i think some of us are forgetting that humans are multifaceted beings. i keep seeing people saying that him going out/potentially cheating with sutton automatically makes him a bad dad and horrible person that treated deb like shit along with a whole more slew of accusations on his character. if his relationship with sutton really did from an affair, that's shitty. it doesn't mean he's the worst ever. we don't know this person. from all accounts he is the nicest man in hollywood. maybe it's just my upbringing but i don't think we need to string him up. you don't have to like him anymore obviously. i just think it's ridiculous that one wrong move gets people who claimed to be your fans rallying against you. idk i know for my mother for example cheated on one of her partners years ago and im close with others who have been on both sides in similar situations aswell. the reason i bring this up is because we can recognize that people make mistakes no matter how old they are. i just don't think we should be discrediting everything hugh has ever done to the point where we are calling him a shitty parent and saying he is 'abandoning his kids like his mother did to him'. that is an objectively INSANE statement to make about a man you have never met before. idk i think some of us need to realize that people doing something terrible doesn't undo every good action they've done.

Just read the Yahoo article and found this interesting: "Hugh's close friends have seen a rejuvenated glow to him, and that is all thanks to Sutton," the source explained, adding that the couple "bonded over their individual marital struggles but didn't strike up a romance until he was out of the heartbreak of his relationship ending." So, he didn't cheat? I'm getting whiplash from all the articles contradicting each other.

I’m not one to nitpick, but I read it all twice to take in the whole story. From the sounds of it, he probably started an emotional affair first, especially if there were already marriage issues. Then, when Deb confronted him about it, he might’ve gaslit her. (I know people have brought up articles saying his marriage issues started during Covid, but I haven’t seen anything about Sutton having problems in her marriage;actually, I’ve seen the opposite.)

Also, let’s not forget that he and Sutton were hanging out as “friends” with their families while being in the Music Man and before his split became public in September 2023, which makes the gaslighting theory feel pretty fitting. Now, if Sutton’s marriage was solid and she still decided to go after him, that’s a whole other rabbit hole I’m waiting for someone to dive into because I don’t know enough about the Broadway tea to connect all those dots.

And can we talk about the whole “Uncle Hugh” thing? Like, imagine putting your kids in a such uncomfortable position that they don't know how to approach it. How are you out here dating your ex-costar and still expecting the other parent to just be chill about it? It’s wild

Mini rant. Pre-warning. I have never been big on celebrity gossip, ever, but seeing today that Hugh Jackman and Deb are getting separated shook me up. To anyone that has known me a long time, they would know that Hugh Jackman used to be my favorite celebrity for God knows how long. A few years ago there were some things that slowly started to change that for me. But I always ALWAYS loved his and Deb's relationship. I know that it's none of my business, but damn I never thought I'd see the day where the two of them got separated. Their love seemed so pure and genuine. Young DM is devastated and heart broken because I really liked the two of them together when I was a child. Hugh Jackman is no longer one of my favorites although I will always have a strong appreciation and respect for him because he helped get me through a significant part of my life, but that young girl inside of me that adored the shit out of him and his wife together is crushed. That was one of my two favorite celebrity couples in my life as I'm not a big celebrity person to begin with but seeing they are separated? Just heart breaking. It truly is. I wish them the best, but damn. Just damn.

i don't think his marriage to deb was fake or just a cover up because 27 years is a long ass time to spend in a loveless marriage, and from what ik about deb she seems like she wouldn't put up with that - ESPECIALLY because when they first got together she was the more famous one so it's not like she married him for his money

in all honesty hugh gives me very much bisexual vibes and some of the 'theories' on why he might be into men lowkey make sense to me so i wouldn't be surprised if he's screwed dudes before. i'm not gonna lie to u guys i think most people in hollywood are swingers and tend to fuck around with one another which is why i'm not taking these cheating rumours very seriously (that along with the fact it's usually common for people to be separated for a significant amount of time before actually getting divorced, so we can't really tell if there was actually any overlap)

overall i don't actually know these people i have no idea what they're lives are really like - everything i say is speculation. again, when it comes to famous people being a gossipy bitch is something i take a lot of joy in and will happily do on here with all of u guys but at the same time i'm able to recognize these are real life people ill never meet and it's important that u guys recognize that too.
