-sweetheart isn’t particularly known for taking care of themselves and whenever they complain about any health issue they’re having, david is quick to point that out (sweetheart: “my stomach hurts” david: “your stomach hurts because you don’t eat properly at the proper times or-“ sweetheart: “shut the actual fuck up david, I didn’t ask”)

-damien is such a shithead to everyone, even huxley and sometimes he forgets that huxley is shameless when talking back or “returning the energy” to people. damien will poke fun at him and act surprised when huxley starts attacking (tickling) him

-asher has a fear of needles but he got a tattoo in memory of gabe

-sam cried in darlin’s arms for hours after the inversion

-after the inversion, david flat out refused to let asher out of his sight until he was at home safe with his mate (drove him home when they couldn't pick him up, even when asher insisted he could drive himself home)

Polycule D.A.M.N Crew Headcanons

Was going through @polydamnory posts for the D.A.M.N polycule and it's inspired me to write down some of my own headcanons for these guys. Enjoy!

Dear and Damien are both the chefs of the polycule, Dear is probably the most trusted person to cook in Damiens kitchen unsupervised.

Huxely likes giving extra hugs to his partners whenever they're stressed out about something but it's really just an excuse to pick them up and drag them away from their laptop/whatever they're working on so they can get some proper rest. Has done this on both Damien and Freelancer when they both desperately needed a break from cram studying especially if the usual pleads to take a break don't intially work.

Dear has magic hands where whenever they run their fingers through their partners hair, they all melt at their touch. They turn to pudding as soon as those head rubs happen. They've actually helped a lot with migraines that Freelancer and Damien have.

Gavin, Freelancer and Dear have competitions sometimes to see who can fluster Lasko up more in one day. They all think he's adorable when he's choking on his words and trying to come up with a coherent sentence after mercilessly being teased. So far Gavin and Dear are neck in neck with these challenges.

Speaking of Gavin and Dear, Dear I feel like is someone who doesn't get flustered often which Gavin sees as a personal challenge to fluster them up whenever he gets the chance. Dear finds Gavin very cute whenever he tries to and flirts right back with that same energy.

This is more of a personal headcanon but from tallest to shortest it's Huxely, Dear, Gavin, Damien, Freelancer, and Lasko.

Lasko manages to get everyone into DnD and the polycule tries their best to schedule at least one session a month depending on their own schedules. Lasko usually DMs but Dear also DMs so Lasko can have a chance to play too. Gavin and Freelancer both shamelessly flirt with the DM no matter who it is and whenever it's Lasko it usually throws him off for a good minute or so.

Lasko gets cold very easily so he usually goes to Damien for cuddles when he's feeling extra frosty. Damien doesn't mind and likes having Lasko in his lap while he works if it keeps him warm.

Following up with that headcanon, Damien gets Lasko a shit ton of warm clothes, blankets and socks so he can wear em around the house around fall and winter because of how easily Lasko gets cold.

Freelancer smacks all their partners asses equally and with accurate precision.

Huxely I feel like would be a really good gardener for vegetables and fruits, Dear helps him with growing them. Every few months when certain fruits are in season, they bring em back to share with the polycule and make desserts outta them. Dear makes some killer peach cobbler, apple pies, strawberry pastries etc outta them and there's usually nothing left by the end of the week.

Gavin likes to playfully push Damiens buttons. Right when Damien looks like he's about to blow, Gavin kisses him and it gets to Damien every time lol. Gavin finds it highly amusing.

Freelancer likes giving gentle love bites to all their partners, it's not sexual all the time but whenever they're cuddling one of em or hugging them they have specific spots they like to go for.

For example, Freelancer likes giving love bites on Huxelys and Dears chests. For Damien it's his arms and chests if he's the bigger spoon while cuddling. For Gavin and Lasko it's their necks or arms, whichever is more accessible at the moment.

Dear most of the time is really good at hiding their emotions whenever they're stressed about something or just feeling sad in general but Huxely can pick up the signs pretty quickly. When it comes to his partners he's very observant and can tell when somethings off with any one of them and that includes Dear. Cuddling sometimes turns into a good cry sesh depending on how severe whatever is affecting Dear is.

