Can you do headcanons for Jason Todd/Red Hood as a caregiver?
Of course!
Contrary to what you might assume, Jason's best with baby/toddler regressors. Babies are easy, babies make sense. They want cuddles and attention, they want food, they want you to shake a rattle at them or give them a piggyback ride, and they want a nap. Kids want to play pretend, they like to run around and play and cause havoc and Jason is too awkward to play pretend and frets too much about them getting lost.
He's a big strong man and absolutely flexes it by picking up any little like it's nothing. Carrying, piggyback rides, even letting them ride on his shoulders are a major part of his caregiving style.
You will finish your vegetables before you have any dessert and he will not waver on that. It's important to eat healthy.
Immune to puppy-eyes. Just chuckles and says "Nice try." while patting you on the head.
Babyproofs things. Little rubber stoppers on sharp corners, those little plastic cupboard locks, flat covers over outlets, etc. etc. Even Tim made fun of him for going overboard and that's an achievement.
King of bedtime stories, goes all-in. Voices for each character, big hand gestures, real emotions, gets really into it. He's so good that it's more entertaining than it is soothing and the kid will end up more awake than then they started.
I feel like the first time he ever came across age regression was rescuing a civilian and he noticed that they were behaving strangely, and then when he turned them over to the hospital a nurse explained it to him. After that he couldn't help but notice some familiar signs in his siblings... Hmm...
Keeps a keen eye on all the stuffed animals so he can catch any wear and tear and then sneak it away during nap time to stitch it back up or wash it, good as new.
Could brush your hair if you asked and would try to be gentle but he'd be just a little bad at it. His hands are too big for his own good and he'd be constantly using detangling spray so he didn't catch knots. Even with short hair, he just needs to be sure.
A little bit awkward with tantrums. If they're angry tantrums then he'll try to let them tire themselves out and then talk to them, and if they're sad tantrums then he just holds onto them and like... pets their head. "They're there..?" kinda vibes.
Likes baking with Tim or Steph when they're regressed. Tim is very helpful and Steph just lights up and is excited about the whole process.
Looks after Tim and Steph most frequently. Dick is on the older side and kind of self-sufficient but he'll hang out with him or read to him sometimes.
Firm but gentle parent.

5 Best Detangling Sprays for Kids & Toddlers
Are you at wit's end trying to untangle a hairbrush out of your kid's hair? All parents have been there. For some mind-boggling ways, your kid managed to wound a hairbrush on its hair enough to drive a hairstylist crazy. But here's my good news: you don't need to cut anything. All you need is the best detangling spray for kids. So if you're dealing with the unimaginable, here are five of the best detangling sprays that you can use:
How do detangling sprays work?
My 5-year-old niece has this annoying habit of putting things on her hair, mostly brushes and items that can easily cause tangles. One time, I had to babysit her, and I decided to go to the bathroom to pee. When I came back, she had her mom's round brush all wound up in her long hair. I had to call my sister just to ask what to do. She then instructed me to get this detangling spray in the bathroom. I sprayed it, massage a bit, and it really did well in loosening the hair. In just 5 minutes, I managed to get the brush out of my niece's hair. It's actually the Original Sprout detangler, which apparently what my sister considers her Holy Grail for such situations. About two months after that encounter, I was asked if I can watch over my niece again, this time at my house. Before that day arrived, I bought myself a detangler just in case this little missy decides to do her hair trick again. So how did I use it? You simply shake the bottle, spritz it all over the tangled hair, and massage it. You'll use your fingers to unravel the hair out of the tangles. A detangling spray is like a lubricant that helps each hair strand slide out of its tight knot. The best thing that I like about it is that detangler sprays are formulated with moisturizers that prevent dryness. It's very important for kids since they have sensitive scalps.
How to choose a detangler spray for kids
When it comes to the best detangling spray for kids, I won't complicate things. If you want the best purchase that works, you must consider the following: âď¸Opt for a kid-friendly formula Before you put your money on a spray formula, make sure that it's made for kids. There are many detangler sprays formulated, especially for children. What's the difference between adult and kids spray, you ask? Well, you can easily find a detangler made for all hair types. It can be used by kids and adults because of its gentle formula. Most of the time, these all-around detanglers have all-natural ingredients free of any parabens, phthalates, and other hazardous chemicals. Also, detangler sprays for kids are made to be gentle on their young scalps. The last thing you want is your child's hair falling off after using your own detangler. âď¸Look for a moisturizing option Next, try to look for a formula with moisturizing benefits. Although this isn't a requirement, there's nothing to lose if you have this additional perk. My niece's scalp dries like the Sahara when styled, so I saw to it that I purchased a detangler that locks in moisture without clogging the hair follicles. Also, the moisturizing characteristic of the detangler will actually prevent further knots and tangles. Since the hair is silky, it slides on each other smoothly. âď¸Select based on hair type Here's one thing I learned after talking to a friend: always consider the hair type when buying a detangler. Curly hair kids need a lot of moisturization, which brings us back to my previous point. Try to find a detangler with moisturizing ingredients. Meanwhile, those with straight or wavy hair can skip the extra moisturizer. This hair type can be detangled by just about any detangler in the market (as long as it doesn't have harmful chemicals, though!). Lastly, kiddies with fine or thin hair will need extra moisture. To my surprise, I found out that fine hair tends to get tangled more than curly hair. This explains why my niece always gets nasty knots on her wispy locks. For this hair type, look for a lightweight detangler that will not weigh the hair down. âď¸Conditioner vs. spray While browsing for a detangler online, I found out that you can choose between a spray and a conditioner. Both works, but if you want convenience and immediate results, you will do well on a spray detangler. Conditioners, on the other hand, are available in leave-in or washable versions. The only gripe I have this option is that some formulas tend to weigh the hair down. With that saying, avoid using this on kids with fine hair, unless a detangler spray isn't doing its magic. âď¸Consider the smell Last but not the least, always check the smell. Kids will not be modest about their feelings when it comes to smell. If the detangler you're using has an intoxicating scent, your little one will loathe it. Also, the overpowering smell might be a sign that the detangler is packed with lots of unnecessary chemicals. It may end up irritating the kid's scalp. Go for light and natural scent that leaves a mild whiff on a kid's hair. Tips in removing tangles on a child's hair To make sure you will succeed in your detangling task, you must keep these tidbits in mind: Don't pull! The mortal sin of untangling is pulling and yanking the knot. This will make matters worse, not to mention that the kid will end up crying or hating you. - Always use a detangler. Don't just rely on your untangling skills. Always use a detangler spray to loosen the hair. This will let you finish the task faster. - Work in sections. A large knot may seem intimidating, but if you work on sections, you can easily unravel it bit by bit. Also, jumping in different spots of the hair will only make more tangles along the way. - Don't cut. Remember that trimming the knot is the last resort. Use a detangler spray before you even think of using the scissors. - Prevent it from happening. You can prevent severe knots on your kids' hair by keeping their locks moisturized and well-combed all the time. Also, put away any brushes that they may entwine with their hair.
Best Detangling Spray For Kids â My Top 5 Picks!
1. MY TOP PICK: Original Sprout Miracle Detangler If there's one detangler spray I count on, it would be the Original Sprout Miracle Spray. I use this detangler both on my niece and my own hair. It's a leave-in conditioner made of all-natural ingredients and infused with moisturizers. This is tested to be safe for adults, kids, and even babies! It also works for all hair types and textures, making it the best detangling spray for kids. It's widely loved by moms and even professional stylists due to its effective formula. It's a fragrance-free spray with no dairy, gluten, soy, or honey. This is also cruelty-free and 100% vegan. And for those with a sensitive scalp, it's comforting to know that this spray is free from titanium dioxide or nanoparticles that may block the hair follicles. Aside from that, it has extracts of cranberry fruit, rosemary leaves, arnica, cucumber, and calendula, among others. All of these natural ingredients give this detangler a nice scent, which my niece also likes. I can assure you that Original Sprout is kid-friendly because it's free of tea tree and lavender oil, which are associated with hormonal disruptions among children. If you're a meticulous mom, this is an unbeatable option. Pros Cruelty-free and vegan Free from lavender and tea tree oil Works for all ages and hair types Cons The packaging can make use of improvements. RUNNERS-UP: 2. Wet Brush Time Release Kids Detangler Spray If you want a detangling spray that lasts for days on each application, you should consider the Wet Brush Time Release Spray. This formula untangles for up to three days. It's also packed with keratin that repairs split ends and strengthens hair. So aside from removing the tangles on your kid's hair, this formula also nourishes the scalp and tresses. Moreover, it leaves a nice shine, which makes the hair look clean and fresh. It doesn't have nitrates, parabens, and sulfates, either so it's safe to use for kids and adults alike. If your child has color-treated hair, the Wet Brush detangler spray is still a good choice. It works like magic on almost every hair type. I also use this on my hair, and it works amazing as well. My friend's daughter also prefers this spray since it makes her long hair manageable. Most of all, it helps eliminate lice, which is an important feature for young kids. Also, if your little one tends to have sensitivities to other detangler sprays, this one from Wet Brush might be the one that you're looking for. However, if there's one thing I could change about this product, it would be the smell. Surprisingly, my niece loves it, but I find it a little overpowering since I have a sensitive nose. Pros Helps remove lice Detangles for up to 3 days Strengthens the hair Cons The smell could be less strong, in my opinion 3. Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Detangler Another option that you can try is the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Detangler. This specific bundle has two 8-ounce bottles of good-smelling and all-natural detangler spray. Its formula is mixed with slippery elm, marshmallow root extract, coconut oil, hibiscus extracts, and shea butter. To moisturize and nourish the hair, this detangler spray is also blended with jojoba seed oil without sulfates. Also, this detangler spray from Shea Moisture has no phthalates, parabens, mineral oil, and propylene glycol. It's also cruelty-free, making it a wise buy for every meticulous parent out there. Aside from detangling, this spray also helps manage frizz while promoting hair growth. It also restores the balance of the hair for a shiny and soft finish. Overall, this is safe for both kids and adults, not to mention that it has a nice scent. One thing I like the most is how lightweight this detangler is in terms of consistency. It suits kids and adults with fine hair without weighing their hair down too much. If your little one can make epic hair tangles after a day of playing, make sure that you have a bottle of this at home. Â Pros All-natural ingredients Nice smell Works well for fine hair Cons The one I got has a leaky bottle, but I think it's due to courier issues 4. Daily Dose Leave-in Conditioner & Detangler If you prefer a leave-in conditioner detangler, you should check out this one from Daily Dose. It works as a conditioner, detangler, frizz remover, and flyaway tamer. One thing I like best about this is its lightweight formula that prevents the hair from getting weighed down too much. Aside from that, this formula suits all hair types, as well as kids. Whether your child has wavy, curly, coily, straight, or fine hair, this product is a Holy Grail. It has a non-greasy finish and a fine mist that makes it easy to apply. Most of all, it's free of the bad stuff. It doesn't have petrolatum, phthalates, lead, parabens, synthetic colors, and iron oxide. It's made gentle for kids who keep on getting their hair extremely tangled. Moreover, the Daily Dose detangler conditioner strengthens, moisturizes, softens, and protects the hair. It's also scalp-friendly, so rest assured that your little one won't feel itchy. It's also suitable for color-treated hair if used by adults. You and your child can use this every day without any adverse side effects on the hair. Some users complain about the smell, but I've tried it, and I don't find it repulsive. To each his own, I suppose. Pros Free of the bad stuff Light formula Non-greasy finish Cons You may need to apply a little more for curly hair 5. Totlogic Kids Detangler Spray My last recommendation for this roundup is the Totlogic Kids Detangler Spray. It's the perfect choice for those who are on a budget but looking for a decent detangler for their kids. To start with this, the Totlogic detangler suits all hair types for both girls and boys. Adults can also use this for tangles. It's infused with botanicals and antioxidants to nourish the hair while combatting split ends, and frizz. Your kid's hair will also be easier to comb with this spray product. As a safe detangler spray for kids, this Totlogic product doesn't have petroleum, parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, and other harsh chemicals. This one doesn't have any synthetic fragrances, which suits kids with very sensitive noses. It doesn't have an artificial color either, which makes it safe to use for those with sensitive scalps. Aside from that, you can use this formula on both wet and dry hair. In case you consider this paramount, the Totlogic detangler spray is cruelty-free, and it doesn't have any ingredients sourced from animals. You can now say goodbye to tangles and frizz without the frills! Pros Mild, natural scent Suitable for all hair types Rich with antioxidants to condition the hair Cons A little sticky, but not much of a big deal Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I stop my child's hair from tangling? A: If your child seems to get hair tangles almost every day, you need a leave-in detangler spray. Some products like the Wet Brush Time Release Detangler work for days to prevent tangles on kids' hair. You should also shampoo their hair to the roots. And if possible, keep your child's hair at a manageable length. Q: Why is my daughter's hair knot too easily? A: It's possible that your daughter isn't rinsing shampoo properly. The residue from the shampoo will cause the hair to tangle easily. It will also be difficult to comb through. Don't worry, though, even the most tangled hair will yield to a good detangler spray. Feel free to choose from the five options I reviewed above! Q: Is it advisable to cut tangled hair off my child's head? A: As much as possible, avoid cutting any length when dealing with knots and tangles. Your child may not love it, either, especially if a large portion of their hair is involved. There's a way to fix the problem by using an effective detangling spray. Also, never rip or yank tangled hair. It will only hurt the child and make the knots much worse. Q: Can a detangler spray damage a child's hair? A: No, if you get a kid-friendly option. Most of these products are infused with moisturizing ingredients that actually help keep healthy hair and scalp. A detangler spray will only damage the hair if you over-indulge or if its formula is reeking of phthalates, sulfates, and other harmful chemicals. Q: Should I detangle hair dry or wet? A: If you're dealing with coarse, curl, or dry hair, you must detangle it wet. This will give a more slippery effect that allows you to remove the knots without hurting your scalp. But to be sure, it's best to use a detangler spray for the job. It works for all hair types, even for kids! Final words With the best detangling spray for kids, knots and tangles are no longer a dilemma. Since kids can get their pretty messy and tangled during playtime, you should always have a bottle of this spray product at home. It will also come handy in case your little one played with your hair and left you with a classic hairstyle. Read the full article

TODDLER HAIRCUTS: THE ULTIMATE GUIDEÂ
Wanting your little one to look their best with a stylish haircut? Taking a toddler to the salon can feel like an adventure, but it mustn't be stressful! This guide gives tips and tricks for a smooth and successful haircut experience.
