watermelon if you can get it is another great fruit for hydrating, a lot of fruit and vegetables are. Like suggested above, Cold, simple and light meals will sit and settle better if your body isn’t used to it. Makes less heat for the house too.
*smoothies will be a godsend and my friend introduced me to pedialyte pops (I know for sure in the US) a few years ago when I was in the ER and severally dehydrated (it was a medical problem but the heat made it worse).
You can freeze them like otter pops and (don’t forget popsicles! Great way to hydrate also put frozen pineapple in your water if you have any or (freeze or use canned pineapple) and aren’t allergic. Delicious and hydrating.
Pedialyte pops are a lot cheaper in some ways than Gatorade cause you have 16 I think to a box (grape/cherry/blue raspberry/orange) and you can mix them with water and still get the benefits even if you don’t have a freezer. They run 4.49-4.99 a box at my local target and Walmart and I know some drug stores carry them and so does Amazon though that’s normally more expensive. And a lot of adults and kids have trouble drinking enough to hydrate so the pops make it easier.
They do have a leslpps sweet taste with and might take getting used to if you expect a perfect replica of otter pops but they’re worth it.
If needed, dehumidifiers make a HUGE difference but they do cost money in both buying and depending on the unit, electricity. Also you’ll have to be able to either set it up with a hose to a drain or committing to lugging the water chamber to a drain.
It’s not fun, but if you do take a cold shower, turning the water hotter after you’ve cooled down, right at the end, can help. It can help you feel cooler getting out.
Try to keep your pets and their water dishes/food bowls out of the sun. They have to have water outside, even if they only ever go out for a few minutes at a time. If you can get a small kiddie pool for water so they can cool off, even better but some dogs also appreciate cold showers or baths inside. Also don’t be afraid to hose off the dog and yourself and any friend and family who ask, it may seems silly but (once you’ve run all the boiling hot water out) the hose is a good way to get some fresh air and daylight without overheating. But still be cautious and try to do it early on the day or later in the evening so the suns not at the hottest which is typically mid day.
Oh if you have potted plants and can bring them inside, might need to do that. They’re going to get baked like a brick oven. The roots are gonna have a tough time and they’ll be thirstier than usual. If you can, deep watering your outdoor plants will work better than more frequent watering. Like, you need the water to penetrate the dirt and root system deep enough the sun won’t completely dry it out rather than more frequent surface watering which dries quickly.
Oh! okay I almost forgot this one. Okay so hoses, they get lava hot. But depending on your water system, it can affect your water everywhere. If you have access to your water heater and know how to do it (you tube can tell you if not) you’re probably going to need to turn it down. We have to turn it up in winter and down in summer. I’ve already turned it down twice this year.
Be careful with your windshield wipers, sun and heat can and will damage them and sun shields for your front window help the metal be less burny on your seatbelts.
Look out for people and kids who aren’t aware of how hot the car will get. Make sure seats aren’t too hot before putting your pets on them.
Hand sanitizer can and will explode if left in a hot car, other fluids especially cleaning and paint will too. Check to see if you have anything that needs to be inside in the garage or shed barn etc. DVDs and cds etc can get ruined along with more fragile electronics if you leave them in the heat. Candles will melt, groceries will go bad more quickly, phones overheat too and can die faster like in the cold.
Coolers are immensely helpful in not spoiling your food and if you can’t get a fancy cooler, a beer or fish cooler will also help. If you don’t have or can’t buy ice packs, freeze water in an empty carton of milk or juice (not all the way to the top) and use as ice packs. Or empty Gatorade/water bottles. (Rinse these out with soap and water before filling them with water and freezing).
Try and have a cooler in your car just for water even; it’s helpful even without ice, but your drinks will get ruined and hot and gross really quickly if you leave them in.
Uh fabulous people who wear makeup, keep a note in mind that you’ll sweat more and some makeups melt a little in the heat no matter what or how water and smear proof they are. Keep a few extra touch up tools or wipes on hand jic if you’d like
And please remember to bring water AND a bowl or some way for your pet to safely drink it and don’t leave them in the car unless it’s on and with supervision (don’t leave adults or children in off car either)
Pets might not understand their limits in the unexpected heat, set boundaries and time limits for walks and play times since they can’t.