Freelancer I headcanon as a little bit of a goofball and loves making their partners laugh, it's a wonderful feeling to see nearly all of the polycule wheezing and laughing at their stupid lil jokes and they take heavy pride in it.

Was relistening to Gavin's valentines audio and I'm once again struck by the thought that there is nothing stopping Gavin from being the DAMN fam's sugar demon.

He conjures (or transforms Frelancer's couch into) a new gaudy, comfortable couch. He can make food and food ingredients from magic.

What's stopping him from just "Oh hey, Freelancer, you mentioned that you've always wanted one of those switch things with Lasko. So here...no I didn't steal it, Deviant, I made it from magic. I made sure it has those games you two were babbling about and I can change the colors to whatever you want."

"Hey Lasko, Freelancer said your appliances break down a lot so I rifted to your apartment and upgraded them to the newest models from that one store we went to. If they break or somethings wrong, just let me know, I'll fix it."

Asher and Darlin' have a shared notes app filled with things that (lovingly) piss people off

If Sunshine has any family members or friends that passed away and sunshine started missing them again, Elliott will make them in a dreamscape so Sunshine can talk to them again

Freelancer has drawings Caelum drew up on the fridge so Damien, Hux, and Lasko always assumed it was a younger sibling or family member

You never see Vincent and Lovely apart. Like ever. He's always either hugging them from behind, holding their waist or their hand, etc. You have to specify if you invite them to an event because if one of them is going, the other is following

Lovely sees William as a father/parental figure almost as much as Vincent does

Dear is the favorite professor purely because they're so flexible and they genuinely care so much about their students. They have a bin full of snacks and a drawer full of water for students, and even a pillow if they realize a student is working themselves to exhaustion

Dear packs two lunches everyday because they know Lasko always forgets his

Similar to Vince and Lovely, Avior and Starlight are never seen apart. Avior is a very clingy demon

Hey there lovelies. Wow, it's been a busy few days. Pride month is off to a great start. I will probably be slow/behind the next few days as I've got some stuff going on at home. My girl Zoey, (my kitty) is 16 years old and diabetic, and she's lost a lot of weight recently, and she's been really sick, so I'm spending a lot of time taking care of her, sometimes late at night (and you all know I don't get a lot of sleep as it is). I don't wanna bum anyone out-- but today I wanted to talk about love. None of us know how long we have. We generally know pets have less time than ourselves, and sometimes unfortunately humans don't have the time we think they will. No matter who you love-- whether it's an animal, or a human, or a child, or a family member or a friend, I just want to send a reminder that the amount of time we have with them is not predictable. If you can, take that extra few minutes to hold them today. Take those few extra minutes to tell them you love them. Take the few extra minutes to call them up (if they have thumbs) and just tell them you're thinking of them. Love is one of the greatest and most powerful feelings in the world. It can move mountains for individuals, or groups. It can bring so many people together (like the love we have for ofmd) and it can make the biggest difference in millions of lives. Don't be afraid to love crew. Sometimes pain comes with loving something, and I know you've had enough of that in your life, but the love is worth it in the long run. Give love to your fur/scale kids, give love to your human children, give love to your friends, and give love to your family, and most of all, give love freely to yourself. Of all the things in this world that we may regret, love and the enjoying of it in all of it's many forms will almost always be worth it. And if it's not-- you can move that love to someone / something more deserving of your gift.

