Protogenoi 6: Children of Cronos
The Titan and King of heaven, Cronos, with his wife Rhea, give birth to six divine children; Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. But Cronos receives a prophecy that he will be overthrown by his own son, and in his fear, swallows the first five children. But Rhea, in her grief, tricks Cronos. Instead of handing over her sixth child Zeus, she delivers a stone wrapped in cloth disguised as a baby, which Cronos ingests. On earth below, Zeus is raised by nymphs in a secret cave on Mount Ida of Crete. Here a group of spirits called the Kouretes dance and bang their spears and shields together to drown out the cries of Zeus so that Cronos won’t discover the child.
Growing older, Rhea helps Zeus to strategize a plan by poisoning Cronos, forcing the Titan to vomit up the siblings. Now free, the Children plot to overthrow their tyrannical father, the Titanomachy war owhich we’ll explore in the next chapter. The stone which Cronos vomited up, known as the Omphalos, Zeus places at Pytho in Parnassus, which later becomes the site for the Oracle at Delphi. The stone, believed to mark the center of the world, and thus the place where heaven and earth met, is later used as a tool for divination by the oracle.

Like a Girl is the seventh mini album of the fictional South Korean girl group, GIRL TALK, released on November 16, 2023, through Delphi Entertainment and XG Labels. It’s available digitally and physically and has seven tracks with “Get It” being its title track. There are three versions of the album; “Get”, “Kill”, and “Hit”. GIRL TALK promoted “Get It” and “Nobody Knows” for six weeks.
“Get It” received nine music show wins. The music video received 70.4 million streams and 5.3 million likes in 24 hours. They posted daily content videos of “Sleep-Over with GIRL TALK” on their YouTube channel, held several online and in-person fansigns, as well as appearing on multiple variety shows. They also released the “Kill It” and “Hit It” dance practice versions. As usual, their girl crush and mature concepts always go viral, and this time, it was no exception.
Two weeks after Like a Girl was released, Delphi Entertainment announced GIRL TALK’s documentary film; The Girls Talk. Produced by Jordan Hwang, The Girls Talk is a documentary film that emphasizes each members’ individuality and struggles. According to Hwang, the girls “get real”. The Girls Talk was released on November 30, 2023, in select theaters worldwide. Due to popular demand it re-entered theaters in select countries on December 20 and 21 2023. The film is to be released on YouTube Premium on February 24, 2023.

༺☆༻ THE PUBLIC’S VIEW
The comeback was announced on October 20th, giving fans and the public a few weeks to prepare. After it was announced, Yuuri went live with the title “AND THE GIRLS ARE BACK!” where she would spoil Nobody Knows, giving fans the first taste of their newest album. Soojin came in a moment after and took her phone away like she was a child, ending the live with a swift but sweet goodbye.
Now that fans knew that the album would involve a mature concept, boy, were they excited. Of course, they love all concepts by the girls but there’s always something about their mature concepts. Of course, non fans were excited, too.
Minji helped write Get It with Cho Yoonkyung, Holly helped Yoonkyung with Nobody Knows. Minji completely wrote ICU and all the girls wrote 21:29.
The music video would get 70.4 million streams and 5.3 million likes within 24 hours. Therefore beating their previous record of 79.8 million with Devil.
Get It debuted high on the charts, #1 on Bugs, #5 on MelOn, #7 on Genie, and #50 on Flo. It was #19 on Billboard 200. Nobody Knows also debuted #4 on Bugs, #6 on MelOn, and #90 on Flo. The girls tweeted a ten second video of them just screaming. No talking, no pausing, just screaming and then it ends. They followed up with another video, thanking the fans and everyone who listened to them.
Minji said ICU was to a close friend of hers, letting them know she’s always there for them, even oceans apart. She didn’t say which friend, but from the girls’ reactions, it’s safe to assume it’s about someone else.
The girls wrote 21:29 for the fans, one of the many. It was a tearjerker, Holly tears up when they first performed it live at an in person fansign.
Get It and Nobody Knows were promoted for six weeks from November 17th to December 17. Their first out of nine win for Get It was two days later on Inkigayo. They had two additional wins for Nobody Knows— which one of them they won against Get It.
As usual, the girls were active on social media. They especially posted a lot on TikTok, posting videos nearly every day and when they skipped one, Blossoms jokingly wondered if the girls were kidnapped or dead. They replied to fans on social media and had one or two lives each week.
They went on variety shows such as Knowing Bros and Minji and Mei guest starred in Running Man. Yuri joked on Knowing Bros that she wished We Got Married was still airing, she wanted to be on it. You can imagine netizens’ reactions. They also went on Jimmy Kimmel and performed.
Throughout the era, they released all three versions of Get It’s dance practices. They also released their MMA and GDA performance dance practices. On December 25, they released a special dance practice video where they wore similar outfits to the Mean Girls’ Santa dresses. Soojin and Mei got the cutest outfits and solo stans were pissed.
Most of the girls stayed their natural dark hair color, while Yuri was blonde and Minji dyed her hair blonde halfway through the era, saying that the blonde hair in her photocard was a wig.
Oh, this was Minji and Holly’s eras. They just shined really brightly in this one, going viral almost every other day for a fancam or something they did or said.
People gave Minji such backhanded compliments for her lyrics and voice while somehow degrading her to a ‘dumb blonde’. Holly went viral for her Nobody Knows fancam, people stating it was her choreo like she just does it like it was made for her.
