Did you see that Swifties are now going after Lil Nas X on X (Formally Twitter) and Tik Tok one of them saying that he must have been raised in a barn for not standing to greet Taylor Swift when she was standing to greet him at the VMA’s? I swear they like to act like their fandom isn’t racist but in the past week they’ve gone after Beyoncé, Olivia Rodrigo, Demi Lovato, and now Lil Nas X. Are they going to pretend thats it’s just a coincidence that all of them are going after singers of the POC community? Like this is why people can’t stand Swifties. Because if someone doesn’t like their favorite white woman then they think it’s acceptable to be making racist and microaggressive comments I swear Swifties are getting ridiculous.

They are? They act like Taylor is the queen of the world and everybody should treat her like one. Why would he stand up and meet her? He doesn’t even know her. Swifties really are annoying and like you said, they are racist as hell. Some of the racist things they said about Beyoncé and other artists of color made me sick.

Also, I feel like they are threatened by those artists you mention because they could be just as popular as Taylor is. I know that Olivia is already breaking records for her upcoming tour and Beyoncé is already way more iconic than Taylor. That’s why Swifties are attacking them. cool for the summer by demi lovato!!! the first time i listened to the song was in the winter BUT the youtube video that i searched up to listen to it had demi lovato and a whole bunch of people at her house or smth having a pool party, so every time that song comes up i think of the pool party and how everyone's having a blast. and that's a summer vibe if any B)

let's dance to joy division by the wombats!!!! it's loud it's FAST there's almost NO BREAKS between words i'm ALWAYS out of breath singing everything and yelling the words and when it comes on i HAVE to turn up the volume every time!!! it's exhilarating and joyful and at the end of the track, the band members have a little laugh because they're having so much fun and it's almost like we are all friends and singing the song together at the same time 🥰

young pilgrims by the shins. listened to it at a heart-achy though hopeful moment when i was younger, and the song always brings me back to myself at that moment in time, the kid i was. i remember listening to the song for the first time and not really liking it that much actually - the twang of the guitar was a bit weird to my ears and it didn't really follow the pop formula of "choose four chords and stick with it" that i was oh-so-familiar with, and also i found it hard to sing so i was actually kind of "ehh" towards it LMAO. and then i listened to it like two more times and fell in love :) i still can't really sing it well. it's one of my favourite songs to date.

So Much For (Tour) Dust-W/ Fall Out Boy, Bring Me the Horizon, Royal & The Serpent, and Games We Play

When I heard that Fall Out Boy was set to hit the road this summer with Bring Me The Horizon, I knew that this was going to be a show that I could not miss. Both bands have help shape my music taste today. What better way to spend a Friday night than to see two awesome bands perform together. For this particular date of the tour, the band is also playing with Royal & The Serpent and Games We Play. Upon arrival to the venue the traffic leading up was at a standstill for at least a mile. Unfortunately, due to the time it took to get into the venue I was unable to capture photos of Games We Play even though we arrived early to the venue.

Games We Play is a pop punk trio that when viral overnight, after posing a teaser of their new song “Deadbeat” on Tik Tok. The video of the singer and his wife, has over a million views. If you are a fan of bands like All Time Low, Real Friends and State Champs, then you will definitely want to add Games We Play to your list of up-and-coming artists to listen to. Games We Play is the first band to step foot on stage for the night. They expressed their excitement for being on tour with Fall Out Boy. They played a few songs and to bring some energy to the crowd they played a cover of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. Another cool thing I noticed about this band, the singer Emmyn, joined us in the photo pit to take photos of Royal & The Serpent’s Set.

Royal & The Serpent, also known as Ryan Santiago, is a singer song writer from New Jersey. She independently debuted her first single “Temperance” back in 2017. In an interview with Prelude Press she explains what the name Royal & The Serpent means, it translates to Me + My Ego also explaining that “Duality is the essence of our human experience.” In 2019 Royal & The Serpent was signed with Atlantic Records. She has 3 EP’s and a bunch of singles that has been released to date. After the release of her 3rd EP, IF I DIED WOULD ANYONE CARE she got the opportunity to go out on the road with Demi Lovato on her Holy Fvck Tour. I was not expecting to actually leave this show finding another artist that I enjoy listening too. When the other photographers & I were hanging out in the VIP area before Bring Me The Horizon came out, we heard a song that sounded familiar. It’s called “Overwhelmed”, I have heard it plenty of times at shows and in some Tik Tok videos, but I did not expect it to actually be a Royal & The Serpent song. Royal & The Serpent are for sure a band I will be adding to my must listen to list.