Anyway crew, just remember I love you, and I know so many crew members do too. Remember to love yourself and give love where you can (and don't beat yourself up if you can't). Hope you have a good rest of the week-- it's Hump Day! Half way there!

here's my personal headcanons of redacted characters that i personally project onto! some i wrote specifically for pride month and others are just more specific one's :3

all of the damn crew is trans and in a poly relationship (even if not canon i've always seen them all together in someway whether it's romantic, sexual, or queerplatonic)! they all take t shots together and comfort each other through dysphoria

damien and hux are transmasc, lasko, dear, & fl are non-binary, and gavin is genderfluid or maybe genderqueer

(all characters are queer/bi/pan to some degree that's just canon logically since all audios are mfa)

guy is def transmasc and wears honey's hoodie because it secretly helps him with dysphoria (and also to be a menace because it's a win-win situation either way)

all the wolf boys are transmasc

i feel like vincent might be nonbinary or gender non-conforming regardless he just wears whatever he finds stylish

all other demons/daemons are agender

baby helps ollie with his t shots (ollie said his love language is physical touch so i think doing it together is def intimate and comforting for him)

in elliot's dreamscape, he helps sunshine with their insecurities but encourages them not to change their body because they look perfect in reality

personal/projected headcanons

hux, gavin, anton, & sam are all black because i said so ☝🏾

i see headcanons everywhere that lasko or damien is korean and it's true because like.....that ain't no yt boy.....

asher is a lightskin with freckles HELPPPPP

milo and david are brownskin methinks all them wolves got melanin let's be fr...

anton loves talking to love on the phone because he loves the sound of their voice, regardless if he misses them or not

blake has bpd most definitely (takes one to know one......)

huxley loves being the little spoon and damien loves being the big spoon (they always switch cuddling positions in the middle of the night but don't mention doing it outright before bed for months)

huxley plants fruits, veggies, and flowers for damien so they can cook them together

damien is a good cook he definitely made lots of homemade meals with his mom

lasko secretly loves horror movies even if he gets scared watching them (both him and dear get scared and use it as an excuse to get closer to each other on the couch or in bed)

if lasko was a rolling backpack kid i feel like he was def a mouth breather as a kid (HELPPP this is a joke sorry)

Okay okay so yeah I made that in one day because I was feeling silly after relistening to the inversion and wondered "Hey, what was Dear doing while this wack shit was happening?" And boom this happened!

To make a long yapping session short: Dear had a little brother that went to the Games to support a friend who was competing, Dear on the other hand had to stay home to finish up his students exams. Dear was the last person to know about the inversion, only finding out hours after the ward came down. He was called to verify the body of his little brother. His little brother stumbled across Kody after being injured by a Shade, he begged for help but was only yelled at and attacked by Kody. He crawled away from Kody, only to be finished off minutes later by Shades feasting on his life force.

Dear doesn't know Kody was the cause of his death, but he had a sinking feeling ever since that day. He wonders why he feels sick every time he walks past him.

(Tldr: I used Damien's angst as foreshadowing for an off screen death of the little brother of Dear, also we hate Kody here-)

Damien is ofc in charge of cooking and is just in charge in general.

Lasko and Huxley are in charge of prepping.

Freelancer plates the food and serves it.

Gavin is in time out after "ACCIDENTALLY" throwing the food out NUMEROUS TIMES.

When he gets his act together he plates the food.

Damien is popping vessels at Freelancer choosing to help cook instead of plating because "I can do it myself you just worry about getting the orders in!"

Gavin is a troll and sometimes throws the ingredients out on purpose.

Lasko and Huxley are trying to calm everyone down because yes it does in fact get that serious.

Dear walks in and is like wtf.

They are appointed to chef.

Freelancer is offended.

They argue about it.

Nothing changes.

They try to go to a new area and it says "you need 1 more star" and Damien is aggressively like : WHERE?

If they miss one star, they will get a five minute rant from Damien.

To quote that one video I saw on instagram:

Damien fr: We can't keep fucking up these orders.

The rest of the crew refer to Damien and Dear as Chef. Damien and Dear take it very seriously.

Tables have been broken, things have been lit on fire. But other than that it is very fun! :D

First Person POV

With heavy breath and an aching body I had finally reached civilization. While I had passed many places on the way this was the farthest I could go.

         "This will do." Mustering up my final ounces of energy I ran into an abandoned building nearby for shelter.

Admittedly this place seemed to have a lot of abandoned buildings and suspicious characters running about. What a strange place. Granted I've been secluded my entire life aside from the servants, my brother, and my mother, of course.

