So, I've been doing some thinking. This could either be a meaningless little ramble that no one will care about, or something seen as really dangerous and putting a target on my back.

So, what if we, those most weary of the far right created an international group of activists in light of the US election? See, the thing is that Donald Trump and Elon Musk are very dangerous, but they are also very incompetent and could lead the government down a path that weakens it. It could create a very unique opportunity to address the far right problem and the US Imperialist system itself in one go. Or maybe I'm being overly ambitious.

This group I have in mind would have several purposes, such as keeping communities safe and protecting people from the harm the far right would do in the name of winning the election. Or, most importantly of all, connecting activists from all over the world and allowing us to dismantle the system as a concrete and united movement. Maybe it's just me being naive and hopeful, but maybe it's also something we've all wanted deep down but been too afraid to initialise? If so, maybe this is a sign to really stand up and start trying to make those connections.

Cerise Cephinne is an apothecary of the Brume, stocking both beneficial and detrimental products. He was once part of a lowborn family that mistreated him to gain the appreciation of any noble that would look their way. One night, sick of the treatment, he slipped a vial of liquid into his parents’ coffee that had them perish as he fled, changing his identity along the way. The Brume became his home in the absence of one, and he quickly took an interest in brewing substances for various purposes. Eventually, he opened an apothecary business with a darker side focus, selling deadly products that allow the corrupt to be secretly picked off. Cerise enjoys other questionable activities, including document forging for his false identity and brewing his own hormones. He collects trinkets, sometimes for himself and other times to sell; his storefront displays an assortment of items he finds interesting. He isn’t picky in what fun he decides to have otherwise, and is used to low quality Brume goods. As for his personality, he frequently acts sweet, even when hired to pursue a target. Playful, doting, overbearing, what have you – Cerise loves to play on innocent appearances. He is very tall, towering above others with long Elezen proportions and a slightly soft figure. In a strong androgynous tone, his voice is projected with a distinct Brume accent.

Apothecary services, selling his products mostly to fellow lowborn Ishgardians. He enjoys helping others, and will accept unconventional payments or even give them out for free. Only the beneficial of his products are stocked upfront, and one needs to be knowledgeable enough in Ishgard's rumours to hear of a Brume apothecary with poisons behind his counter…

A dweller of the Brume, he frequents lower Ishgard, and often ventures out to Coerthas, typically in search of materials. It’s very possible for any Ishgardian or visitor to run into him. Occasionally, he visits other city-states depending on funds.

Dreisseaux de Drelejon is a minor noble hailing from a strict family loyal to House Dzemael. They attended Saint Endalim’s Scholasticate in their youth after being expelled from gladiator training, their house’s traditional class. Dreisseaux has always been adept with animals, spending time late at night around the chocobo stables of Ishgard to unwind and finding themself drawn to the karakuls in Ishgardian paddocks and Coertha’s snowy fields. Some time after their graduation, Dreisseaux obtained a small home away from their traditional life, in which they would have room to raise a small number of animals for themself and tend to various projects. Dreisseaux enjoys singing, reading, gardening, dancing, and cooking in their free time. They are easily pleased by tea and pastries, and often sing when they are alone. They spend a significant amount of time gardening and gathering all types of plants. A pet karakul named Guimauve tends to follow them around. They can be timid in certain situations due to their noble religious upbringing, and generally possess a gentle, polite demeanour, alongside expressing a devout belief in Halone. Their family’s traditional practices had them speaking Old Elezen at home, and they retain a thick accent when speaking in Common. They have a slender build, and plenty of pink freckles everywhere.

Any mentioned hobbies and interests, in which they’re easy, passionate company to engage with.

Nobles and other similarities, such as Scholasticate alumni and Dzemael associates. Having grown up attending formal practices, church schooling, and gladiator training – alongside being related to many Dzemael knights – any Ishgardian could find some form of familiarity in Dreisseaux should they share a position.

not me finding out that fandom wikis do not have an api (which is like a specialised ui for programmers that a lot of websites have where you can more directly access resources off the website with programming tools, f.e. if one piece wiki had one, you could tell your coding languages like "hey get all the strawhat pirates' names and heights off their character pages and put them in my database here please" and it would be able to get that info off the wiki for you) so I will have to learn web scraping to get data off there for visualising ship stats project I have planned for my data analysis portfolio instead now smh

actually, because of that secret secret i just read, i’m going to post this thought before i forget about it, actually — for the last few days i’ve been turning over the idea of dan heng x reader where the reader, a chef or at least competent cook, joins the express and works as chef to save everybody from himeko’s… creative dinner plans (inspired by the recent event)… and there’s something about the effortless, easy confidence with which you navigate the kitchen which dan heng admires. it’s an art form of its own, really.

