DAY 4850
Jalsa, Mumbai                  June 8/9,  2021               Tue/Wed 12:08 AM
Birthday Ef - Ashesh Dave ,USA .. Monday, June 7 .. belated greetings if this date is correct .. love
Birthday EF - Naresh Bhatt ..  Ratna Mukherjee .. Wednesday, June 9 .. and the wishes of all the Ef for this special day of yours .. and the love .. and be safe 🙏 ..
.. there was an unlocking of the conditions that we were in , in a somewhat cautious mode .. the instigation came from the decline in the graphs and the easing of the numbers in the CoviD realm ..
Maharashtra and Delhi seem to be in better shape .. the digits show a graph that slopes down and the release of the orders to relax some of the stringent measures has taken shape .. selected movements are permitted, but the precautions must be observed .. mask, distance, vaccinations, washing .. all to be in place ..
and .. certain essential services have been opened up .. bars , parlours, restaurants with limited numbers 50% and also film work .. work till 4pm only .. after that no movements or work .. so some quick scheduling is taking place and in all probability its donning make up within a few days, and off to the studio ..
Work for the betterment of those that are in need and suffer continues ..
The Oxygen Concentrators ordered from overseas have arrived and almost 50 of them have been distributed out to Hospitals that look after patients free of cost .. some of it shall be going tomorrow to the Care Centre we opened at Rithambara School, which we initiated with a 25 bed facility, and hope to add another 50 beds to it ..
Almost 150 oxygen concentrators that were designated for the Gurudwaara facility in Delhi , and that I had managed to import from Poland, have already been cleared and are in operation at the facility, and this is most heartening ..
5 Ventilators , of the 20 other ordered -  an equipment that has had great difficulty in procuring - have arrived and we are sending them to some of the prominent Hospitals that do exemplary work in treating the very poor and needy .. each drop counts and all of us are dedicated in doing our best .. though huge amounts of the necessary needs are in position or in manufacturing and shall soon make it feasible for our needs .. private manufacturers are in the midst of producing the required Vaccines in the multiple crores / millions, and all of us are taking personal interest in seeing that our own private facilities as also the Manufacturing facilities in their factories are vaccinating all the employees, to get the numbers adding on each hour ..
My own entire shooting unit, that shall be starting work on my film ‘GoodBye’ in a few, have all been vaccinated by the Production, and extreme precautions are in place to maintain precaution .. every set room is sanitised after every short break and they that report for work are tested before they can enter the studio .. and every other day random tests are done ; the infected blocked and sent home or to Hospital, immediately ..
The conditions at home too were severe .. none of the staff whether in the house or working outside were allowed to travel out of the premise .. once they were in after tests, they remained in .. they worked and when the shift was over, they were given place to stay back and looked after during the entire lockdown .. quarantine rooms were made in office for those that were coming from out of town or from their homes outside the city, the protocol as stipulated by Doctors and Hospitals was maintained strictly, and only after the stipulated time was over the test done for negative were they allowed to get back to their specific work ..  all precautions maintained .. masks on ,hand washing frequently and distances maintained .. and all getting vaccinated as soon as the time table prepared by the Authorities falls in place ..
The responsibility of each home each individual person is primary and a must .. we must adhere to the given discipline ourselves, so we can look after the discipline of others ..
Often when the laxity is announced there is a feeling that all is well and we get back to being normal .. this is NOT correct .. yes , laxity is considered , because survival is essential too .. BUT maintaining the essential protocol of preventions is paramount ..
The virus is the opponent that we battle in a game of sports .. in the boxing ring, on the cricket field, on the football grounds, on the Tennis courts , on Basketball courts , at athletic events and every sporting event .. we all devise strategies of defeating the other .. the ‘other’ today is the virus and we have to have, a combined unified effort, to defeat this enemy, this opponent - knock him down to the count of 10 ; bowl him out with an innings defeat ; score that final goal into the net in the extra time even and win the championships ; whack that forehand down the side line and win the Grand Slam title ;  basket that last second ball to win the national interstate series ; be the Usain and break the tape in the world record ; be the Saina and PV Sindhu and WIN .. Phogat the opponent freestyle wrestler to the ground, and get the ‘Gold’ for the Country ..
