A Single Touch: Part 2 - Debbigail
(Sorry I took so long for the second part. For the record, never live on a farm unless you like working all the time for whatever reason. Anyways, if you haven’t read the first part then you might want to. Enjoy my horrible writing!!)
Read the other parts!  Part 1 | Part 3
———————-
“I can’t believe that was your best plan!” Louie complained. I just ignored him, knowing that’s just kinda what Louie does.
My sides were burning now. Just hot enough for it to be uncomfortable. I felt anxious but I didn’t feel like a hospital visit was needed. The warmth... it reminds me almost of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the same time..? Weird, I know. The coziness and calm the night of Christmas Eve, and the exhilaration and borderline anxiety on Christmas Day to see what you got from Santa seemed to be all wrapped up together where the soulmate imprints were on my sides. I couldn’t focus on it for too long though. I moved on from that thinking as quickly as possible, as if I were being pushed by something invisible telling me to hurry up.
Thanks, I’ll get right on that.
And I did. I flung the door open while declaring loudly, “Come on guys!” I grinned mischeviously at them. “Let’s go touch some expensive stuff.” Was the last thing I said before a rope of some sort wrapped around me and lifted me away!
Maybe I screamed, maybe I didn’t. I won’t tell.
I heard my brothers yell after me before they were captured as well.
———————-
After an extremely short amount of time, we found ourselves hanging upside and with a spotlight on us. The rest of the room was dark so we had no clue who attacked us. I couldn’t help but feel fear build up inside me, not quite even with the soulmate marks but definitely up there. I started wiggling around in the ropes to get free but they were just too tight. By now my soulmate marks were so hot it was really hurting and I’m honestly surprised the rope didn’t catch on fire.
“I’ll put the marbles back!! I swear!!!” I whined. If it was Mrs. Beakley and she thought they stole from Uncle Scrooge then I hoped she would be less likely to hurt us if we gave away information freely.
“Who sent you?!” The voice snapped at us and I felt a jolt race down my spine. It wasn’t from fear though, that much I knew. “Ma Beagle? Glomgold?! Answer me?!”The menacing voice said from the shadows and all I could do was stare in the direction of the mysterious voice. As weird as it was, it was like my body was crying out in anguish, despite the fact that I was unharmed.
Tied upside down and interrogated, but unharmed.
“UNCLE SCROOOOOGE!!!” Louie cried and I would’ve gotten really furious with the voice if it weren’t for my fear and intrigue.
“Uncle Scrooge?” The voice questioned, having gone from threatening to curious quicker than a lightening strike. “OH MY GOSH!!! THE NEPHEWS!!!” The voice screamed and while I felt my brothers flinch from the sudden noise, I managed to remain still. The next thing I knew I saw a cute little girl with a pink bow in her hair clap the lights on.
My face flushed and it wasn’t because of the blood rushing to my head from being upside down. A girl captured and carried us here and tied us up and made Louie cry in under a two minutes? I didn’t know whether to be intimidated or amazed so I decided both was good.
I noticed the palms of her hands had her soulmate marks. Which was incredibly common but these looked so familiar and... they looked as if they were almost shining a little bit.
“Wait, you know us?” Louie said as she ran up to us, her chin-length hair bouncing all the while, and I smiled without even meaning to. She stood on a nearby rolly-chair carefully and grabbed a knife that had been stabbed into a map. She sliced the rope expertly so me and my brothers hit the wooden floor with a thud.
She got down from the chair and stood next to it while we checked ourselves for anything bruised or broken. “Of course! Researching Mr. McDuck and his family is kind of my hobby.” She explained excitedly, halfway resting her head on her hand which still held the knife.
“W-Wha?” Louie questioned weakly, still really freaked out I’m guessing. And... Maybe I just hit my head too hard but everything this girl did seemed to be really kind of endearing.
As I was starting to get up, the girl immediately plucked a hair from Louie’s head, threw the knife behind her and asked “What are your blood types?” All in the same second.
That was when I froze.
I knew what was going to happen and this, let me tell ya, is probably the most thrilling thing I have ever felt.
“What’s Donald really-“ She started and cut herself off as she slipped her hands around my sides.
Right where the imprints of her hands belonged.
“-like?” She finished but clearly she had focused on other things. The burning heat that the imprints had given me vanished and was replaced by the coziest, happiest feeling I had ever experienced as I stared at the girl who was my soulmate. I stared at her in amazement before my brain started to function again and naturally made me remember nearly every daydream I’d had about meeting my soulmate.
Particularly every embarrassing one that made me wish I had something to cover my now flushed face.
“I-uh... I-I-I...” I tried but nothing came out. All I could do was stare and stutter until she smiled and I definitely did not melt at the sight of such cute expression...
