State of the Heart is one of my top 5 fav albums EVER so it was really hard not to compare. I really liked the songs on it overall, although I think the track listing made it super up-down-up-down-up-down, so I didn’t love my first listen as much. Once I put the first 3 tracks as the last 3 and it opened with Poems & Apologies / came out swinging a lot more, I loved it.

I think it’s an interesting departure in that my favorite thing about SOTH (and his other songs to an extent, too) is he’s kind of writing about what it’s like to HAVE the feelings he has as, opposed to writing about the feelings themselves - that’s the most standout trait of his in my mind and I love a dude who is chronically deep inside his own head dgdhdjdjd so it was weird to only have that vibe on about half the record, but! He comes across as a MUCH stronger instrumentalist on the new album and I think put a lot into showcasing that, which is def something I really appreciated.

Favs are Poems & Apologies, Caroline [GOD to I relate this to Australia], Runaway, Little Supernovas, & Go Getter! Which is interesting bc those are (mostly) all the most up-tempo songs and on SOTH my faves are all the smaller ones - but damn his voice SHINES on those so hard it’s absolutely crazy.

A thing that left a deep impression in me was during the scene in which mc had namjoon & tae sit on nj's bed & medicate them. After setting some things straight & pulling the thorn in her side,there was a bit of an awkward silence(understandably) that was broken by tae apologising 1st. the thing that stood out to me is nj's reaction: he didn't just flow w/ tae's apology & outright refused to let the bear hybrid shoulder all the blame & responsability of both starting & escalating the fight. to me that showed maturity & confirmed that the wolf has calmed down, is feeling regretful & has been ruminating on his actions 👏👏

1 specific thing that ranks pretty high on the list of reasons of why i fell in love w/ this series & your writing style is how no matter the situation at hand, we always have solid insight to mc's thoughts,feelings & her mind, regularly & uninterruptedly. we always are aware of her inner wrld, macchinations, thoughts, opinions, reflessions etc & it's incorporated so smoothly w/ the flow of the narration, it brings her character to life in new ways each time!!

Another specific thing i love abt this series: each scenting scene in unique to the character & moulded after his personality. we see more of this characterisation & differentiation between them also in the small,laid back & domestic-y details like their tastes in cake (i'm team jk, cheesecake supremacy!), the changes they've done to the room to make it more theirs or not really in the case of jimin, their unique scents, which ones of them tend to tease mc more & their way to do it, which ones are already more physical even in lowkey instances such as hugging the mc when she bid them good night & the difference in which each one of the guys is showing her that he's warming up to her

AHHH so Jeongguk's velvet shedding is one of my favorite little details about him! I definitely wanted to include something like that when I originally planned out this series; I thought the goriness of velvet shedding fit in well with some of the eerie parts of the plot, and it especially fits Jeongguk's edginess. And the full moon theory Jeongguk had about Namjoon! I guess it is a sort of fantastical theory that Jeongguk came up with (MC looking at him like he grew an extra head) But you're so right, the moon has a very important role in so many religions and spiritualities, particularly in MC's practice, as well. I'm not sure if Namjoon has put the pieces together about how the moon influences his moods yet, but then again, he is very interested in this sort of subject matter, so it is definitely a possibility. When the moon is fuller, or in waxing phases, he would be easier to agitate, and during new moons or waning phases he'd be more collected and calm.

I agree with you during the whole "bandaging/scolding/apology" scene; Namjoon definitely put his pride aside and admitted that Tae was taking too much blame. Namjoon is quick to anger and react, so after the dust settled, he realized how he had flown off the handle and how it effected everyone else in the home. Hence how badly he felt, and why he felt the need to take share of the blame. He's learning how to control those reactions, slowly but surely!

YOONGIIII!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️ He's my darling, truly. In this fic and otherwise. Yoongi is a sweetheart irl, and I wanted this reflected in Trouvaille. I just love how he quietly looks after her, and yes, he has his moments of teasing, but really he's just a softie. I'm so happy you love him, and I really enjoyed writing the scene where he steps in before Hoseok and Seokjin can flash her-- definitely breaks up the tension with some comedic relief!

