Ok hear me out here
Starwars battlefront BUT it’s 40K
Im talking all the races Human, ork, aldari you name it. Instead of playing death Vader or luke skywalker you get to be an ogryn, or a tau battle mech.
There would be no space marines except for maybe being a power up like playing a special character, Maybe add the gene stealers with tyranid characters

Theirs something brought to my attention about Helldivers that I don’t think many thought of but the Warhammer Fans pulled through again with the comparisons. For a bit of back story let me explain to you the most valuable Cannon Fodder that exists within Warhammer 40k. Everyone thinks of Space Marines when they think of Warhammer but they’re actually rare on a battlefield with most wars being preformed by their normal army, typically known as The Imperial Guard. Within the Guard is a Corp (or as they call themselves the Korps) Called the Death Korps of Krieg, or Kriegsman for Short. Long backstory made short they’re a group of Loyalistic Fanatics that were in Civil war for so long the planet turned into a nuclear wasteland and resorted to nothing but Trench Warfare. The winners surprised the Imperium by not only returning to the Imperium but already having a large contingent of Soldiers ready to enlist in the Imperial Army. Keep in mind that the Empire wrote them off as dead centuries ago and just abandoned the planet.
The Kriegsman are notable for the fact they do not fear death and instead embrace Death. They’ve been raised since birth to treat their own lives as expendable just to win a Centuries Long Civil War and that every death was worth it for just a few inches of land. Whenever a War Front gets too perilous and turns into a Meat Grinder the Empire says “Send in the Kriegsman” they’re thrown into hellish fights almost exclusively because they’re borderline suicidal and will do anything to complete a mission even if it means climbing on the bodies of their fallen comrades.
Helldivers are Kriegsman. They consist of the most Fanatic Among enlisted soldiers. Helldivers aren’t thrown in to win wars. In fact you’re not expected to survive your mission. Your thrown deep into enemy lines with no other support but your Fellow Helldivers, you Sabotage, Distract, Destroy Points of Interest and evacuate priority targets. Even if you die it’ll be considered a successful mission if you complete your goals. You’re Cannon Fodder given the illusion of being the best Super Earth has. You’re just there to jam the gears while the real fight takes down the enemy forces. You surviving is just a happy accident and you get to be more experienced Cannon Fodder for the next fight.

Also I remember when Death Corps of Krieg was just like “someone at Forge World wanted to mass produce their concept for how Armageddon Steel Legion soldiers should look but they’re not gonna change Armageddon soldiers so they just made a new regiment that also wears gas masks but wears dark instead of tan trench coats” but now they’re like “Clone Troopers but Grim Dark as fuck” like I’m pretty sure I read something that showed those “vitae wombs” they use to mass produce soldiers aren’t actually cloning vats they’re more akin to like, human factory farms and newborns just get plopped onto a conveyor belt so QC can examine for defects which is why the Adeptus Mechanicus of all things has an ethical objection to the technology not a weird-superstitious objection but the people that lobotomize people to produce ethical-AI robots think Krieg is really fucked up and shouldn’t be treating humans this way
Like that’s 40k as fuck 40k is all about “hey you know that one well known Sci-Fi thing? Here’s what it would look like it if it was made Bleak and Nihilistic in the most over the top way”

Crew Ranks 3
Master-At-Arms: 3216-Keled
Once a member of the Death Corpes of Krieg, he was abandoned on a world that was seen as unnecessary and left to die at the hands of Orks. Samuel and his crew had rescued him and later made him his Man-At-Arms. His lifetime of training has made him able to stay focused while under fire and lead men to do the same. He doesn't exactly have a sense of humor, and when he isn't on duty, he can he pretty distant. But he is willing to give his life for the crew and nearly has ten times over. He had lost his vat brothers long ago, and despite that being what they were made for, he finds himself not wanting to lose anyone else.
Master Helmsman: Victoria Stern
Her father served as Helmsman back when Samuel's father was Captain. She has been on a ship all her life. It's all she knows and it's all she cares to know. She has learned how to helm a ship ever since she was a little girl and she is damn good at it. Anyone who says other wise can take it up with her sword, as she has a short temper, and cares little for nonesense.
Master of Ordnance: Alexei Vladimir
Best shot on the ship, he served with Samuel's father, and his father before him. He knows every gun on the ship top to bottom, and he never misses. He often has stories to tell if you buy him a drink or two. He gets serious during the job, but when off duty, he has a smile as he tells his tales, looking back on all the good times. But behind that lays a sadness, for friends long lost.
Master of Etherics: Stavros Gronmar
When many on the crew think of Stavros, they don't exactly think much of him. Not in a negative way. But more in a literal way. He is quiet, reserved, and keeps to himself. The only time he speaks up is when on the job keeping the ship from going blind. He usually spends his free time reading when doing nothing else.
Chief Chirurgeon: Katrolivon Veltrak
As mad as a psyker plagued with voices, the Magos Biologis Veltrek loves to experiment. Oftentimes, he has to be told to take it down a peg, much to his disappointment. In his opinion, healing just isn't as rewarding as hurting. He just wants to unearth the ways of improving upon the weak flesh. Samuel has thought about replacing him. But he is the best damn Medicae on the ship.
Master of Whispers: Elam Chowl
He has eyes and ears all over the ship. He makes sure there is nowhere slhe can't see or hear. He takes his job seriously, and has dedicated hid life to it in the god emperor's name. Vowing to strike down any cancer that seeks to poison the ship with descent.
Choir-Master Telepathica: Elotynn von Myr
Calm and reserved, she keeps her mind clear at all times when she searches the mental void for communication to receive. She often meditates when not leading her fellow Astropathes in their choir songs. She believes that her mind must remain on guard at all times, lest she falls to darkness within the warp.
Warp Guide: Fiora Zuhepiac
Flora acts as a second mother to Samuel at times. She is kind and caring, fitting for one who's duty is to guide others to safety through the warp. She spends most of her time knitting and sewing when she is not needed. As well as seeing what other ways she can help. No matter how small.

You can replace Skitarii with the Death Corps of Krieg and it's still 100% true
GW designers made interesting decisions imo Ah yes, skitarii - supersoldiers without fear or excess emotions, perfectly obedient murder machines. Lets give them the biggest saddest wettest eyes in existence, adorable little coats and childish backpacks. Our fiercest warriors. Killing enemies by cuteness overload lmao NOT complaining. It makes 40k better.

I'm trying to look for hope. And oddly enough, it came from a clip on YouTube. A speech from a Warhammer story about the Death Corps of Krieg.

If you pull the gas mask off of a Krieg soldier, you’ll find another, slightly smaller gas mask underneath. This will keep going like a WWII-themed matryoshka doll until you discover that the Death Corps don’t, in fact, have heads, but teeny tiny little shovels poking out of their neck holes that pilot the soldier bodies to dig ever more impressive trenches for their shovel overlords
