After approx. 4 days of nonstop drawing, I present to you my AU idea!

Current working name is "World's Soul", but that might be subject to change in the future, I dunno.

This is my first true comic I've ever made. I'm much too used to just doing character designs and portraits, so I'm stepping out of my comfort zone for this. Getting to blend my hyperfixations is the best part of being an artist ^_^;

I had the idea while making this of Ralsei turning into a titan instead of a statue because of him being the guardian of the Grand Fountain so uhhh I guess that's the context of the piece that's all I have tbh

(Another last post before this year ends. Anyways wanted to thank you guys for following this blog. I know I havent done much for it as much as I like and I didnt manage to get my christmass sumbission. Irl stuff got carried me agian. But either way, I hope you had a good time. A take into Ralsei is a Titan Theory

I don't believe the Ralsei is a Titan theory.

But after seeing this image something felt strange.

It's supposed to be an inside joke of the camera being broken in that room.

But seeing how the Deltarune Team placed it it's very interesting, you can see the camera with Ralsei's photo centered between two "signs" that look oddly familiar...

You can only see this if you backtrack before Queen's fight.

In The Dark Truth. Two Skinny Titans at the side of the Main Titan in the middle.

Someone pointed out how this two things are very similar.

I know this might be stretched, but what if Ralsei doesn't want The Roaring to happen seeing what will happen to him.

I see the two familiar signs and the broken camera as foresahdowing as what might happen to ralsei when The Roaring happens.

This also can conect to why ralsei lives in a place where marks of Titans are everywhere.

This might me a stretch seeing that it's an inside joke, but let's remember that toby uses accidents like the Intro accident in Undertale to make the story of Undertale.

In snowgrave when you talk to Spamton he mentions an angel, but most think it's referring to Noelle, he could be directly referring to us.

Plus, "Angel" can mean (specifically in theater terms) an individual or organization funding some kind of production. Funding. Funding a Kickstarter. Undertale Kickstarter. If that's the case then the [HEAVEN] Spamton yaps about could be where we are, our real world.

Not fully sure about the characters as the triangles though but one thing is for sure is that so far we can only have Three party members. Three triangles.

Toby said something along the lines of Deltarune being the game he truly wanted to make based on an ending of his dream, Undertale is just kind of the "experimenting" project. His skills have grown better and so he's making Deltarune that he couldn't make before. (Alot of us probably know this by now) He said something something..- "deltarune's story is basically 3/4 ready and how the game's direction is going to go based of it", he's probably thought of the whole "angel" thing in deltarune since Undertale.

ALSO I think it's interesting that a lot of stuff related to us seem to mention power. When you seal the fountain the soundtrack is literally called "Your power". (Though so far the soundtrack seems to only play when Susie is around, it doesn't play in Snowgrave. "Your power" has guitars and Susie is associated with it.)

When saving, the texts also mentions it often "You are filled with the power of__". Irl when we think of angels we think of saviour sure, but also all-POWERFUL, something we can't comprehend. Just like how in deltarune the characters won't comprehend the real world and us.

Speaking of the save files hey why is it that in the cutscene of The Roaring the three titans (again THREE.., maybe in the logo the triangles are them instead) have the shiny looking thing (im calling it a star) on their faces.

Also hey we currently have 3 save files. 3 titans that have a star on their face. That same looking star is what we use to save a file. Hey wai

Hi, thank you for the compliments, and I hope you have a great day, too!

The idea that Ralsei could be a titan (the big one with horns specifically) was actually something my friend Shadowhaxor (@downlowbroyouknow) proposed on a server we're both in, and it kind of stuck with me since. I'm not sure if I fully buy into it yet (as there's no evidence for OR against it so there's no real arguing on the topic) but the symbology surrounding that idea just feels so specific to me that I think it might be intentional.

"The evil within" and "I choose to help when I was made to destroy" could be REALLY interesting roads to take Ralsei's character, and "your actions DO have consequences" being revealed through Ralsei turning into a titan himself would be a hell of a gut-punch and a really effective way to subvert the "your choices don't matter" beginning statement of the game. PLUS with Ralsei's inconsistent design choices there's really no telling if the resemblance to the largest titan is far fetched and impossible, or uncanny and undeniable - it can really swing both ways depending on which of Ralsei's sprites you're looking at, and I think that adds to the overall vibe of this "theory" as it adds potential layers to Ralsei's existence and identity that we wouldn't have otherwise.

He's both mysterious and malleable, he's well-meaning but not incapable of causing harm, and he was made for the prophecy but that doesn't mean he can't embody its ugliest side as well.

(I think there's also something between "The Legend" and "The Dark Truth" that feels like we're missing a piece between them, almost a missing link between the two songs that tells us the full story when we put them all together, but I'm not musically literate enough to expand on that idea.)

Again, as things stand right now I don't think this is 100% canon (no evidence = no concrete conclusion), but there's a lot of imagery and symbolism here that makes me feel like its justified to speculate about, especially knowing how neatly it could fit into Deltarune's overall narrative.
