I also have a brewing idea for a Dracula AU, where Lena is targeted by our titular figure because her blood has traces of magic in it, which makes her extra tasty.

Except it presents as night terrors/sleep paralysis at first. Lena is terrified and tries to avoid falling asleep, and nothing they do seems to fix the problem-- the moment Lena falls asleep without company/observation, the dark figure is at the end of her bed, leering at her, all while Lena is paralyzed to do anything.

(In this au, the shadows that coalesce around Drac works to paralyze his victims, then put them back to sleep after. His saliva heals the wounds after feeding, so there's never any trace that something happened.)

Then, one night, when Lena awakens to find her visitor has returned, Kara pops in to check on her, based on nothing but a gut feeling. She steps into the bedroom to find Lena pinned to her bed, Lena's eyes glassy but conscious and terrified, as a dark figure crouches over her, drinking.

Kara tackles the figure off of Lena, but before she can beat him to a pulp he disappears in a puff of smoke. Her attention immediately shoots back to Lena, still paralyzed and now bleeding profusely from the interrupted feeding.

She flies Lena to the tower, shouting for help as she tries to apply pressure, a stream of apologies streaming from her lips. Because they hadn't listened when Lena had told them it felt real, that it was more than sleep terrors born of stress and overwork.

They had tried to help, but didn't quite believe her.

It was honestly one of the saddest fic I ever read. The entire beheading part was so uncomfortably well-written!

And the sewing part, absolutely was so dark yet sad. Y/n's backstory was so sad. Wanting to travel planets only to be give some-ass background story by some foxian god, who just ruined other lives because he was alone. Only to try to protect the village she really grew to care about to be turned into fucking statues because of a insecure god.

Overall, I honestly don't like female reader, especially the tragic ones. But, This one felt so real with the breakdowns. Really wanted to give a hug for her!

Also, Y/n's character was so beautifully scary. The recipe for Borisin chapter? and then when Jiaoqiu cooked her that. Her reactions were so yandere-scary. It was so thrilling tho! Chapter 1 spooked the hell out of me. I mean those statues descriptions! It was a dream. I was so glad...

Honestly, this y/n was so similar yet a new turn for me Honestly each description felt so real to read.... I def love how your Jiaoqiu version. It showed his serious side more than his playful one. The way you wrote for the few chapters of him being so uncomfortable felt like real..? I was kinda angry at her. But at the same time, Y/n notices them and slowly moves away. yet, only takes action if he starts it.

Moze was so cute in this book. Feixiao was so well too! You made sure to show contrast between Moze's care and Feixiao!

Moze always lurks in the shadows, So he was able to figure out about her being somewhat innocent. I was also glad you didn't show him as a love interest! I mean since y/n was Jiaoqiu's wife... It's a wife reader. So Thank you for that!

Feixiao tried to solve everything, yet kept an eye on you. Felt really happy that you showed how much she cares!

Yunli and Bailu were so cute with y/n!

Honestly, y/n's self deprivation was too relatable for me, I mean the way she cried and the breakdowns felt so real. Maybe I saw myself in this y/n so maybe that's why I didn't hate this one! The way Jiaoqiu/ everyone comforted her was just... Top tier.

The lines- something like- "You really are the goddess of betrayal! You betray your feelings to be useful/ trying to make others happy by giving yourself slowly.." This is entirely y/n's character.. I thought the love was gonna be so rushed, It didn't at all! You actually gave reasons on how he could have loved her before knowing how she was. Not those fics like, 'he only started to love her when he learned who she was'. He really started to care before itself. It was really....

Also Fuck Hoolay? He literally pulled a 'make you suffer down with me'

About the jiaoqiu version thanks for understanding! i thought ppl will say i made him wrong because he really seems like a serious guy when a threat comes up! thinking both ways. he can act out I loved working on Jiaoqiu’s development, too! I wanted to show how, even though he’s someone who struggles with his feelings, he starts caring for Y/n early on, without it feeling rushed or shallow. It’s not that sudden “I love you because I pity you” trope — his feelings are much deeper, rooted in respect and admiration that grow naturally over time. At least I hope I did!