Okay, that was a lie.
“I like hamburgers!” She yelled suddenly and I winced from being so close to the noise. Then she opened her beak again. “I really don’t know why I just told you that.”
I was about to answer before she continued. “Or why I paused like that. That was weird. And I mentioned it. Why did I bring it back up?” She kept rambling anxiously and I just smiled at this sweet girl that was apparently my perfect match. My other half.
I saw Louie out of the corner of my eye shake his head and growl a little bit. We all turned to look at him as he took some money out of his pocket gave it to a still shocked Huey. “Dang it. Can’t believe I lost.” Louie groaned and Huey shook his head too before looking pretty smug. I simply ignored them and looked back towards the girl and realized that I had yet to ask her name.
“So, um, what...what’s your name?” I asked and winced, mentally kicking myself. Come on, Dewey! Where’s that dashing, debonair Dewey Duck from earlier?
The girl straightened and blinked before replying with a grin. “Oh, hi! I’m Webby. It’s nice to meet ya.” She said brightly while seeming just the tiniest bit shy.
Turns out dashing, debonair Dewey Duck is on vacation away from awkward, dorky Dewey Duck.
“I’m Dewey.” I just barely got out, feeling my face flush.
“I know.” Webby said and before I could ask, she explained for me. “I like researching Mr. McDuck’s family..” She explained and I smiled.
“Yep, I definitely remember you telling me that a while ago.” I said and she laughed a bit. My heart probably would’ve burst by then if it weren’t for Louie.
“Ew, are they gonna kiss or something?”
As soon as I heard it I realized that her arms were still on my sides and my arms holding her shoulders. I think she realized the same thing right as I did because we both jumped away from the other at the same time.
“NO!” We both yelled indignantly. Louie’s question and laughter really did not help me at all to focus on being smooth.
Of course, my mind naturally floods with visions of me and Webby going on dates, watching movies together, hopefully adventuring, maybe just some kissing... I quickly shook my head, my face rivaling the red of a tomato.
Webby was looking around and seemed nearly as embarrassed as me before she gasped. “Oh wait, I need to add all this to my board!!” She exclaimed before pulling out some ancient Polaroid camera and taking one picture of me and my brothers and one picture of me on my own. Both pictures were very bad. Of course, I didn’t tell her that.
“Tell me everything about you guys.” She said excitedly as she pinned the pictures to the bottom of her board before turning to us.
“Uh... We live with our uncle.” Louie offered uncertainly.
“On a boat..?” I said and I mentally slapped myself for not being able to think of anything useful. I blame Louie. It’s his fault my brain wants to keep thinking about Webby and how... she looks really adorable when she’s focused and listening.
“Go on.” Webby said, mainly looking at my brothers but I was glad to notice she would glance my way every few seconds.
“Kinda it. We’re just a normal, boring family. Well, for the most part...” Huey added and looked to me with a smirk.
Apparently, embarrassment does not go away if your siblings do everything to keep it there.
Webby completely ignored that last part, thankfully. “Normal? Boring? Ha!” She laughed before allowing the thing covering her board to roll up.
I am unashamed to say my jaw dropped.
It was basically an entire diagram board concerning my family’s history.
I stared at Webby, wanting to say something. Anything. I’d even be willing to even embarrass myself as long as it showed how impressed I was but nothing came out.
“Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck.” She explained as she attached a random string around the pin holding up our poorly taken photo. Aw man! I had my eyes closed! “Scrooge McDuck’s great nephews on his sister Hortense’s side side, with Quackmore Duck twice removed.” She explained, practically bursting with untapped energy. I was curious if she ever ran out of energy.
I looked at the board more closely and right at the bottom right corner I saw a couple drawings scribbled in pieces of notebook paper.
“I’m guessing this is you.” I said, motioning towards the pink person-like figure on the picture.
“Oh, I’m Webby Vanderquack. My granny’s the housekeeper.” She explained to me, smiling. I smiled back and tried not to let my daydreams take over my mind again... Me and Webby around Christmas, her probably wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, looking as adorable as ever... Me and Webby under the mistletoe... ‘NO! Bad Dewey! Stop that! You’ve only just met her!’ I scolded myself but I’m a rebel so I talked back. To myself. ‘But it’s almost like you’ve known her forever.’
Ugh, I’m not dealing with this. Shut up brain.
“So, uh, what are we?” Webby inquired, sounding unsure.
I wanted to say something smooth to that. I used every bit of concentration and suaveness I had (which was quite a bit normally, but today I was pretty distracted).
“In love, I hope.” I said with a wink and my most charming grin.
Boy, and I had thought my face was red before.
Webby’s hands flew up to her face as if to hide the crimson that was quickly traveling all over her face. I took a couple steps toward her, unsure of where this confidence was coming from. I was about a foot away from her before I stopped.
