lmfaooo despite every indication otherwise my libra venus ass is indeed a sucker for romance and happy endings, so here are a few cute (?) hcs

neither of them are good at communicating in interpersonal relationships, but i think they are uniquely suited to understand each other beyond their words and often without words. eris can always follow the thread of azriel’s thoughts when they get dark and heavy, and azriel is tough enough not to be pierced when eris gets angry and sharp, so he knows to look beneath and figure out what has made eris upset enough to lash out. (fun bonus: eris often uses embers of his magic to dispel azriel’s shadows because “i’ve told you not to read me, shadowsinger,” but azriel never has to rely on his shadows for something as natural to him as that.)

they never talk about it, but eris quietly helps azriel overcome his aversion to flame, mostly just through exposure. he incorporates fire consistently into their lives where he can — hearths always burning but never too hot, ropes of flame that lick cool and playful during bedplay, etc.

azriel has always run cold, and eris has always run hot. they can sleep twined together and never get uncomfortable (+ eris never gets better rest than when he is cocooned in the drape of azriel’s wings)

speaking of azriel’s wings . eris likes them very much. very very much

when eris blushes, it spreads down his whole body, tipping his ears and brightening his cheeks and flushing his chest. azriel likes making this happen very much. watching tightly laced, well-spoken, controlled eris lose his composure is one of his favorite things that’s why they fight so fiercely in canon

eris’s hounds trust azriel immediately; azriel’s shadows trust eris immediately. neither of them notice how strange this is, not even when they come to trust each other themselves

azriel adopts a taste for tea bc eris drinks so much of it. he likes to make it for them, but he is absolutely abysmal at brewing it. makes the water way too hot, always. (that’s perfect for eris; that’s exactly how he likes it.) azriel has no idea though because eris always regulates the temperature before it can burn azriel’s tongue
