Summary: A bad day leads you to hiding your injuries.

Day 4 hidden injury.

Damn it! Could this day get any worse, first you had spilled your coffee all over your paperwork you had spent all night completing. Next, you had gotten into multiple arguments with the main officer

on the case which caused tension between the police force and the team. Then you, Morgan and Hotch headed up to the a suspect's houses only for everyone to be separated and you had somehow gotten pinned against the wall by him. You fought against him, and at one point you were winning until he took a cheap shot at your ribs. He managed to get away and then on the drive back your vehicle was T-boned by the unsub. Hotch managed to get a few shots off at him, getting him square in the shoulder, you all watch him run away into the trees. So now you, Morgan and Hotch all stand on the side of the road stranded, waiting for backup. Luckily no one was hurt, well badly hurt.

You can’t help but lean against the car as Hotch and Morgan discuss the unsub and his next moves. You try to focus on the discussion but you can’t, there's a throbbing sensation coming from your side, sliding your hand down your side gently, you hiss sharply before intaking a deep breath. Glancing up at the boys, glad they didn’t hear you, nor are they watching you. So being careful, you slowly lift the bottom of your shirt up, spotting a dark purple bruise starting to form. You definitely have broken a couple ribs, fuck no wonder this shit hurts. Pulling down your shirt again you lean against the car, closing your eyes as you take some deep breaths. 

“(Y/l), what do you think?” Hotch turns over to you, noticing you are still leaning against the car, having not moved with them. He can’t help frown, his eyebrows narrowing lightly.

“Oh um, yeah I agree with you guys” You stumble over your words just slightly, sending him a reassuring smile when you meet his concerned eyes. 

“Alright” He sighs walking back over to you.

“Did Rossi say how long he will be” Morgan groans, leaning up against the car beside you. 

“No, he said he would drop the others off then come straight back for us” Hotch replies.

“Why don’t you just walk Morgan, get a headstart” You tease him smirking tiredly.

“Oh yeah yeah shorty, you go first” He laughs back, nudging you with his elbow. Your laughter turns to a hiss of pain, your eyes widen before you cough trying to cover it up, but too late.

“Did you just hiss?” Morgan straightens up, staring down at you with a confused look in his eyes.

“No, I coughed.” You lie badly trying to move before slamming your eyes shut as pain radiates through your body.

“(Y/n)” Hotch sighs, crossing his arms as he moves to stand in front of you. “Pull your shirt up”

“What, right here boss?” Smirking at him as the next words slip out. “ Look I'm flattered truly but Rossi could turn up anytime I don’t think he needs to see such a good show” You grin at him as you spot Morgan trying hard to muffle his chuckles.

“(Y/n) cut it out, you’re hurt” Hotch huffs louder, his patience running low.

“I don’t think you want to push him sweetheart” Morgan chuckles as you smirk at him just as Hotch grabs the bottom of your shirt pulling it upwards. 

“(Y/n)” Hotch mutters softly as his finger slides over it gently causing you to wince.

“Jesus sweetheart” Derek sighs, as you rest your head on his shoulder.

“It's not the bad” You try to argue as Aaron slides his hands over your sides slowly, causing you to whine and glare in response.

“Sorry, I’m just checking it out” Aaron quickly apologies before pulling his hands away. 

“How bad?” You ask groaning as the throbbing returns.

“At least three broken ribs, if not four” Aaron sighs, giving you a pointed look. “Don’t you ever try to hide that from us again” 

“Sorry Hotch, It won’t happen again” You smile weakly in apology as Derek helps you move. 

“You should sit down” Derek shakes his head as he opens the back car door for you, helping you settle down before Aaron passes you some pain killers. 

“Just relax we will get you some help soon” Aaron smiles as you swallow down the pills and nod at him.

“Thank you”

Could you do a criminal minds x reader where reader is viewed as super sweet and dresses brighter and stuff like Penelope but one day they have to come in like super late/by surprise so everyone is in their normal clothes and the bau sees that reader has a big ass, super cool tattoo? And they’re all surprised and stuff

You're looking less-than professional in your backless halter top when you take your seat at the round table, but no one bats an eye until you stand from the chair to leave. Hotch's call of 'Wheels up in 20' means that the room clears as everyone hunts for their gobags, and the second you turn your back to your coworkers a litany of reactions fill the space.

Of course, the most dramatic is from Garcia, but you hear enough to count all of your coworkers, except one. Hotch's brows are raised when you turn back to see them, though - apparently he's not above being startled.

"Woah, hot stuff," Prentiss calls, a grin spreading over her face, "You've got some nice ink back there!"

"I didn't know you had tattoos," JJ muses, staring at you with curious amusement like she's recalculating your image in her mind, "That's really intricate. I like it."

"Oh, it's-" You reach a hand up to stroke awkwardly over the inked skin, "I kind of forgot you'd never seen it before."

"Turn around again!" Garcia gushes, "I wanna look at it."

You spin on command, and Hotch and Rossi are kind enough not to gawp with the others, passing you on their way to the door.

"You've got guts, kid," Rossi grimaces, "I've been in a lot of pain before, but I don't know if I'd willingly sit there for all of that."

