Your boyfriend is LOADED - Gojo Satoru headcanon
A/N: It has finally happened, my first Gojo fic. It's a short one, but I have been having this thought for a minute now, so I needed to get it out. Shoutout to @lizabeth0329 this one is for u ;)
Most of the time you forget that Satoru's trust fund is probably bigger than your entire bloodline's combined worth. He's just so carefree and light that you ALMOST forget. But not to fret, the white-haired menace never fails to remind you.
Richbf!Gojo who despite his silly antics cares SO much, always getting you little trinkets that remind him of you when he is away, or which he knows would remind you of him. You would collect and cherish them wholeheartedly, either keeping them in a pretty box or attaching the Keychains to your bag. Once, when your friend asked about one of your pretty azure souvenirs, you googled the brand just to check and almost dislocated your jaw at the realization of the price.
"What, that small thing? Don't even worry about it my love," Satoru winked cheekily when you brought it up. "You're worth way more than that."
He is also a big believer in flowers, spoiling you rotten with them. You were so moved the first time he got you a bouquet of blue hyacinths, a handwritten note explaining how they represent the constancy of his love for you, deep and all-encompassing. Now, you are more or so used to his weekly bouquets, always accompanied by either tender love messages or silly doodles signed with his name.
Richbf!Gojo who insists on treating you and paying for everything. It is his duty to care and provide for you in any way that he can. Whether you like it or not, he feels responsible for your comfort. Seeing you struggling is abhorrent to him, and he hates it even more when you don't come to him when he could so easily help.
"Come on princess, let me pay for it." He would gently coax you, hand on your cheek and a soft pout gracing his soft lips. "Please?"
And how could you possibly resist his persuasion, especially when those crystal eyes bore into yours with such tenderness?
Richbf!Gojo who is so proud of your relationship and would absolutely rock the crap out of anyone who dares come for you because of your social/financial status.
"I guess all those cosmetics you buy do nothing for the bad attitude, huh?" he commented, giving a nasty look at one uppity woman who had made a snide remark about him dating you out of all people. Moments like those reminded you that Satoru did not mind stooping down to some people's levels and insult them right in their face if it meant protecting you.
"That was harsh," You commented later, nestled against his chest during your weekly movie night in the comfort of his lavish apartment
"What was harsh was her patchy foundation." He replied with an eye roll, sending you into a fit of giggles.
Money meant nothing to Satoru if he could not use it to benefit you in some way. And whether or not you revel in this fact, you would just have to get used to that side of him because it is not going anywhere.
Satoru please pay for my tuition
Comments and reblogs much appreciated :))

Yandere God Gojo headconons
[As promised, a bit late I know, but I needed my time to not cry for Satoru so an apology. So since I'm not good at describing powers and let's add to that Jujutsu Kaisen has mathematics, which I hate... I just won't go into his god-like powers]
This post comes from the previous idea, you can find it in my profile. Credits to the artist and me for the edition.
⚠️ Warning: This is MY interpretation of the character but it does not define the canon, I want to show my love for him (Fuck Gege for all I care) There may also be pronoun errors because damn my dyslexia affects my eyesight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On an ordinary night, your mother sent you to the mini supermarket, a place similar to convenience stores like pharmacies. 「More common in my native Mexico, such as an Oxxo.」
Unexpectedly, a curse/demon began to haunt you. Without knowing how, you ended up cornered in an alley, the rain adding a touch of desperation to the atmosphere. Exhausted, you tripped over a trash can, lacerating your leg in the fall.
The unimaginable happened when your blood, the fruit of the scrape, awakened a god enclosed within a bucket, multiple eyes arranged in a dice-like pattern 「Yeah, I fucking used 'It' you thought」. Your blood acted as a call for the imprisoned being lying in there.
Satoru, the god that lay dormant, awoke. Upon realizing your situation, he offered to help you, but not before uttering the words that would seal your fate: "Tell me, mortal, do you accept that I save you by giving me something precious? Yes or no, the choice is yours."
Given your young age of six and the impossibility of facing the dreadful monster that pursued you, you had no choice but to accept. How could you refuse? Hell, you were a brat who could barely carry your mother's bag of errands, much less fight that dreadful thing that wanted you dead.
And so the deal between you and the unknown god was sealed with…. a tongue kiss. 「Despite its polemical nature, it is crucial to the development of the plot」.
❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ Satoru, in his divine form, is an extraordinarily powerful being. Sometimes, his impressive abilities can lead you into complicated situations, such as when a simple sneeze from him transported you to another dimension. Such is his level of power. 「In this version, we will represent him as an invincible individual to explore his unrestricted potential…. P.S. I hate you Gege」 ❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ Gojo is often playful and teasing, he often jokes with you, even going so far as to claim that you are his "wife" although it sounds like a joke, he really means it. His attitude toward other people's opinions is indifferent. He enjoys showing affection, kissing and caressing you, although he has waited for you to reach adulthood before formally considering you his mate in public. ❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ When he is not using his 'real' form, we see him as the canonical Satoru, though obviously with Lovecraftian touches to his powers. Despite his divine nature, he exhibits a somewhat childish side, similar to what he shows in canon… BUT 100% times worse, as he has been alone and being powerful, he doesn't have much morals as he considers it stupid to abide by the rules of 'lesser beings'. Despite his playful and relaxed attitude, he hides a dark side. He is aware of how capable he is of destroying a city with a single finger, if he so desires. ❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ Handling his jealousy is not his strong point, given that he has always gotten what he wanted and not knowing how to deal with humans despite having spent millennia observing them or making deals before being 'sealed' 「More like sleeping」It always makes it difficult for him to respond to his own emotions. ❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ Since he is not human and was born in the void of nothingness and everything, he has wandered and fought in various places, often just for fun or out of sheer boredom. His reactions can be fickle and capricious. This Satoru is a mixture of his adolescent and adult stages, mostly acting like a spoiled brat and playful with you but when he is jealous or sentimental, he acts according to his divine position. ❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ When he feels jealous, his reaction is unpredictable. If the reason for his jealousy persists 「Examples are like a male human talking to you」 And already for that reason he might decide to eliminate the source of his discomfort. For this reason, you hardly interact with other people. It is intriguing how loving words and gestures can appease him…. Although sometimes that doesn't assure you that those poor souls who crossed words with you will be saved from him. ❀.°• ─ ─ ─ ─➢ As a divine being, he has the power to materialize anything you desire. His gifts have no limits, and he takes you wherever you want. Sometimes, on a mere whim, he grabs you and takes you on unexpected rides using his abilities. It is curious how he shows jealousy towards any thinking human being, and even animals, taking you back home without allowing the date to continue or any activity prior to his jealousy.
"Toru… for once, let me enjoy this vacation. If you take me somewhere, make it really worthwhile. I couldn't even ride the roller coaster just because the ticket booth clerk was a man…" You looked at him as he pretended not to have pulled you out of the amusement park just 5 minutes ago due to his jealousy.
"Come on, couldn't we go another time…? It's no big deal, you know I can take you anytime, why don't we cuddle instead of fighting, would you like me to shower you with kisses, mmh? Come on, my sweet bean mochi!!! I want to…" You looked at him, almost incredulous. You really doubt he'll let you go to a crowded amusement park. If you go, it will surely be when he's off duty or with a snap of his fingers, it's not for nothing that he can stop time.
"Even if you do that, it doesn't mean I'm no longer upset with you." You watched her pouting expression. Despite having six beautiful eyes and six arms, you didn't want to fall for his game.
Gojo was unwilling to listen to your complaints. He was in a bad mood, convinced that you would understand his position. He acted like a child seeking to get your attention to deflect your anger. And so, he devised a plan. He moved closer to you by climbing up on the edge of the bed. "Mochi, do you prefer something sweet or sour?"
"Do you think that's an appropriate question to change the subject? I'm still annoyed with you. Hey, let go of me!" You felt his firm embrace, laughing as he kissed your neck and his chest pressed against your back.
He took a lock of your hair behind your ear and fiddled with it in his mouth. A shiver ran through your body as his lips brushed your earlobe. "Why are you playing hard to get when you know I know you well? Besides, I know my jealousy doesn't affect you, and I'm going to make sure you're only mine." He laughed softly, pulling you closer to him.
"Satoru… That doesn't justify you threatening anyone who looks at me. I don't want to be embarrassed like the other day in the cafeteria, when you tried to hurt the cashier just because I ordered a cappuccino." You whispered as his six arms held you tighter and in different places, listening to his childish whimper as he buried his face in the back of your neck.
His behavior was becoming more aggressive and lustful, making him dangerous. He held you in such a way that you could not move. He looked at you with playful eyes, sketching a smile.