As usual, Yuuri went viral for all the wrong things. People took her words a bit too seriously like her We Got Married comment, and her saying their comeback was the best comeback the entire year. Stupid things like that.
Antis didn’t have one thing to complain about Mei this era for, but you know— they still did.
It’s not a GIRL TALK comeback if there’s not at least one dating rumor. This era’s victim was Soojin, what a surprise.
All of the girls went viral for Nobody Knows, multiple fancams of theirs for the song had more than two million views. This brought more attention to them, both bad and good.
Some people thought it was somehow too raunchy …? As Holly said, “They don’t like people showing their ass, I guess.”
Twitter was in hell for Blossoms. Like it was a constant war every day. They had to defend the girls from so many other fandoms, who called them sluts or untalented, etc. You know the works.
They attended Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York and all stops of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour, meeting a few celebrities such as Sabrina Carpenter, Olivis Rodrigo, Doechii, Melanie Martinez, SZA, and more.
GIRL TALK went to AAA, MMA, SMA, GDA, and CCMA. They went home with at least one award every show.
They released their documentary film The Girls Talk on November 30 in select theaters. The girls shed light on past incidents, reminisce together, and even visit their families in the film as a way to go back to their roots after finding stardom. It will be released on YouTube Premium on February 24, 2024.
On midnight January 1st, the girls dropped a music video for 21:29, a thank you gift to them, concluding the Get It era.

Throwing this at you ikko, because I am obsessed with Pinks fairy’s in Archie’s Knightformers au, butttt, Pharma the freaky little man finding a fairy that can’t run or fly because their wings broken<3 and he uses old test subjects wings to fix theirs despite their disgust to it, partnered with him keeping them as his little pet/experiment.
(Also my friend sent me more pics to use as reaction <3 so I am blessing you with a cat)
Tumblr media
compookie!!
rubs hand evilly ohohoh I've been plagued with knightformer pharma and his evil little smile. He's definitely getting his own little fae too.
Quick incomprehensive ramble about my husband, for a moment (sorry prowl) Knightformers / Faeformers are by :
@archie-sunshine and @pinkanonwrites (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
(oofm gets a little bit violent at the end)
I'd say before Pharma went bonkers, his methods are a little less unethical. Like Prowl, he won't care much for these playful cretins. They're adorable, yes. Very soft, too. He can see why First Aid and Ambulon are always so keen on squishing their plush cheeks.
Unfortunately, as much as he tries to find them tolerable, one fae in particular switched his colorcoded books to different shelves can you believe that?
How utterly vulgar. He ought to put them in a Jar and send them to Nyon where Rodimus or whatever lives. That'll do the fine job of shutting them up.
Even more strange, this fae prefers to bother him, of all people. Always pottering along with their tiny feet. The wisp flutter of their wigs as they hover close, tugging on his hat, and cloak. Hiding behind pillars, peeking out then giggling when he notices them.
He'd imagine they go for humans like First Aid or Ambulon, since they are far more gentle with their words than he is to them
The annoyance to that particular fae, though, doesn't last too long.
It was a busy day at the hospital. Darkness veiled the night. He's working the night shift again and everyone had gone to their quarters. The halls are empty. It feels a little isolating but he'll have to make do.
After a small dreadful nap on his desk that left his throat sore and back.pained — Pharma wakes up with something warm over his back. He sits up straight and the something his back billows and pool to the ground. A — he pinches the material between his fingers, eyebrows cocked — blanket?
And the sprinkled dust of glitter on one end drew a smile to that face.
"Good, little cretin."
Pharma and fae aren't particularly close after, but he does acknowledge the fae and does, a little bit, grow more tolerant of them. In the gardens, where he'd go out for fresh air and a semblance for peace, fae would perch on his shoulder as he reads his book. Their tiny legs would swing aimlessly as their eyes peering over to read.
He's not sure the little thing understands but when he'd flip a page a little too early, he's halted by their itty hands and a trill. Pharma waits little, couldn't resist raising a finger and scratching the back of their ears, before turning the page after.
He couldnt retract his finger since fae is already nuzzling against it. So he keeps it there for as long as he remembers ( he couldn't perform surgery and had First Aid take over because of how sore his hand was).
Post-delphi Pharma, though. Yikes, okay. Everything is in shambles. Tarn comes and goes, and as he goes, chaos runs rampant and dances along every crook and cranny of Delphi like a forest fire.
Pharma isn't spared, either.
Fae, and the many others, find themselves scuttling away to a nearby forest. Their friend, a fae with green streaks to their wings, breedles to them about a new hideout in the caves.
Fae nods and follows along, before the group breaks off unceremoniously when a panther had caught on to their little group.
Fae persists to a different path. In doing so, unluckily encounters a bandit when they were trying to flee. It's not your usual, pillaging, loot lover bandit — these were the ones who snatch faeries and strip them of their magic dust.
A lot of fae's have been caught recently and the growing numbers are not one to mess with.
And, a quick scuffle between the two, led to fae hitting the floor hard. They squeak weakly, pawing the ground, trying and failing to flutter their wings. But it hurts. Thair back hurts. Their body hurts
Distraught, the shadow closes in on them, eyes of the bandit white half-moons of mirth as hands almost curl around fae's body—
And a sickening splat resounds after.
Fae opens their eyes and sees a different man looming. It's Pharma, eyes half lidded as he stares over the crook of his nose, down at the body in front of him — not the fae.
One side of his cheek had blood smeared across and over his hand, curls a crimson mottled axe. Fae doesn't want to see what's left of the body and looks away with a small shuddered trill, arms covering their faces.
