Color. ⁣ These soft pastels tossed into a bowl are beautiful, but carefully sorted by color family they turn into a visual mood board. ⁣ Organizing my tools by color is not only helpful when I am reaching for them as I create, but it serves an aesthetic purpose as well. When I see something beautiful in front of me it uplifts me. I can’t help but smile or feel happier. Seeing my tools in all their colorful glory makes me want to create. My favorite color wheel ever. I used to be afraid of the color wheel. I’m a visual learner so thinking about rules and concepts and well, theory, freaked me out a little bit. Then I learned that I could follow my heart when it came to color and still make this simple tool work for me.