"So what if I'm jealous? If I'm honest with you, if another guy tried to get your attention, I'd be sure to eliminate any interest he showed." A smirk formed on his face. You knew that ugly smile well, a cruel and possessive one, dealing with his jealousy sometimes exhausted you … you had no choice since your soul was bound to him.
He kissed you passionately and caressed your body, his touch was too pleasurable to resist, your flushed but annoyed face said it all. He didn't mind at all acting that way in public if it meant you would still be his. "You will always be my only princess….. I love you, my precious mochi," he whispered softly before delivering another intense kiss, this time on your lips, his arms frolicking with you and bringing an even more severe blush to your face.
NSFW:
••┈┈┈••✦ This Satoru loves to make you scream, if Sukuna in his original form can grind you to exhaustion, our albino won't let you rest. ••┈┈┈•• He loves having you in front of his cock, the worst thing is that he can create more if he wants to. Let's add that he has six arms, each one can overstimulate you, forget to mention that Gojo is 213 cm / 7'1 feet, you are a midget next to him. So his cock and fingers are the size of your arms, but he can fucking manipulate reality and adjust your pussy to his size. ••┈┈┈••✦ He loves you riding his cock while he hears you moaning, sometimes you end up kissing him. He loves you sucking him while he pulls your hair. His hands usually go from your breasts to your waist [Sorry I'm not good at writing NSFW] All while you swallow his cock, his fingers have claws and putting them all the way in hurts but in the pleasure you end up giving priority to your lust, forgetting the pain. ••┈┈┈••✦ Honestly, Satoru can make your body not get tired so easily, but he is not cruel so he can set limits for you. He especially loves to bite, while you scratch him all over the place. ••┈┈┈••✦ His aftercare is incredibly gentle, he kisses and lulls you as if you were a baby, and how could he not? When he leaves you all exhausted down there and you can't feel your legs. Sometimes he gets to the point where his excitement clouds his judgement, ending up with your bones broken.
In general, having a relationship with him is like going on a roller coaster ride: You can feel a rush of various emotions and in turn want more of it even though you know it's scary to a certain extent. Just avoid making Satoru jealous and everything will be fine [What won't be fine are your mouth, your ass and pussy]

Can We Make This Work? (5)
Nanami Kento x POC!Fem Reader x Gojo Satoru (Masterlist) Chapter 5: The Arrangement (Previous) (Next) Summary: Nanami processes his thoughts with some help. You offer him a deal. Warnings: Angst
Nanami sat in his office, putting the finishing touches in his mission report. He felt a headache coming on as the weight of today was slowly getting to him. Today's mission with Ino was troublesome, as instead of the 2 second-grade curses that they were informed of, there were 3. Despite the two leaving unscathed, Nanami was irritated by the blatant error in information. That plus the needless meddling in his personal life and his subsequent blow-up, Nanami was just craving for this day to end.
But much to his dismay, a certain blindfold-wearing sorcerer barged into his office. "Nanamin, how's it going buddy?" chirped the older sorcerer as he took a seat.
Nanami took a deep breath to maintain his composure. "Gojo, I am not in the mood, so if you can please lea--"
"Do you want me to get rid of her?" asked Gojo, his happy-go-lucky attitude completely disappearing. Nanami felt the room get cold. He didn't expect the shift Gojo's personality.
"W-what? No... no. Why do you think I would want that?"
"Well, it seems like she's making your life miserable. And seeing that I put her there, well, I can just take her out," admitted Gojo. His serious demeanor didn't waver.
"No.. no. She doesn't need to be --"
Gojo stood up and marched towards Nanami's deck. "But I thought she was an inconvenience, always begging for attention, making you feel suffocated in your own home," reiterated the sorcerer, condescension dripping from his voice. Now towering over the 7:3 sorcerer, Gojo continued, "If you hate her so much, why don't we just get rid of her? You've already condemned her to death when you asked Yaga to give her more missions. So why not make it easier for everyone and just let me-"
"STOP!" cried Nanami as he slammed his desk. "I swear to everything, Satoru, touch her and I promise I'll never forgive you!" His heart was racing. He couldn't believe what the man before him was suggesting. Nanami did not hate you. He hated what you represented.
And much to Nanami's surprise, Gojo returned to his seat with a smirk on his face. "So.. if she's not the problem, what is?"
Nanami sank deeper in his chair. Am I really going to have this conversation with him? With an exasperated breath, he began. "(Y/N) is a good woman. She has been nothing but kind and respectful this whole time. She's made an active effort to get to know me... to try to make this union work."
"But?"
"But, it can't. Or more, I can't." For Nanami Kento, this marriage represented a life-long companionship, a promise to be there for the other till the end. But as a sorcerer who gambles with his life everyday, he couldn't faithfully promise that. "Everyday that I'm with her, she reminds me of the life I can't have. The life I can't give her or anyone else for that matter. She deserves more... she deserves--"
"Better," Gojo finished sorrowfully. Gojo loved and hated this aspect of Nanami's personality, his selflessness. "Kento, you do realize that she's in the same position as you. Worse actually because of you." Nanami flinched at that. "If you can't be there for her, who will?" And with that, the older sorcerer stood up and left the room.
Nanami hated that Gojo had a point.
-- -- --
"Oh, hi (Y/N)," the 7:3 sorcerer announced. He was exiting his office when he caught you in the hallway doing the same. After his conversation with Gojo, he realized he needed to do better. "You're done with today?"
"Umm, yeah. Just finished," you shared. You seemed hesitant to speak to your husband. You stayed by your door, bags in hand, almost waiting for him to leave.
"I just finished too. We can ride home together... if you want?" He knew you missed this as you always seemed down whenever you told him not to wait up for you. Your eyes widened in surprise after he finished his question. Nanami wasn't sure why, but decided to ignore it. Maybe she's tired.
You nodded your head and followed Nanami to his car. Instead of your normal chatty self, you were quiet. The missions are probably catching up to her. Tomorrow, I'll ask Yaga to assign her on less mission. Hopefully that helps.
As he left the school, he noticed the bags on your lap and recognized the logo. Trying to stir conversation, he asked if they're from that bakery he mentioned the other night.
"Huh?" you asked as you turned your attention away from the window and now to your husband. He asked again, feeling slightly bad that he interrupted you from your thoughts.
"Oh yeah. I went after my mission today, but I didn't have a chance to try it," you admitted.
"Great choice. I love that place," he shares. You just hum in agreement, letting the the engine fill the silence once again.
-- -- --
"Nanami, can we talk?" The question caught Nanami off guard.
After arriving home, you headed straight to your room, letting Nanami know to eat without you as you weren't feeling great. You even offered him one of the sandwiches you bought today. Now as he took his last bite, you suddenly popped out with such a weighted question.
Swallowing, Nanami nodded his head. He felt a little shy in your presence as he was still dressed while you had changed into your pajamas, a matching top and shorts set. Despite being tired, you still managed to look put together.
You took the seat to his side. You looked unsure, almost scared to have whatever conversation you both were about to have. You took in a deep breath and looked straight in his eyes.
“I know you’re not happy that you married me,” you began. Nanami choked on his food. He was not expecting that at all. You gently hit his back, helping him to not choke. “Hey don’t worry. I’m not mad. I completely understand why,” you assure him. You throw him a soft smile.
Nanami felt his cheeks warm. Fuck, I didn’t think it was obvious. It didn’t help that you grabbed his hand to ease his embarrassment. He should be soothing you, not the other way around.
You continued, “so I was thinking about it and I think we should open up our marriage, you know, see other people.” You dropped your gaze, shy now to look him in the eye.
“What?”
You let go of his hand and look up again. “I know, crazy but hear me out! You don’t want to be married to me and I just have to be married to a sorcerer here. So what if I somehow convince someone else to marry me instead? It might be a hassle but if I can say it’s love or something like that, maybe I can convince the higher ups to allow it. That way you can go on with your life and I can keep my end of the deal!” By the end of your spiel, you seemed hopeful, almost excited by the idea. Nanami hadn’t seen you this happy in awhile.
“Is this what you want?” At this point, Nanami had already failed you as a companion and husband. If this would make your circumstances slightly better, the least he can do is get out of your way. Even better, he could help you find a suitable partner.
“Yes.”
It seems like Nanami was going to help you find a new husband.

I love talking about Geto because he’s the type of character that has so much discourse around his nature that it makes him even more interesting. It just makes you want to analyse and dissect him to know what he really is.
Some people see him as pure evil that just needed an opportunity to reveal itself as such, while others see him as a complete and total victim who sunk into darkness because Gojo “failed” him. Then you have those who see he’s a fully grey character whose story is one of exploitation (even after his death).
