My uber retro gamer knowledge got persnickety about the accuracy of Circus Baby's Minigame for the time frame CBPW takes place.
Re did the OST and everything.
More details about my thought process are in the description of that video. However, here's a clip of the game I based most of this on.
(This is how new arcades looked and sounded around the 1986-88 time frame.)

I still think about them. :]
There are a few old drawings and clips I made years ago that elude to a Coconuts-centric "episode." When the trio work together in Aosth, they put all their braincel halves together to make a whopping 1.5. Since they're a bit smarter in this AU, their traps would be somewhat challenging.
Here, in the context of the environmentalist Sonic show, the theme the kiddies are supposed to get is recycling and making fun with what you have.
Since his robotization, Coconuts has been on scrap cleanup. If you know anything about Robotropolis, you'd know how littered it is with junk metal. His tasks are very mundane, so that gives him a lot of time to think about how he'd capture Priority One.
Bonus content: More of that one concept I had.

Re-analysis on what comes from who.
I know about the whole thing about Scott modeling on a whim, but some things are easy to trace back to, so that means there was some intention.
My current consensus is that the body is the amalgam, but the head is unique. The mask fits it perfectly, so who is it? I'm sticking with Coils for now.
In order for this to be concrete, I'd need to know what time they formed Ennard and how long it took. I'm assuming they had to hastily be put together, and the reason the have a different head is because none of theirs were making the cut.
I've thought about the two extra blue eyes being Baby's old ones, but we don't know exactly how the color change happened. Was it paranormal or physical? Paranormal could be a cool way for William to figure out Liz is in there, but physical would be an interesting way he addresses it. Either way, the head is completely different than Baby's, and wouldn't you think the other Funtimes would've had this happen too? If it did, Ennard would have a lot more eyes. And if Funtime Freddy and Baby can have blue eyes at the same time, why not another animatronic?

It's weird being the decider of tricks and treats.
I'd normally prefer going by house, but my area is very stagnant for trick or treating. So trunk or treat it was.
2 kids thought I was a dinosaur, a number of them wanted hugs, another number of the same age group did not want near me, I scared a dog on accident, a few adults thought I was an actual animatronic until I had to adjust something. (The payoff of marching band.) Some kids offered high fives, which I thought was funny, considering, yknow.
The Cupcake is a bucket, and I put candy in there. So when someone came over, I'd open it up for them to take. However, I knew there'd be other chickens afoot, so I had an exotic butters basket alternative. The handle to the Cupcake eventually broke off, because I wasn't intending it to carry such weight originally.
This was like a test wear for later use at cons.

Fair, and you're completely right about prejudice. It's been a while since I read the Reddit follow up post. I don't agree with everything he says there either, but if I'm openly criticizing him, it's his stories. Or the doggone right eyebrow that keeps dissappearing on Ennard's mask lmao.
I did make my own theory one time that would kinda go along the lines of Ennard not being the Funtimes. I made a post about it here, and I did a video on it that is...it's my first rodeo. I noticed that while other parts are easier to trace back to, the endo head didn't match up with anyone, (especially the teefs,) the mask fits perfectly, and there are 2 extra blue eyes. (I need more evidence as to how the eye color change on Baby happened, whether it be physical or paranormal.) So with that I came up with the idea of just the head being of a separate unfinished animatronic. Like it was a test Will did just to see if he could even build a whole endo in that style and manufacture a plated suit, and then when CBPW shuts down, he cans it and tucks it away. So the rest of the body is the Funtimes, but the head is someone else's. Coils is my placeholder for now. It's level of conscious can be played with. It can even make the "secret puppet master character" thing still work in a different form.
And then I remembered Scott's designing method.
I was not a very critical child lol. I was even hyped for Fnaf world. I knew people were complaining about the not scary thing, but I knew it was a spin-off, and I knew there would be secrets. I remember being a little skeptical about the direction by the trailer, but it quickly grew on me. 2014-15 fnaf has a very specific feel (I dont wanna use aesthetic) that would've gotten redundant if SL didn't shake things up.
Day 73
Ennard from Fnaf: Sister Location
Y'know, it's a good thing the animatronics are robots. Because if this guy(s) was human they'd be horrifying. Whether it'd be easier or harder to assume they're their own person is up for debate though. It's almost impressive how a lot of people misunderstood what Ennard is(a messed up fusion of the SL animatronics in order to fit them all into one body), though I assume Pizza Simulator's teasers made it a bit clearer. Really, the only unclear thing is how big they are. I assume they're around human-sized, but trying to apply logic to this series is a good way to get a headache, so it's 50/50
As for who they're a variation of: they're a direct variation of Baby, Funtime Freddy, presumably BonBon, Ballora, and Funtime Foxy, while also being an indirect variation of Freddy, Foxy, Mangle, and maybe Bonnie
Also why did(does?) everyone portray this skin stealer as a dude? They're multiple robots together, a mostly even split of genders, and led by Baby, who's a girl. Even UCN is guilty of this

