Eastern black-legged tick, Ixodes scapularis, Ixodidae
Commonly known as the deer tick, this species is a vector for several diseases, most notably Lyme disease. In most cases, the tick must be attached for at least 36 hours to transmit the disease.

I can't relate to the "I hate popular motifs" sentiment... to me it kinda depends on how it's executed I suppose. I still like fucked up deer stuff. and bones stuff. and cannibalism. when it's good.

I found a tick on my leg this evening. Guess it jumped on me as I was walking in the driveway? There’s a few tall-ish weeds next to the car, so that makes sense.
Dad found like 8 ticks on him today, after working outside a lot. I had to get 2 that were on his back.
Now I’ve got the heebie-jeebies. Guess I might as well attempt to sleep? We’ll see if the knitting bug takes over later.