When you leave that side of the conversation and dive into another subject you have those who project hypermasculine traits on him because that’s probably what they’re attracted to in real life, those who see him as woman lite and those who understand that it’s a little bit more complicated than that. Though Gege uses several tropes and traits that are usually associated with female characters or femininity in general (which is such an interesting thing to do to be honest. It adds so much flavour to the character and solidifies his partnership with Gojo who’s supposed to be the pinnacle of masculinity but also does it in a way that is truly HIS), he remains a full fledged male character the author has worked really hard on in a way that makes him not a plot device at all. That’s a privilege he certainly got cause he’s a male character tbh. Not everyone had that chance (ahem). Anyways. What was I talking about? I think it’s brilliant that Gege added such great nuance to his back story, the way he presents, the way he expresses himself and his masculinity (Not one dimensional, soft even, despite being a very powerful man), the way he loves and hates, the themes and motif he represents, that he can be analysed in so many ways. Everything about him gives fluidity (funny for someone who sees the world in black and white).
Maybe he’s a little bit too human.

I love that theory! I like to think yuji and Sukuna will coexist like Angel and Hana! Maybe yuji will become a fire fighter and summon Sukuna to help him from time to time
I unironically think the only way sukuna can be saved is if he loses.
Sorry for a late answer anon. My answer got lengthier considering 268.
Angel/Hana and Yuta/Rika coexist. If they can, why can't Sukuna/Yuuji? Especially considering now that we know killing one is killing the other, that they share practically everything and that– despite not being able to share memories (which is alright because to Yuuji people exist outside of that)– it still works for them.
They are an anomaly when it comes to what we know. Despite being polar opposites, literally "hating" each other, Yuuji and Sukuna had coexisted quite successfully. Unlike Hana/Angel, they do not worry nor warn each other over anything yet they still survive, and unlike Yuta/Rika, even if separated, they are still able to use each other's techniques (Sukuna can still go through other people's memories and talk with them which we know is Yuuji's thing and Yuuji can use Dismantle and is practically like Sukuna– his soul, and by extension Sukuna's, dwells in his fingers.)
They're still tied to each other totally and Yuuji had reached great heights despite the narrative telling us (with Maki/Mai) that twins never do so, unless one of them dies. Also, the whole Gojo and Geto thing, too. Basically opposites are meant to kill each other, never to coexist. Either one must live or they should both die. That is a curse. If Yuuji is to be the breaker of that, then he shouldn't kill off or consume Sukuna (because that would be literally Sukuna's route all over again), but instead coexist with him.
Also, Sukuna disappearing goes against Yuuji's own words. If humans aren't good or bad, and if Sukuna and Yuuji do not represent 'bad versus good', then them dying together, or one living instead of the other, falls flat. jjk never followed what is right or wrong so... Sukuna choosing to live might be a possibility. (Also... considering these two are technically tied together and that death of one is death of the other... maybe Sukuna is still alive.)
And– I almost forgot to mention– Kenjaku and Takaba died together. Considering we didn't get the dying together end with the main villain but rather a second villain, and the fact that these two are forced to coexist via a soul bond (basically), that again gives me hope that Sukuna isn't really, truly dead and that they might actually start anew right now, and not in another life.
The fact that Yuta/Rika's bond was shaken and that his fate is up to chance leaves a lot to imagination, however. As you know, Yuta's a direct parallel of Yuuji whose story got told before his (while Rika, as the Queen of Curses, parallels Sukuna, the King of Curses). He chose to embrace Rika, told us their love was pure, only for him to end up abandoning her in favor of wearing Gojo's body. That panel of her crying over him means that she didn't even realize that Yuta was in Gojo's body, and that because of that (Yuta not wearing the ring which is proof of their love and their coexistence), she believes that he truly died.
I believe what might happen (don't be surprised if it doesn't) is that Sukuna might get reincarnated into Rika, and by extension, wake up in Yuta's body. Call me crazy and delusional but it's a strong possibility. I know the majority will not like this (Yuta fans pls do not start) but it's there and it would be such a Gege thing to do.
Keep in mind that the finger Rika swallowed is apparently Yuuji's own but that could always turn out to be a lie. Still, a more probable explanation is the fact that Yuuji and Sukuna are technically one and the same and hence hurting Yuuji's soul equals to hurting Sukuna's own. By extension, if Yuuji is carrying but a tiny piece of Sukuna within him (the residual in his hands which instead of disappearing might've been eaten by Yuuji wink wink) , it would still be enough for him to awaken in his finger and overpower a curse.
Now, there's also the fact that Sukuna cannot reincarnate (via his finger) into cursed spirits. Rika, however, is no longer a cursed spirit, but merely a curse which Yuta embraces via putting the ring on his finger. The ending of jjk 0 had Gojo explaining that and we also get Yuta and human Rika parting ways.
So! Rika is left without Yuta's connection, Yuta is trapped in Gojo's body (or is just dead) while his own remains an empty husk, and Rika swallowed Yuuji's finger. Sukuna is dead. Or is he? Big plot twist! Sukuna reincarnates via Rika directly into Yuta's body.
If this ends up being true I'm going to laugh lmfao but it's the only open possibility outside of them dying right now and reincarnating later on (plus might be why the cheeky "whats going on with Yuta?" comment is there).
That song one anon pointed out to me (called Why Haven't I Fallen In Love Before?) has these lyrics:
Yes, to compensate for the time I wasn't in love Lately I've been doubly excited After all, it's such a happy love story This is no time for watching TV drama I should have realized sooner That romance is going to be the protagonist My heart is racing, fluttering, pounding…
The music video of this song got shot in the same place where Sukuna's finger is located at so we can assume that it is, by placement, his song.
If you check out the lyrics, it lowkey fits this ending lol. If anything, it's so sappy and romantic that it's making me tear up lmfao. And yes! It is the reversal of the ending of jjk 0, where Yuta parted ways with Rika and stayed with what remained of her, not her (which is literally 268), only to continue living with her as a curse. That's technically the curse/vessel situation Yuuji had with Sukuna.
The way Yuuji's parting words read like a proposal (just like Rika proposed to Yuta) isn't lost to little old me.
Considering they had always been specialz, sukuita could easily own this approach. Considering Yuuji's rather strange words to Sukuna (that he- a curse- is, in fact, a human) and is the one asking Sukuna to live (paralleling Rika) and he got his own body (unlike Rika), it is more than fitting for Sukuna to get his own as a human. It's basically a whole inversion of everything because real love conquers all, doesn't it? It never dies. It has no ending.
Yuuji is the main protagonist but Yuta was considered a main protagonist before Yuuji so it fits that. Also, Sukuna's cleverness could shine again here, with the way he swiftly avoided death via his parallel (the Queen of Curses) and reincarnated into Yuta (effectively ending up in the same spot that Yuuji is now). Two main protagonists. Yuuji is no longer a side character and neither will Sukuna be. They'd be more than just a vessel/curse and wouldn't just repeat history. Instead of hate, they'd be awfully in love. Surviving despite the odds and breaking the cycle.
I should have realized sooner That romance is going to be the protagonist
That is to say: Setting an example and giving real meaning to Yuta's own (wrongfully put) "This is pure love." (because you embrace someone no matter what and if it was pure love, Rika wouldn't part ways with him, would she?)
Ofc Gege could debunk this entire thing. There are 3 chapters till the end after all. Maybe they'll simply let Yuuji consume what remains of Sukuna and let them RIP together.

I have some questions about toji 1. Did megumi's mother die after giving birth or did she die months after having megumi? Megumi's sister is Toji's daughter with another woman or she is Megumi's mother's daughter with another man because she doesn't look anything like Toji like Megumi. Did Toji have another wife? why if he did he doesn't love her like megumi's mother Now I have a difficult question. If gojo had given money to toji so he wouldn't kill amanai and gojo would he have accepted it if the amount was bigger? Thank you for answering our questions and happy new year 💫
I'm not sure but lots of headcanons suggest that she was alive for a while and didn't die immediately. I think she knew she was dying or getting close to it because she told Toji something like "you have to take care of him", so I'm guessing maybe there were some complications after the birth, or maybe she got sick afterwards?
I'm pretty sure Tsumiki is unrelated to both Toji and Mamaguro. From what I'm seeing, Tsumiki is fully unrelated by blood to the Fushiguro/Zen'in. Tsumiki's mother had her with another man, and then she married Toji later. Megumi and Tsumiki are step-siblings.
I have a feeling, maybe, that Toji married Tsumiki's mom for convenience- his trivia says he moved from woman to woman for money- very sugar baby of him, so Tsumiki's mom probably had a bunch of money or access to it.