Gdhdhe I've been in the fandom since like April 2015. I did not have a favorite until SL, and it has not changed lol. I am loyal. To that clown bot.
My interpretation of him is like a mirror maze at this point. I can see them multiple ways, but my favorites are ones that realize them as an individual. (It's def the SU thing, because seasons 2/3 were airing around the same time as SL/6 lmao) He has a very unique design and motive that deserve it's own character.(and voice)
We could've really used a game that exlpores them more, but Angst Phase Baby and Funtime Freddy 2.0 fumbled the chance of that happening. :[
My memory is spotty on some specifics of the fandom at that point, but the confusion in recent times I can attribute to too much differing information from too many people about a character with sparse details. I'll have to read what these comments are about but oh man the concept of remnant and Molten MCI made it way more complicated than it needed to be. That and Shatter Victim, for example. There was no chance we would've pulled that in 2016, so it probably ain't it. Do I like the concept outside of a fnaf context? Yes. Any theory I personally disagree with, I see merit in another story.
I wouldn't use Scott's beliefs that weren't meant to reach public view as 100% reliable, regarding the characters. Bonnie is a boy and uses a girl's name, Toy Freddy and Toy Bonnie wear makeup and have lashes, which sparked a tiny gender debate for Bonnie specifically, but Mangle's gender was a much hotter topic. We got an answer of "yes" sometime in 2015, because trolling, but her pronouns have always flip flopped between "he" and "she" (FunFoxy as well.) Best case scenario, he's just not very well knowledged about the things he donates to, rather than it coming from a place of malice. In the Flesh exists, and he states his regret by the new interview. (Clearly because of the contents, and not the main message of "don't be mad that chicks don't want you if you're disrespectful" that went over many heads.) He may be a Texan Rep middle aged man, but he ain't the spitting image of one. Though I understand the concern.
He also said the designs for his creatures just sorta come to him. I wouldn't be surprised if "he" was just the first thing that came to mind either. (It also doesn't help that in none of the interviews, scott or steel wool, do they ever talk about Ennard and throw in a pronoun.)

I can clear up a few things! :D
When we only had the teaser, we went with the narrative that Ennard was this sort of secret puppet master character using the Funtimes as pawns. I wanna say we stuck to that narrative maybe about a month after release, and then we got it. Even 8bit Ryan thought it was just Ballora at the mirror scene, because of how frequently Baby trashes her. Matpat thought "purple eyes=purple guy." Lol it required a little more brain power for these narratives, since the biggest debate at the time was 83 vs 87.
Ennard is between 6"5'-6"7'. I eyeballed a couple renders where they're standing next to a doorway in the Private Room, assumed it was the same height as mine, and accounted for the fact he's hunched over. I even drew a life-size replica of his head, because I'm so normal about this robot, and once I got a chance to play VR1 and he did the lil spook thing with the door, I compared the two. It was pretty spot on. Their head is 1ft without the mask.
If UCN says it, Scott wrote it. I'd be more willing to believe what a direct source says, more than a book or other media that goes through a whole process, but that's just me. Personally, I'm looking at it as evidence that he's more like a Steven Universe fusion, where the components form one whole new person. And once something happens to break the harmony, they come undone. (See the episodes, "Keeping it Together," "Keystone Motel," "Chille Tid," and "Know your Fusion." If Ennard never split, they'd be a lot like Malachite.)
Ennard has not officially been referred to as "they," but it is an entirely plausible option. The character encyclopedia calls him an "it," but I'm more willing to bet that's because this is an outsider talking about a robot anomaly, and not the robot anomaly writing about himself. His name is also a boy's name. (People say it's a play on "innard," and "endoskeleton," but I swear I've heard that name being used before SL.)
If it weren't for grammatical references, Ennard's stature leans a little masculine. Still very ambiguous, but they are trying to fit into a guy. Though I wouldn't doubt they can change their looks at will. The mask they wear, that is a key part of their design, does not include any gender-oriented features. Unless you think bald and/or minimal makeup=male. (If so, may I present: the Toys.)
He's never had any "she/her" happen either, which like you said, Baby is, and she hogs the body from the others. It makes me wonder if these tronics, or any of them, even see themselves aligning with gender at all? Like if you ask Baby what her gender is, would she say "girl," or "I'm an animatronic?" Do they perceive their identities as people, or as machines? It's like the WallE paradox. What makes WallE and EVE a boy and a girl if they are? If not, then would they both be Nonbinary because they're robots? (Well, that would make them completely binary. 🥁)
Best of both worlds, Ennard's a "He/They,"