Finding the Perfect Salon
The right salon makes all the difference. Look for one that specializes in kids' cuts or has a particular area for them. These salons often have fun things to keep your little one occupied, like colourful chairs, toys, or even themed chairs shaped like cars or airplanes (like some salons in Victoria, BC!).
Here are some tips for finding the perfect salon:
Ask other parents: Get recommendations from friends or family for salons they trust with their kids.
Search online: Look for reviews and ratings of salons specializing in children's haircuts in your area.
Look for the "fun factor": Consider salons with child-friendly features like toys, themed chairs, or bright colours.
Scheduling the Appointment
Timing is key! Schedule the haircut when your toddler is well-rested and happy. Avoid naptime or mealtimesâa hungry or tired toddler might get fussy during these times.
Getting Ready at Home
Before heading to the salon, wash your toddler's hair with a gentle shampoo and conditioner made for their hair type. This makes it easier for the stylist to cut their hair and will give them a smoother cut.
Talking to the Stylist
Once at the salon, tell the stylist what kind of haircut you have in mind. Pictures are helpful! Let them know of any concerns you have, like avoiding certain products or needing gentle cutting techniques. A good stylist will listen to your ideas and suggest styles that match your toddler's hair type and face shape.
Keeping Your Toddler Entertained
Haircuts can get wiggly! Bring along your little one's favourite toys, books, or even a tablet to keep him or her occupied. Some salons have special chairs or play areas for kids, too.
Dealing with Wiggles
Even with preparation, toddlers can get fussy. Stay calm and patient â your little one can sense your emotions! Offer reassurance and try distractions like toys or songs. Some stylists use cool techniques like spray bottles or singing to make the haircut more fun.
After the Haircut
Show your toddler their new look in the mirror and praise them! The stylist might give you specific instructions for caring for their new haircut, like using certain products or avoiding activities that could mess it up.
Regular Hair Care
Establish a routine to keep your toddler's haircut looking sharp. Use gentle shampoos and conditioners made for kids' hair. Brush their hair gently to avoid tangles, and use a detangler spray if needed. Schedule regular trims to keep their style looking neat.

hey hey little muppets!! happy wednesday!! this is a request fill for gracerailly on ao3 who requested the poly-stics babysitting cadnis' kids.
cw/tw for depression/depressive episodes
otherwise, enjoy!!
---
Cady wakes up to chattering coming through the baby monitor.
Which is unusual, because Janis usually wakes her up with their twins. But today, Janis is still in bed next to her and gives a quiet groan when she hears the noise.
âJay?â Cady asks groggily. âWhatâs the matter?â
Janis groans again and flops onto her back, bringing her hands up to sign. Thatâs never good, Janis only uses sign language when things are especially bad for her.
âCanât move,â she signs. âFeel⌠heavy. Slow. Dead.â
âOh, my love,â Cady hums sadly, leaning down to kiss her forehead. âDo you think youâre having a depressive episode?â
Janis nods slowly. Cady can tell sheâs using a great deal of energy to bring her hands up again. âThe girls.â
âIâll get them up for today, donât worry about it,â Cady says immediately. âYou relax. Everythingâs okay.â
Janis pouts but nods again, letting her hands drop back to her side. Cady pecks her nose gently before she goes to get their daughters up.
Theyâre both awake, standing up in their cribs and waiting for someone to come get them ready. Both of them look her way when Cady switches the light on, with their adorable frizzy curls and sleepy blue eyes.
âGood morning, my little loves!â She says happily, going to give them their morning kisses. âDid you have good dreams?â Both twins nod happily. âGood, that makes Mama so happy.â
âWhere Mommy?â Layla asks, rubbing her eyes and holding onto her stuffed elephant. Cady pauses for a second. How does she explain this in terms they can understand?
For now, a white lie wonât hurt anything. âMommyâs still asleep, Mama gets to get you ready today.â
Leo reaches out first, so Cady grabs her and carries her over to be changed before swapping her out with Layla to do the same.
âThere we go, all clean! Letâs go have breakfast,â Cady says happily, scooping them both up and carrying them downstairs to the kitchen.
âMama?â Layla pipes up. Cady smooches her chubby little cheek a few times.
âYes, Ladybug?â
âWe hab fâuit?â Layla asks. âPâease?â
âYeah, of course you can have fruit,â Cady says. âGood pleases, too, thatâs a good girl. Bumblebee, do you want fruit too?â
Leo just nods. Sheâs less of a morning person than her twin. Cady sets them both in their high chairs and buckles them in for safety, then washes some blueberries for them to eat.
Leo picks at hers, resting her elbows on her tray and holding her head in her little hands.
âWhatâs the matter, Lolo?â Cady asks sadly while she gives the pets their own breakfast and prepares some quick cereal for herself.
âMiss Mommy,â Leo says with a precious little pout. âWant cuddle.â
âAww, sweetheart,â Cady says. âMommyâs still here, sheâs just upstairs. And we can go see if she wants to cuddle after breakfast.â
Leo perks up a little bit at the reminder that her mommy is still there, just not at breakfast, and starts eating her blueberries with a bit more speed. She and Layla chatter away about their plans for the day while they eat. Cady canât quite understand what theyâre saying, but she grins at the interactions regardless.
âAll done,â Layla says when her blueberries are finished. Leo shoves her last few in her mouth and chews them with a nod of agreement.
âGood job, girls! Okay, letâs wash our hands and then we can go see Mommy,â Cady says. She grabs each from her chair and helps them wash the berry juice off their tiny hands, then carries them back up to the main bedroom to find Janis. âJay? You up for a cuddle?â
Janis rolls over and gives a weak grin when she sees her whole family there waiting for her. She nods and gestures them over with a hand, so Cady sets the twins down to run over to her.
âBe gentle, girls,â she says quietly, following after them. She scoops Leo up and helps her get on the bed since she was struggling to make it. Layla sits and cuddles in on top of Janis while Leo nuzzles into her side. They both can clearly tell somethingâs off.
âMommy sick?â Layla asks. âNeed medâcine?â
Janis chuckles weakly and brushes a hand through Laylaâs messy hair. Cady can tell itâs taking nearly all of her energy just to cuddle their babies, but Janis forces herself to keep going.
âKind of, but medicine wonât fix it this time,â Janis says quietly. âI just need cuddles and sleep.â
âWhaâs wrong?â Leo asks, unfortunately curious. How do you explain depression to some barely two year olds? Cady thinks for a second before she tries to explain.
âYou girls know how Aunt Reggie is a doctor? And she talks to people who are sad or scared or mad a lot, to help them feel better?â Cady begins. Both twins look her way and nod. âSome of the people Aunt Reggie talks to have something called depression. Thatâs a tough word, can you say it?â
Both girls try, sounding closer to âpress inâ than anything else.
âYeah, good job! But Mommy has depression too. Sometimes it makes her sad, or sometimes angry, or scared. Today itâs just making her really tired. But sheâll feel better soon, and then she can play with you again.â
âI can fissit?â Layla asks, wanting her mommy to be better now.
âYou canât fix it this time, Ladybug,â Cady says sadly. âBut we can help Mommy feel better by giving her cuddles and letting her rest. We love her bunches, huh?â
Both girls nod and cuddle in again, trying to squeeze every ounce of love for their mommy into the snuggles. Layla even leans in to leave a wet, but sweet kiss on her forehead. âMmmmwah!â
âThank you, girls,â Janis says with a weak chuckle. âWhat did you have for breakfast?â
Cady knows that the twins are going to talk for a while, which buys her some time to track down a babysitter. She pulls out her phone and is about to shoot off a text to Damian before she remembers that heâs out of town visiting family. Aaron went with him, so that just leaves the Plastics. Oh boy. Itâs worth a shot.
spacecadet: Hey is there any way you guys could take the smalls for the day?? Janis is having a depressive episode and I need to be able to take care of her
georgewashington: Are you sure you want us to? What about Damian?
spacecadet: Heâs out of town for the week. I wouldnât ask if I wasnât desperate, I know youâre still sorta wary of them
georgewashington: I just donât want to hurt them, or make you guys upset. Janis would never forgive me if something happened to them because of me.
spacecadet: Regina, you donât have to worry about stuff like that. Unless it was something major we could never be mad. And Janis does trust you, sheâs just protective
georgewashington: If youâre sure, we can take them. Gretchenâs working from home today, so weâll all be here. What should I do?
spacecadet: Oh, thank you so much!! All theyâll really need from you guys is somewhere to nap and someone to play with. Iâll pack them some toys and things theyâll need and I can drop them off
spacecadet: Just maybe hide anything stainable, breakable, or expensive :/ they are toddlers
georgewashington: Okay, Iâll prep what I can. See you soon.
spacecadet: Thank you so much, Regina!!