This isn't the Pharma they knew..
Crass as he were — Pharma would never be so grotesquely vulgar as this.
The medic regards the little cretin for a moment, likely assessing the damage of their wings. He notices there's a stutter in the movements. Muscles, strained. Arms, limp.
Then, with another look to the body, silently, pharma grabs the fae with his free hand — blatantly ignoring their startled trills and their little kicks — and starts heading back to Delphi.
Everything was quiet. The hallways were quiet. The evening air was quiet. Even the gardens they so often mingle about — were dreadfully stale.
Pharma lays the fae down on the table, who scuttles to the edge in a fit of panic.
"I did tell the man to go after the least energetic ones." He murmered and pinches their ankle to stop their movements
Fae kicks at his fingers. He doesn't budge. Instead, he brings out wires from a drawer and starts coiling them into rings.
"Seems like he doesn't very much like listening to my orders." The wires were cold to their wrists then more cooler around ankles. "He's got what's coming, poor fellow. But that's done, now. I don't have to pay him, anymore. He's done enough—"
Fae let's out a squeal and thrashes around.
"Oh, don't give me that look, cretin. You'd think I'd spare your kind after the potential results you could give me?" He says lowly and clamps his entire hand on their body.
The table rattles..Fae shudders and weakly trills, pawing away at his palm. Tears sting their cheeks.
"But no worries." He leans closer. A small smile. "I'm fond of you, I'll give you that. That's only if the gift I'm planning to give you is of your taste. Look around, cretin. A new wing i've culled — just for you. You can choose as many as you like."
And fae swivels around, heart lurching in their chest. They've realized there were jars all around, perched in the shelves and were filled with faes...
Limp shadows. No longer bright. No longer breathing.
A particular jar caught their eye. They were wings. The miniscule body is a mere silhouette under the dim light. And, streaks of green dances across the glint of the wings.

sasha lore drop 2024
(basically crazy shit that happened this year)
- i went on 3 dates with a girl who for some reason lied about being an ex cult member and sent me her bdsm test results after our second date (i didn't stop seeing her because of either of those things for some reason)
- i got accused of being ableist towards autistics because i dropped one of my friends (who was autistic) because he repeatedly lied to my face, made fun of my appearance and did morally questionable things like take selfies on top of graves in a local cemetery (one of which was my other friend's grandmother's) and when i called him out on all the stuff he had done because he asked why i didn't want to talk to him, he immediately started crying and ran away
- my online friend of 3 years got outed as a catfisher and somehow i got dragged into the exposé type shit on butchfemme tumblr on a different account (we are no longer friends)
- i got into a talking stage with a boy who basically lead me on for 4 weeks, made me touch his dick in a wetherspoons toilet then told me 3 days later that he didn't like me and saw me more as a little brother (he is now dating a guy who looks almost exactly like him)
- i went to greece for just over a week and i decided to separate from my group while at delphi because i got cocky and decided i knew enough about the site so i didn't need to listen to the tour guide but i fell down multiple marble steps and crashed into a group of french students who proceeded to ask me if i was okay and where my mum was (i think they thought i was a child?) but i hadn't spoken french in almost a year so i just said "mon père" (my father) and ran away towards my dad out of embarrassment because my pronunciation was so bad and then tripped on a tree root and fell face first into gravel
- my ex girlfriend from almost 2 years ago messaged me asking to hook up and when i asked if we could just hang out and talk things through instead she blocked me (what the hell katie???)
- i threw the worst halloween party known to man. my best friend and my cousin fell out over a boy, said boy tried to chat up my other friend's underage sister and then i cried in front of him about a different boy who was also at the party then took my clothes off in front of a group of 4 people because i was drunk and high and wanted to go to bed (i did warn people beforehand by saying "turn around guys i'm getting naked" apparently)
- i went into wakey for a night out with my friends (yes ik shite town for drinks) and while i was in a pub, i was dancing with my friends and a random man asked me "why are you so small?" and i pulled a face at him then he smiled and lifted me into the air and spun me around for 10 seconds while i screamed

ST. OSWALD'S HOME FOR OLD WITCHES AND WIZARDS
🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶
Mari could physically feel her skin crawl as her, Albus, and Scorpius entered the old persons home. Sure, it was all magical and fun and they all looked like they were having a great time but. . . they were still old people who were going to die soon. Mari held Snowball a little tighter to her chest.
"Um, excuse me?" Albus asked as a group of older wizards moved past them, doing the tango. "Excuse me?"
"Excuse me?" Scorpius asked while Mari scanned the room for a service desk. "Okay, so this place is wild."
"We're looking for Amos Diggory." Albus said aloud.
It was like one of those Muggle movies, with the recorded coming to a scratching halt. The music turned off, the wizards and witches stopped dancing, and there was absolutely silence in the opening hall while they all stared at the three children in front of them.
'Great' Mari thought.
"And what do you children want with that miserable old sod?" A woman who was using magic to knit asked.
Mari looked over as Delphi came through the door with a large smile on her face. "Albus? Mari? You came? How wonderful! Come and say hello to Amos!"
Mari, Albus, and Scorpius followed her through the old persons home. Behind them as they passed out of the room, Mari heard the music and chatter start up again.
Amos Diggorys' room was set off from the other rooms. Judging by the way the others had reacted when they'd asked for him, Mari harbored a guess that he was isolated for the others sake.
