Review: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Graphic Novel
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Graphic Novel is a nice adaptation of the film aimed at young readers #Comics #ComicBooks #StarWars
As long as I can remember Star Wars has always been part of my life. As I can remember one of my uncles remarking about the first time he met me and my cousins, and we were all decked out in the franchise’s pajamas. So because I was born in the 70s, I have had to endure the lifelong pain of wanting more from that universe, and it only being satiated in the last 20 years. As I was one of the many…

So this is the first I’ve heard of this (and what a pleasant surprise it is!) but apparently a NEW graphic novel is coming out next month, April 4th, 2017, and it’s, ta-da, the Prequel Trilogy, aimed at kids between 8-12. If you recognize this at all, perhaps you’ve seen the Trilogy edition, which came out last year? (Look Here) But, I admit I wasn't even aware of that, however this Prequel one is more up my alley.
This hardcover edition will include all three movies. Curiously, Disney has already published some of it’s contents. The Attack of the Clones book had a paperback release back in September 2016. I do not know if it’s a sample or the complete movie. I’ve even found one available listing for it on Ebay. I cannot afford to buy this myself but for anyone interested, here it is. The listing also includes a few preview images and I’ve uploaded three of the pages.
Also, there was a french release by Delcourt and this blog posted four HQ digital images. In it, you can see how Padme looks. Coloring is beautiful. I came across the Delcourt Edition for The Phantom Menace too.
In the mean time, I’m going to wait for the April hardcover release or a digital release of this Junior Graphic Novel. And when I do get it, I will make an effort to post all of the content if by then no one else has.
Wookieepedia has a small article for the novel already, here. Artwork: Davide Turotti | Igor Chimisso | Ken Shue | Stefano Attardi | Matteo Piana x x x .
I’ve got to say, I was already impressed with the artwork on the covers, so cute! But I looked up Matteo’s work, and it’s flipping gorgeous! Guys, you’re going to love it. Here’s a large preview of a scene with Padme and Anakin in it. The facebook posts are smaller in size, but showed samples in color.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Graphic Novel Adaptation
Written by Alessandro Ferrari
Art by Ken Shue, Robert Santillo, Marco Ghiglione, Manny Mederos, Stefano Attardi, Davide Turotti, Eric Jones, Matteo Piana, Igor Chimisso
5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Synopsis:
The Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon, is nearing completion, and the Rebel Alliance may be doomed. Enter Jyn Erso, daughter of the Death Star’s reluctant creator, who desperately seeks to save her father from Imperial control. On her quest, she’ll join forces with Rebel spy Cassian Andor, reprogrammed Imperial droid K-2SO, and other supporters of the Rebel cause, only to discover that their goals may differ crucially from her own. It all culminates in a saga-defining showdown on the tropical planet Scarif, with Jyn and her friends attempting to steal the Death Star’s plans and keep hope for the Rebellion alive, leading directly into the iconic opening scene of Star Wars: A New Hope.
My Review:
Loved this.
I think Rouge One is the best Disney era Star Wars movie made thus far. Yup I said it. I like the characters, I like the story, love the movie. For a graphic novel adaptation that’s seventy two pages long I think they did a good job translating the story we saw on screen. It’s condensed for sure, but the major beats and emotional impacts are all there for us to relive again. Nice to see this story told from a comic book viewpoint. The artwork is great. Good for the whole family. This Rogue One Graphic Novel Adaptation is from IDW. Marvel has a six part adaptation of Rogue One as well.

Review: Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Graphic Novel Adaptation
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Graphic Novel Adaptation is a great adaptation that captures the best part of this film classic. #Comics #ComicBooks #StarWars
As fan of the original trilogy of Star Wars movies, I have always wondered how George Lucas would continue his vision. As the movies were so iconic and more than a watermark as what one would consider science fiction. As it created a whole new era of space operas, a mark that would change the direction of the blockbuster movies. There was nothing like it before. So when he created the prequel…