I check in with my dog (Nightshade) because while he knows to stop playing when he gets too hot or thirsty, he won’t notice when on a walk and try to keep going. He’ll also try to get in a hot pool (because it will get hot) and sun bathe on bricks baking in a sun of 113F/45C if I don’t stop him.
You can get booties for your dogs but the stickers and socks with rubber tracks can melt. Mushers is expensive but helpful. Kinda messy.
it’s not a protectant but Burt’s bees has a paw cream. Rub olive or coconut oil on rough paw pads if you can’t get a cream. Wipe off excess and discourage licking. I’m half asleep at this point but I hope this helps or at least wasn’t boring
For all of the northerners that stood up for Texas during our freeze and said, "Don't make fun of them, they've never dealt with this before. Their infrastructure isn't made for snow and freezing."
This one is for you.
Where I live 108°F with 80% humidity with no wind is normal.
Pacific North West is dealing historic best waves 35-40°C or 95-105°F.
First of all. Don't make fun of them for bitching about the heat. Just like Texas isn't built for a freeze and our pipes burst, Pacific North West isn't built for heat and a lot of their homes don't have AC.
If you live somewhere with a high humidity like 80+ HUMIDITY IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. The "humidity makes it feel cooler" is a lie once it gets beyond a point.
If you live somewhere with a lower humidity, misters are nice to cool off outside.
Once you get over 90°F (32°C) a fan will not help you. It's just pushing around hot air. (I mean if you can't afford a small AC unit because they're expensive as hell, by all means a fan is better than nothing).
If you have pets, those portable AC units aren't safe. If your pets destroy the outtake thing, it'll leak CO2. Window units are safer.
Window AC units will let mosquitoes or other small bugs in. Sucks, but that's life.
Now is not the time to me modest. If you have to cover for religious reasons, by all means. If you don't, I've seen people wear short shorts and a swim top. It's not trashy if it keeps you from getting heat stroke.
If you do have to cover up for religious reasons, look for elephant pants or something similar. They're made with a breathable material.
Shade is better than no shade, but that shit it just diet sun after some point. Don't think shade will save you from heat stroke.
I know the "drink your water" is a fun meme now, but if you're sweating excessively you need electrolytes. Drink Gatorade, Powerade, or Pedialite PLEASE. I don't care if you're fucking sitting in one spot all day. That shit WILL save you from heat stroke.
Most importantly. RESEARCH THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEAT STROKE AND HEAT EXHAUSTION PLEASE!
If you're diabetic and can't drink Gatorade, mix water, fruit juice, and either lite salt or pink salt
If you can afford it, cover windows with thick curtains to insulate the house
If you have tile floors, lay on them with skin to tile contact. If you don't, laying your head on cool counters works too.
If the temperature where you're at is hotter than your body temperature, don't wear heat wicking clothing. Moisture wicking is safe though.
Check your medication labels. Many make you more susceptible to sun and heat
-Room temperature water will get into your body faster. This is something I learned doing marching band in high summer in Georgia, and it saved all of our asses. Sip it, don't gulp it, especially if you're getting into the red; same goes for whatever fluid you're drinking. And just in general drink during the day.
-If you are moving from an air conditioned space to an un-air conditioned space, if at all possible try to make the shift gradual. When my dad and I were working outside and in un-ac houses a few years ago, he'd turn the air down to low in the truck about ten-fifteen minutes before we got where we were going. This way your body doesn't go from low low temps to high temps. S'bad for you.
-If you can, keep your lights off during the day. Light bulbs may not generate a lot of heat, but the difference is noticeable when it gets hot enough. I literally only turn my bedroom light on in the evening when it gets too dark.
Don't be afraid to just like... pour water on yourself if you need to. The evaporation will cool you off.
Put your hand to the cement for 15 seconds. If you can't handle the heat, it'll burn your dog's paws. Don't let them walk on it.
Dogs with flat faces are more prone to heat stroke. Don't leave them out unsupervised.
Frozen fruit is delicious in water.