Albus proceeded to tell Amos the conversation that he'd overheard. Meanwhile, Mari observed the room. There weren't many personal effects, reminding her much of her own bedroom. The difference was that Amos had a Hufflepuff blanket across his lap, worn and clearly from his own years of being at Hogwarts. And along his dresser were several photos. Most of them were family ones, of Amos, his wife, and his son. But there were several of just Cedric. All of them were laughing and smiling.
There was one photo that was laid face down so no one could see it.
"So let me get this straight." Mari drew her attention back to the elderly man in front of her. "You overhear a conversation- a conversation which was not meant for you to overhear- and you decide- without prompting, in fact, without leave- to interfere, and interfere hard, in someone else's business."
"My father lied to you- I know he did. They do have a Time-Turner." Albus said.
"Of course they do. You can move along now." Amos said uncaringly.
"What? No. We're here to help." Albus protested.
"Help? What use could a trio of undersized teenagers be for me?"
"My father proved you don't have to be a grown-up to change the wizarding world."
"So I should allow you to get involved because you're a Potter? Relying on your famous name, are you?"
"No!"
"A Potter who is in Slytherin House- yes, I've read about you- and who brings a Malfoy with him to visit me- a Malfoy who may be a Voldemort? Not to mention, a daughter of Snape." He sneered at her with disgust and Mari was actually hurt by that. "Who's to say you're not involved in Dark Magic?"
Mari wasn't used to people hating on her or her family. Her mother was adored by the public and her father was considered a hero. She had forgotten that there were still some people out there that still saw her father as an evil Death Eater, rather than the man who had sacrificed everything to play Dumbledores' spy.
"But-"
"Your information was obvious but the confirmation is useful. Your father did lie. Now leave. The three of you. And stop wasting my time."
Mari was actually slightly relieved that he didn't want their help. She had a bad feeling about all of this.
"No, you need to listen to me, you said it yourself- how much blood is on my father's hands. Let me help you change that. Let me help correct one of his mistakes. Trust me."
"Did you not hear me, boy? I see no reason to trust you. So go. Now. Before I make you leave."
"Albus!" Mari hissed, backing up towards the door.
"Come on, mate, if there's one thing we're good at it's knowing where we're not wanted." Scorpius said, grabbing Albus by the arm, the three of them making to leave.
"I can think of one reason why you should trust them, Uncle." Delphi said, the three of them stopping. Mari turned and watched the nurse walk forwards, propping the photo that Amos had laid down up now. "They're the only ones volunteering to help. They're prepared to bravely put themselves at risk to return your son to your side."
Mari looked at the photo, feeling another drop of dread fill her. She saw now why Amos had laid it down, because it was probably hard for him to look at it. It was a moving picture of Cedric with her mother, the two of them dressed in their Hufflepuff Quidditch gear. He had his arm wrapped around her, the two of them laughing.
"This is Cedric we're talking about. . ." Amos protested.
"And- didn't you say yourself, having someone inside Hogwarts might be a massive advantage?" Delphi asked, before kissing the top of his head.
"Why? Why do you want to put yourself at risk? What's in it for you?" Amos demanded.
"I know what it is to be the spare. Your son didn't deserve to be killed, Mr. Diggory. We can help you get him back."
Amos' voice cracked as he responded. "My son- my son was the best thing that ever happened to me- and you're right, it was an injustice- a gross injustice. If you're serious. . ."
"We're deadly serious." Albus said.
"This is going to be dangerous."
"We know."
"Do we?" Scorpius asked.
"Delphi- perhaps if you were prepared to accompany them?" For some reason, that made Mari very uncomfortable. She felt the same aversion to this woman as she had when she'd come upstairs when they'd been visiting her house.
"If that would make you happy, Uncle."
"You do understand even getting the Time-Turner will risk your lives?" Amos questioned.
"We're ready to put your lives at risk."
Scorpius and Mari exchanged a frantic look, "Are we?"
"I hope you have it in you." Amos said gravely.
But as Delphi led the three of them out of Amos' room, Mari looked back at the photo of her Mom and Cedric. There was this adoring look in her mothers' eyes as she looked up at the son of Diggory. It was clear in the photo that her mother loved him. Had loved him.
And for the first time, Mari wondered if they were doing the right thing.

By then, musical programmes ran alongside athletic and strongman events in the first Olympic Games named Greek Pythian Games at the Sanctuary of Apollo, in Delphi (2). The Pythian Games were initially focused on athletic games, but it was initially dedicated to Apollo in representation of music. Further on, the Festival of the Vine Flower which included large drinking contests, performances held to honor Dionysus, dancing and music. This music festival pattern live long and extended through middle ages, adapting its competitions and performances to each place, type of music and also customizing some of its characteristics throughout the centuries.
Festivals were held to honour Gods, celebrate important events such as contests and strengthen the sense of unity among population in Ancient Civilizations. During the Renaissance and Baroque periods European composers and musicians started to celebrate concerts in public places, outside palaces and churches as well as performing open-air dramas with music (Passion Plays in Oberammergau Bavaria, Germany) back in early seventeenth century.
In the Nineteenth Century folk festivals emerged as a way to promote a sense of identity though dance and traditional music in outdoor places as well. The 1960s celebration of music, peace, love and unity made a big change after Monterrey International Pop Festival (California,1967) and Woodstock Festival (Bethel, New York, 1969), inspiring other festivals like Glastonbury (Pilton, Somerset, England, 1970),in the UK.