SAME THOUGHTS THE REASON WHY I EVEN CHOSE HIM AS A SOFTER IN THIS IS BECAUSE OF THAT still he was cold but he didnt show his anger on her because he saw her crying. Feixiao was correct too! Shes a general and would def see if theres so many ways to save jiaoqiu from a spirit! I totally understand the frustration towards her self-deprivation. Writing that aspect of her, where she’s constantly trying to please everyone at her own expense, was painful but necessary to build her character. That line you mentioned, “You really are the goddess of betrayal…,” it was the reason even addressed her as the betrayal goddess I'm really sorry if it made you feel like understanding i get it it must be hard! but pls the entire message was not to sacrifice yourself you are you and theres ppl who love you! but i wrote a story using, Dream… as a character. Its a touchy subject in this community and im going to loose a lot of friends with it I have a feeling, i dont like dream as a creator and i dont fucking support him anymore and i dont want to support him. I was never a dream Stan or any of that, i never really enjoyed his content or anything but he plays a very important character in DSMP.. and that character just so happens to be an important character in an au I’ve had since 2021, i never felt good about any of it. And i caved today i wrote some stuff, posted it (with the encouragement of some irls) and im scared how people will react.. sorry its just dumb but maybe you can understand with Cough Syrup on Hiatus and all that. :(

the way i see it though like... you have had this au since 2021. and you're writing about c!dream like that character IN this au. that does not mean you support the creator dream at all, you're just exploring a fictional character in a setting that you yourself created. with CS like i've kind of come to terms with the fact that the dream i write in there is no indication of my opinion on dream the creator, i want to beat the shit out of the real guy but the actual character in the fic is fiction. im gonna make it clear on my fic notes that i do not like the real guy and writing the character doesn't negate that. does that make sense?

people have a right to not want to write c!dream in anything at all but people have the right to also keep writing their fanfictions, AU or canon compliant or something else, and including that character. and people do NOT have the right to harass over which decision someone makes in this undeniably nuanced scenario .

a breeze tugged through her hair as she made her way down the street. she had become stressed moments prior, eventually deciding to step out of the heated conversation. she was sure it was probably still taking place. her friends had been arguing about what was best to do to protect herself and max. it was blatantly stressing her out.

she sauntered down the street, thinking of the vision she'd had the day prior. she really should've had her headphones on, but the sound of nature was helping her to calm down. however, moments later she bumped into something, or someone.

y/n could feel herself being dragged across rocks and dirt. the air around her was blood red. the vines wrapped around her ankles were laced with thorns, which she knew would probably leave a scar.

finally, she was pinned against a tall rock. her eyes met vecna's dark ones. growling and screeching could be heard around the dimension.

"y/n... it's time. you know what's coming.." said vecna. the deep town of his voice made her want to curl up and cry. her only response was a slight shake of the head. small weeps escape the aperture of her lips.

a sharp nailed hand was raised to her face. she was very aware of what that caused her conscious body to do. she did her best to break out of the vines grasping her hands, but she was very low on hope.

"whats going on?" jason asked frantically as y/n's body was lifted off the ground. steve had soon returned and was now jumping to try and reach y/n's head.

"vecna's curse, same thing that happened to fred." nancy said abruptly. jason was beyond scared. had they been telling the truth the whole time? was there really demons under hawkins? he couldn't risk it, not with his best friends life on the line.

"stop! let me." he said, realizing he was taller than steve and could complete the task. he jumped slightly, placing the headphones over her ears. he pressed play on the walkman and tucked the player into the waistband of her baggy jeans. silently, the entire group prayed she would make it down safely.

just as she felt the life fading from her, she heard a sudden voice. it was feminine, and it drew vecna's attention away from her. his grip faltered slightly and she was able to slip her arms through the vines. she grabbed a rock and reached up to slit vecna's neck. when he grunted and let her go, she realized what she was hearing.

"am i only dreaming? or is this burning an eternal flame?"

yes! she thought in victory. the group had gotten to her in time, she could still get out. with that knowledge, she made a break and started to sprint towards the rip in time, through which she could see her companions.