Oh no. Not again.
Bolts4Brains update 10/8/24:
(I'm logging these by date instead of number so I don't lose count like last time.)
I don't have anything major for SL's anniversary this year, other than I finished the instrumental rework of Bolts4Brains, (the vocals still need work,) and the first clip has been animated.
I had like a little of it done before I was like hey wait a minute, Fnaf's 10 year anniversary only happens once. And then shifted my focus to Paranormal Powerhouse.
Visually, the goal is to make this as 2016-early 2017 SL as possible. I don't know how else to describe the type of synesthesia I get for this game, other than it's like when you watch the Brave Toaster movie as a kid because it's a cartoon, get traumatized, and then years later find out that movie was actually intended for like college students in animation. That, combined with classic 2014/15 fnaf, and futuristic wacky-pomo.
So like a spectrum of this:
The magenta-deep blue color scheme is also significant. Any time the Funtimes are preforming, they're in a pink spotlight. Otherwise, it's very cold and blue.
(I have no clue where the last image comes from, but it's suspiciously SL elevator shaped.)

Refined the human Ennard design
(He'd be hideous because he still needs a character motive.)
Bonus! Kosperry Ennard, my beloved.
Kinda gore tw. It's Ennard.
I've never seen Kos draw anything on the gruesome side, and Idk if that's a them thing or just a stylistic choice.
I always found darker subject media in 2d animated ""kid's"" movies fascinating. Though I made it a bit more believable by making the blood brighter and act more like syrup.
You'd be surprised how long it took me to nail this version of him.

Things I noticed about the music-realm of the fnaf fandom as of recently.
[From the person who did Paranormal Powerhouse]
My brain just fired an interesting set of neurons. I was thinking about how JT Music "remastered" some of his older fnaf songs, like Join us for a Bite, and Five Long Nights. Usually, JT Music never misses with his songs. Except for when he redoes them. Normally, I would describe the remakes of feeling too processed and the OGs more organic, but that's too vague for my point to get across.
I got a Reel on my feed the other day about the new Beetlejuice movie that showed images of behind the scenes pictures from the original movie, and the new one. One of the comments said that although the new movie was good, Beetlejuice's outfit from the original felt more authentic, and the new one felt too much like it was a costume. (I can see it in the hair most, imo.)
That's how I would describe this situation with JT Music. Heck, even just current Fnaf Fan songs in general.
I haven't heard any new fnaf songs that stuck out to me in a while. To me, the new ones just sound like someone just picked a cool synth and played 4 chords and went "OOG THE BEAR IS APPROACHING~" lmao.
Idk they just sound less...from the heart. Compare the "You might look at me-" "-you're not alone, Baby" part of the original Join us For a Bite, and the remake. They got rid of the huge chords the vocals did on "crazy," and the delivery doesn't sound like she's about to lose it. She just sings it and the autotune does the rest.
A number of other songwriters that made pretty good songs back then have fallen off too, I noticed.
Idk if it's because this is how these artists are making a living, so they gotta pump out content all the time. Tryhardninja has been uploading multiple music videos for songs from like, 2016. (They're good animations though.) It's all in the matter of taste though, I guess.
But it's a shame, because all the older songs that were fire, the writers ended being creeps, or have just been absent from the internet or the fandom for a while. Mandopony's songs felt like they came straight out of a musical. They made great use of harmonization, and painting a scene in your head. [I've never come across a song made by a brony that was mid.] That kind of style has yet to be replicated, because I don't want him returning anytime soon.
Idk what happened to Groundbreaking, other than he stopped making fnaf music specifically, but he was really good at writing character, and catchy instrumental breaks. The sounds he chose for each character song fit them very well. His style was very electronic and industrial.
Similar notes for Griffinilla, with the added bonus of the scenes in Stay Calm. Then he turned into Fandroid. His Freddy song is pretty good too. The lyrics are pretty generic, but I like the wacky instruments used. Not a fan of the Ballora song. I did recently hear about him being a groomer though. Can't have nothin in Hurricane.
Shameless plugin, that's why when I wrote Paranormal Powerhouse, (and Bolts4Brains) I was taking those aspects into account. I never hear vocals harmonize anymore, or singing in character, or silly voices in general. Those add texture, imo. The instruments I chose were very specific. I wanted it to sound mechanical and haunting, while keeping the overall lighthearted campy nature these games have, thus, the title of the song. (Totally has nothing to do with the level "Lava Powerhouse" from Sonic Spinball.) Even the drums are meant sound like clunky robotic movement.
The Genesis is capable of very harsh and edgy sounds, which would be perfect for the industrial side. It's capable of atmospheric sounds as well, ex. Ecco the Dolphin. It also shares a soundchip with arcade cabinets from at least mid 80s, so I tried to replicate instruments from certain arcade games, because FFP has an arcade. The Snes plugin was used for softer sounds the Genesis couldn't achieve the way I wanted, like the wonky piano.
I did add a sort of autotune to my vocals, but a real quality autotune plugin costs money, so I used Reaper's built in manual pitch correction. On top of that, I added a light chorus effect for the main melody, and a bit crush at that part where Phone Guy starts to break it down, and the animatronics provide a counter melody, leading up to Chica's solo.
Idk maybe I'm just not in the loop with the current music scape, and when I am, I just get really unlucky. It's hard to tell, because I hardly ever come across a fnaf fan that's also a music nerd. Like I'm just finding videos talking about the Watch Your 6 motif. Did we all like subconsciously know this and just decide to talk about it, or did the right people just start noticing it at the right time?