Many other festivals arouse after Woodstock Festival´s success (Newport Folk and Jazz Festival, 1959, Reading and Leeds Festival (Berskshire, Leeds, UK, 1971), Roskilde Festival ( Denmark, 1971), PINKPOP (Netherlands, 1970), Montreal International Jazz Festival (Canada, 1980),  Lollapalooza (in Chicago and other locations, 1991), Coachella (Indio, California, 1999) or Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival (Tennesee, USA,  2002)).

Music festivals improve social health and well-being of any age range person as they lower down stress levels and probability of depression, personally and within a group since we share collectively music shows. For young attendees might be a first time to explore, travel and spend time with friends, for middle age adults it can represent a different vacation time. Whatever the prism with which you look at it, it reports a benefit to each individual and to the social groups attending as well.
Many music festivals count on other entertaining activities besides music, offering yoga sessions, gong baths and other oriental therapies and techniques to make you feel healthier. There are also massage rooms where you can apply many therapies to yourself and hiking tours in the surroundings of the festival field, as an intermission break between concert days (3).  Diversity can be found on a variety of food truck and kiosk food offer and normally local flavours can be tasted in this format. So if you like to try new food, this is another add-on to music festivals.
It is people who make places, not the opposite. At music festivals you will always encounter any type of people who misbehave or are not just the best company (the fewest) or, on the contrary, people with whom you will have a long friendship after the fest. As there is always a personal choice, be aware of your choices and enjoy the show.
If on a sum, you like to spend some days in a camp tent with friends (there are other options if plain floor is too tough for you, but is not as fun), entertain yourself at a high level, get to see many artists at a glance, get to know new people and make friends, while listening to the newest and best artists, feel free to stay dancing and singing until daylight, dress however you feel like and enjoy the best visual arts on stages, Music Festivals are the best option for you. From planning the trip till gathering with your friends at the music fest field, let those memories walk along with you forever as the nicest reminiscence tend to be the most unexpected.
Thanks for smiling and dare to live the Unexpected!

The Limitations of Persistence in the Pursuit of Desires
Tumblr media
The Limitations of Persistence in the Pursuit of Desires
You are Admired & Respected
“Success is predictable” - Brian Tracy.
“Persistence has not altered or given you what you desire, the fundamentals to your existence does not allow you to secure truly as your wants, this is the reality of your pursuits from the inaction of Titan, but you were not able to negate the Titan Gods and we view your persistence with great amusement” – Crius ‘God of Constellations, Underworld’ - Andrew Rogers ‘Titan Auteur, Writer, Oracle’.
Your unwavering determination to attain your desires has not yielded the desired outcome. The very essence of your being hampers true fulfilment, leaving you unable to truly secure what you long for. This is the harsh reality of your pursuits—an outcome influenced by the inaction of Titan. Despite your inability to remove the Titan Gods, we, the celestial observers, find great amusement in your persistence.
But fear not, for it is through these constant efforts that growth and wisdom are cultivated. Trials and tribulations pave the path to self-discovery and enlightenment. Embrace the challenges that come your way, for they provide the opportunity to transcend limitations and uncover hidden strengths.
In the vast cosmic tapestry, every star and constellation has a purpose, just as you do. Now, with knowledge and awareness, forge ahead, aligning your desires with the ebb and flow of the universe. The celestial dance continues, and with each step, you draw closer to the manifestation of your dreams.
Remember, the gods watch over you, amused by your unwavering determination. Harness this amusement as fuel to propel you forward, for even in the face of adversity, your spirit remains unyielding.
Crius ‘God of Constellations, Underworld’
In Greek mythology, Crius, also known as Kreios or Krios, is regarded as one of the Titans, a powerful group of deities who preceded the Olympians. Described in Hesiod's Theogony, Crius is the son of Uranus (the sky) and Gaia (the earth). While Crius is not as individually distinct as some of the other Titans, his presence in Greek mythology holds great significance.
The Titans are a generation of powerful gods who ruled the cosmos before being overthrown by the Olympians in a violent conflict known as the Titanomachy. Crius was among those who fought against the Olympians, ultimately losing in this epic battle. Despite his defeat, Crius played an essential role as one of the foundational deities in Greek mythology.
According to M. L. West, Hesiod, the poet who chronicled much of Greek mythology, expanded the list of Titans by incorporating figures from the ancient traditions of Delphi. Coeus and Phoibe, along with Crius, were included among the Titans by Hesiod. They were significant figures connected to the oracle of Delphi, a renowned shrine dedicated to Apollo. Phoibe's name was even adopted by Apollo as he assumed control of the oracle.
Crius, in particular, held importance as the father of Perses and the grandfather of Hecate. Hecate, often depicted as a triple-formed goddess associated with witchcraft, magic, and crossroads, held a special place in Hesiod's works. Hesiod showcased his enthusiasm for Hecate and her lineage, which directly involved Crius.
The role of Crius in Greek mythology extends beyond his familial connections. As a Titan, he represented the old era of divine rule and power, opposing the rise of the Olympian gods. Crius and his fellow Titans embody the primordial forces of the universe, symbolizing the ancient cosmic order predating the Olympian regime.
While some details about Crius may have variations across different ancient sources, his significance as a Titan and his connection to influential deities like Hecate cannot be overlooked. Crius represents a pivotal figure in Greek mythology, symbolizing both the great power and eventual defeat of the Titans, and the transition to a new and dominant divine order with the rise of the Olympians.
In conclusion, Crius, also known as Kreios or Krios, is a Titan in Greek mythology whose role and significance extend beyond his individualized portrayal. As the father of Perses and the grandfather of Hecate, Crius played a crucial part in the lineage of important deities. Although ultimately defeated in the Titanomachy, Crius represents the ancient cosmic order and the transitional period in Greek mythology.

