I went to court but the entire jury, defense, judge and my lawyer were all fish. The sentence? I had told someone that fish fingers weren’t actually fishes’ fingers. I was found guilty and sentenced to death by lawn mower. I still don’t know what that means.

"We are calling for court support on September 19 at 8:30am, in Fort Worth, Texas, in order to support drag defenders fighting a civil suit from fascist group New Columbia Movement. The courthouse is located at 100 N. Calhoun Street, Fort Worth, TX, and the hearing will be in the 4th floor courtroom for the 48th District Court
Once the courtroom fills up, we are also inviting people to stand outside the courthouse with signs and banners showing their support.
More details to come soon, but the tl;dr is that everyone should cover identifying markings as a standard anti-doxxing precaution, and should remember that the goal of this particular action is not disruption, we are here to stand in solidarity with drag defenders facing legal persecution and show them they're not alone"

Apparently, Steven Universe has been getting traction again, and unfortunately I've found this out through social media memes saying how bad of a mother Rose Quartz was.
People say she's a horrible mother because the burdens of her past were handed down to Steven. Now, while it's true that he had to deal with her past problems, Rose had NO WAY of knowing that would happen! Let me put things in perspective.
Rose never intended for Steven to bear the fallout of the war. When Rose was still alive, she and the Crystal Gems truly believed the war was over for more than 5000 YEARS.
The only aftermath of it was the corrupted gems that they were capturing, and for a long time, the Crystal Gems shielded Steven from them and didn't let him go on missions.
For 5000+ years since the war, there was peace, and that's when Rose had Steven.
NOBODY on Earth knew about Homeworld's fusion experiments and the Cluster. There was no contact from Homeworld until roughly 12 years after she had Steven, when they sent the Red Eye in episode 2.
I'm so sick of Rose being a scapegoat for all of the show's conflicts that happened AFTER SHE DIED.

Lu Guang is a hypocrite and that’s okay (great even)
Tumblr media
I must stand ten toes for this man because I’m noticing the slander that went on in September and I cannot allow it. I know I’m six months late but just bear with me. We are introduced to Lu Guang as a rational, stoic, sort of wise protagonist. The brains of the operation if you will (although Cheng is clever in his own right but that’s a whole other discussion). Qiao Ling and Captain Xiao describe him as more mature. Shiguang’s relationship is strong but it’s structured, especially for their work, to where Cheng has to depend on Lu Guang. Should only do as he says and not do anything impulsive.
And it gets to a point where Cheng doesn’t know what to do without him and when LG isn’t there he relies on his past words to guide him. The thing is, we’ve seen that CXS can come up with great plans and make good decisions without Lu Guang’s voice in his head. Like how he caught Min Liu or planning how save Lu Guang from Li Tianchen. But the story has built LG up so much to be a reliable character so it can’t be untrue. But then the s2 finale happens, Cheng gets shot and Lu Guang loses his mind.
Tumblr media
And then the ending basically tells you that he’s been winging it and gambling this whole time. Experimenting with god knows how many timelines, simply using his knowledge from the previous one to see if he’ll get lucky this time. Lu Guang has been playing a crane game. So in a story that is all about mistakes, guilt and regrets. Of showing the imperfections of people. Of showing the struggles of moving forward, of being satisfied with the present. Of sacrificing your sanity, your voice, your desires, and happiness for the people you love. How is this bad writing?
Link click has been tricking the audience to believe Lu Guang is an infallible character.
But Link Click was never about perfect people.
What he’s trying to do is no different from Li Tianchen, one of our antagonists. And I love CXS to fucking pieces but this show raises the question of a life’s value. LG is trying to save Cheng and so refuses to change the past for anyone else. Bc it may alter things and doom CXS in the process and ruin all he’s worked towards. But then you ask yourself, is CXS’s life worth more than the twins' mother? Is it worth more than Chen’s mother? Is it worth more than Emma?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It doesn’t matter because it is to Lu Guang. It’s like the question if your sibling and a mailman are trapped in a burning building but you can only try to save one. Unless they’re the absolute scum of the earth, chances are and possibly even despite that, you’re going to pick your sibling. That don’t mean it’s objectively more valuable than the mailman or you didn’t have sympathy for that person, they have loved ones, hopes and joys too. “Lu Guang is a hypocrite, selfish, unreliable, and a liar” yes he is. Because there is something called ‘flawed characters’. It’s okay for your protagonist to not be the best person. It’s okay to write a protagonist whose trauma has defined some of their actions.
If you’ve been forced to have someone you love die in your arms over and over, why is it surprising that you would lie to them? How is it surprising that you’d try to keep secrets? That you’d set things up to be in a position to control the situation? That’ll force you to plan better so maybe, just maybe things will be different? You think Lu Guang lacks self awareness and doesn’t know what this makes him? Of all things you can call LG, he’s not delusional. He knows the weight of his actions.
Link Click has and always will be a story about people. Where our emotions and choices take us. Lu Guang isn’t a robot so why would he be an exception?
Plus everyone should’ve been knew Lu Guang was sus anyway. Idk how that’s mischaracterization, there’s proof of him lying and keeping secrets from CXS in s1. It doesn’t ruin anything it recontextualizes what we were shown back then.

