A wonderfully enjoyable bust up commission of @breir-blueleaf ‘s Cassian Epser High-born Fynneus Sailn. Thank you so much for commissioning me and for giving me the chance to explore his Dawngrazer Masquerade mask!

I decided to lump the last few screenshots together because there weren’t as many as I thought there would be. So here is the last few screenshots of The Celestial Forest~
As I said before, you can get there by porting to Atleion Rainsong. I’d love for folks to get a look at it before it’s gone. I spent... A ridiculous amount of time placing flowers, plants, animals, and developing lore for this whole custom zone. Nevermind the money (we won’t talk about the money).
The Celestial Forest was divided into 5 zones:
The Grove of Stars, Atleion Rainsong’s territorial claim, which acted as an Arborian memorial as much as it did his personal space. I was going to host Story Time events there, and still intend to do so, even if I can’t use the physical space once the game goes down.
The Calling Henge was nearby, which acted as a gathering point for the near feral aurin living within The Celestial Forest. Whenever a dispute over territory needed to be resolved, a trade bartered, or serious matters concerning all of the forest’s inhabitants needed to be discussed, a signal would be given to summon nearby parties to The Calling Henge to handle these matters before the Hoogle statues and the entire community.
The Stomping Ground was a short jaunt from there, and was supposed to be a designated hunting ground plentiful in animals and wild game, as well as Elementals. My plans had been to rotate animals every few weeks to orchestrate hunting seasons, from Dawngrazer, to wild Rowdowser and Cubigs.
Then we had The Forest Heart. The Forest Heart consisted of a lush part of the forest, stretching back to a cave. Inside of the cave, a blue crystal sat surrounded by plant vines cradling it, and the aurin of the forest believed it to be strong in the Weave, thus it was treated with dignity and sanctity. Matters they wanted to handle in front of the Weave were to be done there, such as Joining ceremonies, Funerals, and Naming ceremonies in which someone would be given their name within the community upon joining the ranks of the would-be wild aurin.
The final zone was called The Burnt Forest. It was burned down during the early stages of Nexus’ settlement and conflict, and though nature has begun to reclaim the area, it has regrown far different from the rest of the forest. The aurin within the community were superstitious and uneasy about the place, and it was said to be haunted. Draken from a nearby encampment often set up shop within the forest knowing the aurin would not venture there, which made it easy for them to plot trips to hunt both beast, aurin, and Exile throughout the forest. The plan was to initiate NPC-fueled draken raids in which WSRP, should they desire it, could go and clear out these hunters or chase them back to protect the forest.

The forest was dark, but alive with hoots and growls. The wind blew through the dry leaves of the trees, adding a deafening rush that brought thunder in its wake. Twin pairs of brown Aurin eyes peered intently out into a clearing, their pupils dilated to rounds to take in the most of the dwindling moonlight. They'd chased a dawngrazer here. No doubt the creature hoped that the two Aurin would turn back and think better of following it into the Cursewood.
Cursewood was as dark and ominous as always, it’s flora and atmosphere tainted by the necromagics of Moodies that lived nearby. Only the boldest Aurin traveled these woods and even fewer chose to make it their home. The rush of the wind-blown leaves seemed to sound as a warning to the two Aurin.
Go back!
Menacing growls and the scraping of claws warned of great beasts that haunted the dark forest. Malverine and pumera were the top predators of Cursewood, and neither would hesitate at the opportunity to take down a foolish Aurin.

Tenter slowly draws the lacquer brush down his creation, a carving of a dawngrazer with elaborate horns with further carvings in them. This little wonder had taken him weeks to carve out. He was very pleased with it which meant this piece would go for a couple dozen gold on the market.
Nina carefully walks up and observes his creation. She taps him on his shoulder to inform him of her presences, careful to wait so that he wasn't actually carving when she did so.