GET THE ‘GOLD’ FOR THE COUNTRY , IN THE DEFEAT OF THE VIRUS  !!
God and the Almighty above us .. and we in prayer  .. 🙏🙏🙏

It led the country and its economy isolated from the world economy.  However the scenario started changing from the mid-1980s, when India began opening up its market slowly through economic liberalization. The policy played a huge impact on the economic development of India.  The Indian economic development got a boost through its economic reform in 1991 and again through its renewal in the 2000s. Since then, the face of economic development of India has changed completely. Need for Economic Development  The economic reform of 1991 played a pivotal role in the economic development of India. Reaping its benefit, the growth of the country reached around 7.5% in the late 2000s. It is also expected to double the average income within a decade. According to the analysts, if India can push more fundamental market reforms, it will be able to sustain the rate and can even achieve the government's target of 10% by 2011.  India is world's 12th largest economy and also the 4th largest in terms of purchasing power parity adjusted exchange rates (PPP). It is the 128th largest in the world on per capita basis and 118th by PPP. However, states have a major role to play in the economic development of India. There are few states which have higher annualized 1999-2008 growth rates comparing to others. The growth rates for the states like Gujarat (8.8%), Haryana (8.7%) and Delhi (7.4%) are considerably higher than other states like Bihar (5.1%), Uttar Pradesh (4.4%) and Madhya Pradesh (3.5%). Developing Economies  According to Jocob Viner  A Developing country has good potential for using more capital, more labour or more available natural resources or all of these to support its population on a higher level of living.  A Developing Country can be explained on the basis of following points.  Real Per Capita Income.  Standard of living.  Inter Relationship between Under Developed and Developing Economy.  A developed economy is typically characteristic of a developed country with a relatively high level of economic growth and security. Standard criteria for evaluating a country's level of development are income per capita or per capita gross domestic product, the level of industrialization, the general standard of living, and the amount of technological infrastructure. Discussion: What can be different causes of Under development?????? Causes of Under Development  Low Per Capita Income.  Low Levels of Living.  Wide Spread Poverty.  Unequal Income Distribution.  Low Rate of Capital Formation.  Low Levels of Productivity.  High Rate of Population Growth.  High Levels of Unemployment and Underemployment. Causes of Under Development  Predominance of Agriculture Sector.  Dominance of Farm Sector in Foreign Trade.  Poor Quality of Human Capital.  Dualistic Character of Developing Economies.  Backward Infrastructure. Conclusion: Under Developed Countries are low income countries, suffering from slow rate of income growth, low standard of living, low rates of capital formation, low levels of technology and under utilization of resources. Dominance of primary sector in the national economy with large and expanding volume of population perpetuates poverty. However, these countries have a large potential for development. If adequate amount of capital is harnessed from domestic as well as foreign sources are used, judiciously, making use of modern technology, utilizing the productive resources of the respective countries , these Under Developed Countries too can achieve high rates of economic growth. Salient Features of Indian Economy.  India, as a developing country, features a mixed economy in the world. The major characteristics of developing economy are low per capita income, overpopulation, maximum population below the poverty line, poor infrastructure, agro based economy and ,lower rate of capital formation. Since, the independence of the country, India has been developing in many perspectives from the economic point of view. Although the Indian economy is developing in nature, it tends to move towards a developed economy. The major reforms in the Indian economy were done in the year 1991. Features of the Indian Economy 1. Low Per Capita Income The per capita income of India is much less than that of the developed countries. According to the estimates of the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the per capita net national income of India at present prices for the year 2015-16 was approximately Rs. 93231 /-. 2. Agro-Based Economy: Indian economy is totally agro-based economy. Near about 14.2 % of Indian GDP is contributed by agriculture and allied sectors while 53% of the total population of the country depends upon the agriculture sector. 