Wet/Cold hat/handkerchief on your head/neck will help you stay cool.
Pickle juice is great for electrolytes! You can even make pickle juice Popsicles!
Heat exhaustion is more, "drink water and get you cooled off." Heat stroke is more "Oh my god call 911."
Image Description provided by @loveize
[Image description: an infographic showing the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. The graphic is labeled "Heat Dangers: First Warning." Signs of heat exhaustion: faint or dizzy, excessive sweating, cool, pale, clammy skin, rapid, weak pulse, muscle cramps. If you think you or someone else may be experiencing heat exhaustion, get to a cool, air-conditioned place, drink water if conscious, and take a cool shower or use cold compress. Signs of heat stroke: throbbing headache, no sweating, red, hot, dry skin, rapid, strong pulse, may lose consciousness. If you think you or someone else may be experiencing heat stroke, call 911. Be safe.

DIY Auto Painting: What You Need to Know for Miami
If you're considering giving your car a fresh new look but want to avoid the expense of a professional auto painting service, a DIY paint job might be an appealing option. Painting your car yourself can save you money and give you a sense of accomplishment, but it also requires careful planning, the right tools, and a suitable environment. In Miami, where weather conditions can be challenging, there are specific considerations to keep in mind. Here's what you need to know to successfully tackle a DIY auto painting project in Miami.
1. Choose the Right Location
One of the most critical factors for a DIY Auto Painting Miami job is selecting the right location. In Miami, where the weather is hot, humid, and unpredictable, you'll need a place that's sheltered from the elements. Painting your car outdoors exposes it to dust, debris, and potential rain, which can ruin the paint finish.
Consider renting a well-ventilated garage or a designated paint booth for the job. A controlled indoor environment will help ensure that your paint job is smooth and free from contaminants. If painting outdoors, choose a day with mild weather, low humidity, and no wind.
2. Prepare the Surface Properly
Preparation is key to a successful DIY Auto Painting Miami job. Start by thoroughly washing your car to remove dirt, grease, and grime. Use a degreaser or automotive soap to clean the surface and dry it completely.
Next, sand the car’s surface to remove the old paint, scratches, and imperfections. Use a combination of 320- and 600-grit sandpaper to smooth the surface, ensuring that the new paint will adhere properly. Pay special attention to areas with rust, dents, or chips. Use a rust remover or rust converter to treat any rust spots, and fill in any dents or scratches with body filler. Sand these areas until they are smooth and even.
After sanding, wipe down the entire surface with a tack cloth or a lint-free cloth dampened with a paint prep solvent to remove dust and debris.
3. Gather the Right Tools and Materials
To achieve professional-looking results, you’ll need the right tools and materials for the Auto Painting Miami job. Here’s a basic list of what you’ll need:
Automotive Paint: Choose high-quality automotive paint that suits your car’s color and finish. In Miami's climate, consider using UV-resistant paint to protect against sun damage.
Primer: An automotive primer is essential for preparing the surface and ensuring the paint adheres properly.
Clear Coat: A clear coat provides a glossy finish and protects the paint from UV rays, moisture, and contaminants.
Sandpaper: Get a range of grits (320 to 600) for different stages of the sanding process.
Paint Sprayer or Spray Gun: A high-quality paint sprayer or spray gun with an air compressor will provide an even and consistent application. Avoid using regular spray cans for a full paint job, as they don’t provide the same level of control or coverage.
Masking Tape and Paper: Use these to cover areas you don’t want to paint, such as windows, trim, lights, and mirrors.
Respirator Mask and Safety Gear: Protect yourself from fumes and particles with a respirator mask, safety glasses, and gloves.
Drop Cloths and Plastic Sheeting: Cover the ground and surrounding areas to protect them from overspray.
4. Consider the Weather Conditions
Miami’s hot and humid weather can impact your DIY Auto Painting Miami job. High humidity can cause paint to take longer to dry, resulting in runs, drips, or an uneven finish. On the other hand, high temperatures can cause the paint to dry too quickly, leading to issues like orange peel or a rough texture.