A glow from the corner of the building broke me out of my reminiscing. A phone. Naturally it was locked but what I needed most was the time displayed on the lock screen.

12:00 a.m.

It was midnight. Mother surely must have realized my disappearance by now. An appearance change would be critical to keeping away. After a short nap I'll search for hair dye and scissors. While there is nothing that can be done about my face, eye contacts are my best bet.

         "Only thirty minutes." A lie I told myself being unaware of the overexertion my body had undergone to get here.

1:24 p.m.

Awaken to loud shuffling, a muffled curse was heard as my eyes peeled open.

     "Shit—don't get up." The unfamiliar man hastily said to me. In all honesty I didn't know whether to be afraid that I woke up in a different place than I went to sleep in or the fact that he was standing there watching me awkwardly. Currently sitting up on a relatively soft couch we just stared at each other in complete silence.

     "So...what's your name, kid?” The stranger broke the silence. As long as I can remember I've always been a terrible liar. "[ ]."

      "No surname? Just [ ]?"

      "I do have one but I would rather not tell you simply because I don't know you."

A stifled laugh came from the man.

      "Yeah, guess you're right. I'm Jason. Nice to meet you." He reached a hand out. "Is this a sign of friendship?"

Another less concealed laugh came from 'Jason'.

      "Yeah. What are you, an alien or something? Never heard of a handshake?" He leaned on the couch.

      "Thank you for your hospitality, Jason." I firmly accepted the hand. "Your hand is rough. Do you take care of your hands often?"

      "Y'know you are a natural at starting conversations." He pulled his hand away as he walked towards the cooking area.

      "So you got any parents, kid?" He bluntly questioned simultaneously opening the refrigerator.

     "Whether or not you believe me, yes. I have one mother who tried to kill me for experimentation. I survived by luck."

He hummed bringing a canned drink to the countertop. "Huh." Is all he said as he pulled back the can to have a drink. "I believe you. Honestly speaking it would be harder to believe if you had a pair of loving parents and you just ran away." He said finishing the contents of the can.

        "You live around here?" He tossed the can.

         "No, quite far actually."

        "Alright then you can stay with me for a bit. Not the best but it's a place. As long as your mom doesn't come looking for you and trashing the place." Not that I would admit it at the time but right there and then a shimmer came to the sickeningly green dots I called eyes.

         "Thank you, Jason."

         "I’m in no position to be a Dad right now, but, I guess I’m your temporary dad for now."

          "Okay."

Edden:

- Edden has trouble remembering anything. He'll just, forget. This includes his name, current location, or personality. He just forgets everything. - Edden's real eye color is actually amber. Do to factors out of his control, however, have made his eyes pure white

Opaline:

- Opal has no likes or dislikes. She is a very plain girl, other than the fact she is AI. - Despite her messy appearance, she always has everything in order. She also watches everything that goes on.

Lace:

- Lace would have that same amber eyes Edden does if they were alive. - Lace can shapeshift their appearance. They tend to make themselves look fem.

Ash:

- Ash's full name is actually Ashley. He adamantly goes by Ash. - Ash has a fear of spiders, he is terrified of them. - He is banned from playing card games with people because he will always win.

Winter:

- Winter travels through time and timelines which makes him have many different outfits for each time period or time line. His current outfit was made by Emory because she doesn't like any one of his older outfits, in time sense or the ones I use to draw him in. - If he feels close to people, he ends up calling sweetie or dear, or any old lady complimenting you name. The only exception is his sister, Carrie, who he affectionately calls 'Care Bear'. - Winter doesn't remember what age he is, he's been through so many timelines and periods that he can't pin point an age. He knows he is at least older than Carrie, which isn't saying much because she is 13.

Damien:

- Damien is roughly 10 ft tall. He is always leaning down to make sure he can talk to people face to face, or at least they don't have to stare up into the sky to make eye contact with him. - Damien can't see due to all the bandages over his face. - Damien has a soft spot for cats, underneath all the mumbling, he is a real sweetheart.