Fun/Specific Questions Meme: 7!
What kind of animals would they like as a pet? What names would they give their pets if they got any? If they already have pet's what are their names?
Guy owns a large, fiery bird named Fire of Heaven. You know, the one he claims is a phoenix but is most assuredly probably not a phoenix.
Gypsum has an interstellar fraz named Puff, whom she adores but has to be vigilant about keeping away from her electronics, due to its unfortunate electrical field.
Sasha has a lazy, lovable vind named Vanilla who likes to curl around her like a scarf while she’s working on the bridge.
Alder has no pets, but he’d really, really like one of those colorful dragon pets. He’d probably give it some stupid name like Supreme Lord of Burnmaking.
Kaamos has recently acquired a trask tenderling, which he rescued from a pack of vagrants who were harrassing it. It has since bonded with him, and he is now learning about the intricacies of its care.
Bhadra has no time for pets, given how much and how widely she travels, but she has a particular fondness for dawngrazers and has expressed desire to eventually keep one as a pet. She’ll often joke about how good they taste, too. Maybe it’s a Draken thing.

The Cave of Wonder
I'd been studying all the books that Halia provided, every day poring over tomes that were thicker than I was, resting, eating, sleeping, and reading. Hours turned to days, days turned to weeks.
It was only when I started to get into the practical application of knowledge, what was termed secondary studies, that I found the opportunity to see something in person.
The book described a Weave flower, a temporary fountain of active primal life energy that was summoned by a living thing, usually for reproduction. The concentration of energy was so dense that it could be easily manipulated by a rank beginner like myself.
An expert could do much more.
The book detailed several varieties of plants on Arboria that produced them at different points in the year. If I communed, I could find them. Unfortunately, I drew a blank each time.
The sun was low in the sky when I communed to search for the fungus called the sky ladder. This time it showed up bright in my mind. It was here and it was blooming. I could see its green glow in the dark.
My heart raced. I could hardly sleep and as soon as morning came, I told Halia.
She came with me down a long spiraling stairway under the big Elder tree's roots. The place was full of animals: dawngrazers, jabbits, flitterbugs, and splorg.
The cave was no exception. After our eyes adjusted to the dark, very faint lights became visible. The fungus and animals did not use the light to guide their movements. They were completely blind. But in the intense dark, they were so numerous that the mere presence of many little dim lights became an indicator of otherwise unseen walls and rocks.
Standing out among these were the different varieties of fungi that glowed green, bluish white, red and even purple. The smaller lights hung from the ceiling or crawled on the walls. It would be creepy if it weren't so beautiful.
It did not take us long to find what we were looking for.
The plate fungus, each spanning a width as long as a forearm, ascended up a huge crack that formed when the Elder tree's root punctured through the ceiling of the cave.
They glowed brightly as they spiralled up along the roots. Weave energy swirled from each in sparkling green powder.
I step forward gingerly. The bright light of the fungus and it's spores obliterated the dimmer lights around them, making them stand out even more against inky black.
My eyes burned with tears at the sight. I felt small, engulfed in blackness with my only light being that of the fungus. The weave energy was like a furnace.
I hold out my hand to draw some of the energy within. I watch the bright motes contact my skin and travel up my veins to the rhythm of my heart beat. I didn't need a vessel. I was the vessel.
Halia and I sat together marveling at the scene before us. She nuzzled me. It was an obvious sign of affection, and I immediately felt guilty for not returning it. I was taking so much of her time and energy.
"Halia. What do you want me to give you for your kindness?"
Halia admitted that she felt attracted to me, but all she wanted was for me to be me.
My heart sank. I didn't know what that would even look like. "I'll... Do my best to become someone you deserve, Halia. But if... I turn out some other way, I'm sorry."
She placed one finger on my chin and I stop talking. She wouldn't be happy if I crafted myself into someone I thought she would want.
"You don't know what I deserve."
She stood up and left me stunned. Once again she was right. For all the time we'd spent together, how much did I know her at all? I could not help but smile at her simple yet irrefutable logic.
Here I was so ready to give myself away to someone I barely knew.
I have to say for once I'm really lucky.

And beside @aurinqueen‘s Natinel we have my baby Matvei. A hybrid of dawngrazer (radiant, so all blue 83) and aurin. Both were created via a mordesh scientist and are currently his property.

Have a good one you Diurnal folks!

OOC: Y'don't get to come close to dangerous entities often enough, but when you do, you really get to see the detail and care put into each design, it's disgustingly wicked!

Whitevale, take two.
Whitevale's not a bad zone, visually. I don't give it enough credit. But it's definitely nowhere near being my favorite zone visually. A lot of my favorite caps came from areas with little or no snow, and that's a problem.