(P.S., you're onto something with the sense of familiarity between MC and Yoongi!! I don't want to give too much away, but you're on the money....) 🤭

For me it's a progressive thing as the first season goes on, as you say in 1x07 when he tells his parents he loves Brian and he's all he wants, it's true but its in the puppy love/infatuation era for me. Justin is only 17 and of course he feels that whirlwind rush of 'Omg I'm in love with this guy he's everything' feeling. As the season continues Brian demonstrates acts of care and love towards Justin, which over the course of the 14 episodes help Justin and the audience realise that his love for Brian is something true.

Here's my list of moments which to me bit by bit help Justin and us realise he's falling in love with Brian and how he fully means it when he says it

1x08 - Brian is adamant that Justin return to his parents and that he cannot stay with him at the loft, but once he's there and encounters his homophobic father and hears how for Justin to continue living there he would have to suppress and deny his entire being, Brian gives the 'that's not love that's hate' speech and takes Justin home with him. We see the look of shock on Justin's face as Brian asks him if he's coming with him, because even though he feels strongly about Brian he never expected him to take him back home with him. We then get one of my fave scenes when they have dinner together, and Brian compliments Justin's cooking and we get a small scene of them smiling at each other and an indication that these two might be something special.

1x10 - Justin runs away to New York and even though Brian essentially threw him out at the start of the episode, he still goes down there to find him, tells him he's taking him back to Pittsburgh and that he's gonna help him find a place to live and sort his life out. We even hear Justin tell Brian that deep down he hoped he'd come find him and was quite relieved when he did. For all his protests Brian took the time to get him home, not call the police and organise the move into Debbie's place and not just send him back home

1x14 - Justin hearing about Brian being accused of sexual harassment by Kip at his workplace, goes out of his way a bit stupidly but he's blinded by his love for Brian into taking the matter into his own hands and getting Kip to drop the charges against Brian by a bit of light blackmail. He could've easily ran and told Brian what he did but he instead chose to keep it to himself, happy in the knowledge that he helped him out in some way after all Brian's done for him.

1x18- I think by this point Justin has moved past the infatuation stage, and is definitely in love. This episode again has one of my fave moments with the scene at Babylon where Brian berates Justin for giving up his dreams of going to art school because he feels guilty about his parents divorce. He recalls their first meeting and says how even though Justin was terrified he still went home with Brian he took a risk and went after something he wanted, he impressed him by doing it. You can see a look of shock and recognition on Justin's face that Brian remembers that, and Brian's opinion is important to him, so if he believes in him then that means a lot to Justin.

1x21/1x22- When we reach these episodes Justin does voice to Michael he loves Brian and is devastated by him going to New York and tells him not to go with the gorgeous New York Goodbye Hug as I've titled it scene, where he tells Brian that he'll probably forget him and think he was just a dumb kid who thought he was in love with him. But at this point there's more weight to Justin being in love with Brian, as its become more obvious that Brian's in love with him. Yes he speaks the words of I'm walking out and never looking back, but his words betray him as he clings to Justin for dear life and strokes his hair as they hug goodbye. What's there to say about the prom episode at this point its blindingly obvious that both men have fallen in love with each other and there's no turning back.

You know my fave ship is Yoonmin (I don’t take shipping irl seriously, don’t come for me plz) but I absolutely LOVE the dynamics between Kookie and Yoongi in this fic. Yoongi, are you so jaded, so blind by your general saltiness that you are not understanding the very obvious clues being thrown your way?!?!?! Kookie, where are you? Put this man in his place please!!

And then when he was told that Kook bought that house he’d had his eyes on for years, uughhh, I was hurting for our Yoonie!

“Yoongi suddenly felt like crying, but he settled for collapsing onto the bench and clenching his fist.”

AAAHHH! But wait a little while Yoongi, I promise all this hurt will be over soon!

“Suddenly, Namjoon growled menacingly, startling everyone. Hoseok looked over to the spot where Namjoon was steadily staring, curiosity in his gaze before it too hardened and he started glaring with bared teeth. A random city Alpha that had been approaching them instantly halted, hands out in surrender.”