Azure:

- Azure is one of the youngest, along with Opal, being 5 years old. - Azure is terrified of everything and everyone. If your name doesn't start with O, she is scared of you and everything you do. - Her star necklace is a gift from someone who she doesn't remember. She wants to thank them if she ever does.

Lilith:

- Lilith is a really good cook. She has an recipe book of all her mother's recipes. - Lilith is the only one of her siblings to only have 1 design element of her outfit that resembles her card. Her tie looks like a spade(Ash has all the diamonds on his eye patch, bag, on his sleeves, he even has card earrings for both of his siblings. Any look at Elliot shows you the hearts on his design). - Lilith really likes bright colors, she adores scene and pastel clothing. But she never wears it as she feels it makes her business woman persona seem fake.

Cosmo:

- Cosmo will talk for hours about space. He will tell you space puns, talk about astronomers and astronauts for as long as you let him. - His hair style is just a literal play on space buns. The long parts are just an homage to an old hairstyle I gave him. - Cosmo's eyes aren't actually the neon green ones he has, no one has seen what his real eye color is.

Navy:

- Navy's veil is to resemble Jellyfish streamers. - If Navy were to open his eyes, instead of pupils, he would have infinity signs instead. - Navy has a brother, but he isn't around much anymore.

Celina:

- Celina wants to be an actress. She believes that with her dance skills and her 'condition' would make her a star in everyone's eyes. - The stars on her skin (the white dots) would be freckles. - When not dancing or practicing her acting, she likes to a baseball bat to various pictures of other people and smash whatever surface the picture is on. - Her leg strength is very powerful and she will kick your face in, but won't... :)

Carrie:

- Carrie always has her umbrella up, even indoors, she doesn't want people to see her face. - Carrie is very noise sensitive, if there is too much noise, she tends to swing her umbrella in the direction of the noise, hoping to hit whatever generating the noise. - Carrie is blind, she sometimes uses her umbrella as a walking stick when she is sure no one is around her.

.A.M.Y:

- .A.M.Y believes that she is an AI that was created to become human through mechanical means. She started by having a metal spine attached to her. - She loves to learn about mechanics and machinery, she wants to be an engineer when she grows up. - .A.M.Y likes her hair the most about her appearance. She doesn't even like someone touching her hair. She takes good care of it, she believes that's what her programing tells her.

Willow:

- Willow was a very lonely child growing up. He liked to dream of people to be his friends or siblings. When he learned how to make AI that felt human, he immediately created these people so he could be less lonely. - Willow hates his haircut. The only reason he has it is because his father says he should keep his hair at the length it is. - Willow has the remote control part of his wheelchair because of chronic pain he has had all his life. He can't manually move his wheelchair for long periods. - Willow seeks his dad's praise constantly, he would remove his AI creations if that meant his dad was proud of him.

Honor:

- Honor has only ever been seen eating meat. Not even Ray has seen her eat anything else. - Honor has 18 older brothers, she is the youngest of her family and the only daughter. - Honor likes plushies, she really likes bunny ones especially. - Honor knows how to sew and cauterize wounds, even ones that could only happen if one were chopping up body parts.

Elliott:

- Elliott's head band(hair tie? it's a long sash that goes on his head it could be both) was a gift from Willow, Elliott is never seen without it on. - The hearts on Elliott's boots, specifically the inner hearts, are actually buttons that activate the skates of his shoes. As seen in this height chart, he does not have the wheels. - Elliott prefers plants over people. His room is covered with plants, it's more of the plants room than his own. - Elliott always has his hair up in some way, if asked he'll tell you that it is because he doesn't want to look like his brother. - The thick part of Elliott's eyes are his eye brows, his eyes are more dot shaped, he is just constantly angry that his eyebrows have stayed that way

Ray:

- Ray remembers that his father was fisher, which makes him believe that he was named after the Manta Ray. - Ray hates the color blue. He gets irrationally upset when he made to wear it for long periods of time. This being said, he hates Ash's outfit, not Ash, just the outfit. - Ray talks via written word. He has never talked once, he can't. - Honor calls Ray 'popcorn head' cause his hair looks like white cheddar popcorn. Ray has regretfully accepted the fact that she will always call him that. - Ray always has something covering his face, usually the giant sketchbook. He has drawn various expressions on it. Due to this fact, Ray can also fall asleep anywhere, even standing up, and no one would notice .