In a bit less than two months I’m taking a cruise that takes me back to a place I haven’t been in almost 40 years.....Mykonos.  This was back in the 80s when we didn’t worry about skin cancer.....and credit for my hair goes to Sun In (if you remember that stuff you are probably old too). I can’t decide whether to laugh or cry remembering how I was sure I was too fat back then.
Anyhow it was my first international trip (if you don’t count Canada with my parents), and I took it with a student/young adult group called AESU which apparently still exists.  I was in love, and after I booked the trip my then-boyfriend decided to come along.....proof, I was sure, that he truly loved me and we would be together forever.   That didn’t happen, but it was a lifechanging trip for sure, back in the days of no internet/cellphones and so little, if any contact with the world back home.  We wandered Athens and Delphi before heading out to some of the islands.
To give some context, in 1982 the movie Summer Lovers came out.  It starred a very young Darryl Hannah and the premise was that she and her boyfriend went to Santorini for the summer and over the course of the summer they explored breaking conventional relationship boundaries.  Mykonos figured prominently in the film as a place where the young and beautiful and rich went to play.
And it was definitely a place to play.  Although we weren’t rich, we were a young and energetic group who had no problem drinking Amstel and dancing literally until the sun came up.
Some people find that scents bring back memories....for me, its often music.  There were two songs that played over and over (and over) again in every single club we visited...One was “Ride the White Horse” and the other was in Spanish, with a melody I never forgot, but could never find again.
Until one day, I was listening to Pit Bull’s Globalization.  (Depending on your taste in music that could be a good thing or just a guilty pleasure).  One of the things I love about the station is that so many of the mixes involve songs that I attach to good times in my past - a lot of disco, for example.  Even so, I was shocked to hear the melody of the song I’d loved but was never able to find again.  Thanks to the magic of Google, I found out what it was.....and unlike so many things from the past that didn’t age well, for me this song did....It brings back late nights dancing with friends and strangers under the stars, ouzos all around, and telling stories of our life....which at that time were short enough that we could generally get through the basics in a few hours.  These days I’m sure I’ve forgotten much more than I remember.
So I never forget it again, I bring you La Colegiala, the song that brings me back to a magical place and a magical time when I was young.

Other Gods and Their Epithets - The Muses Hello philoi!
We continue our series of posts dedicated to talking a little about the epithets, worship and relevant aspects of various deities with this time a group of Goddesses very relevant to the hellenic cultural tradition: The Muses!
Described as the ones behind the inspiration to poets, thinkers, historians and writers in general, the Muses are the patrons of all sorts of ancient art. It is said that Pythagoras made offerings of oxen when he made some discovery in geometry, and that ancient poets made offerings to Them before beginning their songs. We see invocations to the Muses by the most varied authors and poets, up to the present day.
More commonly we see them grouped into nine, these being referred to in mythology as the daughters of Zeus, King of the Gods, and of Mnemosyne, the Titan Goddess of memories and inventress of words.
Less commonly, we see other groupings of Muses, some described as daughters of Apollo, others being even older than the daughters of Zeus, being daughters of Uranus, the Heavens, and Gaia, the Earth.
Finally, we continue detailing their most common epithets, names and descriptors below.
Tumblr media
The most common places of cult to the Muses that we have on record concern Mount Helicon in Boeotia and Pieria in Macedonia. Both iconic regions associated with myths of their birth that contained temples to the Muses in the past.
Before we focus on their epithets, as this is a collective of deities, we'll focus on their names.
The Nine Muses of Pieria (Daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne)
Called Pierides (in Greek Πιεριδες), these Muses are the best known and represented in art. Daughters of the union of Zeus and Mnemosyne, their names, meaning of each name and domains are:
Calliope, (Beautiful Voice) muse of eloquence and epic poetry Euterpe, (Giving Delight) muse of lyric poetry Thalia, (Festivity, Blooming) muse of comedy Melpomene, (To celebrate with song and dance) muse of tragedy Erato, (Lovely) muse of erotic and love poetry Polyhymnia, (Many hymns) muse of sacred literature and religious hymns Urania, (Celestial) muse of astronomy and astrology Clio, (Make famous) muse of history Terpsichore, (Who delights in dancing) muse of dance and choirs.
Of all the variations of this group of deities, the Nine Muses of Pieria are said to be the best known and have individual domains assigned to each. Until today, they are represented in artistic works alongside Apollo, god of light and the arts in general, as His companions, lovers (in several myths) and domain partners.
In epithets they are also called Castalides (from the fountain of Castalia), Helikonides (from Mount Helicon) or Parthenoi Helikoniai (Maidens of Helicon).
The epithets of the Muses are quite relative to their place of worship as it can be seen, being also called Olympiades (of Mount Olympus), Ilysiades (of the Ilysian River) or Pegasides (of Pegasus, the winged horse said to have created the fountains of Hippocrene on Helicon with its hooves, where the Muses resided).
The Titanid Muses (Daughters of Uranus and Gaia)
A grouping of Muses described by the ancient Spartan poet Alcman and later by other writers such as the romans Pausanias and Cicero. Their number however varies between 3 - 4 Goddesses, there is no general consensus. Below are the names of these Goddesses of the arts.
