Deliver Us Moon

This is a game from 2018, I recently played it for the first time and it was really good, so I thought maybe I had to share my thoughts.

Long story short - game is about one women who makes a trip to the moon to find out why the fusion reactor on it went out and why can’t get any communication with locals.

Things I liked:

1. Use of timers - they just make player to move and to feel the worry about the protagonist, to reach the goal in time. The timers were chosen very well, for a first gameplay for me, all stuff around was new, game mechanics new etc., there are many distractions so it will take longer compared to if I had played it before. There were situations where I barely made it, like a few spare seconds was left, so I thought they probably spent quite a time perfecting those timers, because I really felt like I walked on a knife's edge.

2. Preflight manual and docking - I really loved that I had to press buttons, pull levers etc., I started to feel like I really am one who are in that rocket!

3. Sound effects were good, for example in the reactor I liked those low bass tones, really feeled that vibration! Makes You believe that there are something big.

4. As this game is more about exploring, puzzle solving, I am grateful that they didn’t put those evil drones in many places, but only in one room. So player can explore surroundings and not worry about enemy.

Things maybe would be nice to have:

1. Custom saving - save where the player wants, because some places where was possibility to die, was most painful, because I had to redo everything from the last checkpoint. But on the other hand, the game makes the player to be more careful and think more about actions he will do.

2. Some puzzles and places felt a bit off and that reduces the immersive feeling in game. Example scene at reactor, there had to press button behind it, so I had to go through the reactor, I afterwards asked myself: Who would in real life put some kind of control button inside the reactor? It felt illogical.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUNAR! Supposedly. Had this thought about Lunar's bday today and how he must've seen Eclipse smile nicely before. And totally doesn't think about that and what could've been. He's alluded to things like this before. It's not that he wants his Eclipse back, it's just knowing what you know now vs then. Anyway, he was made from Eclipse's 'happy thoughts'. Now he's someone else. And he remembers it.

I just finished this masterpiece. I'm crying.

It's one of those small games with a small budget, that are hidden gems. The story is HOHOHOHOHOHOHO. I cried. I truly cried with this game. If you like videogames related to Space like Outer wilds, you'll like this game. It's the kind of game where you don't know anything in the beginning and little by little you discover things by yourself. THE PLOT TWISTS?! OMG. THE END?! HOHOHOHOHO.

I recommend it so much.

My computer does not have the best graphics, but neither are they bad

So if I can't run your simple, low action game, on the lowest of settings, then you have failed as a game designer

Valve could do this and it could run on a potato

You are not triple A, stop requiring triple A graphics

oh boy i sure love to spend hours downloading a game only to encounter a game-breaking bug IN THE PROLOGUE that reinstalling the game and all the other fixes don't fix. a bug that has been documented multiple times according to the internet :)