HOW COULD I FORGET THIS SUB-PLOT!!! Jin was over there laughing at how oblivious Yoongi was, and he isn’t any better, is he?!? Imagine having Joon and Hobi scaring the competition away like that??!! I would take them home immediately!

“There’s a huge plush rug and plenty of blankets, big fluffy pillows, a little stash of food and entertainment. I even put scent blockers around so no one would smell anything coming from inside,” Yoongi preened as he thought of his perfect hideaway.

Yoongi would def be one to make his little den as comfortable as possible! But I just thought of something. In your earlier description of Yoongi’s apartment, he said it was a bit stark and lacked any real decor. BUT he went out of his way to make this den as comfortable as possible. He bought a string of fairy lights, and he had to go to the big city to get them! It’s almost like it was fate, or maybe deep down he knew that something was going to happen, and he was inadvertently nesting! (please insert “I’ve connected the dots” meme here)

“He was sure there were plenty of Alphas running around with those piercings and Kook’s ginormous honker of a nose.”

SIR!! My heart cannot take this punishment! And OFC he’s a Prime Alpha, Kookie doesn’t know how to half-ass anything!

“And just like he had a million times before, Yoongi gave in like the soft ass bitch he was.”

He really is soft for all of them!!! Yoongi will let them do whatever they want with him, he’ll complain the entire way but we all know he secretly loves it!

“Yoongi dared a quick look behind him, audibly gulping at the sight of the Alpha staring at his ass like he was a starving man at an all you can eat buffet. Jungkook was grinding his jaw and had his nails dug into the dirt like he was trying to control himself.”

I mean, we’ve all seen the Yoonbooty. It does look very biteable. Relatable AF Kook!

“Jungkook continued poking around in things; picking up a candle to sniff, trying to sneak a peek into the duffle bag, ruffling around in the bag of snacks - all while stealing glances at the bed in the middle of the room. “

WAY TO NOT BE OBVIOUS KOOK!!!

“What are you doing, Kook? You’re wasting time here when you should be out there chasing down your mate. They are probably wondering where you are.”

Every time I read this, I die a little bit inside (in a good way, I promise). Yoongi’s whole world is about to be turned upside down, and he has no idea!!!

“The house…”

Jungkook’s eyes softened, smiling fondly at him. “I bought it for you, hyung. Whether you choose me today or not, it’s yours.”

I cry.

What a courting gift!!! Kook doesn’t understand subtlety, does he??!! And how selfless is this? This is a no-strings attached gift, given to Yoongi out of love.

I cry.

“I love the way we are now, equals with a little bit of babying me on the side,” Jungkook grins when Yoongi snorts, shaking his head fondly at the other.”

I would like to see that please.

AND THEN THIS LINE:

“Omega,” Jungkook says softly, so rife with emotion that Yoongi can hear everything he’s trying to say in just that one word. “May I enter your nest?”

This is it, this is as far as I go fam. I have been destroyed with six whole words. How can such a simple statement hold so much emotion, so much hopeful pleading?

And then the whole interaction on the bed! Yoongi asking if he wants to play cards (bwahahaha, sure Jan), Kookie being prepared to wipe away all the descenting salve, Kook getting scent high, YOONGI’S GRANDPA RUN, those first initial uses of pet names, everything was so intimate and playful. It was beautiful!

“I bet I could easily pick you up and fuck you against a wall sometime if you wanted. Maybe even have you straddle my shoulders and I could suck you off that way,” Jungkook muses so matter of factly despite the subject matter, and Yoongi can feel himself get wetter by the second.”

Aaaaaaand there’s the emotional whiplash I’ve come to love from you!

“Whatever you want. You’re in charge.”

Kookie being selfless again! I cannot! It’s about these little things that are done between partners that really matter. Kook is a newly presented virgin Prime Alpha in the midst of a claiming, and his first priority is still making sure Yoongi feels good. He’s giving him all the power here.

“Good,” Yoongi yawns loudly and throws a couple of blankets over them, tangling their legs together. “Later we can try the thing with the nipples.”