Webby clearly was struggling to function and I grinned proudly, glad that I wasn’t the only one affected by my soulmate here. Webby moved her hands from her face and opened her beak. Then closed it only to open it again and say, “Cuddling releases natural painkillers!” Before she turned around and started writing on her board frantically.
She attached one string from her picture to the picture with me and my brothers and wrote “friends” in big, red marker. I felt a little hurt by that but I was still unsure of how to answer her random fact. Until she attached a little red string from her picture to the one that just had me and underneath the string she wrote “soulmates.” I grinned at her even though she was staring at the board intently, as if she planned to interrogate it.
“She’s right by the way,” Huey spoke up and we all turned to look at him. “It says here in the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook that, according to scientific studies, cuddling and/or snuggling are a natural pain reliever.
Louie smirked. “Well then, I need to be cuddled immediately ‘cause I’ve been in pain most of the day.” Louie said snarkily and I would’ve gotten mad if it weren’t for Webby.
“Why? Did you hurt yourself?” She asked, clearly confused. She looked at me then Huey and Louie, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
I saw Louie started to snicker and Huey was definitely trying to hide his amused grin behind his JWG. Webby stared at me, bewildered. “Never mind, Webby. I’ll have tell ya later.” I said and she continued to look confused.
“So, friend,” Louie started, motioning to the board where Webby wrote ‘friends.’ “What do you do for fun around here?”
“Oh. I’m the best at fun.” She said but it didn’t really sound like she meant it. She looked around for a second before she kicked open a vent and started to crawl through.
I grinned. Now, this was my kind of fun. Adventure!
I followed right behind her. I looked back at my brothers who were following behind me. “I sure am glad we ditched that Marble Room.”
———————-
We were crawling through the vents, enjoying exploring as Webby explained where we were.
I somehow ended up in the back because I was trying to remember exactly how to get anywhere in the maze.
“I have enough excitement caring for Webby.” The housekeeper, Mrs. Beakley, said below. She was talking to Uncle Scrooge, who looked like he was in some sort of weird deep sea diving suit. “Perhaps you should spend some time with your own family.”
“Oh, aye? Hang up my spats? Become the dotering old relic everyone thinks I am, spinning yarns to those loudmothed young’uns about the man I used to be?” Uncle Scrooge argued back and I did feel a bit guilty about watching them but... It was just too interesting.
“You have avoided them for ten years!” Mrs. Beakley argues and I’m guessing she was talking about us.
“Because,” Uncle Scrooge started, his voice slowly rising. “Family is nothing but TROUBLE!!!” He roared in his thick Scottish accent, turning towards Mrs. Beakley. Today was going so well until that moment. Honestly, I’m glad he’s avoided us if he thought of like that anyways. I hardened my face and kept moving, hoping to catch up with the others.
———————-
I managed to catch up to my brothers and Webby pretty quickly after that little scene I saw. It just made me feel really... upset, I guess, that some part of my family, even if we weren’t close, didn’t even like us at all. I get me and my brothers can be tough to deal with but to basically just to say you hate us? I tried to move those thoughts away and focus on happier things.
“-a bit over-protective.” I just heard Webby mid-sentence as I crawled out of the vent and landed in the floor. She seemed too lost in thought to notice that I caught up.
“She trains me to be ready for anything,” She said while going into a fighting stance. I’m guessing she meant her granny. “But then she says that I’ve got everything I need in here.” She paused and looked down sadly. I felt bad for her. Our Uncle Donald did the exact same thing but me and my brothers always rebelled. Webby’s too kind and innocent and sweet to try and do anything like that.
“But one day... I’m gonna see the world. I’m gonna be and EXPLORER! I’m gonna eat a hamburger.” She said seriously, while pointing in front of her dramatically. She glanced my way quickly before refocusing.
“We could bring you a hamburger.” Huey offered, him and Louie looking amused.
“You guys really are my best friends.” She stated gratefully as Huey and Louie walked off to explore the room. I leaned against the wall for a second as Webby watched my brothers walk away.
She turned towards me and smiled brightly. I had to force myself to not just smile and stare creepily. “Hamburgers are pretty good.”
She nodded. “That’s what I’ve heard! But come on, we can talk about hamburgers and their magical properties later.” She said excitedly before grabbing hold of my hand and leading me toward the door my brothers were staring at.
“Welcome to the Wing of Secrets!” Webby said mysteriously as she opened the door to the dark room.
Webby rushed in with Huey and Louie right behind. I stayed back, my mind still kept dwelling on why Uncle Scrooge seemingly hated us. I don’t think I did anything wrong other than just doing normal kid things like asking a bajillion questions at once.
