it took me so long to realize what a flannel is and I’ve reread all the riordanverse books like. Thrice in the past two months. I loved this scene so much...

One of the things I love about him is how he's both logical even about the bleakest things and able to take whatever insanity is thrown at him. His response as to why he's not doing more/differently is so clear eyed even if his situation is awful, and the way he's dealing with it with such grace.

Once again, a big honking hint to her she misses.

This was such a satisfying moment with the comic - I totally forgot she brought it with her into this world and then dropped it as she rushed to the emergency. And so, it's once again thanks to her, he learns this world is fake. I agree with @myechoecho I think his reaction is less extreme to this reveal because he's had time to process but also because his situation is so terrible and illogical so any explanation feels like grace and at least proof that he's not going insane (and I think on some level, his subconscious remembered this - he gets little flashbacks reading this, so this cushions it too.)

My heart! But also, this time around he doesn't know it's being written as it progresses so he has hope that maybe she knows ahead - and knows what's going to happen. Ooof.

Something something you could binge that many episodes because there were filler episodes and the pacing was so so so much less dense, so your brain could rest sporadically at intervals throughout a longer time half-watching but you still were able to catch all the important details, instead of being exhausted from the need to maintain continuous lazer focus for 6 straight hours of content that's paced to be denser than a brick of pure elemental osmium.
