SO I HEARD ITS NIKATOBER!! i cant draw or write fanfiction so have some headcanons!!

•nika LOVES dancing but she especially loves wearing twirly dresses so it will look cool when shes spinning

•nika is non-binary and asexual!!

•they dont like the rain that much since it messes up her spiky hair but they love the smell of the dirt after the rain

•nika adores wearing suits but ONLY if the said suit has some kind of flare or personality(as in if its just a bland suit she absolutely wont wear it but if the suit was different they would absolutely love it)

•her body is natually cold and they are used to cold weathers(unironically, her favourite season is also winter)

•sends edits of nikolai and fyodor from bungou stray dogs to damian with the caption "us" lmao

•rip nika you would have loved manspreading

•they love recieving flowers and also buying flowers(they once went to central chile to find pink alstroemerias for damian(headcanon that alstroemeria is damians favourite flower)

•her favourite flower are carnations(white carnations to be exact)

•nika cant cook(other than basic things but they also dont taste that well(you better know connors trying to lie😭😭)

•connor is their bestfriend and she is connors bestfriend(underrated besties fr) they are still in contact idc

•nika isnt the biggest fan of chocolate but they do love gums, jellies and gummy worms so so much(while mila is the opposite average agreement between siblings)

•she got really emotional after seeing mila because they really missed their family but shes trying to hide it(mila missed her deeply too but shes too wrapped up with her own powers to fully reunite with nika)

•nika loves watching movies like coraline it always gives them goosepumps

•hardcore creepypasta fan, used to stay awake past the sleeping hours and use her moms phone secretly to watch slenderman videos under the covers quietly

•talia didnt like them at first(not because she had something against nika she was just thinking of damian) but as time went on she grew fond of nika

•damian has a spider named "arachne" and since nika isnt the biggest fan of spiders she found a lizard and named it "pallas athena" out of spite(fun fact: lizards eat spiders btw(not that she would let anything happen to arachne she just thought it was funny))

•they love making their own jewelry(her hairclips, bracelets, necklaces etc)

they made mara bunch of hairclips to match her red streak and also look cool and since damians hair is getting longer nika also made him multiple hairclips

she loves giving out bracelets to people she loves for example she made enough bracelets for rose to cover up her entire arms(not that rose is complaining they love eachother <33)

•nika still has a russian accent(i have been imagining them with an accent😭😭)

•makes a lot of skeleton jokes(think of sans from undertale😼😼)

Their faces😭 He is so mad and she is so sad and clinging to him to apologize for her action😭😭

Honestly, Nika is partially telling her truth to Damian here, she only asked for Damian to help her find her sister, and he did, so she thanked him, promising to talk later. She just trying to buy time for her plans to work while stopping Damian from getting more involved and making Mila trust her.

Look at how cheerful and cute Nika is with her sister… Mila is so pretty… they are so cutee☹️☹️🥲

This is probably the first time they’re having fun and understanding each other, and Nika already knows she has made the decision to sacrifice this possible renewed kinship by betraying Mila's trust while keeping her safe. ( look at her sad face ungghggh my baby ueueee😭😭😭 she knows she will have two people she loves mad at her simultaneously in one single night…)

Just thinking that Nika still cares about her sister a lot, and probably knows this criminal life will not do well for Mila in the longest run, so she track her down and decided to make a plan to get her out… And all this time Mila is blinded by jealousy of not having power as her, then when she gets the power she doesn't even once try to find Nika😭😞😞

I'm just hoping Nika will keep in touch with their mother and tell her what happened to Mila…

Nika immediately blasts Mila with the ice guns once Mila wants to severely harm and poses a danger to Damian. Mila must have called Nika weirdo so many times as an insult when they were little kids, cuz Nika is still mad about this (I don't blame her, you go girl!! Tell her to back off, seems like your sister still doesn't know that words still hurt).

Nika came to him and Batman to ask for help to find her sister and make sure it would be fine for her to handle Mila's situation (minimal the chance for Mila to be sent to Gotham prison, and stick to her plan). She explains her plan and actions to Damian and tells him that it's not all an act with him.

She wants to return the favor by helping his cases and making sure that's fine with him too (She's so open to talk and gentle to Damian here… and meanwhile he looked so sad thinking she's leaving again so soon😭).

Man-bat in Nikola's style is sooo good!!! I love how he looks here, so brutal and threatening! This page is one of my favorite.

Love these panels too, Batman being dragged into the darkness by Man-bat… Shush why are you looking so shook here, even though Batman save you from Man-bat's strike a few seconds before… I thought you wanted him dead?

Erica's face lowkey reminds me of that one Shrek image… she's so funny with that stare she gave to Damian😂

Can't wait for the next issue! If Ms. Hall is actually Shush, it would be so interesting for her to see Damian sneaking Nika into school to help him try to uncover the principal as Shush.

I had a feeling that in the next issue, Nika would punch Damian's bullies for calling him names (look how she did with her sister, she definitely would not tolerate that I fear), or something they planned together this time would happen to get both of them to the detection.

(I'm kinda sad that Mila's appearance is so short, hopefully she can return in later issues… reasons number 97676443178 why I need a Flatline solo!! To explore more with her family!!!🙏🙏)

I honestly saw this coming, but Im not mad that I did. It makes sense.