I think Toji would have laughed in Gojo's face if Gojo offered that deal. Inside, he would be deeply offended and angered. He took on the Amanai case initially because of the money, but it became personal when he saw that Gojo was involved. Toji hates Gojo. Maybe not the person, but everything he represents. Toji has done everything he can to live far away from the ideals of sorcerers and the Zen'in clan. Gojo is a sharp reminder of his lack of Cursed Energy & CT. Defeating Gojo is important in a) showing the jujutsu society they ain't shit b)proving that he's going to be the strongest despite their nonsense. Toji values his pride and strength over money or mission. He didn't NEED to attack Geto, he could've ran away, he didn't. He could've just incapacitated Gojo instead of straight up killing him but he attacked to KILL. Gojo offering him money would be worse than a slap in his face. It'd be like, idk, dunking cow dung on his head or something. The most powerful, richest sorcerer, showing off his strength and wealth like a spoilt brat looking down on him from above. How fucking audacious. So nah, I think he'd probably just kill them and say he'll take the cash later or something. I'm not a Toji expert I rarely think about him as a character so idk but this is what I think.

Need a Nanami fix? I can help with that!
Anyways, do you ever just stop and think about how fascinating Nanami is as a character? How well written he is?
Gojo, Geto, and Nanami each represent a person hurt by the system who dealt with it in different ways. Gojo tries to fix it from inside, Geto wants to dismantle it completely, and Nanami divorced himself from the system.
Even Gege confirmed Nanami understood why Geto did what he did (and if I'm remembering correctly, he still referred to him as "Geto-San," showing there was still some respect on his end)
Nanami understood because he also felt the pain and frustration Geto did. He lost his best friend, Haibara, in a horrific manner. He understood the moment he died that the system was broken, propping up children as soldiers to die young in an endless fight against curses.
He even echoes that to Yūji later. "Being a child isn't a sin." He didn't want another child to be swept up in the same system he was victimized by. He felt very strongly about his responsibility as an adult to protect Yūji.
It speaks volumes of his character to be so traumatized while also being self-aware enough to not want the same to happen to the next generation.
And what fascinates me even more is that he came back to the Jujutsu World. Not because he thought it was good (he explicitly says "it's shit,") but because it was a job where he thought he could do the most good for others.
For someone as stonefaced as Nanami can be, he's incredibly kind. He's willing to shoulder the burdens of others to ensure people suffer as little as possible, even when it means he has to return to a system he hates.
No wonder Gege said Nanami was his favorite ♡
Midnight, you are so good at character analyses, it is truly inspiring 💕
Nanami is such a special character bc he has so much trauma and could've easily gone down a bad path and become evil or been depressed forever but instead he was shaped into a caring individual with a cold exterior, one who pretends he doesn't care bc if he gets too close then he may go through the same traumatic experience as Haibara, someone who despite everything still wants to help people and let people enjoy their lives.
Anyways, he's my dream man, i want to give him the love he deserves 😞💕

A Little in Love
Summary: Having broken off your engagement for an arranged marriage with him, your relationship is in shreds. As you and Gojo begin as friends again, he wonders if he ever fell out of love for you. Has he?
Notes: Gojo Satoru is good-looking, all powerful and beyond good at his job. I’ve always wanted to explore something he struggles with
Gojo Satoru  x reader
Multi-fandom Masterlist || HQ Masterlist || Ao3 version
Genre: ANGST AND PINING, exes to friends to ??, commitment issues lol (wc: 1.3k) tw: mention of blood, infedelity-ish
“Are you sure you’re not in love with them?”
That question wipes the smile off Gojo Satorou’s face.
Tonight’s dinner was unexpected. You ran into Shoko Ieri, Jujutsu Kaisen’s resident doctor and Gojo Satoru just as your work day ended. One thing led to another and the three of you ended up in a soba place not too far from Jujutsu Tech. When you excused yourself to use the washroom Ieri-san grabs the chance to ask the burning question on her mind.
“So whats the answer? You’re awfully quiet.”
“We’re not engaged anymore. That ship has sailed.” he waves his hand dismissively.
Ieri rolls her eyes. All throughout dinner, Gojo was teasing you, offering you food, playing light pranks at you just like he was when you were teenagers. The way he looked at you was enough to tick any off about how he feels.
She retorts, “You can try again now that you’re adults. You’re allowed to make a go at a love match.”
Gojo’s relationship with you is…complicated. You two were arranged to be married when you were children, but had broken up as teenagers.
Gojo looks contemplative, his hands clasped together.
“I’ve thought about it.” he sighs, “And I think about it every time we meet, but—I don’t think I’m the type to commit and they need a commitment type. It’s not a match.” Ieri scowls on your behalf.
During your time at Jujutsu Tech, he simultaneously wanted to give your relationship a shot but hated the restrictions set on him. In the end, it was all too much. Both of you begged your families to break off the engagement.
Your teenage years with him were confusing. Were you really in love or those feelings fabricated by the arranged marriage? If the marriage wasn’t a love match anyway, why did it hurt to see Gojo flirt with someone else?
Gojo remembered one of your early confrontations when you were 16 and he was 17.
“It’s difficult to be engaged to you.” you expressed, exasperated.
When you started school at Jujutsu Tech however, something changed. Gojo didn’t want to be seen around you. He was always flirting with others behind your back. You can’t even have a proper conversation with him alone.
During your second year, you finally stood up to him.
“No, it’s not.” he rolled his eyes, “You don’t even have to pretend that you like me.”
It worried you that he definitely couldn’t be faithful and it hurt you that he couldn’t even spare time to properly talk with you.
You sighed and looked left and right. It’s had been ten minutes. You were still standing outside his dorm room and he has not intention of letting you in.
“It’s not about that!” you exclaimed, annoyed, “I know you don’t like being engaged to me, which is fine—“
“It doesn’t sound fine,” he snorts, crossing his arms. He tries to drown the sound of your voice from the surrounding cicadas.
“—if you weren’t such an asshole,” you continued, “But can you at least treat me with more respect. Everybody knows we’re engaged. Neither of us want to be in arranged marriage so all I’m begging you to do is to —“
He shrugs, “No promises.”
He could see anger light beneath your eyes. Out of the darkness of the night, a silver flicker brushes by his side. You were seething, despite being barely illuminated by the light of the corridor bulbs.
You had drawn out a dagger at him. You! His kind, patient fiancee. It happened so fast he almost didn’t dodge.
“I missed on purpose. Don’t you get complacent.” you muttered, turning away.
Gojo was surprised to see tears running down your face. You’ve never looked so upset. It catches him off guard.
“I’m sorry,” was all he had to utter. He wasn’t even sure you heard him because you had already begun walking away. You had drawn the blade, but in reality it was you that was hurting and he the trespasser.
He shakes his head at Ieri and continues, “I don’t want to hurt them again. It was bad enough when our engagement fell apart.”
He didn’t mean to hurt you then of course. It was harsh to expect commitment out of a teenager who wasn’t ready, but you were still in pain.
Ieri sizes him up in the dim lighting of the diner. Gojo likes to be in control. He likes to be the one to set traps. It’s interesting to see him be the captive for once.
“You haven’t answered my question.” she presses.
Gojo’s fingers tense up.he gives in just a bit, “I’ll always be a little in love with them. Maybe because I was obligated to for so long.”
“And that’s not enough though, because they deserve more” he quickly adds.
“Can’t you change? Sounds like you’re afraid to try.” she sighs.
Gojo is quiet once again.
“Don’t wait for them to be in love with someone else before you realize that you want to be with them. I’d hate for you to be too late.” she warns, glancing towards you as you walk back to the table.
He looks away from Ieri. You sit back down in front of him.
He feels his heart swell and hurt at the same time. You’ve always represented a jumble of contradictions for him: someone to love and someone who represents traditions he hates.
“Did I miss something?” you ask, sensing the tension.
“No, nothing.” he denies, his voice purposely lightening to cover his mood.
“Well, why does everyone look so serious?” you perkily ask.
Gojo briefly glances at you. His shoulders relax and he sits back into his seat. After all these years, it’s still so easy to be swayed by your bright eyes.
“I was just about to call for another drink.” Ieri clears her throat.
“Me, too.” he adds.
You look at him carefully, a tinge of worry in your eyes. You don’t say anything though. Not now. This is between you and him. It’s a matter outside of your friendship with Ieri.
“You can have my drink.” you offer to him, eyes locked onto his.
Sensing your stare, he turns back at you, glad that his bandages cover his vulnerability. He’s not sure he can take it if you saw how deeply conflicted he was about his feelings. As he continues to look, recognition dawns on him.