There were so many things in here. Bones of dinosaurs and other unnameable creatures. A portrait of Scrooge standing over a naked bear. “I knew it!” Huey stated proudly as Louie poked at a small stone statue of Scrooge. “Dewey check it out!” Louie said with a smile while pointing at the statue.
“Yeah, whatever.” I said before walking off.
Okay, I did feel a little bad doing that but Uncle Scrooge’s words just kept coming back and making me angry and a little sad too. Why does he dislike us so much?
I heard Webby explain something to Huey as I wandered around the wing, looking at all the things Uncle Scrooge collected. All the things he was so busy getting, he didn’t even take time to tell us we’re related to him! I clenched my fists. I felt like punching something!
“Hi.” I heard from above. I immediately relaxed as soon as I heard the voice. Webby jumped off an enormous crate, did a flip in mid-air, and landed safely on her feet. She stood up straight and tilted her head to the side, looking worried. “Are you alright, Dewey?”
For a second, I didn’t answer because I was in awe of her. How on earth did I get someone this amazing as my soulmate?! I cleared my throat. “Yeah, I’m okay. I just...” I paused unsure of whether to tell her.
———————-
(Okay, I’ve gotta make a third part cuz I’m like only a part of the way through the story. I’m basically just following the script of the first episode lol. @cartoonlover233 here’s the second part! I’ll be working on the third part and it’ll probably be coming out soon! Oh and I’d like to thank @thatssweetnessdream for making the fan art of Debbigail that helped me get unstuck on this second part! :3)

How To Save A Life
Dewey’s eyes fluttered open, seeing a white ceiling, he raised his hand, wincing, seeing the needles in him. He was back in the hospital...once again. He turned to see his family in tears, “Dewey!” They cheered.
“You’re-you’re awake!” Beakley whispered.
“What happened.” Dewey groaned, rubbing his head.
“You and Webby-“
“Webby! Where is she?! Is she ok?!” He panicked, not seeing her in the room.
....They went silent...looking around at each other nervously, their eyes blood shot red with bags, Beakley looking worse then all of them.
Dewey frowned, “G-guys?”
“She...she didn’t make it, Dew...”
“What?! No! What do you mean?! She has to be ok! She’s-this is a joke! You’re joking! She’s just behind that door!”
Donald rested his hand on Dewey’s shoulder, “Dewey...”
“Where is she!?” Dewey’s voice cracked in anger, heart acking against his chest. He tried sitting up in his bed.
“Dewey! You can’t get up, you have to stay in bed!” Louie cried, covering his beak, Huey rubbed Louie’s shoulder, holding him close.
Ignoring them, Dewey pushed off the bed, falling to the floor, wincing in pain. Tears streaked his cheeks, but he pushed past the pain, following the burning sensation in his heart. He needed to see her! He had to see her! The very least say-NO! She’s ok! She has to be!
He got up, leaning against the wall, shuffling to the door to the others annoyance.
“Dewey no!”
“You have to stay in bed you could-“
“Dewey!”
They tried calling him back in the room, not wanting to risk hurting him, he kept limping, grunting along the walls.
Sweat and tears, he even tasted dry blood in his mouth. The nurses spotted him limping against the wall. They hurried to grab him by the arms gently.
“Sir-“
“Take me to her!” He commanded, they froze, looking at each other. “Please!” He begged, croaking, knees wanting to buckle, but he forced himself to stay up.
They nodded sadly, helping him to her room.
Once they opened the door, he collapsed out of their grips, they gasped. He stumbled back to his feet.
The family caught up, standing behind them in the doorway, shaking.
He leaned over the bed railing, heart pounding, he brushed a stray hair out of her dull paler then usually, face.
“Webby...” He croaked.
He couldn’t believe it, he didn’t want to. She...she was gone...he didn’t get to tell her that he loved her! He didn’t get to enjoy her laugh one more time. He didn’t get to feel her touch one more time. He didn’t get to see her smile, her eyes one more time. Her call his name. Her cheery voice. He wouldn’t be able to hold her, comfort her when she’s down. Who would he do adventurs with anymore?! Who would do crazy things anymore with him?! How would be his other half?! This world will never be the same without her! She was gone...
He fell to his knees, gripping her limp hand gently, it was cold in his warm grasp. “I didn’t even get to say goodbye...”
(So I got this idea from @sophfandoms53 oneshot , so this is basically like a “What If” and I’m EXTREMELY sorry!!! WHY?! WHY DID I DO THIS?!)

It's the quiet moments they appreciate the most.
Webby doesn't complain. She'll definitely die a grisly death by a thousand knives, maybe with a volcanic eruption to scorch her holey remains if she's lucky. It's been her childhood dream since she was seven years old.
