I also can't honestly understand rooting for the royals to die not a in "don't wish death on people ever" kind of way but just in the sense that it means nothing, the monarchy is by design self sustaining, like king Charles dies, William takes over, enforced mourning, big expensive funeral, big expensive coronation like woop de doo this is such a non event, if anything its actively detrimental to the average person when a royal dies.

you realize that grief is perhaps the last and final translation of love. this is the last act of loving someone. it will never end. you get to do this, to translate this last act of love for the rest of your life.

One Dress a Day Challenge
November: Grey Redux
The White Queen (episode 6, "Love and Death") / Rebecca Ferguson as Elizabeth Woodville
I like both halves of this dress separately, but I have a problem with putting them together. The top and skirt just look like they came from two different costumes that were stitched to each other willy-nilly. I wonder if the grey velvet from the top was too expensive to buy enough for a skirt, or maybe there wasn't enough of it.
In any case, the costumers seem to have been pretty pleased with the dress, as they used it for quite a few publicity photos. At least the silhouette is broadly period-accurate for the late 15th century.