Bring Me The Horizon is a British Rock band from Sheffield forming back in 2006. The band has 8 albums released to date. The band has such a large variety of musical stylings, due to the idea of each album that they released should be different from the last, they have experimented with mixing electronica, nu metal, pop and rock trying to get away from the metalcore sound from earlier albums. The band has collaborated with artist’s that I wouldn’t expect them to work with such as Halsey, Lil Uzi Vert, and Ed Sheeran. No matter what album you are listening to, I feel like Bring Me The Horizon has a song for everyone. I’ve listened to them since I was an early teenager and even now, I can still enjoy the new music they are producing. When Bring Me The Horizon finally graced us with their presence, I got super excited and was ready for what they were going to play for us that night. They played a bunch of fan favorites such as “Can You Feel My Heart", “Throne”, and “Happy Song.” There were fans there from all over, I was looking at some of the signs the fans had drew and one of them asked Oli Sykes to draw her next Bring Me The Horizon tattoo, which I thought was an awesome idea especially if you are a super fan. During their set Oli wanted the fans to step it up a notch and he kept asking them to mosh because the first two mosh pits were “sh*t.” I absolutely loved their set, since I was able to hear all my favorite songs by them and even see them for the first time live on top of being able to take photos of them was unimaginable.

Fall Out Boy is an American Rock band from Chicago Illinois, they formed back in 2001. Fall Out Boy was one of the main bands that introduced me to Pop-Rock and Pop-Punk with their catchy songs such as “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and “Sugar, We’re Going Down.” This band has had a variety of accomplishments in their career, they have won many awards such as artist of the year, multiple best music video awards, favorite alternative band and many more. Before Fall Out Boy even had the chance to step out on stage the fans at the barricades were going crazy. When the curtains were going up, I was not expecting what happened next, I jumped a little bit each time this happened. Fall Out Boy came out blasting, the band had fireworks going off and fire going off at all the high points of the songs. I loved the energy that they had to give, the singer Patrick Stump, was swinging his guitar around and hitting all those notes hard. I loved the fact that Pete Wenz had a flame thrower attached to his guitar. As we were leaving the pit, I noticed that a fan was waving around a sign that said, “I came here from London to make sure that this tour was real”. I loved that this tour had fans coming from all over the country to see them let alone coming from another country.

i was honestly thinking about this message as i scrolled their pages. it seems like they’re both using their relationship for attention. the amount of posting from the both of them is insane. nicola has never posted someone so much aside from people she’s dating on her feed. everything else is primarily in her stories and isn’t typically a lot of posts. she has gained over 800k followers since her friendship with selena has gone public. i doubt selena is that kind of girl, but i do think one or both of them is using their relationship for clout. with nicola her friendships usually last between a few months to a little more than a year so we’ll see how it goes.

OOC: Phew! Finally managed to complete this tag meme challenge too! Took me soo long cause I was too lazy to make a spotify playlist soo far, but today I finally decided to actually take some time to build one (since it'd actually be useful for me too in the long run, given that I have a tendency to find good songs then forget about them...). The total number of songs in my playlist momentarily stretches to 150 songs soo far (and that's what I managed to remember atm lol, so it'll keep growing for sure) so this lil randomized selection is really interesting to say the least (also, fun fact: ironically, some of my top faves got scattered amongst them, hehe, try to guess which). I'm rather amused by the fact that it mostly seemed to follow a pattern of love songs + break up songs combo, creating a cohesive theme (minus Tik Tok, the only non-love related song out of the 10) and I swear, I have stuff from all genres and themes, even Disney songs scattered in that long ass playlist, so it's funny. 😂

And even the ppl criticizing the performance and how bad they sound keep repeating it “the girls don’t deserve hate” and I’m like wtf do these idiots think this is? A hs popularity contest?

This is the fucking MUSIC INDUSTRY. Know what that means? You’re in the business of making music. And guess what you need to be able to do in that case? Fucking sing. If you can’t sing, get the fuck off the fucking stage. Yes I’m booing you. Yes I’m saying you suck. What else am I supposed to do? Just hum how sad you sing bad and then keep streaming and supporting you despite your inability to the do the bare minimum required to be in this industry? Fucking jlo can hold a note better than these hoes. JLO!

Like honestly, kpop fans are so delusional. They could never last in the music industry for real lol. You know how often and how much artists get torn down when they’re talented? Look at Beyonce and Megan thee Stallion. Fuck, look at Dua Lipa! When she got called out for being a shit performer, did she make excuses like “I tried my best and my audience had fun so there’s that?” No! She got in the studio, hired some dance instructors and choreographers, and put her ass to work. Now this bitch is singing on apparatuses and shit like it’s easy. THAT’S what artists worth our time and attention and praise do. They put in the fucking work.