"say my name, sun shines through the rain, a whole life so lonely,"

she jumped through puddles and ran around rocks.

"and then come and ease the pain, i don't want to lose this feeling, oh."

she dodged every obstacle that vecna threw at her, falling several times. she wouldn't give up determination.

the previous verse repeated itself as she reached the rip. right as she reached it, everything went black.

"be ready to catch!" said steve. jason promptly positioned himself, ready to catch her, or at the very least be there to hold her when she fell

as if on cue, her body descended from space. jason wasn't there to catch her, but you better guess he was first there to hold her and stroke her hair as she sobbed into him.

all anyone could do was hold her or rub a limb while she sobbed. jason pressed a chaste kiss do her head, showing his affection for her the best she could. it was as if a telepathic connection told each of them what the look in the others eyes meant. jason stared at her with fear, but adoration. y/n stared at him with gratitude and love. they knew what the other was thinking, but dismissed it for another time.

y/n only needed to be held by jason, if not for eternity, then just for a moment.

1. What is your ideal setting for focusing on your writing?

zero distractions from my family/pets. these days either my mom or brother are always popping into my room at random times, so it’s v hard to focus without worrying about switching tabs when they enter :/ i typically write without music playing in the background, but sometimes i like to jam out while writing if it fits the mood of the fic!

2. What’s your favorite genre to write?

FLUFF. it’s def the most natural for me to write, but id love if i were better at writing angst too. in terms of AUs, i really like fwb or f2l. idk tbh ive always valued solid friendships over flaky relationships but thats just me 🤪

3. Do you prefer to write on paper or digitally?

it’s faster and more convenient to type lmfao. tho im curious to know how writers do it by hand. im the type who constantly deletes/moves things around, and thats extremely hard to do by hand...... otherwise itd be fun to handwrite it.

4. It’s in the middle of the night and you suddenly wake up with an idea. What do you do?

type it into the notes on my phone as much as possible. then go back to sleep. 

5. Who is your favorite person to write about?

does this mean like a person person, or like a kind of person? if it’s a person person, i like writing about a boy named min yoongi. if it’s a kind of person, i prefer to write about ppl with layers and secrets,,, people who need time to open up.

6. Do you like making your own characters, or do you usually write about real people?

both i guess? fanfic is a mix where you use the names of pop culture icons but make them into your own characters,,,,,, so both lol. also i just love making a strong y/n character.

7. Have you ever written a book/story with more than 15 chapters (100k words)

my old jimin fanfic, lie, was 18 short chapters but nowhere near 100k words LOL my series tend to be more on the shorter side. like signed in black was around 21k for 7 chapters. witch hazel is still ongoing with 20k and it most likely wont exceed 50k.

8. How often do you get ideas?

i when i was in high school / college, i used to get ideas all the time! these days i feel like i need to be inspired by something like a song, other media, or incidents that happen to me irl. id say recently, new ideas come to me maybe once a week or less.

9. Do you ever get an idea that you really like, but can’t seem to finish?

LMFAO story of my life. i have a very long list of story ideas stored on this comp but yall will never be able to read most of them bc i dont have time to write ALL of them :/ maybe one day ill spill some of ideas that ill never write!

10. What’s your least favorite plot?

highkey not calling out anyones fave tropes but personally i avoid certain AUs like ones involving stalkers, killers, diseases, or yandere if it’s meant to be a romance fic. i feel like there are more but you guys get the idea. i also dont like when the reader character is just ditzy or too naive or whatever (and i know im guilty of writing some fics like this in the past). it’s something thats super common in shojo manga, which i used to love reading,,,,, but now im just over it. bc imo a heroine should have her flaws but not outright tripping over her face and constantly being saved by the love interest. OH THAT TOO. i *greatly* dislike when the heroine has to be saved by the love interest. i get that a lot of ppl are suckers for that kind of stuff, but i lean more toward a heroine who can hold her own!