Grand Fest fancams and thoughts. (Why is nobody calling this "Conch-Shella?")
Congrats team Past! I was on team Present.
I had to wait before I said anything about the Grand Fest so my opinions are fully processed.
I was actually pretty torn between the two (future was out of the question, sorry.)
I'm a Splatoon 1 vet, and I know a lot of people were on Past because they are too, but I was being conscious as to not let nostalgia influence my decision. (I should probably also do that when purple is an option lol)
My take was that if present won, the setting would be in the present, and the campaigns would be time traveling stories. That, and a reoccurring message in this game is the whole "don't get caught up in the past, keep moving forward" thing.
Even if I think OTH has a better dynamic, the Squid Sisters are also important characters to me. Marie was my first ever cosplay outside of a Halloween costume. I have a "Stay Fresh" poster that has been on my wall for like 7 years. I was on team Callie for 1s final fest, so this was justice for her too. I also really like the sentiment that they're the ones who started and ended these events.
Of course, all Splatfests have their flaws. It's the match making. We all gripe about the same thing every splatfest for every game, and the one constant throughout all of them that hasn't been addressed or patched is the prioritization on fast matching instead of coordinated matching. Even if it took longer, it might've knocked out mirror matches on the way. But oh well, it's done and over with.
The toxicity I've seen from others was a whole thing too. I thought the "waifu wars" from 1 was bad. Sheesh. I mean I'm a fnaf fan, so I'm used to this flavor of discourse, but some of yalls were being full on bullies for a game intended for kids.
Now when I open Splatoon 4 in the coming years, I better be in the trenches of the Great Turf War./j
(We all saw the proposal, right?)

General Masq Posting 9/1/24
EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING, EVERY FANDOM CODED NEURON HAS BEEN ACTIVATED. HELP. 😃
I really hope we see some sliver of Ennard’s mask origin in SOTM. Even if it's just seeing it as a decoration again. Jackie kinda reminds me of Coils, with her funny tube limbs. Makes me wonder if they could've been a duo? People keep accusing it of riffing Poppy Playtime, but the way everything else was described reminded me of Case Animatronics, if anyone remembers that fangame.
I picked team lesbia- I mean team present btw. It was a tough decision because my whole style is based on the past, and the Squid Sisters mean a ton. But OTH's characterization is better, and GYEAHILOVE BEIN PURPLE. Future was out of the question lol. The announcement surprised me for sure. I thought about the other groups tuning in for this, but I didn't think they actually would! The lil musical motifs too!! This feels like Chaos vs Order all over again GAH I'm so excited!

Decendants of an evil lunatic robot genius. [Bri ish points and living critter->robot slave points for SatAM, theme park obsession points for Modern]
This especially works if you believe the "Mike helped Will at one point" theory.
They both have a younger blonde step/sister that's also involved with robots.
Subversion of expectations: Mike would wear a Foxy mask, instead of the mostly agreed upon fanon of "Fnaf6 player stand-in bear" mask. Totally did not take inspiration from the Snerd for Mike's post scoop hair.

I always thought Snively looked off in this scene. He's so weirdly shaped. It's probably because this scene wasn't story boarded at all, but it's strange that he's animated pretty fluidly, just for this bit.
Original:
Redraw:
I'm using season 1 for reference.
How I personally would've colored him:
You wouldn't know he curled his hair strands unless you found his model sheet.
I can only add one video, so this is how I would've posed him for the 7 seconds of him awkwardly static, with the camera zooming in. (I would've added me noting things from the original.)
