I think perhaps if Treasure was a teen pregnancy and their parent/caregiver was the stranger at Wonderworld with Vincent before his turning, then Porter going to Vincent for help and the quote “family looks out for each other” would be something symbolic there

Vincent and Stranger had a bond because they were the faces each other saw before they died, although Stranger legitimately died - whereas Vincent lived on, a little imposter syndrome there would be evident. Vincent got to live a new life while Stranger’s got cut short.

So, Vincent helping Porter love Stranger’s child like they deserve to be loved because “family” (aka, people you’re bonded to) “look out for each other” (aka, if you love a person, care for who they love).

So Vincent owes it to Stranger to look out for Treasure.

They need to be struck by lighting and be medically dead for like five minutes before their old powers kick in and jumpstart their heart or something - I don’t care that they’re a vampire, I think lighting could still do some substantial damage

I figured they were kind of NPCs in a way, as none of them in the real world know that they’re being projected in the dreamscape, so how would the fake versions develope consciousnesses? - they’re just versions of what Dreamer perceived them as, and what Dreamer’s brain twisted them into for their Project Meridian purpose. So, none of them but Marcus and Asset had any actual choice over what they did, I think Dreamer mainly influenced their actions - but who knows really

Okay, now I'd like to hear what you guys think about this: Do you think the characters other than Asset and Marcus in the dreamscape have consciousness? Or are they like NPCs that have their speech and action coded by something else (in this case, by Asset's memories and perception of that person)?

Baby (of the Ollie variety) having chronic pain and putting on a gaming video or a explanatory podcast to help them relax because it reminds them of when Ollie explains a game to them.

Sunshine who always makes romantic comments to Elliot about how he’s their moon. Without each other, the sun could not shine, and the moon could not rest.

Smartass who always swears in a different language, and Aaron who’s slowly learned what each of them means with context clues. He’s too stubborn to outright ask them what they’re saying.

Because like, imagine that trend where it’s like “do you think we’re together in every universe?” And then it’s just different pictures of Doc living monotonous and lacklustre versions of their life without Hush

This is the one universe he exists in, one purpose, one timeline - yet he will become so much more

Do you think the department found bodies and had to identity the cause of death because they looked so different to the soulless corpses of those killed by shades - but nothing was done to the perpetrator because he fought back, saying that it was the department’s fault he was stuck in there in the first place and it was just ‘self defence’

Realistically, maybe not - however! I feel like at some point he may piss off the wrong person, and he is out there killing people, so surely someone’s gonna figure it out and want revenge.

But also, may I offer you, the symbolism of Treasure weeping at Porter’s grave - now stay with me - a mortal grieving the supposed immortal who believed his world was too big for them to understand, only for them to outlive him due to the crushing weight of the his world

I have a little headcanon about Dreamer (awakened Asset) that I’ve had in my back pocket for a while:

So, my Dreamer is trans and while they were Asset, they had the body of the gender they wanted to be, and had a body that fit the idealised version of who they wanted to look like (but obviously all robot like).

But - they went through their corrupted brain with Marcus with that body, involved themselves physically with Marcus in that body, was mentally altered and played with like a doll in that body.

So, on one hand, when they woke up it was easier for them to detach themselves from their time as Asset because they were put back in a body they could distinctly differ due to their dysphoria - although now, when they do more to physically appear like the gender they want, they connect their appearance with those memories of Marcus and Asset.

So on one hand - they can detach themselves from their trauma due to the fact they they’re completely physically different to Asset, but in a way, they want to become Asset. So it’s a bit of a wild mental conundrum for them.