Try to paint your car when temperatures are between 60°F and 75°F, and humidity levels are below 50%. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, consider using fans or dehumidifiers to control the environment. Early mornings or late afternoons are often the best times to paint, as temperatures are cooler and humidity is lower.
5. Apply the Primer Correctly
Applying primer is a crucial step in the painting process. It provides a base for the paint to adhere to and helps cover any imperfections on the car’s surface. Use an automotive primer and apply it in thin, even coats using your spray gun or paint sprayer.
Hold the spray gun about 6-8 inches away from the surface and move it in smooth, sweeping motions. Allow each coat to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions before applying the next coat. Typically, 2-3 coats of primer are sufficient. After the primer has dried, lightly sand it with fine-grit sandpaper (600 grit) to ensure a smooth surface for the paint.
6. Apply the Paint in Thin Layers
When applying the paint, work slowly and carefully to ensure an even coat. Hold the spray gun at a consistent distance (6-8 inches) from the car’s surface and use long, overlapping strokes to avoid uneven coverage or streaks. It’s better to apply several thin coats than one thick coat, as this reduces the risk of runs and drips.
Allow each coat to dry for the recommended time before applying the next. Depending on the paint, you may need 3-4 coats for adequate coverage. Be patient, and resist the urge to rush the process.
7. Apply a Clear Coat for Protection
After the color coats have dried, apply a clear coat to protect the paint and give it a glossy finish. The clear coat is especially important in Miami's climate, where UV rays and salty air can quickly degrade unprotected paint.
Use the same technique as you did for the paint: apply thin, even coats with overlapping strokes. Typically, 2-3 coats of clear coat are recommended. Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next. A high-quality clear coat will provide UV protection and help maintain your car’s finish in Miami's harsh environment.
8. Allow Proper Drying and Curing Time
Drying and curing time is critical for a successful DIY paint job. Even if the paint feels dry to the touch, it may not be fully cured. Curing can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the type of paint used and the weather conditions.
Avoid washing your car or exposing it to extreme conditions during this time. Try to keep the vehicle in a sheltered area or garage until the paint is fully cured to avoid any accidental damage.
9. Polish and Buff the Paint for a Professional Finish
Once the paint is fully cured, the final step is to polish and buff it to achieve a professional-looking shine. Use a high-quality automotive polish and a soft cloth or buffer to gently remove any imperfections, such as orange peel or slight roughness.
Buffing should be done carefully to avoid burning through the clear coat or paint. Take your time and use a light touch to create a smooth, glossy finish.
10. Practice Patience and Attention to Detail
DIY auto painting requires a significant amount of patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from mistakes. Don’t rush the process—take your time with each step to ensure the best results. Remember that even professional painters have years of experience to perfect their craft, so be prepared to invest time in learning the techniques and understanding the materials.
Conclusion
DIY auto painting can be a rewarding project that saves you money while giving your car a fresh new look. However, in Miami’s challenging climate, it requires careful preparation, the right tools, and an understanding of how local weather conditions can affect the outcome. By choosing the right location, properly preparing the surface, using quality materials, and following best practices, you can achieve a paint job that looks professional and lasts for years.
Feel free to adjust this guide to include any specific tips or recommendations that align with your expertise or services offered.

Mold Remediation: What it Consists of and How to Prepare
“What can I do before your mold remediation techs arrive? And just what are you going to do when you get here, anyway?” At Scope Environmental, we’ve heard some version of those questions many times. For years, we’ve provided professional mold remediation in Agoura Hills and the surrounding area for property owners just like you. Your property and situation are unique, yet there are steps you can take to prepare as well as ways we can help.
How You Can Prepare for Mold Remediation At Scope Environmental, we understand that having work done in your home can be a stressful and disruptive experience, to say the least. Only ever take any of the below steps to the extent that you can safely. If you are unable to do so, don’t worry about it. After all, mold remediation is our job, what you have hired us to do.
If you can do something about leaks or the like, do so. Whether it’s a leak in your roof, a burst pipe, or condensation buildup, the more you can do to stop moisture sources that could lead to mold, the better. This is true after we complete the mold remediation process as well.
