Requested by @cyberwitchofuncertainty I figured out how to organize the quantization properly. Finally. This song is one of my favourites from Madou 2! Hope you enjoy.

A song I made in Deflemask based on a melody I came up with years ago but forgot to make until now. I'm considering using it for my post-apocalyptic cartoon idea, maybe as a title/credits theme. I'm also just a sucker for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive music.

Done!
Well, after a month of working on the track every now and then, the cover is finally complete.
I've begun premiering them on YouTube instead of just uploading them, so if you happen to be interested you can tune in on December 25 at 9PM UTC + 1 (that's 3PM EST).
youtube
I like having all channels visible via oscilloscopes, so that's the main form of visualization I use in these videos.
Typically I'd also fill the background using gameplay I recorded of the game in question, but I have none for Dominator. It'll be a black background this time.

Bolts4Brains update:
After listening to Paranormal Powerhouse over and over, I went back to Bolts4Brains and realized over overmixed it was.
So I'm redoing all of it lol.
Like the first pancake of the batch.
Dw, it's not gonna be drastically different, just better composed, because I'm not juggling WAV files from Deflemask with Midi files on my DAW, on top of my vocal recordings.
Speaking of vocals, here's a few I just redid.
You might notice I have a thing for singing in chunky chords like it's the 40s, and sometimes with a silly voice.
NO ONE SINGS LIKE THAT ANYMORE!! CHORDS ADD DEPTH, AND SILLY VOICE ADDS CHARACTER!!! ALL THEY DO NOW IS JUST AUTOTUNE EVERYTHING AND MAYHAPS ADD A HARMONY! AND BY 'THEY' I JUST MEAN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IN GENERAL LOL.
Tumblr media
Icr if I posted these here either, but these are the Funtime Victims for my canon. (It's not an AU if every Fnaf experience is personalized.)
I don't care how much evidence suggests Molten MCI, Funtime Victims is a narratively better move imo. I could MAYBE settle for Motlen DCI, but not MCI. It just takes away from the individuality from the characters. Both the robots and ghosts. There's a lot of room for psychological/emotional complexity with just the tronics, (not just the Glamrocks,) and the way I've seen it, Molten MCI portrays them more like caged animals. Like the fusion experiments from Steven Universe. (Shshsh about the Puppet line) But I'm also a fnaf veteran who grew up with "Springtrap and Mangle," Tony Crynights animations, Rebornica comic dubs, Bonnie got no iPhone, ect. We don't talk about Springtrap and Deliah.
Also check out this photo I found on Pinterest that my friend said looks like Dawko from the side.

I randomly found your YouTube channel and ended up on the playlists section, and noticed the music creation playlist and a couple videos on making chiptune
I'm curious, have you heard of a piece of software called Furnace? It's a tracker (the interface is like SunVox I'm pretty sure, I've never used SunVox) and it supports a ton of different sound chips, from the NES to the Atari 2600, and even a custom chip by the developer, called the Tildearrow Sound Unit
Tumblr media
It usually can play back on original hardware too, at least I know it's been used for Mega Drive game soundtracks, I think its files are too big for 8-bit systems
You can also combine chips, so if you really wanted to add the Pong chip to the Game Boy you can now
I'm not sure how experienced you would be with the interface, so it might take a while to learn
If you've ever used a similar program called Deflemask, it should be simple, and you can move elements around to your liking, plus it's fully compatible with Deflemask, some demo songs were made in Deflemask
I couldn't insert a link, but if you search "Furnace Tracker" it should come up, and it's the first result on Github when searching Furnace
Thank you so much for the advice and the recommendation for Furnace! To be perfectly honestly I had close to no music background and couldn't make heads or tails out of music theory for the longest time. I've recently starting learning piano but I'm still very much firmly in the learning process so it'll take my a while to make use of these, but thank you! ^^

Jewel Master: Dragonspawn [Recreation] (Furnace Test—YM2612+SN76489)
Taking a short break from LMMS stuff to add some music variety. I completed this recreation of the track Dragonspawn from Jewel Master in almost a day using DefleMask and then file-porting it over to Furnace as DefleMask's popularity and usage have been waned/abandoned. It's good to be back in chiptune action!

Cover update
Given that I wanted to document this one, I think I can give a small update. Things slowed down, but I'm still working on it.
Length-wise, the track's around half done*. In terms of patterns, that's the majority of the work already. Even up to now things have mostly been the same two or three patterns per channel repeated in sequence.
youtube
*I'm never really done with any pattern. I still try some things out and see if it sounds better to me than before.