In another universe, you could be married right now. You’d be having dinner, just the two of you, sitting across each other like this. In another world, maybe you wouldn’t have known each other at all. This moment feels like purgatory. He’s somewhat in love, just a little and you’re not his in a way that feels real.
You push your drink into his hands. Ieri looks away to give you a semblance of privacy. Gojo finally takes the drink.
It feels strange for the man who has everything, to know he only has a little bit of you.

philosophy of “moving forward”
Human civilization as a whole is something that always changing. Culture as part of civilization construct adapts and evolves together with human who creates it. In the evolution of ancient to modern culture, believe in myth and words of mouth on the nature of unknown things changes gradually to studying them using science; in this science is the driving force of culture change and the old believe is the opposing force.
A subtle theme that slowly surfacing is the clash of old tradition to the new, more progressive thinking. Old tradition and rules are opposed and changes are happening gradually - and while it’s been bubbling for long, it's now culminated in one controversial life of Itadori Yuuji.
the old and rotting : the Great Three Families
One of main undertones during student fights in the Kyoto exchange goodwill arc is how old jujutsu tradition underlined to be contrasting with the more modern principles most Tokyo students follows. This especially prominent in the fights of Momo vs Kugisaki and Fushiguro vs Kamo, and secondary drive in Maki vs Mai.
Tumblr media
In one of elite jujutsushi bloodline, the Zen’in family, perfection is a must.  “Possessing inherited curse technique of Zen’in family”. Other than that, they are failure in starting life as jutsushi. Even among them, women are not allowed to stand in the starting line.
Looking at these alone, it implies on how old tradition put manifesting inherited technique among anything else and especially the discrimination towards women. It reflects the view in our real history, where women used to be banned from doing works and jobs considered masculine -- a view that has largely abandoned since women rights to be in the same level with men gained approval worldwide.
Momo’s saying this to Kugisaki is not wrong per se, since she herself probably experiences this; emphasizing Kugisaki’s naivety to old tradition that a lot of jujutsushi still largely follow. Kugisaki herself is also not in the wrong; she’s someone who puts her ego over everything - she has her own individualistic view that keeps her apart as her own person.
Tumblr media
Another view of old tradition is the bloodline over everything else. It’s understandable if you consider the way they prized inherited technique over everything. To ensure that the inherited technique can manifest along the bloodline, one of the way is to keep the bloodline ‘pure’, to say. That’s why marriage among blood relation is probably the norm, even though the only clue of this is Naoya in the latest chapter, who considers which one of the twin is “good”, further emphasizing how little women is respected in this household.
Tumblr media
Ironically in bloodline with a lot of inbreeding, it’s not the strength that is accumulated, but rather the weakness. For example, in Habsburg dynasty who used to rule Europe in the past, their long history of inbreeding caused their offspring to manifest a lot of genetic disorder - one of which is a physical disability named as their own, Habsburg jaw. Charles II of Spain was the most famous example of this. As a result of inbreeding along the Habsburg bloodline, Charles II inherited a lot of genetic disorders including the Habsburg jaw. He was even know as “the Bewitched” because of his appearance.
In line with this are Kamo Noritoshi and Fushiguro Megumi, who were born not out of inbreeding, but possessing the inherited technique of their respective clan. Noritoshi manifests Blood manipulation technique despite being a mistress’s son. While we don’t know Megumi’s mom, it is implied that she was a normal person since Touji had left the Zen’in and would be hard-pressed if he was to marry a woman from the same bloodline since he hated the clan. And I would not be surprised if Satoru is revealed actually to be a mistress son too in the future.
As if to condemn this believe, Heavenly Restriction sometimes manifest in these clan. Touji and Maki are bound with restriction of having reduced curse energy in exchange of superhuman strength. If you think about it, superhuman strength is actually way more effective weapon to be used in exorcising curse than innate curse technique that is usually simpler and weaker. All they need is some cursed tools to use. But of course, old tradition condemns them since barehanded, both Touji and Maki can’t exorcise curses.
Tumblr media
Women being lesser than men, bloodline purity and inherited technique obsession, twins being bad omen, and the heavenly restriction being a viewed as a curse rather than a gift -- all of the believe that composed the old tradition is actually more harmful for the jujutsushi society as a whole. Theirs is an industry who is always chronically short-handed, so you would think that if there are more people available to do the job is better. But they don’t think so just because of outdated tradition. And Zenin Naoya is created as the poster child of it. He embodies everything old that Gojo Satoru discards and loathes.
education as driving force : Kyoto vs Tokyo
Tumblr media
Back in vol 0, Getou calls Kyoto to be holy land of jujutsu and Shinjuku, Tokyo to be crucible of curses, where large number of curses can be found.
If we look over the history of these two places, it’s quite reasonable. Kyoto used to be the old capital of Japan, used to be named Heian. As we know, Heian period when Kyoto was designated as Japan capital is known as jujutsu golden age, when jujutsu developed rapidly, curses ran amok, and Sukuna trumped over everyone as the King of curses. We still don’t know where each of Great Families (Osanke) designated locations, but as the remaining of old capital, it is actually not surprising if the Osanke is located mainly in Kyoto, especially the Zen’in and Kamo. This also implies in Naoya speaking Kansai dialect and how Kyoto school shaped.
Tumblr media
The influence of old tradition is prominent in Kyoto Jujutsu school. First, most of the students are somehow connected to jujutsu families. Noritoshi is Kamo clan’s heir. Mai is one of the Zen’in. Momo with her way of speaking seems also to be raised in a jujutsu family. Kokichi has Heavenly restriction which we know is inherited among children of jujutsu clan. Other than them, Toudou and Miwa seem to be not from jujutsu clan, but they are probably admitted because of influence of their mentors - and the two of them have different mindset compared to the rest of the students.
Second, when the Kyoto principal asked the students to kill Yuuji during exchange meetings, the four agreed to it readily since that’s how their custom dictates. Todo did not like that idea and Miwa is reluctant, but she still goes along. However she then apologizes to Tokyo students via Maki.
Tumblr media
Contrasting to Kyoto school, the Tokyo school is a bit departed from old jujutsu custom. Most of the students are not affiliated with jujutsu families. Maki and Megumi does have Zen’in blood, but the two of them hate the clan and everything it represents. We still have not much information on Toge and Inumaki clan in general. This also applies to students in previous generation too. Nanami, Haibara, Getou; the three of them are not from jujutsu families. Gojou is from one of the Osanke, but he loathes their custom and tradition, which might  be his main motivation to go to Tokyo school. Other than them, we still don’t know about Mei Mei, Shoko, and Utahime.
If I have to name one main characteristics that drive Tokyo school foundation is that they learn. Different from Kyoto whose philosophy influenced largely by traditional value set in stone, Tokyo school learns from mistake, learns how the era changes, learns how jujutsu changes so that they can be more humane, then develops to be an unique entity. This is largely due to Yaga’s influence.
Tumblr media
But because of him (Itadori), there are certainly lives that was saved. In fact this time he cooperates with Todo to drive away the special-grade (curse spirit). This is not limited on the students, but after this they will accumulate a lot of regrets. Aah, I should have done that, I wanted it to be like this. Aah, I should have said it, I wanted to say it.
Tumblr media
Whether the decision regarding Itadori is correct, truthfully I don’t know. But for now, how about we watch over him?
Yaga Masamichi is one great educator. Rather than binding them to the existing tradition, he let the students have their own view and act responsibly. This is the wisdom that build the foundation and general philosophy of Tokyo school. And his view influence Gojo, who used to be his student, in teaching the new generation. For example this; when he asks of  Megumi’s opinion of what they should do with Yuuji. And because of it, they bends an existing law to let Yuuji alive; a very blatant opposition to old custom.
Tumblr media
In addition, Gojo rather tends and teaches the new generation despite wants to kill the upper management; this might also largely because of Yaga’s influence. The two of them accumulate the same regret from the incident that makes Getou to stray and learn from it -- and that regret is what shapes the learning and teaching in Tokyo school in the current time.
Tumblr media
While the two seemingly cut from the same clothes, Tokyo school can afford to be different from their Kyoto counterpart in their teaching because of several things. First is their location. As the capital was moved from Kyoto to Tokyo, Tokyo’s population grows. More human means more negative emotion, meaning the curses also evolved to be stronger. The reason why Getou called Shinjuku the crucible of curses is because Shinjuku is red-light district, where negative emotion is probably the strongest, making curses found there also stronger than any other place. As their enemy grows stronger, jujutsushi themselves also needs to be stronger than them to be able to exorcise them. In addition, the school is where Master Tengen planted his root so to speak, and they also need the strength to protect him too. They can’t afford old tradition to weaken and hold them back, so the Tokyo jujutsushi’s thinking start to depart from old custom. The second reason is because of Gojo; that in itself is self-explanatory.