Cady switches her phone back off and rolls out of the bed. Once sheâs changed out of her pajamas, she goes to get her babies. âOkay girls, should we go get dressed?â
Layla crawls over when she reaches out, but Leo doesnât want to leave Janis.
âWhaâbout Mommy?â She asks sadly.
âWe can come see Mommy again for a little bit when youâre done, Mama will go fast,â Cady coaxes. Leo thinks for a second before she also comes to be picked up. âYeah, there we go.â
Cady carries both babies back down the hall to their bedroom and sticks both in Leoâs crib to keep them contained.
âDo you want to match or dress different today, pumpkins?â She asks, rooting through their dresser for some outfits.
âMash,â both twins say at the same time. Cady chuckles and pulls out two of everything she needs. Two green shirts, two pairs of soft black jeans, two pairs of socks. Layla reaches for her first this time, so she heads to scoop her out and rests her on the ground in front of her.
Layla giggles when Cady pops her shirt over her head and surprises her with a kiss on the other side. Cady smiles back until they reach the socks, which are always a struggle. Luckily for her, Layla cooperates and is quickly dressed and subbed out for Leo.
Cady repeats the process on her second daughter before she heads to their closet to grab the finishing touches. Two tiny pairs of white high top converse that match her own, and two of the jean jackets Janis painted to match her old ones. These have teddy bears on the back, which are absolutely adorable.
âMommy painted these for you while you two were still in my tummy,â Cady says, resting them on the rail of Leoâs crib.
âIn you tummy?â Leo asks interestedly. Cady nods and carries them both to see the pictures on their bulletin board. Thatâs a more recent addition to the room, and full of pictures of all the people important to the twins.
Cady points to one of her maternity photos, specifically at her belly. âYou two were in here. Thatâs where you grew for a while.â
They both look curiously at the photo, then down at their own tummies. âHow we come out?â
âUm⌠we can talk about that another day, letâs go do your hair,â Cady says quickly. Before the twins can say anything else she carries them into the bathroom and pops them down on the counter. She gives them each a comb to play with and then sprays them down with some detangling hairspray, brushing their dark curls out to a more manageable state.
She splits Leoâs down the middle and ties hers in space buns on top of her head, then gives Layla one ponytail so the Plastics can tell them apart more easily.
âI have a surprise for you, girls,â Cady says as she roots through the basket for some hair bows, per Leoâs request. They both perk up at the mention of a surprise and look to her interestedly. âYou guys get to go to Aunt Reggieâs house today, isnât that cool?â
âAunt Weggie house?â Layla asks curiously. Theyâve never been to Aunt Reggieâs house, Uncle D is their usual babysitter.
âYeah! You get to go play with her and Aunt GG and Auntie Karen and Nutmeg,â Cady says, clipping the green bows to their hair ties.
âWow,â Leo says excitedly. Cady laughs and picks them up again to carry them back to Janis.
âMommy,â Layla calls happily, running back to Janisâ side of the bed. Janis helps her back up for another round of cuddles. âWe go Aunt Weggie house!â
Leo wriggles her way up again as well, and Janis grabs her for snuggles too. Once she has her babies safely back in her hold, she raises a suspicious eyebrow at her wife.
âJust for the day, theyâll be fine,â Cady groans. âDamianâs still out of town and I want to be able to give you my full attention.â
Janis shrugs and brings her daughters up for some kisses, making them both giggle in delight. Cady takes the time to go pack some supplies for the girls while Janis has them occupied.
She packs enough diapers to last them each a week, some extra clothes in case of disaster, a few of their favorite small toys and activities, their pacifiers, and their stuffies. They already have sippy cups and other dishes there, since Damian insisted on buying everyone some just in case there was ever an emergency and they had to babysit. Turns out it was a great idea.
When Cady brings the jackets, backpacks, and shoes back into the bedroom to finish getting her daughters ready, she finds Leo carefully stroking her little hands through Janisâ hair, while Layla sits on Janisâ belly and is thoroughly explaining all the things she wants to do at her auntsâ house.
She chuckles at the precious sight before she enters the room and snatches Layla up for tickles and kisses. Layla shrieks in surprise, but quickly starts laughing and trying to push her away. Cady carefully rests her down and gets her tiny shoes on, and Janis grins when she sees the cute jacket Cady tugs onto Laylaâs arms.
Leo goes next, giggling anxiously and curling into Janis for protection as Cady looms ominously overhead. She squeals when sheâs snatched up by the mama claw and brought in for her round of kisses and tickles. Once her shoes and jacket are on, itâs time for them to go.
âOkay girls, give Mommy hugs, we gotta go,â she says quietly. Janis grunts slightly as both twins jump on top of her for one last cuddle before they head off.
âBye girls,â Janis whispers. âI love you.â
âLuh you, Mommy!â Both twins call at the same time. Janis chuckles and kisses them one last time before Cady scoops them up and rests them on the ground.
âGet some rest, love,â Cady murmurs, bending down to kiss her wife. âIâll be back soon, text me if you need anything.â
Janis nods and curls back into bed. Cady flips the light off on their way out and follows the twins to the car.
âââââ-
âWhoa,â both twins say when they see the apartment building. Cady realizes she probably should have explained that their aunties donât live in the whole thing.
âBig house,â Leo says slightly anxiously. Cady chuckles and picks them both up to carry them in.
âYour aunties live here with other people,â Cady explains. âThereâs a bunch of little houses in the building that other families live in.â
Cady carries them past the main desk and to the elevators. Leo gets to push the button to call it, and then Layla pushes the button to get up to the right floor.
âCan you knock?â Cady asks, since both her hands are full. Both of them helpfully rap their little fists against the door. âGood job. Thereâs Auntie Karen!â
âHey!â Karen says happily. âCome in!â
Cady enters and sets the twins down. Layla toddles off immediately, making a beeline for Nutmeg.
âDog, dog, dog,â she says happily on her way. âDoggy! I pet, pâease?â
âYes, you can pet her,â Karen chuckles. âHi Leo.â
âHi,â Leo replies quietly, pressing against Cadyâs leg with a heartbreaking pout. Leoâs always been her anxious one, and is clearly frightened at the prospect of facing a new environment all alone.
Cady crouches down to comfort her, stroking some stray hairs away from her babyâs face. âYouâre gonna be okay, Bee. Aunt Reggie and Aunt GG and Aunt Karen are gonna play with you, Mama put all your toys in your backpack. And you have Georgie in there too, heâll give you cuddles if you get scared. And then you get to take your nap, and probably have lunch.â
âWhaâ lunch?â Leo asks.
âI donât know, weâll have to see what they have for you, but I bet itâll be so yummy,â Cady says. âBut youâre gonna be safe, little love. Your aunties will protect you, and they can call or text me on my phone if you need me. And Iâll be back to get you in a while, okay?â
âOkay Mama,â Leo says.
âThatâs my brave girl,â Cady says happily, pecking her forehead and standing up. âOh, thereâs Aunt GG!â
Leo runs over immediately for a hug. She and Gretchen have a special bond, which Cady is always happy to see. Regina pops out of the kitchen too, upon hearing the commotion that the twins bring everywhere they go.
âAww,â she coos when she sees Leo cuddled up with her girlfriend. She comes over to Cady to urgently ask, âWhich one is that?â
âLeo,â Cady chuckles. âShe has space buns, Layla has a ponytail.â
âGot it,â Regina says. She looks down when she feels something tug on her pant leg. âOh, hi Layla.â
âHi!â Layla says excitedly. Regina just looks at her for a second, not totally sure what to do. Layla reaches to be picked up, so Regina bends down and scoops her off the floor.
âI should get back to Janis soon,â Cady says. âIâll have my phone, you can text or call if anything comes up.â
âSounds good,â Gretchen says, still holding Leo. She sets her down for a second and says, âGo say bye to your mama.â
Regina sets Layla down too, and both twins run to give Cady a goodbye hug and kiss.
âMwah. I love you, girls. Be good, Iâll be back to get you later,â Cady says, kissing both of their foreheads and holding them close before releasing them back. âHave fun!â
â-
Regina notices Leo hunch in on herself a little bit and look around anxiously when Cady leaves. Layla is fine and very occupied trying to play with a lazy Nutmeg. Regina still doesnât quite know how to handle the twins, but Leo is clearly frightened. She knows how to deal with that.
She heads over and crouches down in front of her, but leaves some distance so Leo doesnât feel crowded. âHi, honey. Can you show me what you have in your backpack?â
Leo nods and sits down across from her, removing her little backpack and resting it on the ground in front of her. âHelp pâease?â
âOkay,â Regina says, undoing the zipper for her. âWhat do you have there?â Leo reaches in and carefully pulls out her stuffed giraffe. âWhoâs that?â
âGeorgie,â Leo says quietly. âHe giâaffe.â
âThatâs so cool,â Regina says. âShould we show Georgie around so he knows where everything is?â
Leo nods, so Regina stands and picks up the baby to give her a little tour. Leo holds tightly to her stuffed friend and looks around curiously.
âThis is the kitchen,â Regina says. She lets Leo look around at all the things on the walls, giving her time to adjust. When Leo looks back to her, they move on. âAnd this is the living room.â Leoâs seen this, itâs where the entryway leads to and where Layla is currently playing with Karen and Gretchen. She looks around for a short while before sheâs ready to move on. âAnd this is the office, this is where we do our work, and over there is the bathroom.â
âWhere sleep?â Leo asks, so Regina shows her the two bedrooms.
âThis is where Aunt GG and Aunt Karen and I sleep, and then this is the bedroom for when we have people come sleep over,â Regina says. Leo looks around curiously before giving a nod. âWhat do you think?â
âBig,â Leo says. Regina chuckles and nods.
âIt is pretty big. Oh, do you want to see something fun?â
Leo nods interestedly, so Regina carries her to see the axolotls in the tank in their bedroom.
âFishy!â Leo says excitedly, pointing to the tank. âOoh.â
âTheyâre called axolotls,â Regina explains. Leo tries to say it, but it just sounds more like âbleleleâ. âYeah, close enough!â
âName?â Leo asks, looking curiously at the strange creatures. Regina holds her at a different angle so she can see better and points to each one.
âThis one is named Versace, and this is Gucci,â she says. âAnd then waaaaay back here is Louboutin The Second.â
Leo giggles. âSilly name.â
âThey are, just a little,â Regina agrees. âOkay, letâs go find your sister, hm?â Leo nods, so they head back to the living room. Layla has finally been satisfied with the amount of doggy cuddles sheâs been given and left the poor creature alone. Sheâs now busy explaining her toys to Gretchen and Karen.
Gretchen looks up when they come back, and smiles when she sees Leo cuddled into Reginaâs shoulder. âDo you wanna come play?â
Leo nods, so Regina sets her down and lets her run over to her twin and their toys. Regina jumps a little when she feels an arm slide gently around her waist to rub that one spot on her lower back, and a sweet peck pressed to her neck.
