i know the whole "do you think jon ever used his powers to Know what his parents looked like" thing is far more devastating than this but what if he tried using his powers to remember original sasha? jon and sasha always seemed closer than the rest, he picked her (and tim) to work with him and tolerated a lot more nonsense from her than anyone else (using his password to access his computer [161], debating his pronunciation of calliope [25], etc)

and ofc jon and martin became significantly closer as the podcast went on, but in the beginning he was cruel to martin when he gave a statement but accepting of sasha? idk i think their friendship was a lot deeper than we realized (ESPECIALLY since his first murder in season 5 was because NotThem provoked him about sasha) and i think jon wouldve used his powers to Know the original sasha, not sure if it wouldve worked though

Cursed by being a Fabian fan, having to think about Hallariel Seacaster. Queen of being out of focus. Truly just a ghost of a character. I need a supecut of the scenes with her just to study her under a microscope. As far as I recall we do not get a single second of interiority from her.

And of course this bare sketch of a character happens to be surrounded by some of the most screen stealing, scenery munching characters in the entire show. Gilear! Bill! Fabian himself! Like when Bill fucks up as a parent you also have many scenes of him being a deeply facinating and fun character. When Hallariel fucks up you have...???? Well you for sure have the mistakes she's made and the damage she's done.

Neglect is a marked absence though, I suppose. The hole where somebody should be. An absent mother being absent from the text. It works, but still. Who the hell is Hallariel Seacaster?

Yo I'm sorry, not to be all "kids these days" yet again, but why are >20 year olds so immediately rude to each other and their peers? I work with this age range, because I work at a university, and I have older friends in uni as well who are always around students this age range, and it's just a constant back-and-forth of insults but with "I'm kidding haha!!" added on the end. Like a tiktok comment section, they're so quick to make fun of someone and call them bestie in the same sentence.

I know it has something to do with social media being a barrier when talking to people, it's easier to be mean / you can't gauge people's emotions or tone properly / peer pressure to "jokingly" bully people, etc etc I've heard it all.

I do feel like instagram is notorious for this kind of behaviour. Every comment section I open is just so fucking mean for zero reason. Someone will post a reel about a random topic and almost every comment is just people immediately making fun of their appearance or voice or what-have-you. I don't know when cyber-bullying became unserious.

And I know it's not just >20 year olds. I know that. I can't just blame the youths. But also, that's what I'm seeing. I'm just commenting on what I'm seeing with my own eyes.

It's not fun or really funny for anyone. Fucking be nice to each other, you little assholes.

So I actually have a legitimate reason for not finishing smaugust! I lost my stylus which I use to draw and was really frustrated so I just was like I’m not finishing this and stopped. However, months later and after I thankfully found the stylus, I was bored and wanted to draw dragons! So I’ma try and finish smaugust now

Danny grumbled, his forehead pressed against the park table while the phone against his ear rang, Sam and Tucker’s barely concealed giggles to either side of him.

“Vlad Masters speaking.” He said as soon as he picked up the phone. Of course he couldn’t say something normal like ‘hello’ or ‘how can I help you?’ when answering calls from an unknown number.

“Is ghost puberty a thing?” Danny asked immediately and Sam and Tucker absolutely lost their shit, devolving into loud guffaws.

“Excuse me?” Vlad answered, baffled. If Danny weren’t so miserable, it would be hilarious.

“Ghost puberty. Is it a thing?”

“Unfortunately.” Vlad said.

Danny just groaned, beginning to slightly hit his head against the table.

“Oh shit, it is?” Tucker asked. Danny gave a small hum of confirmation.

“Great. Fucking. Great.” Danny mumbled into the phone.

“I, ah… didn’t think you’d have to go through it for several more years.” Vlad actually sounded almost apologetic.

“Not going through it yet,” Danny said, ignoring how weird this conversation was. “But figured I’d better ask since I’m fucking teething.”

“Your fangs are coming in? Has it really already been two years?”

“You don’t have fangs when you’re human!” Danny (definitely not did not) whined.

“I did for a little while. Eventually it goes away and will just be on your ghost side. I’m assuming you’ve already discovered over the counter pain relievers do nothing?”

“My entire head hurts.” Danny said as a not-answer.

Vlad sighed. “Truce? It’s going to get worse.”

“What the fuck do you mean it gets worse?”

“It gets… much worse.”

Danny just hit his head harder against the table. Was this helping? No it was not. But there was no ghost around to punch the ectoplasm out of.

“Come by in a few hours. We’ll talk.”

“Fine.” Danny grumbled. Vlad said nothing else, ending the call.

“So how’d the talk about puberty with your sworn enemy go?” Sam teased.