Again, I would like to see that please.

“Suddenly, Yoongi’s eyes shoot open and he gasps.

“Oh shit! Your brother is going to kill me!”

Jungkook merely laughs”

“Jungkook walked straight towards the first woman he saw with a clipboard, blindsiding the stunned woman with one of his lethal smiles while he wrapped an arm around Yoongi’s waist to pull him close.

“Hi! We both need mating packets.”

Yoongi rolled his eyes because he could tell that Jungkook was practically bragging instead of just asking like a normal person.”

He’s practically bragging about Yoongi being his mate! I have a feeling Kookie is going to be unbearable to be around in the upcoming weeks.

And then we get a teeny tiny peek at the Nam-Jin-Hobi subplot and ooomg I hope you’re able to explore this particular pairing in the future. There is so much potential there for steamy/fluffy scenes!

“I just mean, like, soulmates. You know? Maybe we were supposed to meet to help each other find our mates. Or maybe we are all soulmates in various forms.”

DON’T! DON’T HURT ME THIS WAY, I CANNOT AND WILL NOT SURVIVE!

AAAAH this fic was wonderful! It feels complete the way you ended it, but I am definitely still craving more! Good job, dayumm!

It still amazes me how many people have read this one lol. But yeah, this is one of my favorites too. I do have other side stories that I’m working on for this one, including one from Jk’s birthday and another for Namjinseok.

I just really really love writing people that are so unapologetically whipped. Like, it’s such a major thing for me because in real life there are a ridiculous amount of people that are embarrassed to show how much they care about their SO, and like, why? Why are you even with them if you’re so embarrassed to show them any affection? Show the world that you are proud they choose to be with you, show your person that they are precious. I’m not even saying buy them shit all the time (because for some reason het males seem to think that’s what everyone means). I mean hold their damn hand, write them a note, tell them they are pretty. There’s a reason that a person who technically still identifies as gay man is in a steady relationship with me, a pan woman. And it’s because I fucking treat him like he’s the reason my heart beats and I’m not ashamed to show the world. Ok, I’m ranting now lol. I’ll stop. But you get the picture.

Is your character popular in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK. For sure, for being the cutest of cutes!! All Zeldas are cute though but she was the blueprint ;v; 

Is your character considered hot™ in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK. I’m a devout christian virgin I would never ever look at those kind of topics the only hot I see is the flames of hell for even considering this smh smh bUT NO FOR REAL THO I’M NOT REALLY SURE???? I mostly see people gushing over how cute she is rather than hot. 

Is your character considered strong in the fandom?  YES / NO / In some aspects. We don’t really see Skyward Sword Zelda’s abilities in the games as we did in, say, BOTW where she goes full goddess mode. Aside from blessing the master sword, sealing herself away, and the implications that the game gives us with Zelda being not only a student at the knight school but also a badass warrior goddess in her past life; I’d say she’s pretty up there in terms of strength. 

Are they underrated?  YES / NO. GONNA GO WITH YES AND NO ON THIS. As a character, Zelda is far from underrated she’s actually cliche blonde character we all love and stan but in this incarnation.... also yes and no because while I see a lot of people like SS Zelda keep in mind that SS is the black sheep of the series so not a lot of people have good opinions on it. I’ve seen some say she’s annoying, too shoujo or even Mary Sue at some points and hweoh we all know that the last one ain’t even close to true since she’s far from bland and OP written. But it’s all a matter of perspective!  

Were they relevant for the main story?  YES / NO.

Were they relevant for the main character? YES / NO /

Are they widely known in their world?  YES / NO.

How’s their reputation?  GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL / FOR THE MOST PART, if we were talking verses like say witch verse she’d have more of a neutral reputation considering witches aren’t really well-liked ;-; 

How strictly do you follow canon?  

