Y’all I had another weird drdt dream last night where the drdt cast were like digimon tamers and had digimon partners and shit like that, and I don’t remember much from it other than the fact that they were, like, in the digital world and had to save it from some unknown force like in most digimon stories. Anyways, the only things I remember from it is that Min’s partner was Kunemon (which is funny because not only is it a bug but it also has electric powers and you know-) and that Rose had an existencial crisis. So that was interesting I suppose. Anyways-

like, theoretically, if i had started writing it, it would be that eddie has a mod nicknamed "pumpkin" due to their screen name being "pumpkineater". and, again theoretically, he definitely showed favoritism towards this "pumpkin" as he's hopelessly in love with their wit, the way they give him shit, their sense of humor, their taste in general media, etc.

and, you know, stuff happens. mods having game nights with eddie in his community, movie nights that he only joins to hear pumpkin's voice, so on and so forth. and said moderator recently moved across the country, conveniently staying anonymous in their location besides timezones, never realizing they'd moved right into eddie's hometown.

until, you know, theoretically, eddie is popular enough to be invited to guest at a con. and how could he attend a gaming convention without his favorite moderators in tow? specifically pumpkin?

but. this is all theoretical of course. i definitely don't already have a google doc named "pumpkin eater" with 1.8k+ words already. totally not.

i definitely do and this is definitely my shitty little crackfic i've been living in fantasyland with frequently as of late when i want to play around in less serious settings/tones/angst

//Alright, now I've watched all the bits I missed, the bit when I had to go and do irl stuff plus the two videos skipped on stream for...reasons, I can talk about this.

//And hooo boy this is a painful one to watch so under the cut we go.

//The investigation was fun since due to the fact the entire school caught on fire a lot of rooms were damaged and there was legitmate hazards walking around...as Yanagi found out the hard way by suffering something I had experience in life, though not to the extreme as him and fall through a floorboard and get a concession Kokichi-style. This also highlights once again how much more considerate and mature this cast as a whole has been since when Kokichi had the exact same thing happen to him, because it was Kokichi, nobody paid any mind even though he dozed off in Chapter 3's Class Trial due to said head injury, though given what that case was like I do not blame him. But when Yanagi gets hurt Wada immediately goes to get Mai and Tamba and all three people are concerned aboiut Yanagi, even when he vomits during the Class Trial, they manage to convince Monomeko to take a recess so that he can feel better.

//This was such a dangerous investigation due to that and other things like the locked room being exposed and it being a Final Dead Room loaded with weapons and shit, and bear in mind the last investigation held DEATH TRAPS so if this Investigation was a hazard to do, then what the fuck will the final one be, collapsing building as the investigation processes?

//Given how out of it Ken was during the Daily Life, he really stepped into his own here taking a key role in the investigation and examining the Student Profiles for any revelant information. As much as Hama didn't like it, Ken has a point that since its an emergency, any information that could gleem light into the case could be useful. Its also iinteresting that the usual body guarders aren't here since they are suspects in the case and actually have to investigate shit on their own.

//It was interesting that Monomeko swapped the poisons out since the fire could have made a explosion that killed everyone, but didn't stop the fire since it was connected to the murder, and also a sign why you should't be burning things since if we had muitiple occassions where people could have died, its a sign you shouldn't be setting fire to stuff.

//The final bombshell before the Trial is a big one since the walls actually came down during the fire and it reveals why nobody has found the Tetro Pink cast and why the Scientists are moaning about costs, its all underground. That explains an awful lot but Hirokai doesn't take this well since it means nobody, absolutely nobody, will find where they are now. Something tells me...he won't be making it past the final class trial.

//Trial time and Okazaki's and Watari's porttraits look so disturbing with Okazaki having what looks like her entire face removed, and Watari just being burned out. Opening statements are if Watari was burnt to death or if she was killed beforehand and then burned to remove evidence and while Tamba was being...Tamba, it soon became clear this was another case of a fire associated student deciding to connect to God's Wifi.