Emory:

- Emory sews her own clothes. She likes to take inspiration from Lolita styled clothing. She has also sewn various items for other characters such as the frills underneath Navy's raincoat, the overcoat Winter has, and Damien's entire outfit. - Emory switches between first person and third person when ever she talks. No one knows if she is aware of this. - Emory has a posh British accent. She sounds more British than her siblings. - Emory prefers to wear clothes that coverup her body. Along with several layers underneath those clothes. Her current outfit is her most revealing.

7 dip headcanons now (points at you threateningly)

7? You want 7??? Oh hell yeah, starting off with a bang!

-Pip is a snuggler when he sleeps, no doubt about it. Give him a plush or a pillow, or hell, even just his blanket, & he's set to go. Its comforting to him to have something to hold onto while he dozes; makes him feel less alone. While having a sleepover, he informs Damien -quite embarrassedly- that he tends to be "clingy" when he sleeps, & that he'll sleep on the floor while Damien takes the bed. Damien is having none of this, & -just as embarrassed himself- tells Pip that he doesn't mind, & that he practically does the same thing. Next thing ya know, they're passed out in each others arms, content smiles everywhere. (this kinda feeds off my hc that they're always touching in some way, as it's comforting & reassuring to know that the other is there).

-When it comes to nightmares, Pip has them more frequently, especially soon after he died. Memories of his death replayed in his mind enough times to prevent him from sleeping for a few days, but they don’t affect him as much anymore, always having the comfort of the antichrist next to him when needed. Damien will rarely have them, and refuses to discuss them, opting to just hold Pip in his arms until he falls asleep. He later reveals that they’re usually of Pip being torn away from him in a sort of prophecy-esque way, like Heaven forcefully taking back what was meant to be an angel. One night of Damien doing this while he believes Pip to be asleep, he rests his head on the blond’s shoulder and silently cries, begging to the gods to never take him away.

-Surprisingly, Damien is afraid of the dark. He’s so used to there always being fire burning bright in Hell, so his first few nights on the surface had him rigid. Something’s wrong if Hell’s gone dark. Pip grew up not having electricity in Britain, so he’s used to it. He's not so much afraid of the dark as he's afraid of what's in it.

-They both use pet-names, but Damien was a bit hesitant at first. It only took him once of accidently letting “okay honey” slip out once to realize he liked the happy grin on Pip’s face whenever he does so. Pip’s favorites to use include, “dear”, and “love”, but he doesn’t limit himself, and boy he doesn’t hold back either. Pip can get to the point of obnoxiously bad pet-names, if only to annoy Damien a little bit.

-Pip: "Hmm, I wonder what I taste like"

Damien: "I can help with that."

Pip: "*blushes & thinks of a sweet kiss*"

Damien: "*thinks about biting him*"

-One of Damien's favorite games to play is "how many of Pip's thing's can I take before he notices?", & he's gotten quite far with it, sometimes taking up to 2 weeks for the Brit to finally realize something is gone & Damien helps him look for it, before revealing everything in a neat pile stowed away somewhere. He finds this game hilarious until one day he's missing something of his own. He tears the house apart looking for it in a frenzy, until Pip is dangling said item in front of him. "Not so fun when you're on the other end, is it?" Damien has since stopped playing this game.

-Despite their shared fear of the dark & what's in it, they like to go on camping trips together in the forest, not at all far from the edge of Stark's Pond. Pip teaches Damien how to build a campfire, & the demon lights it. They roast marshmallows over their fire, Damien sometimes cooking it himself over his hand, where a small fire crackles. Pip is entranced by his fire magic every single time he sees it, & tells Damien so, flustering him. Sometimes he'll even put on a little light show, just for the two of them. The darkness & sounds of the animals can be off-putting, but as long as they're together, they're alright. Of course, they share a tent for the night, content to sleep cuddled up together.