âYouâre really good with her,â Gretchen whispers. âItâs cute.â
Regina shakes her head and pulls her closer. âIâm not. I just know how to calm people down. I donât even know how to play with them.â
âJust try,â Gretchen says quietly, kissing her cheek gently and heading back over. Regina watches as Karen and Gretchen play legos with the twins, building masterpieces and then taking them apart to make new ones. Gretchen makes it sound so simple, just try. But Regina wouldnât even know where to begin.
So she just watches. Leo sits on Karenâs lap and builds her creations, and Layla stands in between the couch and the coffee table in order to make hers. Regina takes a sneaky picture of Leo explaining her tower to Karen.
âAww,â she coos quietly when she sees how it came out.
âSend that to Janis, sheâd like that,â Gretchen chuckles.
Layla looks over at her curiously. âAunt GG?â
âYeah?â
âWho⌠um⌠Janis?â Layla asks, lisping the end but managing to get the sound out.
âJanis is your mommy, thatâs her name,â Gretchen explains.
âNo,â Leo says with a head shake, joining their discussion.
âNo?â
âMommy name⌠uhm⌠love,â Leo explains. The Plastics all fight to contain a coo, looking at each other.
âMommyâs name is love?â Karen asks. Both twins nod. âAnd whatâs your mamaâs name?â
Janis tends to switch between nicknames for Cady more often, so theyâre curious to see what her ânameâ is.
âBaby,â Layla says.
âNo,â Leo disagrees. âMama Bullafây.â
âI donât know.â Layla says eventually.
âThatâs okay,â Regina chuckles. âYouâll learn it soon.â
âââââ
âHey, Jay, how you feeling?â Cady asks gently as she heads back into her bedroom. Janis groans quietly when she flips the light on. âYou know it gets worse if you just sit here in the dark all day. You need light. Youâre like a plant.â
Janis pouts at her. Cady kicks off her shoes and crawls back in next to her for a snuggle.
âThe girls are fine, the Plastics seemed really excited,â she says quietly. âItâs kind of nice, isnât it? Just us for a day.â
Janis nods. They both love their daughters more than the world, but it is nice to have a break from time to time. Even if the circumstances surrounding it are less than ideal.
Cadyâs phone dings in her pocket, so she fishes it out to see whoâs messaging her.
âSpeak of the devil. Aww,â she chuckles, holding it so Janis can see.
reginald: Sent a picture: Play time
reginald: Also, just thought weâd let you know, they donât know your names.
spacecadet: Really?
reginald: They canât decide if yours is baby or butterfly, and they think Janisâ name is love.
spacecadet: Oh my goodness
reginald: Itâs actually really cute. Gretch said to send that picture to Janis and Layla didnât know who that was.
spacecadet: At least they donât think our names are mama and mommy anymore. Are you guys still good?
reginald: Yeah, everythingâs good. Leo just needed a little tour and now sheâs all settled in. And Layla and Nutmeg are best buds.
spacecadet: Haha, poor pooch. Sheâs always after Daffy and Ellie too
reginald: Oh, Nutmeg loves it. She just gets to lay there and be cuddled, itâs her dream come true.
spacecadet: Well you guys can have the twins anytime so she can get her snuggle seshes in
reginald: Sounds like a plan, Iâll let Nutmeg know. Weâll probably keep sending you stuff, too.
spacecadet: Please do, you guys are so good with them. Thanks again <3
reginald: Of course.
Janis chuckles as she reads over their conversation too. Cady cuddles her closer and pecks her forehead.
âDid you eat?â She asks. Janis shakes her head. âOkay. Iâm gonna go get you something, Iâll be right back.â
Janis pouts again, so Cady leans down to kiss her a few times before she leaves. Janis grins contently and settles deeper in under the covers.
ââââââ
Karen continues playing with the twins for a few hours, and Regina stays to watch. Gretchen has some new designs to work on and heads into the office for some quiet.
Reginaâs making progress with the twins, eventually even coloring a picture with them once they pull out some crayons and paper. They both eagerly compliment her drawing of a rabbit.
Itâs almost relaxing, in a strange way. Karen makes conversation with everyone as she draws a duck, and the twins seem to be warming up even more to the environment.
Relaxing until Layla suddenly snatches the same crayon Leo wanted to add another beautiful scribble to her page. Leo whines a, âHey!â and scrambles to take it back. Layla shrieks and holds it out of her reach, and suddenly theyâre both in tears.
Karen and Regina look to each other in concern at the two little tantrum tornados they now have to deal with, and each gently pick up a twin so they canât reach each other. Karen looks very anxious as Leo thrashes in her hold and releases a shriek that so loud they canât quite figure out how such a small person managed it. Apparently quiet little Leo is actually the screamer of the two.
Layla seems to be more physical, wriggling to be put down so she can get back at her sister. Regina refuses to let her down, knowing itâll only get worse if she does. Time for some desperate measures.
She manages to carry a wiggling and screaming toddler into the kitchen in one arm, doing a strange sort of firemanâs carry. It works well enough. She grabs two of the sippy cups they have and fills them with some cold water.
Karen is now holding Leo as far away as she possibly can, trying desperately to keep her grip as Leo kicks and shrieks like a banshee in her hold.
âGood lord,â Regina murmurs under her breath. âHey!â
Her tone isnât mean, or harsh, just loud. Both twins briefly stop their antics to look at her, knowing they might be in some serious trouble here.
She hands Karen one of the cups to give to Leo. âI need both of you to take some big drinks for me, okay? Youâre gonna run out of tears to cry, we have to give you more.â
They both take their cups with a very serious look in their eye and drink a good bit of their water. They donât want to run out of tears, that would be bad.
âGood job,â Regina congratulates when they pull away with a gasp. Itâs a trick she was taught in college, that actually regulates their breathing and helps calm people down in intense moments. âNow youâre gonna take a nap. And we can have a talk when you wake up.â
For safety, they decide to keep them apart. Layla gets set up for her nap in the master bedroom, and Leo in the guest room. They make little barriers with pillows so they donât fall out of bed and give them the best blankets, then leave them with their stuffed animals, pacifiers, and cups of water to rest.
âFucking hell,â Regina breathes when she shuts the door to where Leo is resting. âWhere do they get the energy for that?â
âRevenge is a big deal for toddlers,â Karen shrugs. âThey donât like when things arenât fair.â
âChrist,â Regina sighs, sitting down and rubbing her temples. Karen sits down as well. âTheyâre so sweet, usually, what-what happened?â
âI know what youâre thinking, and no itâs not,â Karen responds. Regina looks at her in shock, wondering how she couldâve possibly known. âItâs not your fault, and youâre not a bad aunt. Do you know how impressive what you just did is? You got two toddlers to stop having a tantrum. Thatâs, like, really special.â
âBut they only started getting upset when I started playing with them. All I can do is⌠stop them crying or whatever,â Regina grumbles. âI donât know how to interact with them, or-or play with them.â
âThey were upset because they were overtired,â Karen hushes, letting Regina lean onto her shoulder. âWe just shouldâve had them nap sooner, thatâs all. But youâre really special, you know.â
âHmm?â
âYou treat them like people,â Karen says quietly. âThatâs, like, super rare. You showed Leo around when she got here instead of just making her go play, and you helped them calm down instead of yelling at them for being too loud or whatever. Thatâs whatâll help them the most.â
Regina gives a noncommittal hum and accepts the comfort offered by her girlfriend.
âAnd even if you donât really play with them that much, they still like you,â Karen continues. âYou still talk to them, and give them cool stuff. Playing isnât the only way to interact with them.â
âI guess,â Regina agrees. âYouâre good with them too.â
âTheyâre easy!â Karen says happily. âBut Iâm still a kid at heart, I guess. Theyâre easy for me to relate to, or whatever.â
Regina chuckles. âI can see that. Youâve always been the fun one.â
âThanks,â Karen laughs back. âYou okay now?â
âYeah. Thank you, honey,â Regina says quietly, leaning in for a quick kiss. âI love you.â
Karen beams, itâs quite rare that Regina says âI love youâ first. âI love you too.â
ââââââ
Leo wakes up from her nap first. Gretchen had been hiding in the study throughout the crayon debacle, leaving it to her girlfriends to handle. But the office is closer to the bedrooms, so she decides to be the one to go comfort Leo as she hears her start to cry.
âHey, Leo lady, good morning,â she says gently. Leo scrambles down off the big bed sheâs on and runs in for some comfort. âWhat happened?â
âDark,â Leo whimpers, sniffling into Gretchenâs shoulder. ââN big. Scared.â
âAww, Iâm sorry, sweetheart,â Gretchen hushes. âYou donât need to be scared, nothing here can hurt you. See?â
Leo nods in relief when she flips the light back on. âTâank you.â
âOf course, honey. I think Karen is making lunch, are you hungry?â Gretchen asks, shutting the light back off and carrying her back into the kitchen. Leo nods and rubs her eyes blearily. Sheâs not quite awake yet.
âHey, Leo,â Regina says quietly. âGood morning.â
âHi,â Leo yawns. Regina chuckles gently.
âDo you feel better?â
Leo nods again. âWhaâ lunch?â
âI donât know, we have a lot of things here,â Regina answers. âWhat would you like?â
Leo shrugs, so Gretchen carries her in to see her lunch options. Karen looks up from her sandwich when she hears them come in. âHey, kiddo! Did you have a good nap?â
Leo nods with a little smile. âAuntie Kawen lunch?â
âYeah! Iâm having a sandwich, do you want one?â Karen asks. Leo nods. âOkay, what kind?â
Leo wiggles a little bit, so Gretchen sets her down to go look at the options. She and Karen both chuckle as Leo picks a large jar of peanut butter out of the cabinet and hands it to Karen.
âDis pâease,â she says. Karen takes it from her and unscrews the lid.
âOkay, do you want jelly in it too?â
âNo tâank you.â
âOkay, good job! Iâll bring it to you in a second,â Karen says. Leo runs back to Gretchen to spend some time together while they wait on lunch.
When they head back to the living room, Regina is gone. Leo looks around in confusion until she comes back with her twin. Regina beckons her over, so Leo lets go of Gretchenâs hand and heads over to her other aunt.
Regina sets Layla down next to her. âDo you two feel better now?â They both nod. âGood. Being angry like that is no fun, huh?â They both shake their heads. âSay sorry for fighting, then we can go play again.â
âSorry Leo,â Layla says sheepishly.
âSorry Lala,â Leo replies, wrapping her twin in a hug. Layla hugs her back for a second, popping up on her tippy toes to squeeze her sister.
âSorry Aunt Weggie,â Layla adds. âFer scâeaming.â Leo nods to agree.
âThank you for your apology, girls. Layla, letâs go pick your lunch and then you can play some more,â Regina says, picking them both back up and carrying them to the kitchen.
âThere they are,â Gretchen says when they return. âLeo, your sandwich is ready, do you want something to drink with it?â
Leo nods and heads over to see what they have in the fridge, while Layla goes to Karen to pick her meal. She also just picks a sandwich and is quickly released to go pick her own beverage. Leo chooses apple juice, and Layla picks milk.
-
Surprisingly, each twin finishes about half of her sandwich. Karen helps them down off their chairs and releases them back to the living room for more playing. Leo dives right in and pulls out a small puzzle she brought, pulling out all the animals and trying to work out where they go again. Layla does her own for a while, but gets bored pretty quickly.
So she decides to go on a short adventure. Her Aunt GG disappeared into a room a while ago, so Layla heads off to find her.