She won't deny the excitement tingling in her spine whenever she imagines the scene.
But…with every treasure discovered, every villain defeated, and every avalanche barely they've escaped by the skin of their teeth, Webby appreciates the quiet.
It's like when they're lying underneath a starry lit sky, sharing the same sleeping bag. All is silent except for the crickets' chorus, and the air is stiffly cool, which is why sharing a sleeping bag makes sense. He's warm, quiet, and holds her close. His even breaths tickle her forehead. His heartbeat dances to that repetitive thump-thump-thump, and yeah, maybe a coyote or wolf howls to the rising moon. But that's okay.
Sometimes it's different.
After a mission that has gone not quite right, there’s quiet. He makes one bad move, and there's a knife sticking in his stomach.
This is the time to panic. She should panic, but a stronger hold tells her this is the worst thing she can do. She tears her sweater and shouts at him to press down without removing the knife. She carries him to the jeep, and she’ll drive him to the hospital.
He's lightweight to her. Blood seeps through his fabric and lands on her. His reassuring boasts fail to declaw her scratchy fear, and each attempt ends with him a grimace.
Webby is hot peppered. She screams red and tears through their enemy’s arm. She is thinking. She thinks of breaking their arm, and she does.
He took a knife in the stomach for her.
Who does he think she is? She doesn’t have magical blonde hair.
It’s quiet in the hospital.
It’s smells nice though, like lavender and posies. She doesn’t call the family. She doesn’t call Lena. He stirs awake and cracks a feeble smile.
She leans over him and grasps his hand. Under clammy, cold skin swims life, and she can’t stop smiling, can’t stop crying when he’s lying there alive and breathing. He gazes as his grip tightens, and doesn’t he realize how gentle he is?
It oh so quiet.
They rejoice in it.

What do you fell about Debbigail?
So, when the show first aired, I wasn’t crazy about it, I didn’t see ‘boy protagonist’ and ‘girl protagonist’, and went like:
Tumblr media
Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t until S1E10, The Spear of Selene, where I first put Dewey and Webby together in a romantic light. For those of you who need a brief recap, Dewey and Webby are investigating Della’s disappearance, and purposely crash landed the plane in Greece, because of a note they found in a previous episode involving the name, “Selene”. Webby figured it was the goddess, so Dewey and Webby go on this crazy, thrilling adventure to find her. Throughout the episode, however, Dewey puts Della on a pedestal: he firmly believes that Della was a hero, who left for the sake of the family’s well being. But interestingly enough, Webby on the other hand, has been telling Dewey that there was still a very real possibility that Della might’ve left for a reason he might not like.
This conflict between the two ends up getting so bad, that it initiates a physical fight between the two. Outside of Selene’s garden, Dewey’s so hellbent on the fact that Della was a good person, he’s able to fend himself against Webby: you know, the girl who’s been trained by a secret agent her whole life?
And once Webby is finally able to subdue Dewey, and demand why he won’t let them find out the truth, this happened:
“What if my Mom was a bad person?”
Up until this point, I personally think the only things we know about Webby is that she can kick ass if she needs to, and that she’s obsessed with solving McDuck mysteries (don’t cancel me, @randomduckydoodles pls). And I mean obsessed. The fact that her friend, even though he has just physically scuffled with her, is telling her he doesn’t want to solve this mystery, she stops right there and then. She respected that.
This is where my ship for them started to blossom. This is where I was like, “Okay, they’re not just a boy/girl pairing anymore, now I can actually make something out of this.” Interestingly enough, this was also my mindset for Starco, the ship between Marco/Star in SVTFOE.
So yeah :)

I think what I like about debbigail is not so much the Romance of it all, the Lingering Gazes or the Drama but more so how much Joy they bring each other and how well they mirror each other and play off each other
Maybe it’s a personification of my own romantic tendencies but I can’t fathom this relationship to be anything more than best friends who absolutely adore each other
I mean even from episode 1 when webby was introduced to the triplets - Dewey was the first one to reach out in kindness to her, and they are so In Sync and work off each other so well that I just think of them as a Unit and I feel like relationships aren’t so much of fighting and (cw) sex and drama but more so just spending your life hanging out with your best friend in the world, the person who loves you the most and now I’m so sentimental because that love is so PURE
Maybe I’m just an old sap but that to me is just complete fulfillment right there

Do you think we can convince the Ducktales team to make Debbigail real? I know they don't do that because the show is about family, but I NEED Debbigail to be real 😑
For the love of everything, please no one ever ask me this again.
I’m legit dealing with this same thing on Instagram and holy crap talk about thick headed.
You actually answered your own question by the way.
The show is about family, so, NO.
Do NOT go to anybody from the crew asking about any ship to be canon. It is an insult to their work and the whole theme of the show.
