Wondering if Rio is gnashing her teeth because of that, or if it was yet another exception she made... or if it's a bit of both.

Nicky was always meant to be stillborn. He was never supposed to live after birth, but Rio gave Agatha more time with him, and in turn he got more time with Agatha.

Whether it was implied or not, he was always the son of Death. He was always supposed to go home to his other mother. When Death finally beckoned him home that night, Rio wouldn’t allow him to join her until he kissed Agatha’s cheek. And he knew, instantaneously, to kiss Agatha not once, but twice.

Once from him, and once from Rio.

Though he was always meant to join Death at her side, Rio gave Agatha the chance to be his mother, too, and now I am a mess about it and will be thinking about this for a long time.

I wonder if Agatha’s and Rio meet when Agatha was almost executed by her coven. If rio found a trembling girl who had just killed her mother, who was hated by everyone because of something she couldn’t help, for a powers that was bigger than herself and was cursed to destroy everything she loved and death saw herself, she saw being hated by everyone, she saw herself longing for connection but being brutally rejected because of the natural order of things, because she has a job she HAS to do. An the two witches found solace in each other because by that day forward they were bound and rio knows she will always see Agatha because Agatha kills witches for power and Rio will be there to collect the bodies or if Agatha killed witches to see Rio but after Nicholas, then it because a problem because Agatha DID not want to see Rio because it would mean a chance of Rio taking her boy.

Im just rambling I’m delusional about this lesbians 😭