Maybe if kpop idols focused more on doing the work than starving themselves skinny, practicing how to take selfies, and filming tik toks, they could fucking sing.

And Sakura is too old to be acting this obtuse and stupid. “We’re a rookie group” like okay yes, and? What that got to do with the price of tea in china? Britney went from promoting at malls to selling out stadiums within two years of her “debuting.” And she was dancing and singing with steady vocals. And like Britney even in her time was not the best vocalist we had to offer. Fucking Christina Aguilera was right there! Hell Pink is a much better singer than Britney! And that’s not even including BLACK singers who would dance circles around them!

This is why I refuse to tolerate this shit. If this is the best kpop has to offer, then why listen to it? Hybe and many other labels are trying to remove the k from kpop, and their best acts aren’t even good enough to be background dancers to our (American) most mid artists. Like this is embarrassing.

I was listening to Wonder Girls The DJ is Mine featuring School Gyrls and while those girls never went anywhere, School Gyrls could sing. And when I first heard the song, I didn’t even realize that there was an American girl girl on the track because Wonder Girls’ vocals were on par with the American girls. And that was the standard in second gen. Fucking Wonder Girls weren’t even the best second gen had to offer (and I say this as a very loyal wonderful) and they could hold their own vocally with American singers.

But these recent idols could NEVER no matter how hard they work at it. Fucking Demi Lovato was on that remix of le serrafim’s English version of eve psyche and Bluebeard’s wife, and I still remember the way when I was listening to that for the first time how I woke the fuck up when Demi starting singing because the difference in how amazing she sounded compared to le serrafim on their own fucking track was wild to me. And Demi is also not the best singer we have to offer! She might make some ppls top 100 vocalists, but only braindead Disney kids would put her in their top 50, and she sure as hell is no one’s top 20 or 10. And that’s not a dig but just to show how far the gap is. Demi isn’t even the best we have to offer and she’s singing circles around these girls on their own track? What does that say about them?

Oh I know! They fucking suck!

I’m not giving them a pass nor giving them excuses nor tolerating this. This is the music industry in America sweeties. And guess what? When you suck, we dunk on you. Can’t sing and we’re laughing and mocking you. If this was the Apollo, Black folk would be throwing tomatoes. No cookout invite for you tired hoes. Get the fuck out of here. No mercy for the weak too focused on being pretty than good at your fucking job. If we dunked on summer walker for canceling her tour due to anxiety when she can actually sing but was boring as hell on stage, why do you expect better treatment when you can’t even sing?

We’re not giving these mugs a handicap. You wanna tour in the us and promote here? Then get good. Period. And if you can’t, then get the fuck off the stage and stick with the inkigayo performances. Just don’t actually win because god forbid yall have to sing a fucking encore stage and everyone hears your live vocals again.

me: okay so demi lovato first met the jonas brothers when she auditioned for their show in 2008 and she didn’t get it but then she eventually worked on camp rock with them and after doing camp rock they decided to work on her debut album together and at the time demi had a huge crush on joe but she was only 15 at the time so he rejected her and then they ended up co-writing a song about him rejecting her and joe’s brother nick was basically the middle man during the entirety of their friendship, fast forward to 2010 joe and demi did eventually date for like a month and then broke up and they both end up writing all these songs about each other over the span of 2011-2018 and it’s just a mess, then at some point in between that and 2017-ish demi and nick became really close again and wrote a DUET about how they drifted apart all at the same time they basically were into each other so then demi wrote songs about how she wanted to ruin their friendship and just date but it never happened and now they’re not even friends anymore. so now anyway rewind back to 2008 again taylor swift and joe jonas are dating and then he breaks up with her over voicemail and people are talking about it everywhere and taylor wrote some BOPS and then at the same time this is going on nick and miley cyrus aka hannah montana aka pop QUEEN were dating and then LOVEBUG was born. but then they broke up and also wrote break up songs about each other aka 7 things and sorry. one also being a DUET about their break up. he also wrote a song about him being emo about her being engaged/married but it was never released since the jonas brothers broke up lol yikes... but there are some happy songs too though, demi wrote a really sweet song back in 2008 about her bff at the time selena gomez. it’s cute. fast forward it’s 2021 now and these people are still writing and releasing songs about each other, I’m honestly invested. anyway if you made it this far I made a playlist of the songs if you’re interested
