Some Ideas for this!
1. Danny’s ecto-radiation is able to cancel out the effects of the radiation from Kryptonite. Clark finds out when after being affected by Kryptonite, he notices that he feels better when he’s near this random guy. Two further ideas from this:
- Clark starts following Danny around as Clark Kent, which Danny obviously catches, and Clark has to explain why no, he’s not a stalker, and no he’s not a ghost? why would that be a question? and how danny’s presence just makes him feel physically well again. and it eventually leads to danny selling clark some of his radioactive blood (though he doesn’t tell clark that’s what it is) to carry around to make himself feel better, and also to stop following him. Cue Danny being Clark Kent’s sort-of dealer?
- Clark follows Danny around as Superman, and upon explaining to and asking the guy, starts paying him as if it’s a job, to be Superman’s bodyguard, of sorts. Superman pays him extremely well, and Danny just has to always be nearby when Superman is out protecting Metropolis, and take care of any Kryptonite during attacks.
2. Clark is at a scientific symposium for new inventions in Metropolis, reporting on it. He’s interviewing one group and getting statements from each of the people running the booths when he walks up to the Fenton’s booth. The two brightly-dressed scientists (for that’s what they must be, wearing hazmat suits like that) are excitedly talking about intangibility and its properties to some others in front of the booth. Clark also notes a boy in the back, notably not wearing a hazmat suit, moving things around and tinkering with something. Clark leaves one ear open, listening to their chatter, as he eyes their setup. They have a lot of cases lying around, both open and not, full of strange-looking weapons and things that Clark can only identify vaguely as “sci-fi”, along with various signs pasted on them that say WARNING, RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL. Clark, mildly alarmed, does a quick X-ray scan of the booth. Noting several cases that seem to be lead-lined, as he can’t see through them, he is about to turn to the Fentons to ask some questions when he doubles back. Did… did that kid have a THERMOS inside of him????? What-How—
3. The Kents are neighbors to Aunt Alicia. When the Fentons would visit Alicia, Clark and Danny would hang out, and were good friends growing up. At some point, Clark noticed that when he accidentally would slip up with his powers, it seems like Danny would in-fact, use just as much strength as him, or perform impossible feats without batting an eye. Clark thinks Danny is also an alien in hiding. Danny just never noticed Clark’s inhuman tendencies, even the floating, because he kinda forgets human limits and normal standards as he gets older. Their friendship grows stronger to adulthood as Clark feels very comfortable and natural without holding himself back around Danny. Danny enjoys hanging out with Clark, as it’s nice to have such a strong, lifelong friend that can keep up with him.
The turnout for the Batfamily post was incredible so here we go for a Superman Edition!
Write below a Superman meets Danny Fenton story but choose the wildest relationship that you can think of that isn’t adoption, romantic relationship, or clone hate
For instance:
- Clark casually using X-Ray vision while searching for a bomb a villain planted and noticing that one of the random civilians he scanned has absolutely zero organs. While x-rayed he just looks like green goo. Supes goes out of his way to chat with the new meta.
- Wonder Woman introduces a new hero to the Justice League: Superman startles because the new member is his Clark Kent’s noisy as hell upstairs neighbor.
- Danny is a Janitor at the Justice League Museum. Superman accidentally dropped his key to the Fortress of Solitude that is made from a dwarf star and weighs half a million pounds. Superman gets a tap on his shoulder,
“Hi! Sorry I think you dropped this.”
Kal-El turns to see a civilian holding the key he made specifically so no one could lift and break into the fortress.
- Danny works at the corner store next to the Daily Planet and Clark is one of his favorite customers. Clark managed to walk in mid robbery; Danny in the process of crumpling the robbers gun into a ball as the would be theif is crying lying against a wall with zip ties holding his hands behind his back.
