Vulkan's incandescent rage at eldars translates to how in some fantasies dragons fight elves and whatnot trying to steal their hoard. Humans are the Salamander's precious hoard and this tickles my puny self worth (oh, I'm worth keeping/kidnapping ectect heeheeheheegeheheehhdhdhdhd) so thank you Salamanders.

Warhammer is about raging against the dying of the light. Hope is one of if not THE most important elements of the setting.

When it comes to Warhammer 40K, I’m constantly torn between understanding that the setting is intentionally dark and terrible because it’s intended as a satire of authoritarianism and totalitarianism yet at the same time wanting things to get better for humanity.