I really didn't saw Nika suddenly joining her sister on the family business, let alone with all the baggage between them. I know she's technically a morally good/grey-ish character but in this case her "betrayal" actually being one wouldn't fit her interests.

Me when Nika tries to protect Mila and get her out of a bad place while simultaneously beating her ass as she should and Damian even through still not enjoying the events understands her position and quickly gets over it

Mila Garak:

While she's definitely not a deadbeat mom in the lazy sense, she did kind of, proverbially speaking, leave her son out in the cold... She lied about who his real father was well into his adult life, while also imposing said father's wishes on him. She wanted what she thought would be a better life for him, a chance at upward mobility, but placed him under the thumb of an abusive man to get there and then didn't stand up for him. She roped her brother into helping raise the kid as a cover story. She retired alongside the father and didn't really do much during or after her son facing exile at his mercy. I don't think she's an unsympathetic character and I find her extremely compelling, but I also don't think anyone can claim she was a great mom 😭

she died ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and that's enough for this fandom to render the loml janet drake abusive so... failmom martha is therefore hilarious to me. martha wayne failed at being bruces mom by dying and that's why hes batman. and they're literally rich so she was probably an absent mother too (SILLY i stand by it tho if janets a bad mom so is martha). but its ok because shes hot

Over the Garden Wall + Russian Folklore inspires AU

I have some general ideas for this au. Basically it will be a two-part setting. Part one setting is referencing the Over the Garden Wall show. It's about Mila and Nika getting into the unknown and meeting Rose (somehow getting into the unknown too) on the journey of finding ways of getting back home.

The second part of the setting (there's a time skip) will focus on Daminika/gravebird and heavily inspired/referenced Russian Folklore, that's all I can tell before spoilers about how things will end up in the first part.

(I'm really excited about this au, although I don't know how much I can pull it off. This probably will be a long project that requires more thinking and research.)

A former decepticon scout from under Soundwave's command with the designation Kha-2 (or Kha-Delta haven't decided yet) is stranded on earth around the time of the Egyptian empire and is put into stasis (for reasons that I may tell later) at the end of which he onlines with little to no memories of his previous life. He travels carefully through the world until one day, Milagro Reyes finds him while getting away from an overwhelming large family reunion in a national park and totally not getting lost in the process :']

Kha-2 looks at this little organic and thinks yeah, i trust her to be my new commander.

Mila looks at this big blue robot and thinks yeah, now the adults and everyone at the playground will respect me if im with this guy.

I agree! The story may not be at its best (in terms of plot and elements)... but I can appreciate what Joshua's trying to do in terms of Batman and Damian being father and son.

For the Flatline part, I have made my opinion on this (as well as others), so apologies if I repeat myself: I really don't like the dynamic either. I can see they're trying to pull a sort-of Batcat 0.2 but it's just NOT what Damian needs, in regards to his character??

Also, I don't know if it's me but Flatline appears less genuine as an individual. Her "apology" to Damian in her second betrayal just doesn't sound earned. Not to mention, she's still harboring secrets about Ra's and his revival(?). I hope they bring that up at least.

In my opinion, Flatline should've not been involved in B&R at all. Maybe give her a solo comic again? Let her face her own problems? The introduction of her sister (Mila) being like "I got powers because I was jealous of my sister!" was disappointing. It just felt silly with the direction of the storyline.

A majority of this series feels a bit forced, unnecessary in some parts, and a little wonky to say the least. But overall, the series is okay so far.

Hello! 👋 Just a curious question: what do you think of Batman & Robin (2023 her) so far?

Hi! Well, I have some mixing feelings over that run. I would say that I have more like mixing feellings over Joshua Williamson's writing of Damian as a character, but anyways, in general, I don't think it's bad but neither I think it's good, I would say that there are a lot of things that I did enjoy in the run but there are also stuff I found kinda boring or oc.

I think what happens with this run is similar to what happened with Robin 2021, that because other comics were bad, this comic came to like a neutral form, like "at least is not as bad as the other comics/interpretations", but that came more related to Damian's characterization, that has good moments but in general I have always feel like Joshua writes Damian in a really bland/boring way, not risking too much on new dilemas for him or a stronger and fierce personality.

I've come to realization that maybe that's my personal taste, I've always like Damian being more defiant and rebel.

But for other part, the plots are kinda just there, it doesn't feel like actual plots to me, pretty much stereotypical boring stuff with villians that are not really interesting and even boring.

I think the strongest point of the series is exactly their name "Batman and Robin" "Bruce and Damian", I can criticized a lot of Williamson's direction but I do like how he handled Damian and Bruce relationship in this run, I could actually feel Bruce's love and compaassion for Damian, not like some other runs that forgets that Bruce is supposed to be a father and not just a leader. I really enjoyed their way to make them relate as father-son not only to the vigilante life but to their normal life.

Other thing I didn't like is what they are doing with Flatline, I think that they are trying to create a dynamic that doesn't seem to fit Damian's character and everytime they tried to established that dynamic feels off and oc and even started to getting the dislike from the fans. I don't know why they are trying so hard to make them act like that, especially Flatline, they are always playing the "I betrayed you but not really" and is getting annoying and boring.

I would say that if you enjoyed Robin 2021, you probably would like this as well

For me it's likek a 6-7/10, not really bad or awful but not really good.