3. Overpopulation: Overpopulation is one of the major concerns of the Indian economy. The population of India gets increased by about 20% in every decade. Around 17.5% of the world population is possessed by India. Features of the Indian Economy 4. Disparities in Income: The most alarming thing in the Indian economy is the concentration of wealth. According to the latest report, 1% of Indians own 53% of the wealth of the country. Among this, the top 10% owns a share of 76.30%. The report states that 90% of the country owns less than a quarter of the country’s wealth. 5. Downfall in Capital Formation: Rate of capital formation is positively correlated with lower level of income. There is huge downfall in Gross Domestic Capital compared to the previous years. 6. Poor Infrastructural Development: According to a recent study, around 25% of Indian families cannot have access to electricity and 97 million people cannot have access to safe drinking water. Sanitation services cannot be accessed by 840 million people. India requires 1 00 million dollar to get rid of this infrastructural backwardness. Features of the Indian Economy 7. Imperfect Market: Indian markets are imperfect as there is lack of mobility from one place to another which contracts the optimum utilization of resources. As a result, price fluctuation occurs. 8. Vicious Circle of Poverty: India is a perfect example of the term 'a country is poor because it is poor.' The vicious circle of poverty traps these countries. 9. Outdated technology: Indian production is labour-intensive in nature. There is a lack of modern machinery and technologies. 10. Backward Society: Indian societies are trapped in the curse of caste system, communalism, male-dominated society, superstitions etc. The above factors are the major constraints of growth of Indian economy. Conclusion: Despite several negative aspects, there are some positive things in Indian economy. Various schemes of the Govt. have boosted up Indian economy in many ways. India is leading towards a better economic structure with the help of 'Make in India', 'Digital India,' etc. Conclusion  Though the Indian Economy is characterized with  Low level of national and per capita income.  Mass poverty.  Low productivity.  Low level of social indicators and many more. Still through the transitory character of Indian Economy, one can very well infer that the Indian Economy has a great potential of becoming strong industrial nation in near future. Check Your Progress: You must know the answer of following questions after completing the chapter 1.  Distinguish between ‘developing’ and ‘underdeveloped’ economy.  Discuss the main features of Indian economy to prove that it is a developing one.  Enumerate the characteristics of under developed economies.  Why do some economies develop whereas others remain under developed.  Is India a developing economy? Give in detail the features of Indian economy.  What are the main causes of under development of India? Do you think India is still an under developed country?  What is the need of economic development?

In the first phase of the US-India segment of the 'Operation Vande Bharat- A homecoming', flights have been planned from San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Washington DC to New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Bengaluru. As many as 1,961 Indians are likely to be repatriated through seven flights from the four cities in the first phase, officials said. 07:20 (IST) Coronavirus Outbreak in India Latest Update Total COVID-19 cases in India now at 59,662 with nearly 2,000 deaths The nationwide tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 59,662 on Saturday and the death toll rose to 1,981 with the country registering an increase of 95 deaths and 3,320 cases in 24 hours till Saturday morning, the Union Health Ministry said even as fresh infections among central armed police forces, and the repatriated Indians raised new concerns among experts. The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 39,834, while 17,846 people have recovered and one patient has migrated, the Union Health Ministry said. Coronavirus Outbreak LATEST Updates: The first batch of 326 Indian nationals stranded in the UK due to the coronavirus-linked global travel restrictions arrived here from London early on Sunday morning. The special evacuation flight AI 130, a Boeing 777 plane which departed from London on Saturday, landed at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) at around 1.30 AM with 326 Indians, according to PTI source. The nationwide tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 59,662 on Saturday and the death toll rose to 1,981 with the country registering an increase of 95 deaths and 3,320 cases in 24 hours till Saturday morning, the Union Health Ministry said even as fresh infections among central armed police forces, and the repatriated Indians raised new concerns among experts. The number of active COVID-19 cases stood at 39,834, while 17,846 people have recovered and one patient has migrated, the Union Health Ministry said. Saturday also saw Maharashtra crossing the 20,000 mark, as per official figures released by the state health department, with the state now accounting for one-third of the total confirmed