now I came up with this..
Lilith and Luz family bonding time.
Oookay, look.
I know I know, “lUz HaTeS LiLiTh”
Please let me LIVE WITH AUNT AND NIECE BONDING TIME
Anywayyyy-
Onto the story!!!!
(Synopsis Type Thingy)
This was a routine for Lilith.
A ritual that has never been broken in 20 or so years.
That is, until she betrayed the emperor and started living with her sister at the Owl House.
It took her almost an entire week to take a shower. All for the sole purpose that she was up to her eyeballs in petty chores her sister gave her.
So when she finally did take a shower, she expected something to go wrong.
And low and behold!
Something did.
* * *
Lilith gripped each side of the basin until her knuckles turned white. She slowly looked up at the mirror, allowing some hair to fall into her face before letting out all the air she was holding in.
She stood up straight, removing her hands from the sink and using them to push the hair out of her face. She took another deep breath.
“You can do this Lilith...”
She picked up an ovaline object with a plastic handle and winced as she brought it up to her head, and, she brushed.
For a millisecond before the brush gave up on it’s life and got caught in Lilith’s matted hair.
After yelping in pain she growled and slammed her fists on the sides of the sink in anger, causing various objects to fall off the basin and onto the tile floor.
And that my friends, was the fifth hair product that had gotten stuck in her hair after attempting to get the matted knots out.
Lilith was just about to give up and go to sleep when she heard the tiny pitter patter of mouse feet in the hallway, and the tiny groggy voice of one human girl.
“Lilith?”
Lilith’s head shot over towards the doorway to find a half asleep Luz draped in a blanket with her eyes half lidded.
“Oh! Human! What are you doing awake? it’s almost 11 and-” Lilith paused mid sentence and sighed, looking back into the mirror and her reflection. “Who am I kidding I’m not your mother...”
“What are-” Luz yawned. “You doing up?” She asked, rubbing her eye with the hand not holding the blanket.
“Oh, um me? Just-” Lilith took yet another deep breath. “Trying to brush my hair...” She tugged on one of the combs caught in it. “Of course it isn’t going how it usually does since I haven’t brushed it in-”
Luz gasped dramatically, cutting off Lilith and getting a sudden burst of energy. She dropped the blanket, pressing her hands to her face, her eyes practically popped out of her head.
Lilith eyed the girl for a few seconds before she spoke up again. “I can help you-”
“NO- No! I do not need your help! I can deal with this in the morning. By myself.” Lilith crossed her arms, and squinted at the human before her.
Luz’s demeanor practically deflated, she hunched over with a frown on her face, looking up at Lilith. “But-”
She held a hand up and silenced the human, refusing to look at her.
Luz turned on her heel and was about to pick up her blanket and walk out the bathroom doorway when she looked back at Lilith.
“Fine then, don’t let me help you.”
“Thank you-”
“I’ll just tell Eda that you refused to let me go out of my way to do something nice for you even after you TRIED TO KILL ME. I’m sure she would ‘like’ that...” Luz turned around and smirked, this time she was the one crossing her arms.
Lilith was practically dumbfounded. She stood there like a petrified statue for a few seconds before she hunched over and groaned. “You really are Eda’s kid..” She whispered.
She thought for a few seconds before sighing in defeat. “Fine, you can help me. But I doubt it’ll do anything but-” Lilith couldn’t finish her sentence for Luz had already run up to her and began dragging Lilith to her bedroom.
Before Lilith could comprehend what was happening, she was sat on the floor of Luz’s private bathroom, the girl pulling up a stool behind Lilith so she could easily brush her hair.
Luz sat down on the stool and grabbed some of Lilith’s hair in her hand, inspecting it a bit before she began to get the stuck combs and brushes out of Lilith’s hair.
With somewhat mild pain to Lilith Luz managed to get all 5 hair brushing instruments out of Lilith’s hair. She picked up one of them and began to carefully, (trying not to hurt her), brush Lilith’s hair.
After quite a few moments of painfully awkward silence, (in Lilith’s opinion), the adult reluctantly spoke up. “Why are.. you doing this?” She asked, her voice laced with caution.
“Because I want to help you!” Luz exclaimed cheerfully, gliding the brush through Lilith’s hair and pulling on a large knot, causing Lilith to hiss in pain. “Sorry!”
Lilith quickly regained her composure. “I mean, I noticed that but.. Why? I, witchnapped Eda, tried to kill you, I-” The witch paused, staring at the floor. “I did a lot of bad things.. What I’m trying is say is.. Why are you being nice to me of all people??”
Luz continued to brush the witch’s hair, trying her best to get out some of the smaller knots without hurting her. “I mean, you did do all that, stuff... And more..” Luz added at the end. “But, you’re trying to be better. And... I like better people!”
Lilith let out a sort of jagged breath. “Thank you human..”
Luz smiled down at the witch. “You’re very welcome Lilith!”
They stayed silent for a few quiet minutes. The only sound being the brushing of Lilith’s hair as Luz continued to try and get the knots out.
Lilith broke the silence. “Since we’re gonna be here a while.. I don’t suppose you’d like me to tell you a few stor-”
“OH WOULD I!?!??!”
Lilith chuckled at the girl’s enthusiasm. “Okay then.”
So, she told.
She told Luz, about her experiences at The Emperor’s Coven, she told Luz how she met Kikimora, she told Luz how her red roots were growing in, and how she didn’t have any more hair dye to change it back.
She told her how she usually had magic detangling spray to get the knots out, she told her how Eda almost destroyed Hexside multiple times, she told her things. Happy things.
Before she was cut off.
“I remember this one time Kiki-”
“Done!”
