y'all, I made the mistake of revealing that I write fanfiction as a hobby, and when asked about the fandoms I write for, I broke it down as I know best: into cliques. I realize I might be shaking the table but it is what it is.

This is what I said for CoD (I've since add some more stuff):

You got the forever war between Gaz Nation and Gaz Deniers. May or may not be rooted in his attractiveness as a person of color, opinions vary (read: it most definitely is). Bonus points if the racism comes out in full force. DOUBLE/TRIPLE those points if it's expressed using butchered ass AAVE. 🥴

You got the Masked Men Lovers Brigade of which König, Ghost, and Keegan are the patron saints and arguably the holy trinity.

You got the Peepaw Price Lovers who absolutely adore his chonky cheeks, peepaw mannerisms, lumberjack body complete with the slutty waist, and relative long-suffering thanks to the shenanigans of the rest of the crew.

You got the Soap Suds who, I think, have found that relative balance between Johnny being a destructive-as-all-hell force to be reckoned with and the quintessential golden retriever boyfriend. His VA doesn't make it any better apparently lmao.

You got the Ghost lovers who've pretty much diversified him so he can run the gamut of Daddy Dom Extraordinaire™, Babygurl™, Sassy Simon™, and the list is endless. What IS consistent is that someone parked a dump truck on that ass and he has some big ole titties. There's also the subset of people who REALLY, REALLY love Ghost but also think his VA is ugly (which he isn't) while simultaneously thinking that he (Ghost) is supposed to be David Gandy levels of immaculate despite being in active combat. Make it make sense.

There's the Gravediggers who, for the most part, acknowledge their love-hate relationship with Graves and I think that is both hilarious and endearing.

You have the Kult of Köthulhu, König's devoted followers who have allowed him to transcend his gremlin nature to become the long-lost progeny of Cthulhu. Move the fuck over, Cthylla. I kid but he, like Ghost, has also been diversified in terms of his portrayal. And no, he's not a part of 141. Some followers of His Gremliness are also embroiled in a forever war with Gaz Nation so please be safe out there, y'all.

You got the Valeria girlies who want her to sit on their faces. I don't blame them. Please do.

You have the Los Vaqueros crew who need more love shown to them and Pony by Ginuwine is their official theme song thanks to Alejandro Thee Stallion. The less said about the butchered Spanish I've read in some fics, the better.

There's also the Farah Fanatics who rightfully adore her and deserve their flowers just like the rest of the cliques.

There's the Keller Kollective who, I think, tends to intersect with the Farah Fanatics. This lot also deserves their flowers because Keller is a sub absolutely underrated as a character. You'd also be forgiven for thinking he and Price are elated.

You also got the Horangi Horde who, just like Gaz Nation, will RISE TF UP. I think. Hopefully. lmao

And then there's the self-righteous crew who, for whatever reason, seem to think they're above it all and love to police writers on what they write and how they write the characters (we're talking in terms of rather innocuous subjects in the grand scheme of things; the sus shit absolutely needs to be and should be called out). Interestingly enough, this group also seems to forget that they're in the same damn boat by being in the fandom, consuming, and writing about the same characters. The ones who have all the energy but none of the courage even if they say or think they do. Bonus points if they also move like fans. Double/Triple those points if they, too, also use butchered-ass AAVE to make their points. 🥴

The girlies who can't separate fiction from reality and insist on harassing the VAs and their significant others and families because how DARE they have a regular degular life outside of *checks notes* their job. Baby, it was never gonna be you. It will never. be. you.

Would they dismiss the question only to talk about it in private? Who would they choose? Since I know every couple is different…Would they jokingly agree to have a Celebrity pass (not that any of them would actually do anything) or would the feel uncomfortable even having that conversation? / Same for T&C

I kind of want to write fics for this... or at least HC's, since time is limited and I have a lot to write... but this could be soooo much fun.

But let me answer your questions for now.

Would they respond there?

