Eris gay awakening hcs

oh yes i sure do have those! so i personally write eris as bisexual with a bit of a comphet/keeping-up-appearances outward preference for females. he’s definitely attracted to both even so — when there is this much beauty around you, something as trivial as gender doesn’t quite matter — and in autumn, there are all manner of bedslaves for royal use. (and all manner of whores for common use.) i think fae across prythian are just generally way more open with sex and freaky shit than humans. kinda like … pleasure is pleasure. why limit yourself in any way over a life so long? the things we would take issue with, they wouldn’t even think twice about. of course there’s still varying levels of prejudice with that, but i think that pleasure is pleasure mindset is very much the case for eris, who i hc is suuuper desensitized to sex and sexual attention from a young age and uses sex with others in a very selfish, masturbatory way. where things get sticky though, especially in a traditional-values, continuation-of-the-bloodline ass court like autumn, is when it comes to romantic attraction.

allat said — i think eris knows very young that he’s sexually attracted to males as well as females. that’s nothing revelatory for him. he’ll take either or both to bed freely, and both will approach for a bite of him/his power. pretty much everyone he knows will take both to bed freely too. (beron doesn’t quite approve of this for his heir, but he’s of the you are a vanserra; you take what you want and do not ask permission mindset. even while expressing his disdain for eris when he takes males to bed, beron would still think it more shameful for eris to be cowed by him when it came to something like this. fucked up guy.) i think eris has a huuuuge hangup with being penetrated though. he associates that with domination, weakness, femininity. sex is always, always about power above all, and he always needs to be the one in control. he’ll play around and indulge himself and get real freaky, but no one is ever getting a leg over on him, and he’s only focused on taking his own pleasure from others, not pleasing them. because if he pleased them, they would be taking something from him.

so the first time he’s penetrated is really pivotal for him in his sexual journey! i (naturally) hc that it’s azriel who pops his cherry in that way. i wrote it in eiteio — but basically their hatefucking culminates into azriel eating eris out, which he has never allowed before, and eris comes in just absolutely record time. then azriel fucks into him (without any prep beyond his tongue which :/) but beyond the pain, which eris wanted out of their interaction anyway, the pleasure was revolutionary. much to eris’s chagrin. like after the fact, no pleasure he takes quite hits the same. (but that’s also cuz azris had been bonding in their fucked up way, and i hc eris as a demisexual who’s pretty much just forced into hypersexuality because of the inherent sex = power mentality among the vanserra boys, courtesy of beron’s parenting. but i digress.) i think that would be the case for any queer relationship eris entered, and this personal revelation would do a lot to help him mentally unpack his sexual trauma — if he’s with the right person.

but romantic attraction! that comes really late in life, and that is a very 🫨🫨🫨 moment for him. one that i think he would fight against initially — because again, that innate fact beaten into him of The Bloodline Must Continue. it happens so late in life though that he’s able to reckon with it eventually, because he’s already gotten to a point of deprogramming himself from beron by then. if it happened when he was still young (maybe sub 100yrs old?) then oh my god i think the crashout would be insane. because he still genuinely thinks proving himself to his daddy is 1) attainable and 2) something to strive for. so he would reject the fuck out of those feelings if they cropped up. BUT i just don’t think he has time for romantic feelings like that, female or male, when he’s young. beron has already shown him that his attention is a liability to those he loves, and those he loves are an external vulnerability he cannot afford to add to. he wouldn’t even be open to the possibility unless he was put in a Situation. but yeah — the gay romantic awakening would be a trip for him.

He saw me sending asks, thought the vibes were good, we remained tumblr mutuals for a while, and now we've been really good friends for about the past year or so!

And idk, I'm just a sentimental person when it comes to how people who are staying in their own lane and making art can still alter others' lives for the better. Like you didn't know it, but you positively impacted our lives just by being you, and I think it's really beautiful how that can happen! Art is really one of this world's most unifying things, and I find that amazing.