Meletê (Practice) / Mneme (Memory) / Aoide (Song) / Arkhê (Beginning) / Thelxinoe (Enchanter of Minds)
Different authors grouped the daughters of Uranus and Gaia among the names above, and it is worth mentioning that the fragments that report the names of these Titanid Muses are as old as the 7th century BCE (Before the Common Era), around a century or two after the death of Hesiod and Homer.
The Apollonian Muses (Daughters of Apollo)
A third grouping of Muses was also worshiped in antiquity, particularly at Delphi. These Goddesses of the arts would be daughters of the Olympian God of light, without a mother attested in ancient accounts. Their names come in two variations, following below.
Cephysus (From the river Cephysus) / Apollonis (of Apollo) / Borysthenis ([?] + Strength)
The three were also called by names referring to the notes of the lyre:
Nete (low note of the lyre) / Mese (middle note of the lyre) / Hipate (high note of the lyre)
Regardless of which group of Muses, all of them are linked to mastery over the arts, knowledge and inspiration for different processes where the mind and creativity are linked. For our hellenic spirituality, Their presence is indispensable, since worship and celebration are made by utilizing the arts of the Muses - singing, rejoicing in hymns and praises that invoke the Theoi.
It is interesting to analyze, from a modern point of view, that the Nine Muses in particular are children of Memory (Mnemosyne) and are directly linked to the reason why so much ancient hellenic culture has come down to us. The arts, stories, poetry and hymns inform and educate us about many of the deities, being an essential component in hellenic spirituality and ethos.
Furthermore, the Muses are essential deities with a vast domain. May They continue to inspire us and instill the fine arts in the depths of our hearts. Let's close the post with Their homeric hymn:
I will begin with the Muses and Apollo and Zeus. For it is through the Muses and Apollo that there are singers upon the earth and players upon the lyre; but kings are from Zeus. Happy is he whom the Muses love: sweet flows speech from his lips. Hail, children of Zeus! Give honour to my song! And now I will remember you and another song also.
Outros Deuses e Seus Epítetos - As Musas

Despite their rising domestic popularity, GIRL TALK did not become successful internationally until 2019 with their song Fancy, a mature concept, a stark contrast to their usual bubblegum pop sound while maintaining their upbeat style.
Dubbed the Princesses of K-pop, they are considered one of the most successful Korean girl groups internationally. They are stylistically recognized by their versatile sound ranging from bubblegum pop to girl crush to funk rock.
GIRL TALK is considered to be one of the best live vocal groups in K-pop and is known for their highly synchronized and complex dance routines, having been awarded the Best Dance Performance Award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards two times in a row for their dance performance.

For Delphi and Solomon 7, 14 and 28?
Aahhh!! Thank you for asking about Solomon! I need to work out relationship dynamic stuff!
7. Who is more sentimental?
Solomon for sure. He's got a few thousand years on Delphi, and while she has that certain amount of nostalgia that every millennial has, it's nothing compared to Solomon.
14. Are they an introverted couple or an extroverted one—AKA would they prefer to go out to a party or event together or would they rather stay in?
Both being pact mates with Asmo? Of course they're going out. Catch these two at The Fall probably every other weekend as long as it's not exam time. Honestly, Delphi's probably sandwiched between the two with both of them grinding on her on the dance floor. (And she goddamn loves it!)
28. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family?
Other than Satan and Asmo, most of the brothers don't trust Solomon that much and that's Delphi's main family/friend group. Obviously the Purgatory Hall gang are all close. But by the time everyone else meets Delphi's brother, she and Sol are on the rocky road to learning to trust again after season 2, so he doesn't get to really get to know Cody. (And I haven't really thought much beyond where I am in the story, so she'd still be pretty chilly towards him.)
Thank you so much for playing, Hack! These were fun to think about!!

Ryūzō's Thoughts on Edogawa Division
Tumblr media
Kiromiya Yuriko
Ryūzō looks at Yuriko's photo. His expression is emotionless, though, if one looks closely, there is a very small sense of dread in his eyes. "Kiromiya Yuriko. The woman whom many dubbed as 'The Black Dahlia.' ...I won't lie. I've faced down countless assassins, mercenaries, hitmen, sadists, killers, etc. And none of them have bothered me as much as this woman has. We've only crossed blades once, and that was probably the first and only time I actually feared for my life.
"I can't even recall what the mission was about, but we met one another and engaged each other in a dance of death. It was only when I received a report that the mission had been cancelled did I withdraw. But as I retreated, I could tell the both of us knew this wouldn't be the last time we'd cross blades." Ryūzō looks at Yuriko's photo once again.
"I guess we were both right..."
Shinozaki Kaoru
"...I've never met this girl, but I do recall a job involving someone with the name of 'Delphi.' Apparently, there was a talented hacker that was causing a lot of trouble for some organizations and companies. Unfortunately, no one knew exactly who the hacker was. However, the companies didn't care and stated they'd pay whatever price was needed to ensure the hacker was taken care of. Me, I didn't see the point in taking the contract. Not because I didn't think I could do it. But I found the prospect of hunting and killing hackers to be boring."
Akemi Kanra
Ryūzō sighs at the photo of Kanra. "Kanra-chan is... I don't want to say 'difficult.' But she's obviously far different than the average high schooler. She often asks questions that you'd think a high schooler would be able to answer. If it weren't for the fact that she does well in my class, I'd actually think she has some mental problems. I can't tell if she is generally serious about the questions she asks, or if this is just some sort of trick.
"Besides that, because of her age and simple-mindedness, this often makes her the target of teasing by some of the other students. I often have to stop it quickly before it escalates. Not because I don't think Kanra-chan can't take care of herself, but because I've seen what she can do when she is upset. And I'd rather not have angry parents coming down to the Academy wondering who it was that hurt their children."