There is 0 need for the ship to be canon. Webby and Dewey’s chaotic twin dynamic is absolutely adorable and fun as it is.
You don’t NEED it to be canon. You WANT it to be canon.
If you cannot accept the reality that a fucking ship won’t be canon, I urge you to reevaluate some things because there are real problems in the world and your cartoon ship not being canon is the least of everyone’s worries.
Please, get a life, it’s a cartoon ship, it’s not that big a deal.
Apologies if this is harsh but I’m so tired of this nonsense. If you would like to discuss this further, bring it to my dm’s.

Such a cheesy rant :/
(CHEEZY ALERT)  {Im being serious tho}
I cannot express how much this show changed my life
Trust me
I was never this optimistic
I was always a quiet 13 year old (im 14 now but before)
Who always hid from others
I only openly talked to my best best BEST friends
About ducktales and Svtfoe
Kids in my class always teased me for loving Ducktales (along with Debbigail)
I didn’t think ANY show would beat my UnBEaRAbLe Love for ducktales
Until May 19th..
When this show entered my life
Everything changed
These Characters (Mostly Kevin and Shope NO SHIPPING INVOLVED) Taught me to be Optimistic
To show my love for anything to others
To ignore those hateful insults
Lastly
To be Myself
Might sound crazy and so cheesy heh
But i wouldn’t be Gym without this show (and Ducktales)
I gotta give credit to Debbigail for giving me a chance to learn tumblr!!
Im more confident writing fanfics thanks to Shovin
And now those same kids in my class insult me for loving Supernoobs XD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In conclusion
A show can change anyone’s life in a second
In my case
This show is Supernoobs
Holiday Episode Outline
Happy Halloween! This was for a spec script I wrote last October. Not sure if I’ll post the entire screenplay, but at least you can have a general idea. This takes place in S2 before the return of Della or introduction of Violet.
Dewey
Wants to find perfect costume for Halloween
Finds and takes magical costume from Glomgold’s place
Risks life to save costume, unintentionally putting others in danger
Makes bet, puts on costume to suppress primal urges of ambition
With help of costume, he completely changes personality
Plan backfires, costume is cursed and slowly corrupts him
Evil Dewey teams up with Glomgold, lures family into trap
When he loses costume, he becomes weak and normal
Embraces flaws - uses his daring side, Huey’s smarts, and Louie's manipulation to trick Glomgold
Louie
Wants to pull off perfect prank for Halloween (has a bucket of tricks)
Attempts to TP Glomgold’s house- backfires
Pulls prank on Webby
Thinks someone’s out to kill him
Wears garlic necklaces, stakes, holy water to chase away spirits
Turns out whole thing’s a prank by Webby lol
Webby
Every past year, Webby was asked to scare away trick or treaters before triplets arrived
Louie says she’ll never be able to scare him - Ooh, Louie, you’re in for it now
Warns Dewey about the “Halloween curse” - no one listens
Is the only one that knows Dewey has the cursed costume but doesn’t say anything because Dewey begs her not to (SO MUCH DEBBIGAIL!!!)
Tells Louie if he upsets the spirits on Halloween night by taking their job, they’ll be mad
Admits it’s a prank to prove she can scare him - succeeds (Louebby ftw!) jk
Glomgold
Loves Halloween! He can torture kids - sets up traps around his house for trick or treaters
Lures triplets to house with note
sets up costume with hopes, they’ll take it - They do!
-Teams up with Dewey (corrupted)
-Traps Scrooge and family
-Steals costume and stupidly puts it on - hilarious twist: the costume takes away your greatest desires, right? Well, it stops his desire to get revenge on Scrooge- and he lets him go!
Huey
Halloween is a frivolous holiday. But it’s fun
Has chart of the increased stock of candy gathered every year - Oh, Huey... XD
Accuses Dewey of being reckless (this goes serious)
makes bet with him he can’t go entire day without “deweying” something
Warns Louie he’s taking trick too far - voice of reason
hates haunted houses (semi-joke)
That’s it. Don’t have much for him in this ep. Poor Huey
No Scrooge. Why? Because I’m lazy ROFL
.........
Oh, and Beakley sucks!
Will this blog ever be back 🥺
A/N: Hey there! First of all I would like to say thanks to everyone who has followed and sent in asks/prompts over the months, I really, really appreciate it and all of the love you guys clearly have for this blog.