It's difficult for me to put this into words, but I think being aro can feel quite alienating when you're a girl. Not because of exclusion, but because of expectations. I noticed this in the past month while frequenting a new environment that's mostly men and just a few women. I get along with these women, but I felt like there was a missed layer of connection. Now, seeing it from the outside, I honestly think I messed up by not talking about romance/relationships when I was asked. I think that my not saying a lot was not taken as "she's just not interested" but more as "she thinks she's above all that" or "she doesn't trust me enough to open up" and, honestly, it's not the first time it happens but I never manage to catch it before i ruin it.

hey guys. what if i told you that Jack can manipulate the egos' bodies whenever he wanted. what if he could use his Power that he used to create to hurt the things he created. what if he could break bones on demand. twist muscle and tendons. initiate intense migraines. decides that chase's stomach is sick and forces him to vomit for days. decides that marvins power should backfire and torture them with their own magic. decides that all of henriks teeth should fall out then grow back, tearing through his torn gums. its his creations. its a lot like when an author plays around with their characters. or a child plays with their toys. the egos are jacks, and so he can decide what happens to their bodies at any given point.

first thing first Kaiba's blamed for his godlessness, lack of faith. a pretty conservative notion if not for the. uhh. canon gods and magic everyone frequently witnesses. but when i rewatch the first episode again for the 85th time i cant ignore the dichotomy drawn first, not between Kaiba and Yugi, no, between Kaiba and Grandpa Muto.

as annoyed as he would be to hear this, i think the biggest reconciliation he needed to have was with the only man with "Father" in his name, who preached faith, who sicced his loyal and faithful offspring on Kaiba to take him down, and the man who Kaiba fought for the fundamental symbol both of them claim. the impertinent youth scorned by traditional elder is such a classical, parental tale.

but since the compromise most mainstream family movies reach fucking sucks and is more often than not tipping the scales in the favor of -sometimes just straight up awful- parents, Kaiba would take 1 single step towards Grandpa Muto and not budge an inch. his whole entire story culminates in this: Blue Eyes IS more than power. ONLY Blue Eyes White Dragon. its his pride and soul, its his sole blessing and its the only thing he knows and believes in. which HAS to mean Grandpa Muto gives it up, by his own logic. the boy believes. the image of godless shameless drug addict sex pest youth suddenly melting down to something much less offensive. its the aging tradition finally accepting change. its the old man finally letting go of iron grip over the young man. illusion of control that was long rejected by the youth finally fading in the old mans mind. its him accepting kids will be alright, that there is strength and honor in their way of living, that scolding will never achieve what accepting and supporting definitely will.

its not that Kaiba is such a benevolent, generous, perfect good man worthy of forgiveness and approval suddenly. its that he, like everyone else, will live a life and be shaped by it, and the only thing this father figure can do is offer support. Kaiba would spit on his face if he knew Solomon Muto came to these, rather paternal, conclusions about him while handing over the taped BEWD card. but the old man is fine with that. he keeps his mouth shut, not to further shame the young man taking the card with his head bowed, eyes sad with reverence and regret. he isnt who the boy is bowing down to. hes happy to witness his faith at all. hes happy knowing he wont even mourn his own loss of the card from the joy of seeing the boy's love for it. that Kaiba didnt even ask for it, that he assumed Solomon would give it to him. thats what makes him happiest.

Kaiba's people first come to his shop a week after. they brought documents. deals with KC for his shop to be a minor partner, with selling privileges. he laughs heartily.

human designs are genuinely so much fun because i get to actually REALLY stretch my character design muscles and play around with different facial features and body types and such, as i have discussed a million times and probably will discuss a million more

however. it is also often devastating. because i am constantly being forced to confront the fact that the characters who suck the most and deserve it the absolute least WILL without fail be the most fitted to the exact designs that are so extremely obviously My Type that there are a couple that i can’t show to my friends without them giving me a look

You know Sam Winchester is trying to connect with you when he gives you something belonging to one of your (dead) loved ones.

He gives John's journal to both Henry and Mary (!!!) and Kelly's pendrive to Jack.

It's the old Sympathy vs Empathy debate.

Sam definitely lacks empathy but he can show sympathy. And no, I don't think the first is necessarily better than the latter, altough I do think that both things taken to their extremes can lead to disconnection with other people.

And yeah, there are things that Sam can't do in the sense that he lacks the skills to do these things. Like sitting down in front of someone and ask them "talk to me" like Dean does when he sees Cas struggling in s8. Instead, he goes and gives them something. When in s13 he tries to cheer Dean up with booze, food and strippers it's not because he doesn't know Dean but rather he doesn't know what to do with Dean. As in he literally doesn't have the tools to deal with grieving people. It's exactly the same stuff that happens with the victims of the MOTW episodes.

So if these are just skills they can be learnt, right? Well, I think yes and no. I mean, there are too many things to take into account that I find it difficult to just sum them up in few generic sentences. However, what I would like to say is that lacking empathy skills doesn't make a character bad or unfeeling or uncaring. It's just what it is.

On the other hand, I personally feel for this type of characters (and ofc people in real life) because I can see them struggling and constantly failing (which most of the times they're not even aware of) at making meaningful connections.

So yeah, Sam Winchester trying to connect by proxy with people always gets me.