All in all, education as a whole system is not only designed to merely giving knowledge, but also to give the young the necessities so they can develop into a proper member of society. Good education system adapts to the current era and relevant view on the development of society. In the real world, modern society aligns largely with science, so science and its philosophy are integrated as fundamental parts of modern education system. And character building is also important as part of the system -- for example being critical, to be curious and question things, is an important traits to have because human curiosity is what makes us study things we don’t understand and makes science develops in the first place -- subsequently modernize human society as a whole.
But of course, it’s all not without repercussion. Since old tradition still prevails and holds tightly by the authority, it’s no wonder that Tokyo school is now facing difficulty after the chaos that is Shibuya.

┃𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 : well... I decided to do a little headcanons on Gojo and his crush in elementary school-
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
Tumblr media
⌇ 𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐔 ❜
❛❛ Satoru, turn around.❜❜
❛❛ Hell no. I ain't in your shit. ❜❜
At ten, Satoru was already really insolent, he knew it and even did it on purpose. His hands in the pockets of his sweater which he had put under the blazer of that old-fashioned uniform - breaking the rules -, he was leaning against the wall of the classroom, looking at his teacher like he was the one wrong here, which wasn't so much a lie.
He was punished again. Condemned to remain against the wall if the classroom, back to everyone. But he decided, as usual, to not follow all the conditions. And it made the boys laugh, made the girls like him.
But that wasn't what he wanted. He just wanted you to watch him, however... you didn't care. Gojo Satoru was just another idiot to you, a clown. At first he was surprised. Everyone was looking at him except you. He didn't like it.
It's stupid because for a while now, he fell in love with you. Not because you were (Last Name) (Your Name) and your family was rich, with a great history, and very powerful. It would be not to know him to think like that. He loves you because you are different.
One day, while he was skipping school, he saw you in the company of your big sister, who would soon become the head of your family. She was not living it well, it was obvious. And now, he was shaking and crying in your arm, and you still had that stoic face, like it didn't matter. But what you said immediately changed his mind.
You frowned for a moment, a hint of worry in your eyes, and said in the calm seven-year-old voice that you had :
❛❛ Don't worry, big sister. I will save you. Adults are selfish. They don't think about our happiness and rely on us thinking that we are like them. I hate them. We are the future, so why do they act like we don't matter? We children are the ones who represent the future, it's our turn to decide in what kind of world we want to grow up. ❜❜
Even your big sister was shocked. You, who were so calm and approved of everything your parents told you to do, were actually at odds with society? Unbelievable.
Satoru was charmed, and this charm persisted for three years, which brings us back to today. It pisses him off that you have that image of him, but it wasn't like he was doing something for change that.
But you were strange too. Despite this speech, you still acted like the very good little girl who listened to everything you said to her. You didn't have any friends, just admirers who saw you as a feminine person and a cold little beauty. It was a little sad.
Lost in thoughts, he didn't notice the professor until he yelled in his face.
❛❛ WHEN WILL YOU LISTEN TO ME, KID! ❜❜
❛❛ Hey, don't talk so loud, old man... I'm going to have a heart attack. How would I do when I grow up if you destroy me now? ❜❜
he swore to detect a tiny smile on the corner of your lips, and after that nothing mattered, not even threats from his teacher.
during the choir, he did everything to find himself next to you, because he knew that you had to hold hands with your neighbors. and then ... he could hear your clear voice, it was rare.
he made sure you saw him singing out of tune on purpose, or playing backing tracks. if before, you didn't watch it, today seemed different. you smiled slightly, before sing again. it wasn't much, but it was enough.
in the corridors, when you lined up two by two, he held out his hand to you, blushing and looking away.
at noon, he would come to eat with you, claiming to have no one to eat with when he had to reject a dozen people before reaching you.
at recess, instead of playing soccer with his friends, or doing some bullshit to get attention, he comes up to you, even if it's boring because you just read.
❛❛ Satoru, why did you stay with me today? You lined up with me, and you even want to take me home ... Why? ❜❜
❛❛ I should be the one asking why! Why are you acting like a docile dog when you were right ?! We are the future! It's our turn to decide! Let's be friends, let's stay side by side and change this fucking world! ❜❜
You didn't answer. Blood stained your cheeks, and no sound came out of your mouth. It was cute for him. With a smirk, he leaned down to kiss your forehead, and with a wink, he left. but not without shouting:
❛❛ Don't fall in love with me that fast, huh?! ❜❜
That moron didn't even take you home.

i do think gojo saying these little sexist comments time to time is to show that he’s still an byproduct of the system? like he still grew up from this system, and honestly, he comes from privileged status as well, it’s honestly surprising that someone as privileged as him could be a little humbled? (i know humble and gojo could not fit in the same sentence but please let me explain) like he still recognized womens as actual humans, he’s a revolutionary person who wants change, gojo has strong morals and he cares a lot actually, (i hate how this part is overlooked because of his surfaced personality? like gojo is a emotional person, whether you think or not, he just hides or mask his emotions a lot, like remember the time he got really pissed that one of the higher-ups tried to kill yuji, like to the point of gojo even considering to kill the higher-ups in the heat of the moment, despite gojo only knowing yuji for two weeks (i think) gojo cares a lot about yuji and theres this conversation with nanami about yuji, and that confrontation with geto, gojo could absolutely not go because that would have been ooc for gojo, gojo has strong morals and he’s not the type of person to exchange these morals or to lose these morals, regardless of the reason) but he was born and raised up from an world does not equate to what gojo represents as a person, so gojo, whether he likes it or not, is going to represent the way how the higher ups are doing, even if it’s in the littlest of ways possible, it’s just because of the environment he’s been raised in, there’s a post somewhere explaining it much better than what i am doing lol, also akutani said that one of the endings will be that the one of the four (nobara, megumi, yuji, and gojo) will die, i honestly do think nobara will come back, like if she actually died, they would have let her died right where yuji was standing, to give more of an dramantic effect, then and there and her arc still hasn’t closed despite her having some character development in her final moments, also megumi is said to surpass gojo as well, he’s also the zenin leader right now, i do believe that he will be the leader that like ultimately pushes pass through and becomes the one who will ultimately lead them through this change and yuji not dying is something i believe won’t happen because it’s due to his character arc, i believe instead of finding worth in dying, he will find worth in living, and also he will probably find reason again, yuji says he does not need reason and that he is a cog, i think this will ultimately break yuji down just like it did to geto because they are both extremely caring people, but i also think that’s where the line stops because unlike geto, yuji actually does have a support system, and so i will think that he will find a positive reason again, in a more healthy form, mostly because if you take helping people away from yuji, then he isn’t really yuji
and his grandpa, wasuke “wa” is the same kanji for one of the letters of yamato, which was the name of japan before the the heian period i think and i think one of the kanji of wasuke means to help, so it literally means to help japan, so it could foreshadow what yuji might do and also wasuke literally says this to yuji before he dies, this observation isn’t actually mine, i found this out through an youtube comment, and also an interesting note that i found is that none of them borned conventionally in the jujutsu world except for gojo? like megumi was born outside of it due to gojo, yuji was a normal kid, and nobara was born in the countryside, never really feeling the real extension of what the jujutsu world really was, all except gojo, who was raised in the jujutsu world first hand who i think gojo will be the one who will die, honestly because remember when maki destroyed everything? i feel like every remnants of the past will be destroyed, including gojo, and they could rebuild the jujutsu world? because with the system they have right now, i don’t really think they can change it because it’s been an thousands of years and the system remains the exact same, so in order to even bring change, they most destroy it, but that’s honestly a little theory of mine, i wanna know what you think about this!
also i love your theories and analysis a lot! it’s fine if you disagree with this personally haha, and so sorry for this long post, i just rambled lolol, so you don’t have to read this haha, hope you have a nice day! take care please! and stay safe (:
Hello, dear
I don’t have a problem with the extent of the message, but I’m not sure if you are making a general comment on jjk or answering to something I wrote.
I do agree that Satoru is an ethical person and he is emotional. I have some posts about that x, x, I don’t agree with the interpretation that understands him as having a facade to hide his feelings. Satoru is very open with his feelings with people he trusts, like the rest of people he won't show his emotions to people he doesn’t trust or his own enemies. Plus, people show different sides of themselves according to the situation, that is normal.
About his possible death, I have written about that here.