And I have actually been thinking about reviving this blog as of late, but I am kinda torn about it for a few reasons. The main reason I stopped updating was because after the huge Ducktales “block list” fiasco a year or so ago. I felt like the fandom had kinda gone to shit and it made it really, really hard for me to want to be a part of it and I actually stopped watching the show all together for a while as a result. I had seen a lot of really nice loubby and debbigail shippers get treated like shit and lots of blogs I thought were cool were coming forward saying awful stuff about how those shippers can go die and unfollow and such and I just couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve been in enough fandom wars that at this point any ship hate, no matter how “justified”, makes me super uncomfortable and overnight the whole Ducktales fandom was seeped with it and I had to leave.
I’m back into the show and fandom now, but things haven’t exactly been better. My main is @lastoneout and I was the person running Delpad Week and all of the hate and attacks we faced lead to legit tears and panic attacks that ruled my life for the month leading up to the event, and I worried(and still worry) that any of the people who hated on the HDLxWebby shippers and/or Delpad were following this blog and I wasn’t interested in making content that they would enjoy or consume, so I just figured it wasn’t worth it to resurrect this blog because they might be following(which was the same reason I stayed out of the fandom, I had no idea who was safe) I am also worried that by coming forward like this I will tank my follower base and no one will be interested in me reopening this blog anyway, so there’s that.
I cannot say for sure if I’m gonna come back. I want to, but on top of fandom drama I have had a lot of health problems in my life and it’s kinda hard to balance art, doctor’s appointments, my conditions, and everything else I have to do as an adult. If I do come back the updates wouldn’t be super high quality and there wouldn’t be as many of them, but I dunno, if this post doesn’t result in loads of hate and people are still interested in seeing me revive this blog I might do it. I miss the Ducktales fandom and I miss my lovely boy Donald, so yeah, let me know if you guys are still there and if you want more content! I’ll be keeping an eye out and I’ll make sure to let everyone know if I decide to come back.
Thanks
His and Hers - Debbigail
(Oof this is a lil bit late but I suppose it’s better late than never. I heard it was Ninja’s birthday and so I literally threw this together at the last second, anyways enjoy!! :3 Dewey and Webby are probably both around 16 or 17 in this btw)
———————
Dewey raced through the mansion’s hallways and staircases, going as fast as his legs could carry him and almost knocking over several vases in the process.
Dewey just took the quickest right turn in his life down the next hallway before he slammed into Huey.
“Ow! Hey!” Dewey said as his back hit the floor. Dewey rubbed the back of his head a little bit. ‘That’s gonna be sore tomorrow,’ the blue clad duck thought.
“Hey yourself,” Huey retorted with a noise of pain after having been hit to the floor as well. “What are you doing in such a hurry anyways?” Huey asked as he stood up.
Dewey, noticing he was still sitting on the floor, quickly stood to his feet, readjusting his shirt and hair for a quick second.
“Actually, Webby just called me and told me she has a surprise for me. Er, well, she said for us, but she already knows what it is so it’s technically only a surprise for me.” Dewey said, rambling on a little bit as he started thinking about what she could’ve gotten for them.
Webby and Dewey had been dating for a few months now and not to mention they had been inseparable best friends before that so Dewey knew that Webby knew him well. She just had to have gotten something really awesome.
Huey nodded in response to Dewey’s mini-ramble. “I see, well I hope the present is as good as you think it’s going to be.” Huey said as he picked up the book that had been thrown against a wall in the crash.
“Thanks,” Dewey sad, brushing off his shirt one more time. “What is that book by the way? Just outta curiosity?” Dewey asked, tilting his head.
Huey dusted off the book, mumbling angrily about how some of the pages got creased before he realized Dewey spoke again. “Oh, it’s my old Junior Woodchuck Guidebook notes.”
Dewey blinked at Huey. He knew he shouldn’t have been surprised but he was.
“But you’re a Senior Woodchuck now. You don’t need to study your old notes.” Dewey said with an apparently confused expression.
Huey raised an eyebrow at Dewey. “I’m not studying them, I’m just rereading them. For fun? You know?” Huey replied.
Dewey blinked again. He did not know. “That makes no sense Huey. Why would you reread notes unless you had to-? You know what? I got to go but you have fun with your kinda boring note reread. Bye Huey!” Dewey tried to talk some sense into his older brother but then he figured that would take too long.
Besides, he couldn’t leave Webby waiting.
Huey sighed as Dewey left, shaking his head at Dewey’s confusion.
Note rereading was a fun and normal thing for most people too, right?
Dewey charged through the hallways again, going even faster than he did before to make up for lost time. He cut through one of the many dining rooms that were in the mansion and he slid across one table only to hear several crashes behind him.
He paused just long enough to wince and shout “Sorry!” before he was back on track toward Webby.
Webby had said to meet her in the main kitchen. Dewey wondered what on earth she could’ve bought. He hoped it was something he would like but he also knew that Webby had gotten him something just because she loved him, so Dewey figured even if he didn’t like it very much, it was still from Webby.
That’s what was important.