“Dude, what is your life that this a thing you have to do?” Tucker added.

Danny banged his head again. “Shut up.”

15 Day BL Challenge 2024 - The Sequel (PART 1) :

I never have enough it seems. Again, we don’t really have time to do it from day to day, so I’m going to post 5 of them in a post. You can find this challenge here and thanks to @slonekaru for making this sequel.

16 – What show has taken you by surprise this year?

Three shows has taken me by surprise this year.

The first one is Reverse 4 You. I remember when I saw the first pictures of this series and I read the synopsis. I was thinking “meh”, it’s not for me. I think I waited until the series reach the middle of its story to watch it and I never expected to like this series as much as I did. It has its flaws as any other series, but it never really was a problem for me. I was charmed by the main leads and I was rooting for them to be together. It was a great surprise and I had fun.

The second series was Every You, Every Me. I admit, it may be wrong, but I usually get hyped by a series for two reasons: its plot or the actors/actresses that star in it. However, when I read the synopsis of this series, I didn’t get the appeal. I also admit I didn’t know the actors, so I had nothing to really grab my attention. I know myself, sometimes my judgment can be too hasty, so I gave it a try and it became one my favorite Sunday treat. The actors’ performance were really good and the idea of mixing several stories and featuring the same leads was compelling.

The third one is a series that is still airing and it's Caged Again. I really thought it would be a silly show that will just be entertaining. Again, I was proven wrong. There is so much more in this series that I never expected. I forgot that sometimes, talking about serious topics, doesn't require a serious settings or characters. Animals-turned-humans that experience what the meaning of humanity is actually a good idea.

17 – What's your most returned-to / comfort BL show?

If we are strictly talking about a 2024 show, I would say Love for Love’s Shake. I re-watched it several times and I always get the same feelings. I guess it gave me hope when I was feeling down.

However, if it’s my most returned-to BL show of all time, I will have to say Not Me, again. I already said many times how much this series count for me, so I won’t repeat myself because you'll get tired of reading the same things all the time.

A special mention to I Will Knock You and 3 Will Be Free.

18 – What show are you waiting most (im)patiently for?

Do we have to give only one?! There isn't only one show that I'm waiting for very impatiently, so I'm going to give 5 of them (but the list is longer). These are the ones I really can't wait. There are at the top of the list.

The Ex-Morning because I really can't wait to see what they are going to give us. I know I'm pretty late to the party as I watched Sotus and the sequels this year (again a special thanks to @dropthedemiurge for showing me what I was missing), but no one is really too late to appreciate something. I was impressed by the work of Krist and Singto and I want to see what they can bring to this story.

Interminable seems to have everything I like in one story: historical romance paired with drama and reincarnation. We're also going to see beautiful traditional Thai dances and I really started to appreciate them thanks to @heaven-is-in-your-arms-series that writes about them in series (I also want to add that they regale me with their reviews of Mhom Ped Sawan)

Us is my third choice because it’s been too long and the wait is actually killing me. I wish I could say it’s because the story seems incredible that I would like to watch this series, but I have to admit it’s mostly because of Emi Thasorn. This woman is so dreamy.

Goddess Bless You From Death is a story I can’t wait to see. I got a taste of “horror” BL series with DFF and now I want to have more. I also started to read the first chapter of the book in English and so it made me really anticipate this series (I will probably never know the end of the story without the series because the kind translator of this series stopped translating).

The last one I can’t wait to see is Only Friends: Dream On. I admit I like the drama and the messiness of the first one. This new cast and the trailer made me really curious to see what we can get. I’m a simple person, I like to be entertained and this seems to be pretty fun.

A special mention to Wicked, Pit Babe 2, Memoir of Rati, Girls Rules and The next Prince.

19 – If you could turn any Non-BL show into a BL, which would you choose?

Very easy to choose, I would say High School Frenemy. I know it was very BL-coded bromance, but why not going full BL?!

On a side note, I feel Summer Night would have made a good GL with a side dish of BL.

20 – Which series do you wish had more episodes than it did or you wish had another season?

The On1y One can't finish with this lukewarm ending. I know there were several announcement of a second season, but as there is nothing happening now, I still think I can add this series here so Tian and Wang can finally end up together. They found something in each other and I wish them happiness by keeping it.

Meet You at the Blossom was such a delight and I wish it had more episodes so I could enjoy all these characters more. I know we got special episodes, but it wasn't enough for me. It was great, but can't I be greedy?! I think it would also have given more time for the other couples.

Every You, Every Me, can have more seasons and a GL spin-off. I didn't get enough with this series.

A special mention to the Trainee, LoveSick 2024, First Note of Love and This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans.