-
Gretchen turns when she hears noises at the glass door to the office, spinning around in her chair to find Layla on her tippy toes trying to reach the doorknob. It takes a few tries, but she manages to open it and toddles into the room victoriously.
âHi GG!â She chirps happily. Gretchen laughs and beckons her over.
âHi Layla. What are you up to?â She chuckles, pulling her into her lap and re-doing Laylaâs ponytail since it got messed up during her nap. Layla seems delighted to be sitting at the big desk where her aunties do their work.
âLolo do puzzle,â Layla explains. âDonât wanâ to.â
âAww. Thatâs okay, do you wanna help me with a few things?â Gretchen replies. Layla nods eagerly, so Gretchen wheels them closer to the desk and pulls over a design sheâs working on for a client.
âOoh,â Layla says. âPâetty.â
âThank you,â Gretchen chuckles. âI have to draw it first, and then I make it a real dress people can wear later.â Layla looks at her in awe. âI know, right? Here, help me with this. What color should I make these flowers here?â
Layla suddenly feels a massive amount of responsibility weigh on her two year old shoulders. This is very important. âUhm⌠uh⌠lellow.â
âYellow?â Gretchen asks. âThat would be really pretty, actually, good job! Yellow would look nice with the blue here. Good pick!â
Layla gives a happy little wiggle on her lap, and watches eagerly as Gretchen sketches the flowers in with a yellow pencil.
âAunt GG?â Layla pipes up as Gretchen moves onto another area.
âYeah?â
âMe too?â Layla says. âPâease?â
Gretchen chuckles. âYou want a dress?â Layla nods. âOkay, we can try that. Here.â
She sketches out another model, with about the same proportions as Layla.
âHere, stand up, thatâll make this easier. How long should we make the skirt?â Gretchen asks, popping Layla onto her feet and crouching down in front of her. She points to her ankle, just below her knee, and just above her knee. âWhich one?â
Layla looks at her legs for a long moment before she points above her knee. Gretchen smiles and nods.
âThatâs what I would have picked too. And should it go out big or be closer to your body?â Gretchen asks, demonstrating where each type would fall. Layla picks a big poofy skirt. âOh, yeah. You got some good style, chica. Now the sleeves, where should they go?â
Layla watches as Gretchen points to her wrist, just above her elbow, and her shoulder. She points to her shoulder when Gretchen takes her hand away and giggles as Gretchen tickles her.
âOkay, come see,â Gretchen says, picking her back up and resting her on her lap again. Layla smiles happily when she sees the form of the dress. âNow we get to pick what colors and patterns it has. Whatâs your favorite color?â
âUhm⌠gâeen,â Layla replies, pointing to her t-shirt. Gretchen grabs two different greens that would look good with a dress this shape, one closer to an emerald and the other a lighter fern sort of shade.
âWhich green?â She asks, holding them in front of Layla. Layla picks the lighter one. âOoh, yeah.â Gretchen carefully makes the skirt green, a plan for fabrics already starting to come together in her mind. âNow what should we do with the top bit?â
âUhâŚâ Layla says. âSparkledy.â
âSparkly? I didnât even think of that,â Gretchen hums. She pencils it in the same color and adds marks to make sure she knows the bodice should be sequined. âYou could be a designer too, Lala, look at this cool dress we drew!â
Layla giggles and looks proudly at the drawing. âNow make it?â
âI canât make it right now, but yeah, soon! All my stuff to make it is at my work,â Gretchen explains. âHere, letâs take a picture to show your moms, theyâre gonna be so proud of you.â
Layla smiles when Gretchen holds her phone up for a selfie, and laughs as her auntie kisses her cheek with an exaggerated smooch sound. âCheeeese.â
ââââ-
Cady reaches an arm out of the bath sheâs dragged her wife into taking when her phone pings with a text. She carefully unlocks it to find a few messages from Gretchen.
fetchen: Sent a picture: i have a new assistant!
spacecadet: Aww! She looks so happy <3
fetchen: Sent a picture: no, seriously, she designed this dress basically herself
fetchen: are you open to having the girls as models at some point?? iâm kind of thinking i should start a childrenâs line
âNo,â Janis pipes up quietly, having read through the conversation as well.
âNot even for Gretchen? Itâs not like itâs a huge company. And how cute would they be in outfits like that?â Cady pleads. Sheâs wary of the idea as well, but knows Gretchen would handle everything safely.
Janis considers this aspect, and has to admit her daughters would make excellent models. Maybe she can make an exception for Gretchen. âFine.â
spacecadet: You should, weâll buy all your designs
spacecadet: And if theyâre into the idea I donât see why they couldnât model for you. Layla loves a camera
fetchen: haha iâll have to get Gina to take some pics of her then! sheâs been looking for a way to connect with them anyway
spacecadet: Aww, how sweet. They love all of you
fetchen: thatâs what I keep trying to tell her! anyway, I should probably get back to work with Lala. tell Janis I say hi!!
spacecadet: Of course!! Thank you <3
Janis nuzzles into her neck as she flicks the phone back off and sighs, in a mix of exhaustion and contentment.
âLayla must take after you,â Cady murmurs. âLittle artist.â
Janis grins gently against her. âWeâll see.â
âââââ
âThere you are,â Regina says as she enters the office to find Layla with Gretchen. âWhat are you two up to?â
âGG make dâesses!â Layla says happily. âI helpinâ.â
âOh, youâre the best helper,â Regina responds. Layla beams at her. âWhat did you do?â
Gretchen smiles too as Regina tips her head up and kisses her forehead, then starts gently looking through the designs. Gretchen pulls out the one she designed with Laylaâs help and shows it to her.
âShe did this pretty much herself,â she says. âAnd now I kind of want to start a childrenâs line.â
âYou should,â Regina says. âYou could make little matching ones of the adult designs you do. Have, like, a mommy and me line. Iâd buy that and we donât even have kids.â
âThatâs a good idea,â Gretchen hums. âIâll think about it more later. Weâve done enough work for today, letâs go play!â
Regina chuckles as Layla runs out of the room when Gretchen sets her down, her little ponytail bouncing behind her.
âYou two are cute together,â she murmurs. âYouâd make a good mom.â
âSo would you,â Gretchen says, wrapping her arms around her waist. Regina shakes her head and tries to move away, but Gretchen refuses to let her go. âNo, look at me.â She gently cups Reginaâs chin and makes her look into her eyes. âIf you wanted to, you would make a wonderful mother. Youâre not your dad. Youâve made so much progress, sweetheart.â
Regina flushes at the pet name and buries her face in the crook of Gretchenâs neck. âWeâll talk about it?â
âYeah,â Gretchen agrees quietly. âAlways. Whenever you want, weâll talk about it. You know you can always talk to us?â
Regina nods. âYou know too?â
âYeah,â Gretchen murmurs. âI love you.â
âI love you too,â Regina whispers, unfortunately having to pull away from one of her favorite places, since her spine is beginning to ache at being hunched over to cuddle her smaller girlfriend. âWe should probably go save Karen.â
Gretchen laughs and takes her hand, leading her back out to the living room.
â-
A short while later, Regina half-watches Karen giving the twins âairplane ridesâ around the apartment, weaving around the furniture and in and and out of rooms. Sheâs also half-watching her Tiktok feed for the day. Hmm.
She brings up her text thread with Cady to ask a very important question.
-
Cady peeks at her phone when it chimes, picking it up from the bathroom counter to see the message. She laughs when she sees what it is, and heads back to the living room where Janis is lethargically sprawled on the couch.
âRegina wants to know if she can put the babies on Tiktok,â she giggles.
âAbsolutely not,â Janis grumbles.
âOh come on, grumpy pants,â Cady coaxes, turning their show back on and dimming the lights a bit. âSome of them are cute, and Gretchen says sheâs having a hard time connecting with them. She said sheâd send them to me for us to check before she posts them. Please?â
Janis does kind of want to see how her daughters react to a few of the trends sheâs seen, and knows sheâs wary of the idea simply because she still has a hard time trusting Regina. So, begrudgingly, âMaybe.â
Cady grins and kisses her hair, and they wait for the videos to come in.
They only have to wait a few minutes before the first one comes through. Cady pauses their show again and waits for Janis to turn onto her back on top of her, then brings up the video so they can both see.
Layla and Leo sit side by side on a very nice couch, their little socked feet not even making it to the end of the cushion. Regina hands each one a little gift bag, and they both tear in to see what present theyâve gotten. Layla gasps excitedly when she pulls out a banana.
âA ânana!â She says happily. Leo pulls out one of her own and looks at it in confusion. âLeo, we got ânanas! Aunt Weggie, open pâease?â
Leoâs eyes go wide and and she gives an excited gasp when she realizes she actually has one of her favorite fruits in her hand, and asks for hers to be opened in sign language. Regina laughs and peels both bananas. Each girl takes theirs back and munches happily on it while the video closes. Just before it cuts, they both say a muffled, âTâank you!â around their bites.
Cady and Janis both laugh, and Cady sends back a message to explain that they usually give them their bananas pre-peeled, so thatâs why Leo didnât recognize it.
The next video comes through a few minutes later. Leo and Layla have finished their bananas and are still on the couch. Regina enters the room filming, rests her phone on the coffee table, and leaves the room.
It takes a second for them to notice, but Layla clocks the phone first. She rolls onto her tummy and slides off the couch before going to pick it up. She sees herself on the screen and pauses for a second to smile at her reflection before she goes running to find her auntie in the kitchen. The background moves wildly as Layla pokes her little tongue out in her concentration, and the rhythmic little thumps of her footsteps can be heard.
âAunt Weggie!â She calls happily when she finds her. âYou left you phone!â
âI left my phone?â Regina says in fake shock. Layla toddles over and gives it back. âOh, thank you! Youâre very responsible.â
The camera flips around to show Layla wrapped around Reginaâs legs, giving a wide smile up at her just before it cuts.
âAww,â Cady coos. âWeâve trained them well.â
âSheâs so cute,â Janis chuckles, tapping the video to play it again.
The next one features Leo, sitting on Reginaâs lap in the kitchen. Regina explains that Leo had asked for a drink and theyâre going to see how well she can pour it herself. A small glass is put in front of the toddler, and sheâs offered a bottle of almond milk.
Leo takes the bottle carefully and tips it over the glass, slowly pouring some into the cup. She has the right motions, but quickly gets carried away and fills the cup too much. It spills over onto the counter, and Regina quickly grabs the bottle to stop it. Both Leo and Regina pull the same face, wide eyes and lips pressed into a thin line as they look into the camera.
âOh no,â Leo says. âNeeda towel, pâease.â
Someone else, most probably Gretchen, hands over some paper towels, and Leo carefully swipes it over the counter to clean up her mess.
âThere we go,â she says, sounding more like âdairy doeâ.
âGood job!â Regina congratulates as Leo ever so carefully picks up her very full cup of milk and takes a sip. Regina helps her get down off her lap, and a âTâank you!â can be faintly heard. âYouâre welcome!â
âOh goodness,â Cady laughs. âAt least she cleaned up after herself. Poor Regina.â
âAnd sheâs polite,â Janis chuckles quietly. âHer sweet little voice.â
âWeâre doing a good job,â Cady says quietly. âWith them.â
Janis nods in agreement and scrolls back up to the video with the bananas.