I’m not sure how you understand those posts of him having misogynist comments. Every person is socialized in a culture and that culture is constituent part of what they are, people can take distance from the cultural system they were born in but they won’t ever eradicate that influence completely. Satoru, like the rest of us, will show in some small behaviors or comments that influence. Regarding misogyny, that doesn’t mean he is a misogynistic person, it means he hasn’t fully deconstructed patriarchy on him.
About Nobara, I believe if she was alive she would have showed up, but as you say isn’t that sure if she is dead. To me she is dead and alive until her status is clarify, Schrodinger Nobara lol
I believe we agree in almost everything.
You can come to my askbox whenever you want, sweetie. Sorry if this answer is late. Have a nice day ♥

Megumi and Toji
Tumblr media
Megumi knows almost nothing about his father, his early memories are of being abandoned. His only family is Tsumiki as far as he’s concerned. It’s clear he doesn’t regard himself as a Zenin, or Toji’s son. He doesn’t even recognize Toji when they meet again briefly. However, though Megumi’s not even aware of it there’s a lot of story parallels between father and son. Toji serves as a cautionary tale of what Megumi could become if he does not grow up and learn to handle his emotions properly. MORE UNDER THE CUT.
1. Inherited Trauma
I don’t know if you’ve noticed this yet, but the Zenin family definitely has issues. They exclude anything which does not fit their arbitrary standards as an outsider. We don’t really know Toji’s backstory. We don’t have to know either, it obviously doesn’t excuse his actions. However, we see the after-effects of him being thrown out and scapegoated by his own family by the time we see him in the hidden inventory arc. Not only that, but from the clan’s treatment of Maki, we can theorize a little ibt of what Toji has been through.
Tumblr media
Maki and Toji were both born without cursed energy and labeled as defective and wrong because of it. It’s clear both of them developed bad, hostile, even downright violent personalities in order to cope with a home environment that was constantly hostile to them.
Tumblr media
In Maki’s case, it’s not that Maki is a hateful person it’s that she’s conditioned not to accept any kind of love because she was never shown the unconditional love of a family she was owed. When Yuta tries to accept her, Maki rejects him because she doesn’t know what that feeling of acceptance and security is like if it’s unearned. She ties it to strength, she has to be stronger than the Zenin clan, she has to prove she’s better than them and that they were wrong about her in order to earn it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maki is so busy trying to reject everything that the Zenin clan stands for, that she can’t really accept other people’s feelings at all positive or negative. She’s too busy thinking about herself, protecting about herself, trying not to hate herself that even the feelings of Mai who loves her, but in a more complicated way is something she can’t accept. She doesn’t want to think about mai’s feelings because she’s too busy with her own, Mai is an afterthought to her.
Maki has a complicated way of dealing with the abuse of the Zenin family, and I assume Toji did too. The only difference is that Toji is an adult, whereas Maki is still an adolescent. Toji was set in his ways, Maki is still in the middle of changing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji is labeled as “the one who is left behind, the one who is free”, it’s very likely especially considering the way he treats Megumi and distances himself from anyone related to him, that Toji’s way of dealing with the Zenin family was to simply reject all of it. He couldn’t accept the hatred of his family, but at the same time he also couldn’t accept any kind of positive emotions too, like love between a father and son. It’s likely Toji can’t even accept the idea of having a family, or the unconditional love of a family because he’s never had it - not that any of that is Megumi’s fault.
Toji grew up completely isolated from his own family until he was eventually thrown out, and he probably had no idea how to raise a family, but he turned around and inflicted those same circumstances on Megumi. Toji grows up alone, Toji makes Megumi grow up alone because he fails to provide for him as a father.
Tumblr media
Toji deliberately made a choice to throw out Megumi along with the rest of his family trauma, that’s his self reflection upon the moment of death. He wanted to throw away everything and live for hismelf, but he threw away Megumi too.
However, from Meugmi’s perspective his father gave him the name ‘Megumi’ and left. Apparently Toji was around so little that Megumi doesn’t even recognize his face whent hey meet again as a teenager. He married Tusmiki’s mom, got a divorce, and presumably left Megumi there.
Tumblr media
Megumi grew up with no idea of what a family was, except for his step sister, and also completely isolated from others. He grew up with the same sense of isolation and distance from his family that Toji did, lacking totally in the unconditional love a child needs from his parents in order to grow up, because Toji was never even around for Megumi. Megumi just by default assumes that his father either didn’t love him, or just plain forgot about him.
2. Like Father, Like Son.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, despite the fact Toji wasn’t even around to raise his son, Megumi turned out a lot like Toji. There’s a lot of parallels between father and son, probably because as stated above Megumi grew up in isolated circumstances, completely cut off, never truly receiving the parental love or guidance that he needed to help him mature into a emotionally healthy adolescent able to process his feelings and handle them properly.
Both Megumi and Toji respond to their emotional trauma in the same way, by suppressing themselves and all their feelings, and rejecting the feelings of everyone around him. Megumi isn’t even able to hear the news that his dad died, because he insists that already in first grade, he doesn’t care about his dad or even want him around.
Tumblr media
This is you know, a lie of course. Megumi’s a first grader. All children want a parent. It’s just, Megumi’s way of dealing with his feelings is to just pretend that they’re not there, to pretend he doesn’t care. A first grader is not really mature enough to think of his family situation in these terms, or cope with these feelings. Megumi is simply pretending to be mature as a way of pretending to deal with his hurt feelings.
We as the audience know that Megumi is a deeply caring, and deeply feeling person. However, Megumi himself seesm to be in denial of this fact.
Tumblr media
Megumi’s response to all of thes icky gross feelings he has for people, soft feelings that makes him feel vulnerable because while Megumi cares deeply, circumstances have taught him that people do not care about him, or at least Toji didn’t care enough in Megumi’s eyes to stick around. Megumi’s response is the same as Toji’s, he shuts everyone out, he insists he doesn’t care about anyone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He can’t accept anyone’s feelings because he’s too busy rejecting everyone. He can’t even accept the positive feelings of familial love his sister has for him, he almost begrudges her for it. Tsumiki chose to see him as family, different from Toji who he feels didn’t choose him and Megumi just couldn’t realize that until it was too late. He’s so used to being abandoned and unchosen that he doesn’t know what familial love even looks like in Tsumiki.
Tumblr media
This is also something that Toji does to Megumi. It’s said in a bonus in volume 8 or volume 9 that after the death of Megumi’s mother, Toji insisted that he “stopped caring about everything.” We see this repeat when he’s about to sell Megumi to the Zenin clan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji insists he doesn’t care, while Megumi tries to creep back into his thoughts, and he keeps trying to help him in indirect ways. Toji wishing for a better future for his son than he had, while at the same time, selling him off for the money he plans to gamble away at the race track. Toji forgetting his son’s name, and then remembering it on the brink of death and asking his enemy to do something about it. These are all compeltely contradictory behaviors because Toji has no healthy, adult way of processing his emotions.
He’s just used to pretending he doesn’t care about things, that even when he obviously does care it’s what he keeps falling back on. It’s the same as Megumi’s complex with saving people, he insists he hates people, that he doesn’t want to save them, and then he goes far out of his way to save people like Yuji.
3. Growing Out of Your Father’s Shadow
They process emotions the same way, both insisting that they don’t care about anything around them, the only real difference is their priorities. Toji is a self centered person who prioritizes himself above all others. Megumi’s a self sacrificing person, he’s continually belittling himself for the sake of other people. Megumi belittles himself to the point where he insits he could never be strong enough to challenge Gojo. Being the strongest individual is just never his priority.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji however is someone who climbed to the top of the Jujutsu World to try to prove he could become a better fighter than them without any cursed energy. Megumi is someone who ran away from the challenge of becoming stronger than Gojo, but Toji wanted to prove himself stronger than Gojo so badly he stayed and fought a fight he knew he couldn’t win.
Tumblr media
However, even though their priorities are total opposites, Toji prioritizing himself, and Megumi prioritizing other people above himself they both end up in the same place. They’re both incredibly self destructive people. Toji stayed and fought with Gojo, knowing that he would die. When Megumi is pushed to his limit in Shibuya, rather than try to run away he also sacrifices himself in order to summon Mahoraga in a suicidal move against his opponent. They are even paralleled in the way they’re drawn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the takeaway from all these connections set up between Toji and Megumi is that even though Megumi doesn’t know his father well he’s a lot like him. They both handle their emotions in the same way, insisting that they don’t care when they in fact care deeply. They both repress all of their emotions until they go crazy from it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji literally springs from Megumi’s shadow. The shadow is the symbol of repressed emotions. Emotions that people are conscious of, the ones they acknowledge are usually represented by light, deeper emotions, the ones they repress and refuse to acknowledge are then referred to as the shadow. The brighter the light, the darker the shadow. The more Megumi pretends not to care about his father or his family situation, the deeper the shadow underneath his feet grows.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being underneath your father’s shadow is even a common phrase used to describe people who are unable to escape from their parents, and become their own person. There is a connection between Megumi and his father between Megumi and the Zenin, even if Megumi likes to pretend it’s not there, like when he denies any similarity between himself and Kamo Noritoshi.