I try to do the best that I can do given with what we’re working with here all while adding my own spin to her characterization because we all have different perspective when it comes to art! How I see Zelda is someone who’s bubbly, playful (big ol bully hweoh), a bit of a busybody if she feels she needs to step in due to worrywart tendencies yet highly responsible and carries a wisdom that’s beyond her age, she doesn’t like seeing people bullying others and isn’t afraid to put her foot down to speak her mind if something is up. While kindness is sorta her strong suit I wanted to go beyond “nice girl” and just showcase other sides of her too, hence why main verse is typically set during the events of SS because here we see her growth into the girl we see at the end of the game where she’s melancholic of her past but is looking forward to seeing what the future holds and wants to build a brighter tomorrow with Link by her side along with friends and loved ones. I’m not at all confident in playing as her, despite playing as Zelda since 2017 haha!! So I can’t really say that I’m super strict in following canon considering that’s how I view the character through the actions and dialogue throughout the game, perhaps the creators had something different in mind than how I see Sky Zelda.

Introducing your very own friend: Zelda from hit series Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This Zelda is more extreme than the others due to the fact that she’s not a princess, that’s right no princess titles clogging up that beautiful name. Just a knight who somehow finds out she’s actually a goddess reborn as human, no biggie!

SHOUJO PROTAG WHO’S TOO FREAKING CUTE!! So.... if that’s not your cup of tea ;v; but nah I can see people not liking Zelda because not everyone like the nice girl who’s your childhood friend characrter, I totally get it but if you dig a little deeper you see that there’s more to it than that.

What inspired you to rp your muse?  

My close friend was FINALLY getting into the LOZ series back when BOTW was first coming out, her playthrough of SS made me remember how much I loved each characters and honestly Zelda’s design in that game was always my fav right next to Tetra and ALTTP/ALBW! At the time I mostly played more introverted muses or straight up villains and I wanted to try my hand at playing more wholesome characters like Sky Zel and ALTTP Zel ;v; now look at me, the CEO of wholesome cute girls ;v; 

What keeps your inspiration going?  

Motivation and time at this point, I’m not the young starry-eyed rper who used to have playlists and replay things to keep up with canon. I just pray to god I’m doing ok, let jesus take the wheel and just sorta do my own thing. I think having fun threads or a friendship with partners or just good vibes from them def helps a whole lot.

I mean, that’s a trick question because I can be sensitive in picking up tones and reading between the lines but like if you mean if someone says something mean than no not anymore at least, I’m too old to care about what people say about me or think about me.

YE! I do! I mean we’re all improving and junk so I see no issues with criticisms uvub I always worry about whether or not you can hear different voices within the characters I rp as among writing issues I have that comes with learning disability and ADD, I try my hardest but I know at the end of the day there will always be grammar mistakes and even spelling! 

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?

YES YES YES!! OMG YES!! I TAKE WHATEVER QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE AND JUST... WORD VOMIT BACK SEVEN PAGE ESSAY SOMETIMES ;V;

Eh, well yeah it’d be nice honestly to hear feedbacks and thoughts. Just saying ‘I don’t like this or I don’t agree with this’ doesn’t really help anyone who wants to improve but I’m not gonna like press them for it either because again I’m at the stage in my life where I’m just like ‘it is what it is’. 

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?

Shrug emoji, and then move on! Again it’d be nice if they can tell me though but I won’t press them for it if they don’t feel like it. We’re allowed to have our opinions after all yo!

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?

It is illegal to hate sky zel or any Zel really... NAH JK I DON’T REALLY CARE I’ve liked characters who aren’t popular among the fandom, I’m more or less used to seeing character bashing for faves so like it doesn’t really affect me at all I’m just like “lol” and move on. 

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?

YES! Though keep in mind, despite me using Grey instead of Gray, I use US English ;v; so keep that in mind when spotting out certain words other parts of the world may spell differently because us US Americans just..... gotta be extra like that. 

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?  

I TRY!!! IDK IF I COME ACROSS AS THAT but I’m very much someone who goes with the flow anyway, I’ve been told that much IRL and I’m just hweoh not really someone who’s a stick in the mud or has a stick up their ass, you know? I’m pretty laid back and not much bothers me, I can get petty if I have to come across rude people that’s the one thing that kills it for me but aside from that, I just wanna try to get along with people. We don’t have to be friends if you’re not feeling the vibes but friendly terms is good enough for me!
