Same asker as the last ask, do any of your other therian identities interact with your Miscaverse dynamic?

imma broaden the question a bit more, beyond my dynamic. my misceverse identity as a whole, beyond being an Alpha/Bull, is largely impacted by my elk theriotype. i feel very fulfilled and euphoric to have these identities entwined.

as well as a deer, i am also a dog therian and spotted hyena otherhearted. being a dog does influence my misce identity a good bit. some examples -

* being an Alpha and wanting to be the 'scary dog privilege' of my relationship

* it determines what kind of gear i get, such as collars and sex toys - i generally like the looks of knotted toys, which have to do with my being an Alpha

* other behavior like vocalizations and how i show affection to my mate

being hyena 'hearted influences it to a much lesser degree. it more so gives me a lense to view some 'difficult' stuff through - i am a female Alpha, which sometimes makes me feel dysphoric, as i feel that theres very little female Alpha content out there. but i remember how spotted hyenas clans are laid out and how the females are, and i feel a bit better, i feel euphoric in my hyena 'heartedness.

its largely my being an elk therian, and i feel its because here is where two identities of mine overlap a good bit and can nurture each other very well.

this was fun to reflect on to write out an answer, thank you for the question!!

tips for deer

antler headbands! there are *so* many ways to make these!

practice quadrobics in gaits that feel familiar!

wear things like faux suede, it looks and feels like a deer pelt!

do makeup with very soft looks and “doe-eye” eyeliner!

make little freckles with brown eyeliner to be like fawn speckles!

get/make shoes with hoofs on the bottom!

do black lipstick on your upper lip to look more deerlike, and play with contouring too!!

let yourself be quiet and gentle, but incredibly protective of loved ones, like a powerful stag!

nature walks! reconnect with home!

find a place to just lay in tall grass, and maybe come back to the same spot every now and then so the grass makes a little imprint! (please be careful to check for ticks if you have them in your area!!)

find a herd! (deer friends, or nondeer friends! just satisfy that herding instinct!)

I really don't "see myself" in other people. But you know who I do see myself in? The baby pangolin walking & the coyote scurrying away despite its sharp teeth & and the cat lounging in the sun, shying away from people and very much content. I see myself in the deer that stares into the headlights of an oncoming car & the snail trudging along & the ant busy with its own, seemingly small and inconsequential task. I see myself in the combined terror and joy of bunnies & the free flying and cooing of doves & so, so many others. I don't feel human in the way that most people do, and honestly that's more freeing.

I think if you need to take a break from the community it can be really beneficial. Like any community, the want to fit in can plague us, and it can kind of obscure or distract from deepening our relationship with ourselves.
