I'm not the biggest fan of lawlight, but this au is the funniest fucking thing. The image of Light's skinny ass beating L to death while the task force watches on in abject horror has me cackling like a deranged lunatic.

Lawlight timeloop au where it resets whenever either of them die so it’s just a competition to kill each other before the other can. Like they both gave up on their goals they’re just having fun trying to kill each other. Like at one point Light just beats L to death in front of the task force

Imagine if you locked Light and Patrick Bateman in a room together. They would be having the most generic conversation but you wouldn’t be able to hear it over the sound of their overlapping internal monologues. The rule is this: no powers. Yugi’s cards have no special powers, and Light has the Death Note, but it doesn’t do anything. So they can hit each other with their objects, but Yugi can’t just blow everything up with Exodia, and Light can’t just write his name.

Alternatively, Light just doesn’t have any writing materials.

i like to think that Beyond Birthday's extremely exaggerated imitation of L's habits was actually completely accurate to how L acted in the past, and BB was just basing his act off of a younger, more unhinged L, which was lost when L got older or something.
