Third layer! I added a transparent overlay to the deadlayer. This will come through in shadows, acting as the red tones you see in the picture. Notice the lack of green shadows in the original photograph ;)

Here is a quick little #timelapse of 🌸Beauty becomes the Beast🌸 getting her second #deadlayer. I was hesitant on this step and actually scrapped several hours of work before committing to a more muted #underpainting layer. Stepping into color too soon often will lead to an unfortunate turpentine bath in my studio.