E/K: Yes. Ethan might be a little put-off, unless he had a glass or two of Scotch (and he always has a glass or two) - so he'd be fine lol

T/C: They probably started the conversation.

Who would they choose?

Ethan: I HC that he has a mad crush on Shakira, so she's definitely on the list. I also believe he is a Kate Upton fan, and we've discussed his crush on Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) on Friends, so they'll be included too. I say he'd round that off with Halle Berry and Eliza Gonzalez.

Kaycee: I've always HC'd that Kaycee had a crush on Jesse Williams, which ticks Ethan off because he says he looks like Tobias, but Kaycee says Ethan is crazy. lol So he's on the list. Her other biggest crushes are Andrew Garfield, Grace Holley, Harry Styles, and Zendaya. (I want to go to that party.)

Tobias: The man has it bad for Sofia Vergara. She's at the top of the list. He and Ethan both lusted over Shakira back in med school (and had a bet about who she'd be more interested in.) So she's on it. He's also including his first crush ever, Sanna Lathan, and he's rounding out his list with Jessica Chastain and Jessica Alba.

Casey: Now I have two things, in HC she has a mad crush on Gandy and doesn't get why everyone says he looks like Ethan, and in DTI, she has a mad crush on Dr. Avery but insists he doesn't look like Tobias. lol So we're going to put David Gandy and Jesse Williams on her list! Also on her list? Natalie Portman, Jessica Chastain and Michael B. Jordan.

Tobias gets VERY excited that Jessica Chastain is on both their lists... and he may make a suggestion or two... 😂😂

In reality, none of them would do anything even if afforded the opportunity... but it makes for some fun banter (and in T/C's case, some fun roleplay! 😂😂😂)

How did you choose your MC’s FC?

Was it the first pick or did you have someone else in mind?

Does the FC’s personality match your MC’s?

Is there was no David Gandy (god forbids) who would you choose as your Ethan’s FC?

My search for Tiffany’s face claim took a while and it was an entire journey! The goal was to find someone who resembles my green-eyed pixel doctor and has that special vibe.

Back when I was a fandom lurker, I picked Eliza Cummings, but I wasn’t sold—something just didn’t feel right and there was barely any content to choose from.

Here’s a pic that made me think of T, don’t ask me why it’s still on my phone, I have no clue ksbskbskb

So the search continued! I tried to cast Genelle Seldon, but I immediately abandoned the thought because she’s too influencer to step into Tiffany’s shoes, and I kinda gave up on the face claim contest after that.

Then I stumbled upon Jessica Lowndes on IG…Apart from realizing that she’s the iconic Adrianna Tate-Duncan from 90210, I almost fainted from the excitement because I instantly knew that I FOUND TIFFANY.

This gif sealed the deal, her smile just screams Tiff ❤️

I was looking for a gorgeous, versatile face that can be both menacingly hot and insanely cute, beautiful like a flower, fragile like a bomb—that sort of thing, and I believe that Miss Jessica is a perfect embodiment of my vision (especially in her pre-30 era).

The more I got to know JL, the more I was convinced that she’s the one and only choice:

Jessica and DG have actually met, I was blessed with a photograph of the two being literally E&T

She’s a huge Boston Red Sox fan

She played a doctor once (she wore scrubs for like 2 minutes on screen, but let’s ignore that, I have my screenshots jsvksvskvskv)

She likes Marvel and even owns a Thor t-shirt—T’s fav MCU movie is Thor: Ragnarok

Personality-wise, it’s hard to say since I haven’t been following JL’s career for long enough, but my bet is that they’re fundamentally different. However, they seem to share unlimited positive energy, fierce determination and they’re both successful at multitasking.

Though Jessica’s fashion style differs from Tiffany’s, there’s a wide variety of content and I’m always able to find what I need for edits or manips. In addition, JL & DG look absolutely perfect together, I’m obsessed with them 🥹

You killed me with the last question, dear 😂 Truth be told, I’ve seen a lot of Grumpsey’s alternative face claims, and yet I have never found any other living creature whose vibe would match Ethan’s, so if DG would be off the table, my Ethan would share Bryce’s fate—too good to be represented by an actual human being kshkdhdkhdk

How did you choose your MC’s FC?