Lilith was startled, the most she’d gotten out of Luz during this entire time was a simple hum or quick question. Her shouting was a complete change of pace.
The witch almost completely forgot the purpose of her being in Luz’s room in the first place.
Luz grabbed a silver hand mirror and held it in front of Lilith’s face so that she could see her reflection.
Lilith’s hair was completely brushed and de knotted, a feat that she herself couldn’t even do, with magic!
Lilith admired the handiwork and touched her now braided, detangled hair. Sure the red roots were an eyesore, sure the grey streak drew attention to them. She didn’t really care at that moment in time.
Lilith began to get up from off the floor but Luz gasping stopped her in her tracks. “WAIT! I almost forgot one thing!” She exclaimed, running out of the bathroom, taking the hand mirror with her
Lilith heard the clatter of something in the room and winced. Luz rushed back in with a notepad and pencil, setting the mirror on the bathroom counter.
Lilith craned her neck to look at Luz and saw her furiously drawing a glyph on the paper, she couldn’t tell which kind of glyph though.
Luz practically threw the pencil down on the counter and tapped the glyph, a flower Lilith had never seen before grew from it.
She ripped the head of the flower from the stem, careful to not damage the petals in the process, and shoved the flower in Lilith’s hair.
Lilith blinked and was slightly startled when she found the hand mirror was in front of her face again, Luz again holding it.
Luz handed the mirror off to Lilith and the witch stared at her reflection once more, specifically the peculiar looking flower in her hair.
“Human,” She began, “What is this?” She pointed to the flower, poking one of the petals in the process.
“A flower.”
Lilith scoffed. “I knew that, I mean, what kind? I’ve never seen it before in my life..”
“Oooohhhh.... It’s a lily! Y’know, a lily for Lily!” Luz said happily, now sitting infront of Lily, the only thing separating them being the hand mirror.
“They named a flower after me?”
Luz stared blankly at her for a few seconds, blinking a few times before she spoke. “Yep. Sure did.”
Lilith hummed in response, continuing to stare at her reflection. She looked up from the mirror to see Luz smiling brightly at her.
She couldn’t help but smile back.
“Thank you hu-”
“Luz, thank you, Luz.”
“You’re welcome Lily.”

Packing For Camp
I go to camp in 10 days!!! It seems every year I run into the problem of over packing so if anybody has any suggestions please let me know! I am going to write out what I normally bring with me and tips about how I pack for camp.
Clothes
12 outfits for 2 weeks (including t-shirts, tank tops, and shorts)
uniform (my camp wears a polo and khaki shorts on check-in days)
“nice” outfits for weekends and special occasions
2 long sleeve shirts (I bring one sweatshirt and one lighter top)
1 pair of jeans (needed for horseback riding and some challenge courses)
1 pair of sweatpants (for cold mornings/nights to wear over shorts)
2 pajama shirts and shorts
1 pair of pajama pants
15+ pairs of socks and underwear
comfortable bras
hats and bandanas
1-2 swimsuits
2 bath towels
1 beach towel
4 washclothes
rain boots
extra pair of tennis shoes
water shoes (for beach front activities like canoeing/kayaking)
sandals (only for weekends, my camp has a closed-toed shoe policy)
5 fabric masks + pack of paper masks
The clothes you bring to camp will probably get dirty with mud, paint, food, etc so don’t bring clothes that you want to keep nice. I try to roll all my clothes to save space. This year most of my clothes are in a duffel bag and what didn’t fit I put into a travel cube which was put into my tote.
Toiletries
shower caddy
shower shoes (I typically buy cheap flip flops from Walmart to use)
hair brush/comb
hair ties and scrunchies
dry shampoo
detangling spray
shampoo and conditioner
body wash and face wash
lotion (look for lotion with aloe or after sun cream for sunburns)
chapstick (look for lip balms with SPF, sunburnt lips hurt)
tooth brush and toothpaste
deodorant
pads and tampons
nail clippers
makeup for weekends and special occasions
face masks (for “spa nights”)
hand sanitizer
laundry detergent and dryer sheets
At my camp we get small cubbies in the pool house to keep our shower items. I try to keep everything in either my shower caddy or pouches to keep it organized. I have a low key obsession with Ipsy bags but they are perfect for storing small items.
Bedding
fitted sheet and flat sheet
blanket
pillow with pillow case
sleeping bag
stuffed animals/comfort items
The bedding you bring depends on your preferences. I choose to sleep with a sheet and a blanket. if its too hot I can take off the blanket and use just the sheet and if it is cold I can use the sleeping bag as a comforter. Its nice to bring a sleeping bag in case you go tent camping or have to sleep in the lodge because of rain. I bring stuffed animals to give to campers, sometimes it can help with homesickness or being scared of sleeping somewhere new. It’s also nice to have something for yourself (even if you are an “adult”).
Other Equipment/Miscellaneous
sunscreen
bug spray
flashlights (I like to use a headlamp because its hands free)
poncho or raincoat
water bottle
mini fan with extra batteries
plastic bags and zip lock bags
books
stationary (envelopes, cards, stamps)
pens/pencils/sharpies
journal
clip board and staff binder
friendship bracelet string and lanyard string
game/song/activity/recipe books
Play-doh
playing cards
back pack
fanny pack
first aide kit
waterproof watch
phone/charger/headphones
I bring a lot of extra stuff for my campers. My mom was a troop leader and service unit director for Girl Scouts so she has collected stuff throughout the years that she then gives me. I bring books, Play-doh, string, etc to do during down time or on a rainy day.
This is basically everything I bring to camp with me. I pack everything in a 40 gallon tote, duffel bag, and backpack. If you have any questions or would want to see pictures let me know! I hope I was able to help anybody trying to pack :)