A lot of Megumi’s life is dictated by his family circumstances too, he’s just in denial about it. Kamo’s aware to sympathize with people because he’s far more aware fo himself and his family circumstances, Megumi denies sympathizing with other people, because he doesn’t have any sympathy for himself either.
Tumblr media
Zombie Megumi is colored in pure shadow. He’s even referred to as a manifestation of the repressed feelings of the Zenin clan. Those who are restrained by their connection to the Zenin clan, all look in awe at the one who broke free from the Zenin, and free from everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Megumi exhibits the act same behavir as Toji. He suppresses himself, suppresses himself, and suprresses himself and then he just goes crazy. Megumi claims he’s not the strongest, he doesn’t care about being strong, but then he pulls moves like summoning the Mahoraga and Domain Expansion. Megumi just holds himself in until he violently lashes out on everything around him too, he’s hurt feelings waiting to explode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is why Megumi learning more about his father and the connection between them could be a good thing, not because Megumi necessarily owes Toji anything, but that he could learn from Toji’s mistakes. When Megumi sees his own unhealthy behavior exhibited in another, he can learn to accept the things that Toji could not accept. He could learn to accept connections like family, and friednship, before they become chains that hold him down too hard, until he breaks everything and himself trying to be free. Megumi dosen’t have to become the strongest like Gojo, he doesn’t have to surpass or fight against the Zenin clan. He doesn’t have to save everyone in the whole world like Yuji. The best thing for Megumi’s character development would be for him to learn to accept his own feelings and the feelings of others without going crazy. That’s a strength that neither Toji, nor Gojo could never find in themselves.

The Monkey King vs the Budha
Tumblr media
Gojou and Toji are rivals and complete opposites in everything, even in the mythological stories that both of their characters reference. Toji referencing Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) and Gojou representing the Budha himself. I’ll be going over the mythological references in their characters under the cut.
1. Journey to the West
The journey to the west is one of china’s four great classical novels. It’s an ancient allegory for enlightenment. Though not the main character, the first seven chapters are dedicated to Sun Wukong, the monkey king, a trickster type character who made it his mission to disrupt the order of heaven. There’s a very long and simplified summary of the legend, here.
Tumblr media
There are several in story references to the legend. Toji refers to himself as a monkey for not being able to use Jujutsushiki. Toji, much like Sun Wukong is an exile from the heavenly order. In this setting, the analog for heavenly order or the keepers of the peace is Shaman Society as a whole and the four great noble families system.
Toji is the strongest possible a human can get without using Jujutsu Sorcery. If Getou refers to all humans who aren’t sorcerers as monkeys, that makes Toji symbolically king of the monkeys. Son Wukong possessed an immortal body. Toji is brought back from the dead because the special quality of his body won out against the soul when it was transformed.
Tumblr media
Toji also ends up using a bo staff to fight that extends or compresses based on whether or not the four pieces connected by chains are together. Sun Wukong’s most famous and iconic weapon was a staff that could change size.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The staff itself is called ‘playful cloud’, Sun Wukong is also famous for flying on top of a cloud.
Gojou is symbolically the Budha for a separate reason, first he’s a character who revolves around the idea of attaining personal enlightenment. He quotes the Budha himself.
Tumblr media
In Chinese and especially Japanese Buddhism, the statement 天上天下唯我独尊 (Japanese tenjou tenge yui ga dokuson; not sure about the Chinese transliteration), which is typically translated as "On heaven and earth, I alone am honored", is considered to be a well-known statement of the Buddha, spoken when the Buddha first emerged from his mother's womb. The quote is sometimes truncated to just the latter half 唯我独尊 "I alone am honored".
This is specifically a statement that the budha first said when he emerged from his mother’s womb. Gojou is someone shown to be special from the moment he was born.
Tumblr media
In Journey to the West as a result of attaining enlightenment, the budha is one with everything. Gojo’s special ability is seeing everything, into the void because of his six eyes. His territorial expansion is essentially forcing that enlightenment on others, look at the line Jogo uses when caught up in it “I can see everything, I can feel everything!” that’s enlightenment, babeyyy!!!
Tumblr media
In Journey to the West, Sun Wukong fought against the Jade Palace and the Emperor of Heaven, until eventually the Budha was called to settle things with him.
The Budha made a wager with Sun Wukong. If he could successfully jump out of the palm of his hand then he could become the new king of heaven. Sun Wukong jumps off of his hand and makes it all the way to the edge of the universe. He sees five pillars at the end of the universe. He fights grafittis the pillar and then jumps back to the Budha. The budha reveals his hand and shows the same grafitti, as a result of attaining enlightenment the budha is one with everything in the universe therefore no matter where Sun Wukong went he would always be in the palm of his hand. The budha then defeated Sun Wukong and sealed him under a mountain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gojou and Toji fight for similar reasons. Toji could have made his escape but he wants to fight Gojo over his pride to prove that he’s the strongest. Gojo as a result of nearly dying against Toji in their first round, has attained enlightenment and because of that Toji can’t possibly win against him.
2. Opposites Attract
Tumblr media
Gojou and Toji are opposites always meant to oppose one another. Toji eventually became a rogue mercenary who took great pleasure in killing sorcerers to prove his family wrong about him. Gojou is someone who holds basically the entire Jujutsu World on his back and wants to raise other sorcerers to be as strong, or stronger than him. Gojou is the one groomed to be superior from childhood, Toji was made to feel inferior. Gojou uses his power selflessly, almost always making himself a tool for the sake of others. Toji is someone who acted selfishly, for the sake of money, pride, eschewing other people’s values for his own twisted ones.
However, they both have a unique understanding of one another. Toji says the first and last time anyone was aware of his presence was when he visited Gojo as a child. Gojo is defined by how untouchable he is, the last person to even put a scratch on him was Toji.
There’s actually a lot about Toji and Gojou that is similar making them poised to understand each other. Toji is also a one of a kind genius, specifically because he was born with a body that eradicates curse energy. Toji was always powerful, he was just mocked and belittled because he didn’t fit into the mold of Jujutsu society.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They’re just geniuses, it’s just that Gojo was born to fit the mold of the ideal jujutsu sorcerer, from a family, carrying the technique of his main family, and Toji breaks that same mold.
Gojo and Toji are also two people who didn’t have to be on bad terms. Their conflict represents the families they were born into. The Gojo and the Zen’in have always been on bad terms as revealed to us recently. They’re both individuals shaped by the households they were born into, and they also carry the conflict between those two households on their shoulders.
Tumblr media
Gojo and Toji are characters who value their strength above everything else. However, Toji lives trying to deny his pride and destroy it because he hates everything the Jujutsu world values.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji’s referred to as the “one who threw everything away”. It’s revealed in his extras that after Megumi’s mother died, he tried to stop caring about everything which is why he distanced himself from his son.
Toji is the extreme result of Gojou’s rampant individualism, in a different way than Sukuna is. Toji is strong, but his strength never really matters. He failed to protect Megumi’s mother. He was going to sell Megumi to the clan. He only ends up all alone because of his decision to value strength above all else and throw everything away.
Tumblr media
Gojo is also someone who despite being the strongest, fails to protect others. He wasn’t able to save Geto from his breakdown. He failed to save Rika before that. For both characters even though they believe the only good thing about themselves is their strength, strength is not everything to them.
Megumi is the connecting knot that ties between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji, who is eternally bitter about other jujutsu sorcers being born with what he didn’t have, named his son blessings. Toji who tried his best to stop caring about anybody besides himself...
Tumblr media
Can’t ever deny the part of himself that loves his son. Even his attempt to sell him to the Zen’in household while grossly misguided and irresponsible, was also out of a wish that growing up in that household would be better than what a jaded and disaffected deadbeat of a dad Toji was could give him all alone after Megumi’s mother died.
Tumblr media
Toji is genuinely happy when he learns that Megumi has had a better life than he had. Which once again ties back to Gojo. Gojo and Toji are characters who live mostly for themselves, but the best parts about them are what they give to other people. Toji’s most redeeming quality was his affection for his son, and his genuine wish for Megumi to have a blessed, better life than he did. Gojo went out of his way to protect Megumi from the Zen’in family. They’re both opposite in so many ways, but Megumi is their connecting thread. Both, Gojo and Toji want to give him a better world, and a better life than the one they grew up in.