You’ll want to make sure the mold remediation team has easy access to the affected area. This may involve removing cars from the driveway or garage and clearing any obstacles that might block the crew’s path from the outside of your home to the area where the mold is located.
Mold remediation can be loud and disruptive, and it’s not safe for pets to be wandering around the work zone. It’s best to keep pets in a separate room or outside (if the crew isn’t working in the yard). This ensures their safety and prevents them from getting in the way of the workers.
Doing this allows them to work more efficiently and minimizes any additional disruptions to your day.
How The Mold Remediation Process Could Go When we arrive, we’ll most likely park our truck as close to your home as possible. This allows them to easily transport equipment and supplies in and out. More often than not, our first task is to lay down some kind of sheeting to protect your floors and create a path from the entrance of your home to the mold-affected area.
Every mold situation is unique. Your property, your mold, your challenges, and your opportunities will differ from any other property. Below are some of the more common ways that we may remediate your mold.
One of the earlier tasks is to isolate the contaminated area from the rest of your property. This could be done by sealing windows, doors, and other openings. The seams of the sheeting are then secured to prevent mold spores from spreading to unaffected areas.
To further prevent the spread of mold, the crew will trap airborne spores, reducing the chances that they will travel to other parts of your home. Should there be affected surfaces, we may use a vacuum to remove mold from the affected surfaces.
Non-porous surfaces that can’t be removed could be scrubbed thoroughly with a damp cloth soaked in a detergent solution. This ensures that any remaining mold is eliminated from these surfaces.
After the mold has been removed from an area, we may disinfect it to kill any remaining spores. The remediation team may also apply an encapsulant, which is a special type of paint that seals any mold spores that may remain. This acts as an added layer of protection, preventing future mold growth. The encapsulant is often sprayed well beyond the immediate mold-affected area, especially in places like attics, to prevent recurrence.
Materials that have been contaminated by mold are removed and placed in sealed plastic bags for safe disposal. This reduces the risk of mold spores being released back into the air.
After the area has been cleaned and treated, all surfaces are allowed to dry completely. If necessary, dehumidifiers, fans, or heaters are used to speed up the drying process, ensuring that no moisture is left behind.
Once the mold removal process is complete, we clean the air inside your home. This way, we can filter the air, removing mold spores and other particles to ensure that the air you breathe is free of contaminants. The air is also refreshed with an air exchange system that replaces the old, moldy air with clean, fresh air from outside.
Mold Remediation in Agoura Hills and More At Scope Environmental, we are committed to making the mold remediation process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Your remediation may not be like what’s mentioned above, but, your remediation will be done in such a way as to best help you and your property. To see how we can help, reach out to us through our site or call.

*6. Asbestos
Sources:
Older Homes: Insulation, flooring, and roofing materials in homes built before the 1980s.
Renovation Projects: Disturbing asbestos-containing materials during renovation or demolition.
Effects:
Short-Term: Asbestos fibers do not cause immediate symptoms but can accumulate in the lungs over time.
Long-Term: Prolonged exposure can lead to lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis.
How to Remove Them:
Professional Removal: If you suspect asbestos in your home, hire a licensed professional to safely remove or encapsulate the material.
Avoid Disturbance: Do not disturb materials that may contain asbestos, such as old insulation or vinyl flooring.
*7. Pet Dander and Allergens
Sources:
Pets: Skin flakes, hair, and saliva from dogs, cats, and other pets.
Dust Mites: Found in bedding, upholstered furniture, and carpets.
Effects:
Short-Term: Allergic reactions, including sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.
Long-Term: Worsening of asthma symptoms and chronic respiratory issues.
How to Remove Them:
Groom Pets Regularly: Brush and bathe pets regularly to reduce shedding.
Clean Frequently: Vacuum carpets, furniture, and pet bedding regularly with a vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter.
Air Purifiers: Use air purifiers with HEPA filters to reduce airborne allergens.
Conclusion
Understanding the sources, effects, and methods of removing common indoor air pollutants is essential for maintaining a healthy home environment. By taking proactive steps such as improving ventilation, using air purifiers, and regularly cleaning your home, you can significantly reduce the presence of harmful pollutants and enjoy cleaner, healthier air indoors.