Do you have any more references similar to the "in my defense" set you posted?
Your references are single handedly driving my art improvement I love them sm <3
Not a ton but here's some I could find. I do have some other angles though, if these help. I'm not sure which aspect appeals most (high perspective? scared?) but if you need something custom my commissions are open on ko-fi and my patrons get requests. ♥ So glad the poses are helpful!

Thought Yanqing needed his defense TBH.
Tumblr media
Because let's be fair, he also gets a lot of unfair and undeserved hate.
He's so annoying!
That's your problem TBH. I don't even find him annoying. He actually can be mature for his age.
I lost my 50/50 to him!
And yet I don't see people hating Welt, Himeko, or Bronya after losing their 50/50 to them. IDK why he gets hated instead.
He's a trash DPS!
It's because you didn't build him right. At least try building him right and probably pairing him with Ruan Mei if you have her. This means leveling him and unlocking his traces.
He's not even strong lore wise!
If he's not strong lore wise, then he wouldn't have been able to withstand Jingliu's attacks. Oh, and he's also training March 7th in this event, which means he can be more mature than certain adults can.
As for the Blade + Dan Heng incident, you do realize they only defeated him because they were stronger than him. And Jing Yuan most likely had to reprimand him after the incident because those are his old friends.
His HI3 counterpart is so evil and unlikable, so he must also be evil and unlikable in HSR!
Bronya, Seele, Himeko, and Sushang are all different from their HI3 counterparts. And so is Yanqing especially. The only characters who are the same as their HI3 counterparts are Welt and (technically) Acheron.
Anyway, Yanqing is a good boy and you guys are just mean!

I joined a group that would cover themselves in acrylic paint and then do colorful interpretive dances. They would show up to courtrooms as the legal defense team, then do their messy dance which they earnestly believed provided legal help to the defendant.

Defensive/Protective Magick
You can't be too careful, especially working with the darker areas of witchcraft. So here are some basic defensive magick techniques to help keep you safe.
Deviation: The ability to use one's own magickal power to deflect the energies (usually attacks) of other individuals. Deviation isn't so much an active power, it's more of a skill one procures through exploring their own energies and power. Deviation is a defensive technique that can be used to impede, perry, and redirect attacks, negative attachments, and baneful magick.
Banishing: As a witch, you havr the ability to banish an energy/entity that is making you miserable or causing you harm out of your life. There are many different methods and rituals for banishment, its best to find one that works for you and stay faithful to it.
Wards: A form of protection against malice, mishaps, and ill-will. They can be placed upon structures, land, objects (like crystals, statues, talismans, etc.), or on an individual. Personal wards are often referred to as shields/shielding.