cases in the country, while large numbers of cases continued to get detected in Gujarat, Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, the Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said the testing capacity for COVID-19 has been ramped up to around 95,000 tests per day and a total of over 15 lakh tests have been conducted so far across hundreds of government and private labs. However, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the two new cases in his state -- two foreign returnees who had reached Kerala on 7 May in two separate flights under a massive ongoing evacuation plan of the Central Government --  is a warning for all states to be on an alert to strengthen their "mitigation efforts and preventive measures." Many more similar flights from abroad are reaching Kerala and several other states over the next few days under what is being called the 'Vande Bharat' mission. Besides the arrival of a large number of Indians stranded abroad, experts have also warned that the numbers may rise further in the coming days due to the ongoing movement of lakhs of migrant workers being facilitated by trains and buses to help them reach their native places. On Saturday, the situation remained worrying in India's major hotspots like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Chennai, among others. While Mumbai cases reached 12,864 cases, with the metropolis now accounting for more than of Maharashtra's total infections, the adjoining Thane district crossed the 2000-mark. In Chennai, the number of cases linked to the Koyambedu market cluster reached 1,867 with the market for vegetables, flowers and fruits eclipsing the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi (in which about 1,500 people from Tamil Nadu had taken part in March) for the dispersion of the virus.   Besides, reports of fresh infections in the Central Armed Police Forces, which is responsible for providing security along the border as well as securing key industries and establishments, presenting a fresh challenge for the Central Government. Goa, on the other hand, which is classified as a green zone with no coronavirus positive case as of now, hinted that it may allow holding of music classes and reopening of some state-run libraries in a phased manner on the condition of maintaining strict social distancing norms. Cases from states: Maharashtra crosses 20,000 mark On Saturday, Maharashtra reported 1,165 new coronavirus patients, taking the tally of COVID-19 cases in the state to 20,228. The state also reported death of 48 patients, taking the death toll to 779, said a health department official. Among those died of COVID-19 on Saturday was a 51-year-old police constable from Maharashtra's Nashik district, an official said. This is the sixth death of a police personnel due to COVID-19 in the state, the official added. Meanwhile, in Gujarat, the number of coronavirus cases in Gujarat climbed to 7,797 on Saturday with 394 new cases coming to light, while death toll rose to 472 with 23 more deaths, a senior health official said. Of the total new cases, 280 were reported from hotspot Ahmedabad, along with 20 more deaths on Saturday, taking the total case count to 5,540 in the district and fatalities to 363, a health department official said. In Gujarat, the number of patients who died in 24 hours since Friday evening — 23 — was the lowest in the last seven days, Principal Secretary (Health) Jayanti Ravi said. Four COVID-19 deaths were reported in Tamil Nadu on Saturday with the state recording 526 more positive cases, including a five day old baby, taking the total number to 6,535, the health department said. The deceased were all women, with three hailing from Chennai and one from Ramanathapuram. With this, the death toll has gone up to 44, a health department bulletin said. Of the total of 526 positive cases, Chennai continued to lead the numbers with 279, followed by Villupuram 67 and Chengalpattu at 40. In the National Capital Delhi also, 224 new COVID-19 cases were recorded to take its tally to 6,542. In Delhi, there was also confusion over the death toll as the data from the four hospitals showed more fatalities than the number reported by the Delhi government. Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain said there is no reason to hide anything and not a single case will go unaccounted for, but gave no explanation for the discrepancy. There has been a mismatch in the numbers of West Bengal also for several days with the state government's figures being lower than that of the Union Health Ministry. On the outskirts of the National Capital, Noida reported its second COVID-19 death while its total cases rose to 216. The overall figure for Uttar Pradesh also rose. Rajasthan recorded 76 more cases, while 36 new cases were detected in Karnataka too. In Bihar, five Bihar Military Police (BMP) personnel tested positive, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 579. In Assam, a dental college student's test came positive. Central forces report 116 new cases The