·Regular inspections: Schedule regular inspections with a professional garage door service Pepper Pike to identify and address any potential issues before they become more significant problems.

Taking Charge

So when I say infestation this is, in fact, what I mean. It doesn't sound like the person recording is wearing a respirator, they absolutely should be when it's this bad, because short exposure like this again won't kill you but it will cause respiratory distress. I can't positively id anything but I suspect the orange spots aren't fungi and are in fact the pink mold bacteria I talked about. She's got it right with the dehumidifiers and fungicide, what should be happening is dry air ventilation as well. So that car has to be in a dry space, like a garage, and have strong hot air flow going through.
Honestly at this point I'd personally strip the inside, treat the bare body for mold and reupholster, but it's probably not an option for this person because it will cost a bunch.
What does mold taste like?
only one way to find out

Let Me Be Your: 1965 Jaguar XK-E 4.2-Litre Series I Roadster
Flexible and quiet, comfortable and reliable, considered by many to be one of the sexiest cars ever made. Designed by Malcolm Sayer, an aerodynamicist known for his dedication to elegant shapes of motor cars.
This particular car was supplied in right-hand drive configuration, then finished in Carmen Red livery and black interior. Restored completely in 1979. Allen Hudson of Croydon, Surrey was this beauty’s first owner. Bought by Elton in 1987 and, surprisingly, rarely used. Elton himself often referred to this one as ‘OK Elton’ because of its registration (as seen in the pictures - ‘OKE 1’.) Sold by Elton in 2001 for £ 82, 140. Her current owner describes her condition as generally good and keeps her in a dehumidified garage (to prevent mold that could, otherwise, cause rusting and structural wood rot.)

Ah, but what about drawer slides with wheels and conveyor belts and trains? One ikea dresser accounts for an apartment worth of doors.
I think the rollers on my garage door account for every full size door in the house, and the wheels on the closet door tracks account for the cabinets. And then I've got another dozen besides between the rollers on the ac and the dehumidifier and the desk chairs and my longboard and bike and the toddler bike and her toy cars and
I think by the time you account for all the tiny wheels in any given building, you've usually sorted the doors.

The problem my house has is that it is a very old house and it’s brick so there’s no way for condensation to come out which mans my house has mild growing on the walls because my family breathes too much and we have to open windows in the winter or run the dehumidifier because if we don’t we get black mold growing on the wall and that’s dangerous. That, mixed with the asbestos garage and our incredibly annoying location on a main road, makes this house very undesirable. Did I mention that if you don’t squeegee the sides of the shower after your shower water leaks down into the kitchen which means more mold and the only way we’ve found that works long term to cover up damp spots has been chalkboard paint. The rooms are ridiculously tall too so it gets fucking cold and it’s impossible to change a lightbulb. I’m talking like 9-10 foot tall rooms guys. They’re twice the height of me ish. Mold smells really bad that’s why I keep most of my clothes in big plastic bins with car fresheners in them. The wallpaper in my room is ducking ugly too cos it’s painted magnolia but is the texture of acne

KEEP YOUR CAR RUNNING SMOOTHLY IN THE WINTER MONTHS
It is always recommended that before changing the season, you must take your car for a health check-up to the trusted service center. Following are the major key points you need to concern about.