It was mostly vibe based. I didn't try to find someone who looks like the game version, because I knew finding someone like that was gonna be difficult. So instead I followed my vision of what I wanted her to look like and everything I wanted her to be.

Was it the first pick or did you have someone else in mind?

Mithila Palkar wasn't my first pick actually. When I first played Open Heart I always imagined my MC to be Prajakta Koli.

I loved her! I followed her YouTube advently watched all of her videos and idolized her. So she was my obvious first choice. Honestly it's through her that I came to know of Mithila Palkar and then started watching her works : Girl in the City, Little Things, etc. And then I became a fan of Mithila as well. So when I started writing Meera and devoloping her background and characteristics basically converted Meera from just a character to my brainchild, I could see Prajakta not fitting the bill. It was difficult, honestly, when you are envisioning someone for so long, to suddenly jump wagons. It took me time to adjust and get comfortable. But to honor my first choice of FC I made Prajakta the FC for Ritu, Meera's Best friend!

Does the FC’s personality match your MC’s?

To some extent absolutely! Dare I say that was my primary reason of not going with Prajakta, she felt too light and easy to me. I wanted someone fun and carefree but also who gets really uptight and stubborn about their wants and needs. Honestly Little things sealed the deal for me. Mithila's character Kavya is a slightly closer envisionment to Meera than she herself is lol. 😂

Is it hard to find content?

Sometimes, yes. I think the major problem that I find is most of Mithila's pictures are in Indian wear or ofcourse set in India. And as much as I love portraying my and Meera's culture through my works, it's after all set in Boston and hence sometimes it doesn't work out. Yet I wouldn't trade it for the world, or change to a non Desi FC.

Is there was no David Gandy (god forbids) who would you choose as your Ethan’s FC?

Well before joining the fandom and knowing about the existence of DG I had a very clear picture of Ethan Ramsey, another doctor with blue eyes for whom I am ready to get on my knees any day, any time. 🥵

My love towards Stephen Strange or Benedict Cumberbatch or Sherlock Holmes still remains the same 🤤 but there is no better Ethan than DG and I take no criticism.

A/N: Merry Christmas! This is my first OH post on Tumblr. (A bit nervous 😬) It's Ethan and Tessa's first Christmas as a couple. Ethan had his plans for their first Christmas together something a bit naughty but Tessa had planned something nice for them to do together.

A/N 2: Quick FC intros for Ethan Ramsey and Tessa Martinez .. My Ethan Ramsey is none other than Mr. David Gandy. Tessa Martinez FC is Actress Inbar Lavi.

Ethan couldn’t remember that last time he had Christmas off. Not that he’d mind working on the holiday, typically his father would come and spend his free time with him, then Ethan would return home to spend the rest of Christmas alone. But this year, this year was different.

The soft hum of the heater fills the quietness of their home, the warm air blowing out. Walking barefoot down the hallway towards the bedroom, a smile comes across his face as he moved closer to the open door of their room. Yeah, this year was definitely different.

Tessa laid under the blankets in a deep sleep, she hadn’t woken up when he had gotten up from bed or when he got home in the early hours that morning.

Leaning against the doorway, Ethan crossed his arms over his bare chest, he was content in all aspects of his life, especially his love life. It was new to him, he finally welcomed it. And it was all because of her.

The sunlight that peaked through the window danced across the covers as she began to stir. When Ethan got the chance, he would watch her, it was a perfect way to start the day. He didn’t want to wake her. But knowing Tessa, if she slept in she wouldn’t be too happy about it. Better him wake her then the alarm she had set up.

Looking down, he let out a sigh, he wanted to spend part of the morning together before heading to his father’s house. But Tessa had other plans for them.

“We will be together. All day in fact.”