//I mean....there was signs Watari wasn't taking things well during Chapter 4 at all and how Okazaki's behaviour broke her completely, plus we know her home life is pretty shit and thus she doesn't have a good thing to come back to, thus its pretty clear why she decided to kill herself but the fact they got to suicide at the halfway point in the Class Trial, means this is probably a Nagito situation where it seems somebody killed themselves but it was done in a way so everyone would vote wrong and the blackened would escape.

//In other words, despite Watari setting everything up, she didn't kill herself, she tricked someone into killing herself and when Hama described his movements, and the odd metal near the sewing room door...it became clear who the culprit was, as it was Hama realising that he's a buff character in Chapter 4 and that was only gonna go one way.

//After all, I know how sadistic this fangan is and no way it would be a clean suicide, there was gonna be some manners of BS which condemmed someone to their death. And neither Bubbles nor TA took this well at all since TA was in despair due to what Watari did and with Hama being a fav of Bubbles...yeah he was suffering and he tried to keep it together...but not towards the end when Hama was confessing his sins and begged Chiba for forgiveness and he broke so much that he actually skipped the execution video.

//I will have to confess I made a massive mistake here since I got frustated when the videos were skipped and I said some things I am not very proud of. Its no drama since both Bubbles and TA have forgiven me for that, but its just a lot was going on and I wasn't thinking straight at the time.

//This chapter was just AWFUL as Watari didn't just kill herself, she set things up so Hama would be the blackened, so that if he won, he could see his family again despite that NOT being what he wants at all, especially as he, like Hibiki, didn't realise he was the culprit until the others managed to figure it out, his breakdown was pure heart wrenching indeed and its the darkest sacrifice I ever seen. Yes you had Haruhiko arrange it so Satsuki would be the blackened but she didn't want to take the easy way out, she literally admitted to being the culprit in the opening act and the only reason it panned out for so long is because nobody else believed her. And in a way it meant Satsuki transferred Haruhiko's sacrifice to the others. This was NOT the case here as its the first time a sacrifice just straight up failed.

//Plus with Watari and Hama's deaths it means all the comic relief characters sans Tamba are dead, and we are truly in the endgame now. One more class trial awaits and given how dark everything has gotten, I am not expecting good things.

//I watched the execution in my own time and from what I know yeahhh its probably for the best Bubbles didn't see it as it would have broke him.

//Literally the only funny bits this stream was when Tamba was saying stupid shit in the trials and when Mai was trying to get involved since she hates being on her own. The kitten, not Tetro Pink Mai who is always involved, got to clear that up.

//....Given how Chapter 5s are at the best of times, Tetro Pink's is gonna be ROUGH.

//Overall a good class trial and while my streak is still there, its getting to the point I want a wrong answer, since whatever I come up with is so soul destroying. Watari deserved better, Hama deserved better, and if you are a human in any shape of form, you won't get through this trial well at all.

Yeah yeah impossible architecture this, backrooms that, endless hallways and looping corridors, we've all seen it. You know what's really fucked up? What's really terrifying, down to the quick of your soul? A house/building that's almost completely normally but was just atrociously built. All the infrastructure is bad. The planning was bad. An ongoing cascade of bad decisions allowed to reach their dreadful crescendo.

A house with barren walls, no outlets to be seen. Parts cut out of doors and walls because otherwise it would smack into the light fixtures or ventilation ducts. Piping and ducts that cut into each other, somehow. Spaghetti wire that leads to nowhere, abandoned eons past and left to rot and fester. Multiple different crews of people had to actively spend time installing these things. Did they know? Did they care? Could they do anything to stop the tragedy?

And you know, maybe it can take on a supernatural element. Those wires grew and grew like climbing ivy, no goal but to sprawl across the house. A second light switch appears almost completely on top of the previous one, just slightly rotated so you can see the old one underneath. The sharp angles in the ducts get just a little sharper, sharper still until they cut better than your best knives. The appliances sink further and further into the wall with each passing day until the House devours them completely. The pipes are leaking an unidentifiable liquid. Shoddy moulding crackles apart revealing something you'd like to hope isn't raw muscle underneath. Water damage bubbles the ceiling, pops it open like popcorn and millions of tiny eyes stare back. What is it that they're looking for? The termites in the attic are getting louder and louder. The wires creep closer and closer...