Warming up your car You must warm up your vehicle during the winters before you start moving. In contrast, it is right that the mechanical elements inside have evolved greatly and is not at risk of facing any problems that older cars tend to have. However, most mechanics still recommend warming up the car before you start driving. Overall, warming up your car assures that the engine oil present inside covers every corner and nook of the engine. Hence once you start to move, the engine's insides are thoroughly lubricated. This reduces the levels of wear and tear in the engine. The best practice is to let your car warm up for around 2-4 minutes before moving. Battery health Summer heat is the biggest enemy of your car battery's, and it is a well-established fact. If the battery power is low or about to get exhausted, it means the battery has a chance of dying off during the winter. We already know distilled water is present inside the battery and plays a major role in the chemical reaction. But If this distilled water freezes during the reaction, it may cause permanent, irreplaceable damage to the cells. Tyre air pressure during winters One of the more important things to take care of your car on our cold weather is your tyre air pressure. Air works in a straightforward natural mechanism which applies universally. When a wheel becomes hotter, it expands, and when it cools down, it contracts. Inside your wheel, these effects are seen in terms of air pressure. During the summer, the tyre air pressure in your car increases and during the winters, the pressure decreases. Thus, it is recommended that you perform air pressure checks more frequently than you would normally. Windshield The windshield is also one of the most important components in your car. During winter, mist and fog can gather over your windshield, especially in the morning. This has a direct effect on your visibility, which can make your drive a lot riskier than usual. Fog is typically caused by a difference in temperature between the exterior and the interior of the car. This fog can be removed altering the same and minimizing the temperature difference, which causes its occurrence in the first place. You can also prevent the occurrence of this fogging on the whole by placing a dehumidifier pack inside the cabin. How does it works ? I dont know if this will help at all, but they sell like. Dehumidifier car bags that, when put inside a closed car, will draw a bunch of the water and germs from the air inside it. I can do a bit of research and send a few links if it helps? My dad's car was sitting for 10 years and he put like 3 in there and they worked literal magic on his, so it might be able to do something here!
Thank you lovely. I think we have a dehumidifier somewhere. Not a car one but one that will help at least. We also have a mould spray that my mother is killing the car with. I physically can't be near it until its clean. Some garage eh.

Top 3 Ways to Dry Your Wet Carpet to Prevent Damage
A wet carpet is a disaster waiting to happen. It can ruin your home, and if you have pets or kids, it can cause injuries that may not be covered by insurance. If you live in an area where there is lots of rain, it's likely that your carpets are going to get wet at some point during the year. But what do you do about them? This is where professional wet carpet drying Melbourne comes to play. In this article, we will discuss some ways you can save your carpet from getting ruined from moisture damage without damaging it more than what it already has:
Turn off the water
- Turn off the water supply: If you have a wet carpet, turn off the water supply to your home or office immediately. If this is not possible, call an HVAC technician to come out and shut down all drains in your building so that no more water can enter it from outside sources, such as rain or flooding from nearby streets during a storm event (this may also be necessary if there are any leaks). - Call a professional to help you dry out your wet carpet: If neither of these options works for you, consider hiring an HVAC technician to come over and remove all standing water from underneath your carport or garage flooring area before attempting any repairs yourself; otherwise, the damage could occur due to continuous exposure over time without proper attention being given by trained professionals who know how best handle these types of situations!
Suction it up
The most reliable way to dry your wet carpet is with a vacuum. A shop vac will work, but it's not as effective at sucking up water as a wet-dry vacuum. If you don't have a shop vac and want to save some money, consider using an inexpensive electric hand-held model instead of buying something more expensive—you'll get better results and won't have to worry about taking apart your car every time you use it!
Use fans
- Place the fan near the wet carpet and turn it on at low speed, directing the airflow away from your carpet. This will help to dry the water out of your carpet without causing any damage or discoloration. If you have a large area to dry, try using two or three fans in different locations around your vehicle (for example, one in front and one behind). Be sure not to place them too close together, as this can cause overheating issues if there is not enough airflow between them! - Turn off all lights within 10 feet of where you're drying—this will help reduce any dust particles created by lighting up that could land on top of your car interior after water damage restoration Melbourne has been completed!
Bonus tip: The longer the wet carpet sits, the more mold can grow.
While mold is an inevitable part of damp, wet conditions, it can be dangerous. Mold spores can cause respiratory ailments and other health problems in humans and animals. They also damage carpets by releasing toxic chemicals into the air. If you notice your carpet is wet or has begun to grow mold, take steps to dry it as soon as possible—and don't wait until it's too late! Conclusion These are the three best ways of wet carpet drying Melbourne. If you're in a situation where you need to avoid mold and mildew, then turn off the water and suction up as much of it as possible with duct tape or another adhesive. Covering your wet carpets with fans will help move air around them, so they don't stay damp for too long. These steps should be followed until you can get them cleaned professionally or use a dehumidifier indoors (more on those in our next blog). Read the full article