growing number of infections in five Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) - CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and SSB -  under the command of the Union home ministry, has emerged as another challenge for the Central Government. On Saturday, at least 116 fresh coronavirus infections were reported by the uniformed organisation, taking the total number of positive personnel to over 650, officials said. Of the new cases, CRPF accounts for 62, BSF 35, CISF  13 and ITBP reported 6 fresh cases. As of now, the total active cases in these forces stands at 231 in CRPF, 256 in BSF, 48 in CISF and 100 in the ITBP. Five personnel of these forces have succumbed to the disease, a senior paramilitary officer said. After home minister Shah's review, the AIIMS in Jhajjar has been designated as a special coronavirus facility for the CAPF personnel apart from their 200-bedded referral hospital in Greater Noida. Health ministry revises policy for discharge The Union Health Ministry has also revised its policy for discharge of COVID-19 patients under which only those developing severe illness or having compromised immunity will have to test negative through RT-PCR test before being discharged by a hospital. Moderate cases of COVID-19 and pre-symptomatic, mild and very mild cases need not undergo tests before being discharged after resolution of their symptoms. According to the rules till now, a patient was considered fit to be discharged if he or she tested negative on day 14 and then again in a span of 24 hours. Political tussle over migrant trains continue The bodies of sixteen migrant labourers who were mown down by a goods train in Maharashtra's Aurangabad district were brought to Jabalpur by two bogies attached to a special train. From Jabalpur, the coaches were further sent to Shahdol and Umaria, said a police officer. Karnataka, which has been at the centre of a controversy over the state government disallowing migrants to leave the state, clarified on Saturday that migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons can hire and use buses provided by state-run road transport corporations on payment basis for travel to other states with relevant permissions. However, the political tussle over special trains for stranded migrant lbourers continued on Saturday with Union home minister Amit Shah, in a letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged that the state was not allowing trains with migrant workers reach the state and termed it as an "injustice" towards these workers. The state government, however, dismissed the charge by saying 6,000 stranded workers have already been brought back, and the state has given green signal to 10 trains carrying more such workers. This claim was rejected by Indian Railways with officials too saying that there was no proposal on record so far with the national transporter to run any more 'shramik' trains to the state. According to reports, so far only two trains ferrying migrants have reached West Bengal. The railways, however, on Saturday night said it had received "clearance" from West Bengal for running eight special trains to the state to ferry people stranded outside due to the ongoing lockdown. On Saturday, a war of words also erupted between the JD(U) and the AAP over train fares of 1,200 Bihar-bound migrant workers, with the Arvind Kejriwal dispensation saying that it bore the cost of ferrying the migrants, a claim rejected by the JD(U) which said the party was speaking half-truth on the issue. The ruling Janata Dal (United) in Bihar said the AAP-led Delhi government has sought reimbursement of the payment and accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of resorting to "cheap politics to gain popularity". Meanwhile, NCP chief Sharad Pawaron Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak to the chief ministers of states, who are not allowing migrants to return home. "I humbly request our @PMOIndia Shri Narendra Modi ji to intervene in this matter by talking to the CMs of the respective states who are not allowing these people to come back home," Pawar said in a series of tweets without mentioning any specific state. 362 people from West Asia arrive in Kochi As for Indians stranded abroad, two Air India Express flights carrying 362 people from Oman and Kuwait arrived at the international airport in Kochi on Saturday night. There were a total of 362 people, including eight infants in the flights which landed here from the two Gulf nations, a Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) spokesman said. Official sources said all the passengers would be subjected to COVID-19 rapid test at the airport before being transferred to their respective destinations by special taxis and KSRTC buses. They will go into quarantine after completing formalities at the airport. Another Air India Express flight from Doha, carrying 177 passengers and six infants, is expected to arrive here early hours on Sunday, sources said. Another special Air India flight carrying 177 Indians has left Kula