well i literally jsut started in nov 2017 so 26!!! i mean, if u want my deepest darkest secret i started an exo fic back in like 2012 but didnt write anything after like 2 paragraphs lmao akjfhakfjsasf

2.what fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one?

seventeen almost exclusively. although i do have an ongoing monsta x fic! ive considered writing for some video games like life is strange or detroit: become human, but i think i’ll stick with seventeen for now. svt is def my fave to write about, specifically junhao and gyuhao but thats prob obv

3. do you prefer writing oc’s or reader inserts? explain your answer.

neither??? everything i write is member/member so it doesnt really apply. however, ive been kind of tempted to write reader inserts but i pro wont bc its embarrassing aksfjhafkafjas. i might tho eventually. its just really not my thing.

4. what is your favourite genre to write for?

angst!!!!! heavy heavy heavy angst!!! with very subtle, but important ‘fluff’ here and there. i normally write boring things like uni or just everyday non-idol aus, but idk lately ive been really loving my sci-fi/dystopian au so who knows. im always changing!!! but yes, angst is something i will always write no matter what.

ive never been into fluff or soft stuff and prob never will. even if i were to write something fluffy, there will def be lots of angst too akjsfhasfk

5. if you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?

okay so. ive only posted like two (kinda three) multi-chptered fics atm. and only one has multiple chapters posted. like atm im working one like … five multi-chaptered fics?? but i think no matter what natural born losers with be my favorite forever. i put so mucho f myself into it that it will always be the most important thing to me.

even if im not finished with even the first chapt of some, i KNOW natural born losers will be my fave forever.

6. if you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

most def the monsta x one bc im just not feeling it no matter how much i try. i just see too many things abt it i dont like. i want to do better with the second chpt, but if i HAD to delete one it would be that :((((((

i do love it a lot. it has to do with a lot of personal things that have actually happened to me, and there are some parts that im even surprised i had written bc i find them that wonderful (im not trying to be full of myself bc i normally think i suck) and im in love with those particualr bits.

but i mean, if i HAD to choose it would be breaths, hands, and other things to hold.

7. when is your preferred time to write?

literally any time. if im in the mood, then i will do it. even if im trying to sleep and its 4:37 am i will get up and write. whenever i get the urge to write i will!! there rly is no specific time.

8. where do you take your inspiration from?

so so so so so many diff places. from real life, to tv shows, to music. but for some specifics, nicole dollanger will forever be someone i take a huge inspiration from. all of her music is really how i feel, so she helps me get my feelings out in paper.

like i swear, anything i write, u can bet im listening to her while i write.

bc shes me, honestly. but a smarter and more articulate me.

9. in your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote?

im gonna choose an unpublished fic if thats okay!!!

so im gonna choose a scene from flowers of flesh and blood.

i havent published it yet, so i wont get into too much detail. but if you’ve played dbh you’ll kinda understand. but in it is a scene where ‘someone’ and his father picks out an android :^)

everyone will see wut i mean when i post it so asfjhasjfk. i dont want to give anything away, but im super excited abt it!!!!

10. in your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? did you have an alternate ending in mind?

ok so another one of an unpublished fic!!!!!!!!

im not gonna give aNYTHING away buy i’ll tell u this. there is no ending. the ending is very up to the reader :^)

but it’s gonna be called how to stop never being sad and i’ll post it when i finish.

im only talking abt this one bc none of my current published fics are finished or close to being finished.

a great and gruesome height: i swear to god i started crying when reading the first chapter of this, i love my boys. um yeah apart from that i dont really remember what happens (or i do but im not sure if thats this fic or another one… i read to much fic) but its post twotl and if im not wrong its like really good on the story part like it has a good storyline with good ocs and such

letters from capgras: this is kind of a weird one to explain, its like a swap where adam raki and will change places and will wakes up in nigels bed and adam wakes up on a shore somewhere with hannibal (idk how deep into the fandom u are yet but if you dont know who the fuck im talking about its nigel from “the necessary death of charlie countryman” and adam raki from “adam” and their ship name is spacedogs go and look it up its cute, also if uve done that do basic chickens which is adam from idk i dont remember but its a bad movie and a sequel and elias from “men and chicken” which is a danish movie but im not gonna try and write the danish title bc ill make a fool of myself) i dont like the hannibal/adam parts bc hannibals a creep but i really really like will/nigel 

revelation: “cannibal magnetos school for wayward murder children” its like rly good and its super codependent and unhealthy but what can u do

 q: how do you feel about collaborations?