-
It takes a long while for the next video to come through, and Regina explains that theyâd taken a break to eat dinner (alfredo pasta) and then to clean said dinner off the twins. Layla had apparently taken a special liking to the meal and managed to get it in her hair, so that took some extra time.
But a video of two clean babies comes through. Regina is sitting on the ground wrapped in a fitted sheet so just her face is visible. Karen seems to be filming this time, and encourages the girls to go get their auntie. Leo seems a little concerned, but they both run over to Regina.
When they just make it, Regina suddenly opens the sheet and snatches both inside like a venus flytrap. They both scream in surprise, but their adorable giggles are quickly heard. The video cuts, and they both run into the trap again, and again, and again.
Another one comes through, and this time Gretchen is the one in the sheet. The twins donât stop laughing the whole time, their giggles making a precious audio for the video. Just before it cuts, Gretchen is looking exhausted, but Leo calls a delighted ââGain!â
So, another one comes through with Karen in the sheet. The twinsâ hair is frizzy and their cheeks are pink by this point. Cady is just glad theyâre getting some energy out before bedtime.
Janis laughs gently at each video, wondering how she hasnât thought of this. Apparently her daughters are easily entertained. âI miss them.â
âI miss them too,â Cady sighs. âIâll need to go get them soon, though, itâs getting late.â An alert suddenly comes through her phone then, letting them know a thunderstorm is approaching. âUh oh.â
âMaybe not,â Janis chuckles. âYou shouldnât drive in that.â
âBut they freak out during storms,â Cady says anxiously. âEspecially Leo. But I canât get there before it hits.â
âSheâll be fine,â Janis comforts. âRegina can handle that.â
âI hope so.â
âââââ
Regina grins happily as she reads the comments for the videos sheâs posted so far, everyone delighting in her precious nieces. Sheâs reading one that seems nearly distraught at how polite they are when a text comes through from Cady.
spacecadet: Hey, I just saw that a storm is coming. Jay doesnât want me to drive in it but both of the girls get really scared
Regina checks her weather app and sees that a small but strong storm is rapidly approaching. She peeks out the window to find that the sky is already grey with dark clouds.
reginald: Yeah, you definitely shouldnât drive. I think we can make it, you come when it stops.
spacecadet: Are you sure?? I know theyâll be fine but you shouldnât have to deal with both of them screaming
reginald: Oh, itâs fine, we already have. There was a little incident before naptime. And scared babies are easy, weâll be fine.
spacecadet: Incident?
reginald: Bad word choice. Both had a tantrum, they were tired and wanted the same crayon.
spacecadet: Oh goodness, Iâm sorry
reginald: Cady, theyâre two, itâs fine. We dealt with it and theyâre fine. Is there anything you usually do with them during storms?
spacecadet: If you say so. If we know theyâre coming we usually warn them, and if itâs really bad we hide in the basement so the noise is muffled. But you can do whatever you need to
reginald: Sounds like a plan. See you whenever it passes.
spacecadet: Thanks, Regina :)
âGirls!â Regina calls gently as she clicks her phone off. Leo and Layla come barreling down the hallway to her when they hear her call, and Gretchen and Karen quickly follow. Regina crouches down to the smallsâ height to explain the situation. âThereâs a thunderstorm coming, but you donât need to be scared. We can all have a storm party!â
âA pawty?â Leo says anxiously. She instinctively reaches for Laylaâs hand, nervous at the prospect of a storm. Especially without Mama or Mommy there to comfort them.
âYeah!â Regina says excitedly. âCome on, letâs get ready.â
Gretchen and Karen seem confused, but follow along with Reginaâs plan. They open the curtains on one of the floor-to-ceiling windows so they can see out, and the twins helpfully grab all the couch cushions and pillows they can carry. Regina gets blankets, and they build a little fort in front of the window, held up by a lamp.
Regina, Gretchen, and Karen head inside, and the twins sit in between them to wait.
After a few minutes, the first flash of lightning lights up the dark sky. Both twins let out a whimper of fright and scream when a crack of thunder follows.
âShh, itâs okay,â Gretchen comforts as they both bury their faces in her chest.
âLoud,â Leo whimpers.
âI know,â Gretchen hushes. âThe storm canât hurt you, itâs just a scary noise.â
âLetâs play a game,â Regina coaxes. Both twins peek their little faces out to see her. âCome here.â Anxiously, they both crawl into her lap and look out the window. âLetâs count.â
âCount?â Layla asks anxiously, jumping and letting out a squeak of fright at the next lightning.
âYeah, letâs go,â Regina says, coaxing them to look. âOne⌠two⌠three⌠four⌠five⌠oh, thereâs the thunder!â
âWhy count?â Leo asks, poking her face out when the booms stop.
âIf we can count high that means the storm is far away,â Regina explains. âItâs gonna get closer, and then itâll move away and be done. And weâre safe in here.â
She smiles as she sees the twins take some deep breaths to calm down and cuddle closer into her. They still jump when the lightning goes by, but this time they count with her.
âOne⌠two⌠free⌠four⌠fibe,â they say anxiously. This time, they giggle when the thunder hits. Layla says, âI did it!â
âDid you make it thunder?â Regina chuckles. Both girls nod. âGood job. Oh, here we go, do it again!â
They only make it to three this time.
âGet close?â Leo asks curiously, looking to her aunties.
âUhhuh,â Regina confirms. Karen and Gretchen switch to be on either side of her and cuddle in close with everyone. âItâs getting closer and then itâll go away.â
A few more rounds go by where they get as high as three, and then they start only making it to one or two. Luckily, they donât seem scared anymore. They look excited to be tracking the storm and making the thunder happen.
âOh, we can count higher now, the storm is leaving,â Regina says happily. âYouâre doing so good!â
Gradually, the rain slows and the storm dissipates. Leo and Layla look curiously out the window the whole time, and make no effort to leave Reginaâs lap once the sun gently peeks out from the horizon, beginning to set for the day. Strangely, Regina finds herself not wanting to let them go, either.
Gretchen and Karen gently exit their little tent to get all the twinsâ things packed back up, and find their shoes and jackets once again. Gretchen is just tying on the last little shoe when they hear a knock at the door.
âWho could that be, girls?â Karen says excitedly, also trying to stop Nutmeg from barking at it too much. âGo see!â
Both twins eagerly run down the hallway to the front door, and Leo stands on her tippy toes to open it.
âMama!â They both call happily, wrapping each of their little bodies around one of her legs.
âHi, sweet girls!â Cady says happily, bending to pick each of them up and kiss all over their little faces. âOh, I missed you so much! What did you do today?â
Both girls immediately launch into a story, explaining in as much detail as they can the exciting events that happened with their aunties. Cady enters and shuts the door behind her as they rattle off their favorite parts.
âReally? Did you have so much fun?â Cady asks when they finally have explained everything they wanted to. They both nod eagerly. âGood. We have to go home now, can you go say thank you?â
Both twins wiggle to be set down and run back to their aunties, giving hugs and saying thank you for a fun day. Cady follows suit too, and grins as her daughters seem to linger for just a while longer with Regina.
âThank you so much,â Cady says gratefully. âYou guys are so good with them, thank you.â
âAnytime!â Karen says happily. âBye girls!â
Both girls wave goodbye and call a, âBye-bye!â over their mamaâs shoulder as theyâre carried out of the apartment and down to go home. Cady chuckles and kisses each forehead gently as she buckles them into their car seats.
ââââââ
âMommy, Mommy!â Both girls call happily when Cady unlocks the front door to let them in, toddling full speed down the hall and over to Janis on the couch. Cady stays behind for a second and gives a small grin at the wide smile her wife gets upon seeing their children.
âHi, girls!â Janis says happily, sounding like she already has a bit of energy back. It usually takes her a minimum of a few days to recover from an episode, but sheâs already making good progress through this one. âI missed you.â
âMiss Mommy too,â the twins say at the same time. Janis grins contently as they both worm their way up on top of her for a snuggle.
âAww, my sweet girls,â Janis coos. âDid you have fun with your aunties?â
Cady rolls her eyes lovingly, knowing Janis just opened a whole can of worms for herself. At least she has enough time to go get the twinsâ bedtime things ready for them while they explain their whole day to their mommy.
-
The twins apparently gave Janis an abridged version of the story, because when Cady comes back she finds them all silent. Both twins are cuddled into Janisâ chest, one little head on each of her shoulders. Janis has a hand resting on each of their backs, holding them close to her. Her eyes are closed contently, and she looks the most at peace Cady thinks sheâs ever seen from her. Sheâs glad to see it.
She sneakily snaps a few pictures of her perfect little family before she does unfortunately have to break up the little cuddle party. âAlright, munchkins, itâs bedtime.â
âI can get them down,â Janis says quietly, opening her eyes when Cady kisses her forehead.
âIf you want, of course,â Cady agrees. âI got their jammies ready and everything.â
Janis nods and picks up both of their sleepy girls, standing carefully and carrying them upstairs. Cady flops onto their bed and listens down the hall as Janis gets them into their pajamas, brushes their teeth and hair, and reads them some bedtime stories.
The end of story time is her cue, and she hauls herself up to go to the nursery to kiss their babies goodnight. Janis is hunched over and pressed against Leoâs little face, giving her her goodnight kisses and having their little nightly chat. Cady goes to Layla first.
âDid you have a good day today?â She whispers. Layla nods. âGood! What was your favorite part?â
âUh⌠doggy,â Layla responds.
âYou liked playing with Nutmeg?â Cady chuckles. âI bet she liked you too. What part did you not like?â
âFunderstoâm,â Layla says.
âI know, that mustâve been scary,â Cady replies. âBut you made it through the whole thing even though you were scared! You were so brave, Ladybug.â Layla beams at her, and Cady smiles back. âAre we gonna have our best day tomorrow?â Layla nods again. âGood, get some good sleep so youâre ready for it.â
Cady leans down to kiss her forehead and down her little nose.
âGoodnight, my sweet little pumpkin, have sweet dreams,â Cady whispers. âI love you so much.â
âLuh you, Mama,â Layla says quietly, followed by a yawn.
Cady and Janis switch twins then, repeating their process on the other girl before turning on the white noise machine and nightlight, and leaving them to sleep.
âââââ
Across town, all three Plastics flop into bed early, exhausted after a very, very long day. Itâs Reginaâs turn in the middle, her favorite nights. Sheâd never admit it, but she loves having each of her girlfriends cuddled up on either side of her all night.
âWe did good,â Gretchen yawns. Her girlfriends nod in agreement. âWe⌠we should have a chat tomorrow.â
âStop yawning, youâre making me yawn,â Regina grumbles. Gretchen chuckles and leans in for a kiss. Regina suddenly forgets her complaints and kisses her back.
âAhem,â Karen coughs. Regina rolls her eyes lovingly, but flips over to give Karen some affection too. âThank you.â
âI love you,â Regina whispers, kissing both of her girlfriends and cuddling in under the duvet.
âI love you too,â Gretchen murmurs, also kissing both of them before cuddling in on Reginaâs right side.
âI love you three,â Karen says, getting her kisses in and settling in on Reginaâs left. They say this every night, and still always giggle at âI love you three.â
They drift off tangled in each other, completely exhausted but completely content.
It takes a village.
---
hope you enjoyed!!
iâm still undecided on whether to give the plastics kids, which is why i left the ending sort of intentionally vague in that regard :))) so let me know!! if you guys want i can totally do a kid fic for them, or just give them a kid and not write about it. or not give them a kid!!! up to you guys!