She had pointed out when he had brought it up. That’s not what he had meant. Ethan looked up when he felt eyes on him, he smiled when he saw the most beautiful hazel eyes he had ever seen staring at him.

“You still grumpy about today Mr. Grinch.”

He let out a chuckle.

“No, I’ve warmed up to the idea. But please don’t call me Mr. Grinch, at least not in front of Tobias and Bryce again. I got enough smack from them when you called me that.”

He was pretty sure they didn’t need to hear her call him that for them to call him that to his face.

“I meant that with all the love in the world. And you know that story has a happy ending.”

Tessa giggles as she sits up in bed, her dark hair in a bun with a few strands framing her face. In her defense she hadn’t notice Tobias and Bryce when she called him that. She knew deep down Ethan was caring and would enjoy what was planned for today.

Her laugh turns into a mischievous smile as she takes in the sight in front of her. Ethan was standing there in only pajama bottoms. Fanning herself with her hand, feeling all hot and bothered.

“Like something you see Rookie?”

Tessa nods and tilts her head and grins at him.

“If The Grinch had a happy ending then there is hope for my day to have one as well.”

“Ethan!”

Tessa tosses a pillow towards him but it fails to reach him, hitting the floor in front of him. Bending down, Ethan picks up the pillow and playfully tosses it back at her. Quickly walking and jumping on the bed, he hears Tessa squeal with delight.

“Mind in the gutter. Nice to know where your mind is.”

She quickly throws the covers over her.

“Ethan!”

"Oh no! There is no hiding Tess. Come here." Ethan calls out before lifting the same covers over him.

“What has gotten into you?" Tessa giggles. Loving at how playful Ethan is this morning.

The warmth of her body warms him as he takes her into his arms. Careful not to give her the full weight of his body as he settles on top of her. He presses his lips against hers as he lifts the blanket off and over their head.

Tessa pecks the tip of his nose with a kiss. She wraps her arms around him, her fingertips running along the bare of his back.

“Hi.” She whispers.

“Hi.”

Ethan moves the strands of hair that covered her face. She had a smile on her face that brought him a feeling no words could describe or give it justice. He was falling in love with her more as each day passed, something he didn’t know was possible.

“What?”

Tessa scrunches her face with worry.

“Hmm..nothing.”

Ethan leans down placing another kiss on her lips.

“I don’t believe you Ramsey.”

“Well. I was just thinking that there maybe hope for this grinch after all.” He winks at her.

Ethan continues to kiss her, moving from her lips to her chin, along her jawline down the side of her neck. Ethan nuzzles against the crook of her neck, taking in her scent.

“I meant that as a..”

“Hate.” He interrupts her, with a kiss on her neck.

“Hate”

Ethan places another kiss a bit lower.

“Hate? Why are you saying ha..”

Ethan kisses her all over after each time repeating the same word, that is when Tessa understood the reference and she laughed.

“Have I told you how incredible you look in my shirt.” He says against her skin.

“Mmm.. and you complete the look by looking so damn sexy in the bottoms.”

Tessa played with the waistband of his pajama bottoms, then grabbing his ass. A groan escapes from Ethans lips, running his hand along her leg and wrapping it around his waist.

“Keep it up and I’ll give us a good reason to cancel our plans and stay in.”

“Promise?” She kisses his shoulder. “Or maybe we could just be late.”

Tessa begins to undo the buttons of the navy blue pajama shirt she had on, the soft material sliding off her skin. Ethan covers her mouth with his, their kisses becoming hunger as each second passed.

Ethan runs his hand down her body, tugging at the waistband of her panties.

beep…beep..beep..beep

The alarm on the nightstand begins to go off, stopping him from going any further. Dropping his head and letting out a groan, Ethan stretches over and turns off the alarm.

Tessa cups the side of Ethans face, he leans into her hand as she runs the pad of her thumb against the scruff of his beard.

“We need to start getting ready. They will be waiting for us.”

“Do we have to? I thought I was giving a very convincing reason to stay.”