But he still held out hope for a cool present though.
‘Maybe she got me a pet tiger,’ He thought jokingly, which made him smile a little. ‘Or maybe she got me one of those grappling hooks like she has. That would be AWESOME!!!’
Dewey’s mind kept wondering what she could’ve gotten him but those thoughts stopped when he stopped in front of the kitchen door.
Suddenly he felt very worried. ‘What if she didn’t get me something I liked? What if it shows that I didn’t like it? Would she be upset if I didn’t like it?? What if it completely ruins everything?!?!’
Dewey shook his head, clearing those thoughts away. He scolded himself, him not liking one present would not ruin everything. Besides, Webby knows him. He told himself it was going to turn out okay and he took a deep breath and stepped inside the kitchen.
Sunlight poured in through the window above the sink and one of the cabinet doors had been left open and Dewey chuckled.
Webby had a horrible habit of forgetting to close the cabinet doors after she got what she needed so he strode over to the cabinet and closed it back.
He turned around only to tackled in a famous Webby hug.
“YOU’RE HERE!!!” Webby yelled, planting a kiss on Dewey’s cheek before hugging him again, then finally setting him free.
Dewey smiled. “Yep! I’m here! I’m dying to know what the present is by the way.”
Webby smiled back a little sheepishly. “Well, you see, that’s the thing...” Webby trailed off, and Dewey looked confused.
“I just... I don’t know if you’ll like it. I mean I-I hope you will... but.. but I don’t know.” Webby said, sounding pretty worried. She kicked her foot as the floor a little bit, not meeting his eyes.
Dewey simply smiled a little bit. “Hey, if I don’t like the present, I’ll still love you if that’s what you’re worried about.” He jokes with a wink. He did mean that though. He would still love Webby no matter what. Dewey gave her a quick hug.
“Alright well..” Webby said as she pulled out of the hug and turned to the table where there were two long things on the table that had been wrapped in brown paper. She picked one up in each hand and held one out to Dewey. “Here you go. I hope you like it.”
Dewey took it in his hands. It felt pretty heavy but he could lift it with one hand if he tried. Dewey tore off some of the brown paper to see a dark blue handle sticking out of a slightly lighter blue sheath.
Dewey stared at it for a second before he gasped dramatically, understanding just what she had gotten him.
He looked back up to see Webby nervously twirling her hair. He gaped at her. “You got me a sword.”
Webby shuffled and laughed nervously. “Actually,” she paused to tear off the brown paper off of her sword, revealing a sheath that was cherry blossom pink. “I got us matching swords. Do you like it?”
Dewey unsheathed his sword and held it out in front of him. He grinned, feeling giddy, as he looked at Webby and said, “I. Love. It.”
Dewey jumped towards one of the chairs in the kitchen, slicing the sword toward one of it’s legs. He did his best not to hit it, since this was just some test swings.
The sword felt AMAZING! It was heavy but the sturdy kind of heavy, and the handle was blue and he thought it was maybe a broadsword? He didn’t know that but what he did know was that THIS SWORD WAS THE MOST COOLEST THING IN THE WORLD!!!
Dewey set the sword down on the table after finishing his fake assault on the chair. Webby had been watching him “attack” the chair with barely contained laughter.
“You looked like a dork doing that.” She joked as Dewey hugged her.
“You are the perfect girl and I love you.” Dewey said with a massive grin still on his face. He didn’t think it’d ever come off though. Not as long as Webby was here with him.
Webby giggled. “I know. Both of those things, I knew already. But thanks.” She smiled and Dewey leaned forward to give her a proper kiss but stopped short when he heard a crash right behind him.
If he were being on honest here, he was very startled by that and Webby had to set him back down.
“Huh. I guess you did hit that chair.” Webby stated, looking at the broken remains of the chair on the floor.
“I guess so.” Dewey said with a wince as he kicked a chair leg away from him.
“Wanna run around the mansion and see what else we can slice to bits?” Webby asked with a playful and sweet smile.
Dewey smiled back, trying not to melt. He loved that smile. He loved her. “You are perfection.”
Webby laughed as she unsheathed her sword. “I’m gonna take that as a yes.” She said before rushing out of the kitchen with a battle cry and Dewey right behind her, ready to cause mayhem.
Oh, my dear, I feel so honored.
I know very well how difficult it's when parents divorce. Sometimes it's more difficult than others but it all hurt at some point. I'm glad to have indirectly helped someone with that without knowing it and giving him a joy to make that situation a little more bearable. I didn't have that but I'm glad to give someone what I would have liked to have and if with my art I make a one person happy, it's enough for me.
I'm very glad that you like my art and that you have learned to draw ducks thanks to my trashturorials (? Keep drawing, you'll go far ❤❤❤