Harry daughter tricks him into letting her stay home from school
Y/n is black btw.
âOkay love are you ready for me to do your hair? Then we go to school.â
âmommy does my hairâ She said, lrubbing her eyes. Her hair in a big fro curls everywhere. She just woke up.
âMommy isnât here to Soo daddyâs turn.â He said lifting her up. Placing her on the counter of the bathroom sink. In front of large mirror
âSo today I am your hairstylist today madam My name is Harry Styles. And yes honey I was honestly born for this job .â Harry said In a posh accent. Causing Lilly to giggle.
âDaddy you talk funny.â She laughed. As Harry sighed looking at the all of the hair in front of him. It was a big curly Afro and very messy because she just woke up.
âDaddy are you sure that you can do my hair?â She asked, looking up at him through the mirror. Harry smiles. âOf course daddy can.â
He took the hair brush and comb in his hand. He first tried to comb through his daughter hair. Causing Lilly to cry out.
âOoow daddy! Noo.â
âIâm sorry love,â he said with a sigh. Getting confused he need to put all this hair in a ponytail or two like y/n does but he canât put it in a pony while itâs in a tangled messed. Harry looked over at the the hair ingredients on the rack on the side of sink. Seeing âdetanglerâ on the bottle. Harry immediately started to spray the detangler all over her hair. Causing her hair to become basically soaking wet. He started to comb through the hair but yet Lilly still pouted at the pain.
âDaddy.. please it hurtsss.â She said turning around looking up at him sadly pouting out her bottom lip. The pain of him brushing her hair was too much for her. Harry sighed heâs sucker for his little girl
âOkay. I guess we can stay in for the day and watch tv and eat snacks.â
âYay!!â The four year old yelled and as she turned around and jumped on Harry.
âLetâs watch inside out.â
//
Y/n arrived home after being out working. To see Harry and Lilly sitting there on the couch in there pajamas. Y/n looked down at her phone to make sure that it was Thursday. Harry sent Y/n a smile.
âUmm why isnât Lilly at school?â She asked approach the two on the couch.
âWell I tried to do her hair and every time I tried she cried.. soo I told her she can stay home with daddy.â Harry said with a half smile. Y/n have him a skeptical look. Y/n looked down at the little girl who was already looking at her.
âLilly did you trick daddy?â Y/n ask her daughter giving her a stern look. Lilly let a sigh and nodded.
âYes mummy.â
âHmm thatâs lying.. you canât lie to daddy. You have to apologize.â Y/n said, Lilly turned her head to her father.
âIâm sorry daddy.â She said looking at him sadly. Harry was sucker for those puppy dogs eyes. Y/n could see he was gonna tell her itâs okay.
âNow go up in your room and think about what you did.â Y/n said firmly. The toddler nodded and sulked up the stairs.
âI canât believe I fell for that.â Harry said, y/n sat next to him.
âHarry youâre a sucker for that puppy dog face. I do it to you all the time when I want you to cook me food.â
âOhh so she gets the manipulative trait from you?â He said as he kissed her lips.

Hiya! I seen that you wrote for Pennywise and I couldnât help myself. Could you possibly do something fluff for the big clown boi? Maybe cuddling? Or anything thatâs downright adorable. Thank you! :) have a nice day
â For a child-eating entity from another universe, Pennywise is surprisingly cuddly. If heâs in an affectionate mood, youâre gonna get cuddled whether you like it or not.Â
â Oh, whatâs that? Youâre busy? Tough. Heâll scoop you up beneath your arms and carry you away for a forced cuddle-session like a toddler dragging a fussy cat. Youâre his little human pet! Prepare to be treated as such. Heâll plop down cross-legged on the bed or couch and bundle you into his lap, stroking and petting your hair fondly. Perhaps a little too fondly. Invest in some detangling spray.
â Penny loves to spoon you! If you happen to be lying down when his cuddling urges commence, heâll envelop your body in his arms and nuzzle his face deep into the dip of your neck. Youâll hear him emit a low, constant rumbling, one that resonates up his chest and tickles your back. The vibrations from Pennyâs purring get strong. Like, deep-tissue massage strong. Expect to be sore the next day.

Previously:
âDean, what did you do?â Sammy asked me.
âNothing.. Just got some clothes⌠some makeup.â
âYouâŚ. got makeup?!â snickered SamâŚ
âYou wonât be laughing soonâŚâ I quipped.
âWhat?â Samâs face scrunched up. Â
âNothing Sammy, listen Iâm gonna be a chick for a few more days, I mine as well commit to the new role. You canât tell me that me not wearing a bra or makeup is making me blend in.â
âDean, as much as I hate to admit it, you look like a model. You donât need that.â
âAweee Sammy, keep on saying things like that and Iâll start to think you like me.â
Sam chuckled as we loaded Baby and headed home for our nights out.
Now:
âHow did your outing to the mall go, Dean?â asked Cass as soon as we made it through the door.
âIt was nice⌠I met someone, Stacey. Sheâs pretty cool and she invited me out tonight.â I stated as Sam snickered.
âIs she a lesbian?â Asked Cass confused.
âWha-no! She has a boyfriend, he and Sam are going to hang out tonight too.â
âIs he gay? Sam are you gay?â Asked Cass confused, âI wonât judge, but that would make no sense since your physiological responses to Deanâs newâŚ.â
âNO NO NO Iâm not gay Cass!â Yelled Sam just in time.
I smirked and said, âSammy itâs rude to cut people off. I thought I taught you betterâŚ. Go on Cass, what about his physiological responsesâŚâ
âThen why are you going on a date with a girl as a girl and why is he hanging out with a man as a man?â
Immediately Sam and I started laughing.
âWell,â I said as I grabbed my bags from Sam, âYou have fun explaining to the toddler man whatâs going on here.â
âWhere are you going?â Asked Sam.
âIâm going to get ready!â I said with a little too much enthusiasm.
âDean, we arenât going over their place for another 3 hours,â Sam stated⌠If only he knew.
âExactly, thereâs no time Sam. I have to shower again because I just tried on a bunch of clothes. Then thereâs the shaving, lotion, the hairdo, the makeup, the perfume, jewelry, heels, thatâs not even getting my purse ready.â Halfway through my laundry list of items, his face just glazed over, when I finished, just to check if he was listening, I continued, âI also need to feed the pet dragon, walk my pet worm, his nameâs Elliot.â
Sam just waved me off and said: âUh huh sure Dean go ahead and do whatever it is that you have to do.â
âYou have no idea what I just said did you?â I asked, feeling a bit peeved.
âYou said something about shaving.â
âSeriously, Sam?â
âWhat?â
âNothingâ I said as I stomped away. Hmm. Thatâs never happened to me before⌠People just checking out as Iâm speaking.. Iâll show him. Just wait.
Ever since I became a chick, Iâve been loving my showers, they destroy my cramps and allow me to just relax for a second.
The minute I turned on Pandora, Juke Box Hero started playing. I let my hair out with only my underwear on and I started swaying, combing out my hair. By the time I was done I started singing the lyricsâŚ
âStanding in the rain, with his head hung low Couldn't get a ticket, it was a sold out show Heard the roar of the crowd, he could picture the scene Put his ear to the wall, then like a distant screamâ
At âHe heard one guitarâ I grabbed my brush and started jamming as I started the shower water.
âjust blew him away He saw stars in his eyes, and the very next day Bought a beat up six string in a secondhand store Didn't know how to play it, but he knew for sureâ
I started to sway my hips and traced a hand up my figure,
âThat one guitar, felt good in his hands Didn't take long, to understand Just one guitar, slung way down low Was one way ticket, only one way to go So he started rockin' Ain't never gonna stop Gotta keep on rockin' Someday he's gonna make it to the topâ
Then I started headbanging and giggling as I started screaming,
âAnd be a juke box hero, got stars in his eyes He's a juke box hero He took one guitar, juke box hero, stars in his eyes Juke box hero, he'll come alive tonightâ
I slid into the shower, putting on my own concert.
âIn a town without a name, in a heavy downpour Thought he passed his own shadow, by the backstage door Like a trip through the past, to that day in the rain And that one guitar made his whole life changeâ
I poured out the soap and started lathering up.
âNow he needs to keep rockin' He just can't stop Gotta keep on rockin' That boy has got to stay on top And be a juke box hero, got stars in his eyes He's a juke box hero, got stars in his eyes Yeah, juke box hero, got stars in his eyes With that one guitar he'll come alive Come alive tonightâ
Then I started playing the air guitar on my stomach.
âYeah, he's gotta keep rockin' He just can't stop Gotta keep on rockin' That boy has got to stay on top
And be a juke box hero, got stars in his eyes
He's a juke box hero, got stars in his eyes
Just one guitar, put stars in his eyes
He's just a juke box hero, aah aah aah
Juke box hero, juke box hero, he's got stars in his eyes
Stars in his eyesâ
After that I started to shave, at least I was semi-decent at that. By the time I was out of the shower I was refreshed and ready to tackle this mane. The knots are ridiculous. Theyâre so bad that I actually have to ask Sammy for help.
âSammy!â yelled from my bathroom with nothing but my red flannel lace bra set on⌠Maybe I called him in like that on purpose.
âDean what do you, woah Hey clothing!â Sam screamed.
âI am wearing clothing, Sasquatch. I need your help.â I huffed as I popped a hip out.
âWith what?â asked Sam as his eyes practically bulged out of his head, fighting to concentrate only on my face.
âMy hair, I canât get all of the knots out.â I said as I clawed at my hair with the brush.
Samâs face contorted in pain.
âNo Dean stop, youâre breaking your hairâŚ. Hold on.â Ordered Sam as he walked out of my private bathroom. In a few minutes, he came back with a bottle.
âWhatâs that?â I asked confused.
âThis is a detangler, helps you comb out your hair.â Then he started spraying me. âFlip your hair down.â
âWhat?â
âJust trust me. Bend over.â
âWHAT...HELL NO SAMMYâŚâ
âI need to spray all of your hair.â
âSo what does that have to do with me bending. You already sprayed it.â
Sam rolled his eyes, âI sprayed the top layer, not the bottom, now bend before I turn you upside down myself.â
âYou wouldnâtâŚâ
âTry me,â glared Sam.
I grunted as I bent over and then he started to spray the back of my head.
âNow flip your hair back and hand me the brush.â
âLike you know how to comb a womanâs hair nicely---oh my gah...that...feels..like...heavenâ My speech started to slightly slur as Sam massaged the products in to my scalp.
Sam chuckled and said, âYou are a disaster of a woman, Dean.â
âIâm new at it⌠shut up and brush Gigantor.â I said as I handed him the brushâŚ
When he was done brushing I thanked him and began the struggle of putting on a dress. It took a few tries but finally the black bombshell dress slipped over my curves. Then I tossed my hair and threw gel all over it, I put on my jewelry and packed my purse, added perfume, and almost walked out the door.
Then I remembered, the heels. Stacey called mine black pumps. As soon as I threw them on I put on the makeup exactly how Stacey instructed me, how my makeup took an hour and she showed me on my face in 5 minutes I have no clue⌠but I managed⌠By the time I looked in the mirror, I didnât even recognize the new me, I would be intimidated by me.
âSamâs reaction is gonna be great,â I said as a Cheshire grin spread across my face.
When I walked out into the war room, Castiel was on the phone with Rowena.