"I wouldn't," Hotch shakes his head with a good-natured smile, "Haley and I got small, matching ones in college, and I had a hard time with that one."

"Is that based off of Norse mythology?" Spencer pokes his head around your shoulder to stare bright-eyed at you, "Some of the symbols remind me of-"

"It's just a sick-ass tattoo, Reid." Morgan shoves at his shoulder. peering avidly at the art, "Don't ruin this for everyone."

Reid takes the shove like a champion, smiling kindly, albeit awkwardly at you as he moves for the door himself, "I like it."

"Thanks, Reid," You call, flinching slightly as a hand traces one of the symbols on your back.

"Ooh! Sorry, pumpkin," Garcia calls, the hand drawn away in a flash, "I got too grabby. I just think it's really cool," she takes your hand, leading you towards the door while the others follow to continue staring at your tattoo, "I'd show you my own body art, but it's not really in a spot that I can display in the workplace."

"Well this I've gotta see," Morgan teases, "Let's all huddle in the bathroom on the jet, babygirl, and see what you're hiding."

"It is not for your eyes, Derek Morgan," She huffs, though she's grinning at his attempt. The look in her eyes suggests that the tattoo is not for his eyes because it's something to do with him, and you're eager to giggle over whatever part of her body she's tatted 'babygirl' over later.

For now, though, you rifle through your gobag and shrug on a cardigan, effectively covering your back and its ink.

"It is a crying shame to cover up that artwork," Prentiss laments, "I bet it looks awesome peeking over tank tops."

"You'll see it again at the hotel," You laugh, "I have plans to use the jacuzzi before we leave."

"A jacuzzi sounds fantastic," JJ sighs, "But let's all of us agree that Morgan isn't invited - I wanna see Garcia's tattoo."

Whumpcember day 2: promp alt 2 stabbing.

Summary: When the team spits up and communication becomes impossible, only bad things can happen.

Warnings: I'm sorry. Blood, stabbing, death and spirits.

This isn’t good, hell this is far from good. Groaning softly as you drag yourself into a sitting position, resting against the cold wall.

You had gotten separate from your team and one of the unsubs managed to trap you down in the basement. You fought against her but she was stronger than you were prepared for, she knocked your coms out and broke your cell phone so now you have no way to contact any one as you bleed out. You glance down at the knife lodged deep in your side, you can’t remove it because then you will bleed out too fast, and you have nothing to put pressure on it. The only thing you can do is hope your team finds you in time.

You don’t know how long it has been now, but you’re getting colder and the room around you grows darker as you struggle to hold on. Soon you hear movement, the door flings open as the other unsub runs through the room jumping over your body as he goes for the other door, he can’t help but laugh darkly as he leaves you alone. 

“(Y/N)!” Someone screams at you before falling to their knees beside you, looking at them you smile weakly hope refilling you.

“D Derek” You couch roughly blood sputtering upwards as you lean towards him. “You’re here, you found me” 

“Yeah, I'm here, I am right here” Derek takes your hand that you are searching out. “It's going to be okay” He smiles weakly, glancing at the pile of blood forming underneath you, pressing his coms he turns away from you. “I need medics asap to the basement on the north wing, I have an agent with a stab wound who won’t stop bleeding and internal bleeding, I need help down here asap” Derek ordered urgently before turning back to you noticing your eyes closing. “No no no (Y/n) open your eyes, keep them open” Derek demands, shaking you, his free hand cupping your face. Your eyes open slowly, showing just how weak and lifeless you are becoming. 

“Sorry, Derek” Coughing up some more blood as you fall against him. “I'm sorry” 

“No!!” Derek screams out as he lays you down watching as you leave him. He can feel his heart breaking as he starts CPR, his arms shaking as he tries to keep you alive. 

“No you can’t leave me like this” He screams, tears streaming down his face.

A few moments pass before a softer hand is grabbing Derek's arm stopping him.The rest of the team has finally made their way down, they all stand frozen by the door as they watch Derek perform CPR, everyone heart dropping at the blood draining out of you. It's JJ that approaches him, kneeling down beside him, taking his arms in hers whispering that it's over. Derek can’t help but collapse in JJ arms, sobbing uncontrollably into her. Your heart shatters as you stare down at him, your body lays lifeless beside them, JJ has tears sliding down her cheeks as she holds Derek closely. You look down at yourself, you're a ghost, a see through figure. This is the end, you are leaving your family all behind, glancing over at the rest of the team. Reid is standing frozen staring at your body, his arms shaking as he takes it in. Rossi has tears fall down his cheek making his way over to you slowly, his heart falling apart. Hotch has one single tear rolling down his cheek as he walks to the other side of the room, leaning against the wall as his mind spins. Your eyes finally fall on Emily who is starting right at you, his eyes full of guilt and sadness. You swear she can see you with the intense look in her eyes. You walk over to her slowly, hoping for the best that she can at least hear you and know how sorry you are.

“I’m sorry, look after him” You look her straight in the eyes as you speak.

“I will” She replies so quietly you can barely hear her, with a soft nod, you disappear and everything goes black.