“As tempting as this is and it’s a very, very good reason to stay, we need to get up.”

“Ok.”

“Ethan. You know how important this is for them, especially today of all days.”

“I know I know. You know how much I love that you care about bringing a smile to the children at Edenbrook, but I do have a name to live up to.”

Ethan chuckles and rolls onto his side of the bed as he watches Tessa toss the cover towards the end of the bed, leaning over to him, she places one last kiss on his lips before getting up.

“I love you.”

“And I you.”

“Tess! Tessa! Come on Rookie! What is this?”

Hearing Ethan make his way into the kitchen where she had made them a quick breakfast while Ethan got ready.

She didn’t want to turn and face him, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

“I’m not wearing it.”

Ethan holds out the two items she left on the bed for him to wear. Waiting for her to turn around and face him.

“It’s Christmas!”

Tessa tried to hold in her laugh as she turned around and saw the ‘ugly Christmas sweater’ she had bought him in one hand and the Santa hat in the other. In fairness it wasn’t ugly, it was a decorated Christmas tree and it said I ❤️ X-mas. It was the closes thing she and Bryce could find that reminded them of the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas, she couldn’t wait to show him what it did.

“No.”

Ethan shook his head. He was not going to wear this at the hospital. He doubted that the others were wearing one. He should have known it was going to be more than just simply handing out gifts, decorating cookies and reading Christmas stories to the kids.

“Please?” She bats her eyes at him. “It’s cute, the kids will love it. And the Christmas tree lights up.”

“I’ll wear the Santa hat but that’s it. This thing is hideous.”

Laughing as she closes the space between them. Tessa wraps her arms around his neck and looks up at him, his blue eyes looking down at her. Ethan instantly pulls his arms around her, pressing her closer to him.

“It is called an ugly Christmas sweater for a reason. And it's not that bad. Bryce had another one in mind but we had to remind him that you two were wearing them in front of children.”

“The scalpel jockey picked this out?”

“Yeah. Sienna thought it would be a great idea if one of you dressed up as Santa and we knew you wouldn’t be up for that at all, so Tobias is dressing up as Santa. And I came up with the idea for the sweaters and hat.”

Letting out a sigh, Ethan just shakes his head. Unwrapping themselves from each other, Tessa pulls back, taking the sweater from him.

“Try it on. It’ll look..”

“Hideous. You know it, I know it.”

“Better this than green tights and an elf costume.”

Tessa laughs as she begins to help Ethan into the sweater.

“See not so bad.”

Taking the Santa hat from him, Tessa places it on his head fixing it just right. Leaning up and placing a kiss on his lips.

Reaching under the hem of the sweater, she found the switch and turn it on. White lights on the tree came on then switching to blue, and then to red and finally green before starting over.

“Perfect.” She said.

“Not perfect, but yes slightly better than looking like an elf.”

“Next years will play music.”

Pinching the bridge of his nose, he just shook his head, Tessa laughed at his well known expression. He couldn’t help but smile, if looking like this made her happy he would gladly put up with it.

“Ok. I’ll wear this ugly thing. But Lahela better be wearing one too and Carrick better be dressed to a T as Santa! Fat suit, white beard and all.”

“And his heart grew three sizes that day”

Ethan laughed pressing her closer into him. “I might have to get that checked out.”

“Ever the Doctor.”

Cupping the side of her face, Ethan kissed her on the tip of her nose, hugging her tightly. She rested her head against his chest, returning his embrace. They both stayed in each other arms, until Ethan spoke.

“Come on Tess. The longer we stay like this, I come up with more reasons to really take this sweater off and spend today how I would have planned it.”

“As long as you leave the hat on.”

“The hat, really? Good to know.”

Feeling Ethan laugh against her, Tessa looks up at him, the lights from the sweater flicker in the blue of his eyes. Their lips meeting, kissing each other tenderly.

“Merry Christmas Ethan.”

“Merry Christmas Rookie.”