âAnother week? Rowena I fear that somethingâs happening to Dean. Apparently heâs enjoying this a little too much.â
I smirked as I fixed my breasts and said, âWhat am I enjoying too much, Castiel?â
âYou being a fe---Rowena I have to call you back.â Said Cass as he turned around and locked eyes with me. His eyes roamed my body and his mouth open and closed like a fish.
You alright there Cass?â I asked as I approached himâŚ
âI⌠I donât know how to feel about thisâŚâ Said Castiel , shocked.
âWhy? Because Iâm hot?â I said with a smile.
Behind me, I heard a beer bottle crash to the floor and when I turned around, Sam stood there, his face red and jaw permanently open. Samâs eyes repeated Cassâ yet they stopped at my chest...
âSam! Eyes are up here!â I yelled and Samâs eyes shot up to mine.
âHoly shit.â Said Sam.
âSomething wrong, Sammy? You look nice, ready to go?â I asked as if I didnât notice his reaction.
âGive me a minute here, Dean. Tell me you arenât going out like that.â
âLIKE WHAT Sam? Like a fuckin bombshell?!â I said near insulted.
âNo, youâre too hot, Dean. Youâre gonna attract the wrong kind of attention with that on.â
âIâm sorry? What I wear is my business, does it not look good?â I felt hurt now. How can he not like how I look.
âNo it does, it just looks too good.â Said Sam...
âI KNOW RIGHT?! LOOK Iâm FUCKIN HOT!â I squealed excitedlyâŚ.
âSammy look at my ass,â I said as I turned around and rubbed the globes, âItâs so fuckinâ perfect.â
âIâm not gonna stare at my brother turned sisterâs ass, Dean.â
âOh, so you can stare at my chest but not my ass? Makes sense, I knew you were a tits man anyway.â I said nonchalantly.
âWhat?!â Sam yelped.
âCâmon, Rubyâs ass wasnât nearly as impressive as her chesticles.â I chuckled.
âDean youâve gotta changeâ
âHELL NO, Now are you coming with me or not?â I said with a pout.
As soon as Sam sighed in defeat I turned around to walk out⌠On my way out I heard both Cass and Sam groan⌠Ohhh this is gonna be interesting.
The minute we got in the car Sam took a deep breath in and his gaze shot towards me.
âWhat now, Sammy?â I asked.
âAre you wearing perfume?â
âYeah, so?â
âI just canât⌠why?â
âWell Samuel, in case you didnât know,â I said with an air of sarcasm, â all humans do this thing called perspiration. It is commonly known as sweating. When one perspires the scent can be off-putting to others in the area. Therefore, men and women put on deodorant. Men put on cologne, while women wear perfume and in case you havenât noticedâŚ. Iâm currently sporting a vagina, meaning that I am indeed a chick. Therefore what you smell is La Vie Est Belle by Lancome.â
âHow are you more of a dick when you donât have one?â Scoffed Sammy.
âLike I said before, itâs a reminder, Sammy.â
As we got closer to their apartment, Sammy struck up a conversation.
âDo you miss it?â
âMiss what?â I asked as I fixed my lipgloss.
âITâ
âLittle Dean?â I asked.
âYou call your dick what?!â Snickered Sam.
âWell, what do you call yours?â I asked, annoyed.
âGodzilla,â said Sam.
âAnd youâre laughing at me? Why âGodzillaâ?â
As soon as we pulled into the driveway Sammy stated simply, âBecause itâs known to destroy anything it comes into contact withâŚâ
My jaw just hung open while he got out of the car and went around to open my door.

What can I put in my little ones hair for frizziness and general toddler dryness/flyaways? She doesnt have curly hair and most products are for curly hair kiddos. She could be due for a first hair cut i guess but i was hoping to hold off a bit... its just so thin and does that loopuly at her ears wings thing. Does it need more moisture or just time to figure itself out? đââď¸đ¤ˇââď¸
My daughterâs hair sounds similar to yours, we use Barbie detangling spray from the dollar tree and that tends to calm it down a bit! âĄď¸

Paladin Hcs + Lotor, Allura where their s/o has curly, thick hair? Thanksssđ
here you go hun! by the way, weâre closing requests soon, so send em in when you can! -viper (gotta credit soph bc she helped me write a few i love u)
Shiro:-I see this man as the one who tries to brush your hair every. single. day. -once you woke up to your dry hair being yanked and your head in shiros lap-shiro would have literally no idea what to do with your hair besides forehead ponytails-like one day youâre just sad and he probably dresses you and then you ask him to do your hair and-ultimate. regret-where did he even GET those little hairties with the plastic balls on them?? this is the middle of space?? we are not in a claireâs??-20 minutes of him playing with your hair and various âuhhhâs from shiro and you look like your friend darnelle from 1st grade-âso shiro what did you do to my hair? it feels nice! is it a braid?âshiro, slowly undoing the early 2000s braid: âyeahâŚâ
Keith:-as one of the âkeith knows nothing about human culture and has never breathed near a female beforeâ people, ive gotta tell you..-what the fuck is hair-he just sprays dry shampoo in his and moves on??-âhey keith hun can you help me put some hair products in??â-he turned into a confused twerp when you asked him that!! how does he respond!! -âsorry my. knife. my knife is calling me she said sheâs going to the store iâll be right backâ-he felt bad for all the times he didnât know how to help you do your hair so he got you some hair gel at some little shop in the space mall-when he gave it to you he had that cute little smile on his face and those gorgeous soft eyes and-it was beard gel-bonus: it worked very well
Lance:-did someone say HAIR PRODUCTS HOARDER-he has everything for your hair and nobody knows where he got it from???-he could be running a hair salon drug ring and nobody would be shocked-he has short, straight hair so heâs a little confused but tries his best!! heâs trying!! please love him-there have been countless attempts where he tried to put your hair in a ponytail and it ended in you screaming, holding a threatening flip flop -ânot the chancla mama!â-he goes to allura for some curly hair advice which thankfully helps the man out and he can give you a hair mask as a peace offering
Hunk:-the. boy. i love him. you love him. he loves you. there is love-he sometimes gets in the shower and washes your hair for you-it feels so nice because he has large and strong fingers and theyâre massaging your scalp and youâre both smiling and oh my god this is the cutest thing-sometimes mumbles little songs or poems to you while heâs conditioning your hair and it just makes your heart clench in the best way-very delicate with it-loves your hair?? always compliments you even when you have tragic bed head-âlook at my beautiful ramen baby!! shiro!! look at my ramen head angel!!ââback the fuck up before you get smack the fuck upâ
Pidge:-doesnât understand curly hair and is too scared to brush it because sheâs afraid sheâs gonna hurt you-i feel like matt did her hair when she had long hair and sheâs still petty about her hair being pulled so tight that her eyeballs were astrally projecting -so she absentmindedly gets revenge on you-like if you ask her to help you detangle your hair, sheâll just stare off into space and start yanking with the comb-after you yank her own hair, she snaps out of it, and brushes your hair for you and sadly applies some product to it -why is she sad??-she said she loves it when you look like a lion-that resulted in a chase around the castle -also she definitely likes petting your hair to fall asleep because she has some odd fascination with the texture
Allura:-she has curly hair as well so she definitely understands your struggles-but she also knows some tricks for hairstyles and such!!-which means sheâs doing your hair every morning like youâre a toddler (not that youâre complaining)-her hair is a tad different than yours which means using some of her alien hair products may or may have not turned your hair neon purple for a week but we donât talk about that-âyour hair is so soft!! what did you do it?ââthe mice washed my hairââthey whatââthe mice washed my hairâ
Lotor:-he does the 3 braids into 1 braid thing-even if your hair isnât easy to braid he just uses a lot of hair product and.. and he..-âwow lotor! how did you learn to style hair so beautifully?â-âi actually have no idea how to cut or style hair mines just been growing since birth and iâve never cut itâ-bad and naughty princes arenât allowed to go to the hair salon-he lets you use his shampoo when you complain about nothing on the ship working for you and you feeling bad for using alluras products-it smells like mangos and fulfilled dreams and it actually cleans your hair nicely-âwhere did you get this i need more of it now i love itââi stole it from a hotelâ-this is unrelated to the hair thing but i feel like lotor listens to jason derulo

I never expected to be locked into toddler mode for so many years. I am now entering my sixteenth year of preparing sandwiches and fruit for 1 p.m. lunch. Checking the weather for the next ten days and planning alternating sessions of artwork and outings. My entire wardrobe is based on avoiding summer sunburn and winter frostbite. From the very beginning, I have kept these kids outdoors as much as possible. There is a shelving unit by the front door containing aloe vera, band aids and hair detangling spray. Every few months, I replenish the boxes and bottles when I see supplies getting low.
August means work requests. I have been honest with prospective employers. The next thirty days are going to be pivotal. Not just for the approaching academic session, but for years to come. I do not know what life will look like in October. What I do know is that my priorities remain the same. Everything else will flow from my family, like it always does.

The toddler runs away , knowing that you have a comb or you're gonna oil her hair. How many of you moms have faced the same issue ? But this can't go on forever right. How do we make the combing or hair grooming sessions hassle free and make you have less tension. We can't always make them have short hair. @mamaearth.in has the best solution we moms have been looking for. Yes a detangle hair spray. You might wonder should we use a hair spray at such a young age? But with @mamaearth.in you know that it's paraben and silicon free. đWhat do they contain ? đ°Beetroot - to provide conditioning đAloe Vera - to retain softness of the hair. Most importantly the product is hypoallergenic and can be used for kids from 6 months plus. This now makes my daughter's Combing session an enjoyable one that she looks forward too. Everything You Should Know for Caring your Curly Hair Toddler
Curly hair looks adorable, they look little frizzy so itâs hard to maintain. They need little more care and love to maintain. By following proper hair care routine for them, it becomes easy to handle them.Â
Wash less often
Use a gentle sulphate free shampoo once or twice a week. Over-washing curly hair can make it dry and dull. Avoid rubbing or tangling the curls while shampooing, gently massage the roots avoiding the ends.Â
Curly hair has less moisture so natural oils of hair has to be maintained so make a habit to oil them before you go for shampooing and use shampoos that is formulated for babies. Â
    2. Use moisturizing conditioner after shampoo
Curls can tangle easily, but a conditioner can be used to reduce knots. Apply conditioner and gently try to detangle curly hair. Do not wash conditioner before all the knots are detangled. Once the hair is dry, it is difficult to detangle and results in breakage of hair.Â
Curly hair requires less shampooing so conditioner helps as cleanser. Look for moisturiser that contains olive oil, coconut oil or shea butter.Â
    3. Styling with care
Apply a spray detangler at the end of the hairs, using detangler for kids is safe, comb hair with wide toothed comb. Divide hair into small sections and avoid pulling the hair.Â
Use soft towel to gently dry curly hairs regular towel are rough for delicate curly hair causing tugging, pulling, tangling and breakage. Gently pat hairs rather than pulling and rubbing, as this can remove moisture.
   4. Analyse hair type and buy accordinglyÂ
It is important to analyse your kid hair type and buy hair products that suit their hair type. You can find good result when you treat your kid hair according to their hair type.Â
  5. Trim hair after every 2-3 months
Curly hair require trimming much often as curly hair are dry, especially at ends and they are more prone to breakage.Â
Curly hair is easier to manage and tend to be healthier when they are regularly trimmed. Trimming can remove dead ends. Take your baby to experienced stylist who has experience with cutting curly hair.