i don’t have too much of an opinion on it, to be completely honest. im pretty particular about what i like reading though, so if their writing styles differ too much i won’t be able to enjoy it really.

with that being said, i give lots of props to those who actually collab w others bc im so picky abt my writing and have extremely specific ideas and if details aren’t described exactly how i imagined it in my head it causes me so much anxiety and distaste for it and askfhaskjfhasfkja. so it must really be difficult and i rly respect those are able to achieve that type of teamwork i could never tbh

r: are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

the first writer that comes to mind is tahereh mafi. i know her style is def not for everyone and neither is mine so sajkfhaskjf. feelinggenious on wattpad actually wrote a post about why they don’t like her style and expressed the reason being is that its “written in a chaotic, hallucinating-ish, journal style that’s oozing and overflowing of metaphors” and that ppl may find its a “lump of metaphors and horrid imagery” n binch thats exactly why i aspire to be on her level someday asfjhsfjhasfk. but i love it so much tho!! and thats exactly how i would want mine to be described as tbh

another person that stands out is tabitha suzuma. i’ve only read one book by her, but i remember ppl on goodreads reviewing it and saying its like 418 pages of poetry. she brings out so so so much emotion and all of her characters (even the younger children) are so three dimensional and they honestly felt like real people to me. the story is so so traumatic and hard to read, but i, at least, went thru so so so many strong emotions and sadness and happiness throughout the entire book. not many writers can do that to me and i admire her so so so so much. she took an extremely taboo subject and made it so you actually feel for the characters involved. i wont mention the book due to reasons but if anyone is interested u can message me or w/e!! 

and lastly, i mention her literally every moment of my life and she really is my biggest muse ??? i guess but its nicole dollanganger. she a songwriter which is technically a writer so i think she counts. not many ppl have heard of her bc she basically just came from bandcamp. but she’s been described as being like lana del rey but with way scarier and more horrific lyrics. i listen to a lot of her songs when i write to keep me going tbh. but i wouldnt rec her music to anyone who can be triggered by v*ol*nce and etc!! so keep that in mind

ok so theres not many that i CANT stand, but theres a lot i literally have no interest in. i rly am against anything obviously problematic or gross. so theres that. but in terms of just popular tropes that im not into ??? anything paranormal (which is hilarious bc i love anything else paranormal n that includes books but for some reason in fanfics i just ??? cant do it.) however there have been a few that i love so i wouldnt disregard a fic completely jsut bc it has supernatual elements. i wouldnt disregard a dystopian fic tho maybe. idk wuts wrong with my brain and why it chooses some things and not others aksjfhasfkasf. but anything thats not everyday boring basic ass shit i usually cant get into it rip

IM CHEATING !!! ok so instead of writers im gonna go w three of my fave fics bc thats easier for me.

1. letters (things unspoken) was the first fic i ever read that i really, really loved. its super heavy and so so sad so be warned if u wanna check it out. listen i didnt just tear up reading this ok. i straight up sobbed like a lil annoying binch and it really really broke my heart and wow. it involves d**th so. and its monsta x fyi

2. when i get weary of the sky is unbelievable. i havent read it in such a long time so i even forget a lot of it but i remember it being so incredible and well-written and asofhasufohas. im not gonna try to get into my reasoning bc as i said its been quite some time since ive read it and i dont want to give it an improper description. but anyway its abt pentagon!

3. desperate inhales;; relaxed exhales is shortish but its so good omg. im surprised it wasnt written by me tbh bc the author has a similar writing style as i do imo. its everything i could ask for in a fic i think. and wow its actually a svt centered fic amazing. which is wild bc 98% of the fics i read are seventeen related but yet 2/3 of the ones i mentioned are writers for different groups oops