Wicked Requiem
"Slippery cunning, rough wisdom, and impressive brawn. It makes for a very versatile group. Yuriko has put together an impressive group. It makes me wonder what her reasoning is... I'll have to keep an eye out for them in this D.R.B."

“Deliberately concealed for centuries, the history of African prophecy is the oldest and most enduring and replicated in the world. It pre-dates and is the direct inspiration from which Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity were developed. Contrary to western revisionists history, African deities, sacred ritual and culture dominated the ancient world, and reached high levels of spiritual development and theological and cultural sophistication from its rudimentary beginnings in ancient Africa.
Most in the Diaspora and indeed the world, are familiar with the traditional village religious culture so maligned in the West. However, few are aware that the same deities, and their off-spring are responsible for the major systems of western theological and religious faiths now heavily altered and revised to both conceal its African roots, and to establish the current theological framework of the biblical western world.”
Historically, the Sibyls were the first global female oracles or prophetesses in the ancient world; their prophecies being the most accurate and relied upon by the people of the time. While this is known as fact to many today, what many, however, do not know is that the Sibyl tradition in fact has its origin in Africa in the form of what is known to many as the Amengensie tradition, and that “it was the Sibyl prophecies of whom the emerging patriarchal Christian and Levitical Judaic cults seized, altered and attributed to their “prophets” during their bitter wars for global domination after the fall of Egypt, Mycenae and ancient Carthage”.
The Amengansie
In her The Ancient African “Oracle” Tradition Of Amengansie’, American born, Chief, Hounon-Amengansie, Mama Zogbé writes that “In the West African Vodoun (and current African-American) traditions, an Amengan-sie (Ah-mah-gah-see) is defined as a high-priestess whose primary function is divination”. This includes, but not limited to, communication with the dead (ancestors), the African deities, and the destine souls of the living. Hence, the Amengansie is an ancient tradition in which the dead, the deities, and the souls of the living actually come in direct contact during consultation to speak. This tradition is an ancient, ancestral matriarchal tradition passed down from generation to generation.
“Although there are some male Amengan-sies,” Mama Zogbe notes, “99% are women.” “However, in the West,” she continues, “there are an increasing number of males who are being called to take on the tradition of their ancestors.”
In the second part of the same article, under the heading ‘Amengansie, 10,000 Year Old Slave Tradition’ Zogbe who states that she inherited the tradition from her great-great-grand-mother, who was chief Amengansie in the U.S. during Slavery, writes that “If ever there was an ancestral tradition that dispels the myth regarding the ancient origins of the Vodoun tradition or the system of slavery being confined to the West, it is that of the Amengansie.” This being the case, she further explains that the Amengansie predates its current West African location and has its ancient ancestral origins in the East of Africa where they were more commonly known as Sibyls.
Known universally as the “Black Doves”, the Sibyls were often referred to by other names such as “Sisters of Isis”, and “prophetesses of the Black Di-ana of Euphesus”. The ‘dove’―an Afro-mystical symbol for the sacred soul or the ‘holy spirit’―would later be adopted by the emerging Christian cults. It was the Sibyl matriarchal groups who settled at Asia Minor in what is now modern Turkey, and installed the worship of Mami―a spirit whom they venerated as “Laocoon with her serpents”―more than 2500 years prior to the Greek and later Turk invasions.
However, during the rise of African patriarchy in ancient Egypt, the Sibyls were frequently sold into slavery where they were forced to work in the male (priestly) controlled Sun/Thunder temples in the Egyptian colonies in Libya and at Dodona, and at Delphi in ancient Greece, Rome and other African temples scattered throughout the ancient world. During the decline and the dismantlement of the African matriarchs, many of the Sybiles were exiled, or also condemned as “harlots”, “infidels,” “false prophetesses” and “witches.” This led to many fleeing for safety, but most who were unable to flee were either killed or enslaved should they refused to convert to the religion of their conquerors. Their forced migration―by the emerging patriarchal Judaic, Christian and Mohammedan Islamist invaders, etc.―drove them from East to West Africa.
“It was these foreign invaders Zogbe writes, “who carried out the final destruction of the Sibyl temples, and converted (forever concealing) the multi-faceted images of the African mother deities into the ethnic faces passed down to the West today. During the entrenchment of African patriarchy, many Sibyls were persecuted, and stripped of their sacerdotal pre-eminence, and ultimately forced to the foreground of African religious, social and political life where they remain today.”
Contrary to erroneous Western historical speculations that the enslavement of Africans in the West is largely an isolated phenomena rooted in African chieftaincy ambitions, the history of African enslavement in reality follows a continuum which began in the North-East of Africa more than 2000 years ago.
In the Amengansie and Vodoun traditions of West Africa, the songs, proverbs, dances, and lore are dominated by the history of slavery which pre-dates the one in the New World.
In its closing remark, the website first mention in the course of writing affirms that “the Amengansie tradition, still extant today, is an off-spring rooted in the ancient tradition of the Sibyls. The Sibyls were varied in both their talents and spiritual abilities… Just as the ancient Sibyls, the Amengansie priesthood is an ancestral calling born from the lineages of the ancient descendants who were captured and enslaved throughout the world. Their story, hidden for centuries, is a fascinating journey, that once fully understood, will reveal the ancestral and spiritual legitimacy and continuity of African sacerdotal history and its progeny now scattered throughout the western world.”
