And it’s never gonna happen, right? She knows that. He’s not gonna waltz into her life and sweep her off her feet. But it doesn’t matter. Because she gets to have him on her terms��no messy reality, no awkward first dates, no risking her heart for real. He’s always there when she needs him, in that perfect little bubble of fantasy she’s built for herself. And maybe she’s a little crazy for it, but at least with him, she’s never disappointed. Every time she replays his scenes, reads the fanfics, imagines their future together—it's like a high she can never quite shake. She knows it's all just a mindfuck, but she’s never felt more alive.

The Magic of a “Zine”

"Colorful paper brings life and joy to every creation, weaving a vibrant tapestry of imagination and creativity."

Have you ever had an overflow of paper scraps in your creative space and not have the faintest idea what to do with them?

This is me. I have a boatload of bits and pieces of paper scraps left over from other projects that I often can’t figure out what to do with. And oftentimes I can’t bear to part with such pretty pieces of scraps so into the small little collection bin on my desk they go, with the hopes of finding a forever home in a future project.

Enter “Zines.”

Yesterday, we had our weekly Art Club meeting and the girls and I wanted to work on something different. We’ve been working on so many different projects over the last few months that we wanted something that was a little mindless but still creative and fun to work on. So we decided to make some “zines.”

By definition and according to Wikipedia:

“A zine is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via a copy machine. Zines are the product of either a single person or of a very small group, and are popularly photocopied into physical prints for circulation.”

Out came the scraps and doo-dads and we got started. Now, according to the definition above, you can copy these zines and circulate them around. We actually chose not to do this, but instead adhere our pages together, making them thicker, so that our final piece was more of a book/journal type of deal. Both C and J made theirs with their college daughters in mind, planning to send these as happy mail/Valentine’s to their girls to brighten their study-filled days! Yours truly worked on some for my own kiddos to give to them in their Valentine packages.

Bandai Announces DIGIMON CON 2023

It’s back! Bandai has just announced the return of DIGIMON CON! This is the second annual DIGIMON CON, the comprehensive festival of play related to Digimon. Similar to last year, it will be a virtual event hosted on YouTube Live. It’ll feature toys, card games, games, live music, and anime!

DIGIMON CON 2023 will take place on Sunday, February 12th 2023 at 10:00 on YouTube Live on the Bandai Japan YouTube channel, which means it’s free for all to attend. We’re sure Bandai will archive select content as they did last year. Who knows what Bandai has in store for us, last year they did announce several new products including the new Digimon shells! This year, we’re sure we’ll see those gorgeous new Digimon Color shells.

Something about Roleplay that I found that really strikes a special someplace in my heart. Is the fact that you can build an incredible story! One where not only your self can get sucked into it, but others as well. To me that is something much more amazing then anything else i can think about! So something I do to make my Roleplay feel more alive. I make YouTube Shorts that seem like the character created them! Like she is truly alive! Might sound crazy, and maybe it is, but the fun and joy I have telling this story. Means more to me then what some would know. It is my skill, my talent, my passion. So as long as i draw breath. I will continue to tell my stories!