Lumpur for Trichy, Tamil Nadu, ANI said. According to sources, three other Air India flights - from Singapore (with 243 passengers), from London with (329 passengers) and from Manila (241 passengers) are expected to reach Mumbai on Sunday. Globally, nearly 40 lakh people have tested positive for the deadly virus since its emergence in China last December, while approximately 2.75 lakh people have lost their lives. However, nearly 13 lakh people have recovered too, including nearly 2 lakh in the US and over 1.4 lakh in Germany. Germany and South Korea are among those countries that have been seen as having successfully avoided large number of deaths by their extensive testing and contact tracing measures. But, worries mounted on Saturday about fresh outbreaks in both the countries following various lockdown relaxations, thus raising the risks associated with reopening of economies. Check out the second version of The Distance, the Carletonian's weekly e-newsletter. We cowl how the Carleton community is adapting to on-line learning and distant work. For example, we ignored the clinical harms and attributable costs of COVID-19–associated morbidity and remedy. We also ignored the value of infections averted past the scholar inhabitants. However, a couple of assumptions (eg, our failure to account for the economic and high quality-of-life effects of false-positive outcomes) may pull within the path of less testing. Much is dependent upon the judicious administration of optimistic take a look at outcomes, both true and false. Rapid detection, confirmation, isolation, and treatment of true-optimistic cases is, in fact, important. We've additionally got a fantastic couple of Q&As—one with Tuscaloosa director Philip Harder, and one with Stevie P. We have a look at how social distancing will be implemented within the classroom, and the way New Student Week is going ahead underneath tough circumstances. It’s a scholar-produced podcast targeted on all things Carleton. The Lantern is the unbiased, award-winning scholar voice of Ohio State, covering sports, campus, politics, and arts and life. When I look back at my time at Bowdoin, I feel a mix of emotions. In a time when Disney’s theatrical output is hampered by the COVID disaster, and when its stay-motion TV sequence are shortly forgotten, it’s up to the corporate’s animated series to choose up the slack. Miami currently has 1,037 active scholar cases on the Oxford campus. St. Stephen’s College is a premier school of the University of Delhi. Men’s basketball would go on to return to the NCAA Tournament 4 more occasions before the turn of the century. All Metro stations in the D.C.-space are now open for the primary time since March, before the company cut prepare entry amid a rise in coronavirus cases. Students said they would not have succeeded or been happy with their college experience had they taken lessons remotely. Most of our assumptions are conservative, ie, they understate the value of more frequent testing. The 2020 Duke football season will lastly start as head coach David Cutcliffe and the Blue Devils tackle the brand new panorama of school athletics. North Carolina is in Phase 2.5 of COVID-19 restoration, which restricts restaurants to opening inside capability limits and not serving alcohol between eleven p.m. Given these limitations, businesses are finding inventive methods to maintain revenue margins up, from scaling up take-out to working with supply services. The largest college at American University, the College of Arts and Sciences features more than a hundred degree packages that span the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Our various, scholarly group offers excellent opportunities for hands-on interdisciplinary analysis, internships, and creative expression. We found that frequent screening with a test of modest sensitivity and a turnaround time of 8 hours can be required for this function. The higher problem lies in managing the overwhelming number of false-positives that can inevitably end result from repeated screening for low-prevalence situations. False-positive outcomes threaten to overwhelm isolation housing capacity, a danger whose gravity increases with screening frequency. The specificity of the initial take a look at will matter far more than its sensitivity. The lag mirrored each check turnaround delays and the time required to find and isolate recognized circumstances. Other colleges have eliminated nonconference flight journeys for budgetary causes, opting to attempt to schedule extra regional opponents. It's unclear whether the announcement will include a new focused start date. An announcement, which has long been anticipated, will likely be delivered inside every week, based on two sources. We also make a journey via the Carletonian’s archive to look at how the College reacted to a previous pandemic. After that, you'll discover a trove of sharp student Viewpoints about the emotional toll of COVID-19. The fourth installment of The Distance, the Carletonian's newsletter, is out now!