(plus, as i mentioned, everyone loves you because you’re there to step in and lend some guidance when himeko decides it’s her turn to cook…..)

Motorcycle News' Matthew Birt is reporting that Dani Pedrosa will be switching to use Bridgestone tires effective immediately after the Misano race. It was widely anticipated that the Repsol Honda team - or at the very least, Dani Pedrosa's side of the garage - would be switching to the Japanese rubber for next season, after Pedrosa expressed his disgust with Michelin's failures in no uncertain terms after the Brno round. Pedrosa's unhappiness went so far that his manager, Alberto Puig, even tried to organize a boycott of the Brno GP by the Michelin riders, on the rather questionable grounds of safety. Michelin dismissed this claim, saying that the tires may have been off the pace, but there were no safety issues. MCN also revealed that HRC's manager Masumi Hamane was actually behind this attempt. Now, in a shock and unprecedented move, Pedrosa will switch tire brands in the middle of the season. Pedrosa and Repsol Honda organized the deal with Bridgestone and Dorna to allow the Spaniard to make the move immediately. Dorna needed to be involved, as the rules state that the FIM and Dorna must be informed if teams decide to switch tire makers mid-season. Again, according to MCN, only Pedrosa will switch to Bridgestones, with Pedrosa's ostensible team mate Nicky Hayden remaining on Michelins. Switching tires in the middle of the season is extremely risky, with so little data on how the bike will respond on the new rubber. But this decision casts a new light on HRC's decision to give Shinya Nakano a factory-spec Honda RC212V to ride for the rest of the season. The most unusual detail in this decision was that the engine Nakano was provided with was not the pneumatic valve engine, the engine which HRC believes is the future, but rather the steel spring valve version currently being used by none other than Dani Pedrosa. Readers will not be surprised to learn that Shinya Nakano's Gresini Honda team are using Bridgestone tires. So with HRC having access to Nakano's data, Pedrosa will at least not be starting with a blank sheet, as Valentino Rossi was forced to do at the beginning of the season, with no Yamaha ever having run Bridgestones. But unlike Rossi, Pedrosa will be forced to race with very little testing data on the Japanese tires. MCN is reporting that Pedrosa will be using the Bridgestones in a test due to be run at the circuit on Monday. The reasons for Pedrosa's switch are well known. The Spaniard has made no secret of his belief that his tires have prevented him from being competitive this year, and have probably cost him a shot at the championship this season. Tires have definitely been a factor, but it would be foolish to discount the fact that both Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi have been pushing each other to new heights of performance. Ironically, Pedrosa's early switch to Bridgestones may quieten some of the calls for a single tire rule in MotoGP. Of the title candidates, Pedrosa's move leaves only Jorge Lorenzo and potentially Andrea Dovizioso on Michelin tires. If Michelin decide not to pull out of MotoGP, then most, if not all, of the main contenders for the 2009 MotoGP title will be on the same rubber. Next year, it'll be down to the riders, and the bikes again.

I keep seeing posts on here like 'wow I never knew how much info there isn't on the internet' or 'it's scary how much of our information isn't digitized' and a) you're probably wrong about that first part and b) with 'on the internet', they mean 'accessible via google/bing/duckduckgo' and I need people to understand that when information professionals talk about 'the internet' being humanities most ambitious data sharing project or how much scientific info there is to be found 'on the internet', we are talking about the other 80%ish of it. The vast majority of information on the internet will not be found by google because it's in unindexed, specialized, often not freely accessible databases. Like, when you google something, and get a jstore result, and you click over to jstore, a lot of you seem to think you're going Real Deep rn, but actually you are stepping off the stairs at the shallow end of the Olympic swimming pool onto the very first patch of the actual tiles of the pool floor, your hands still firmly on the railing.

also im annoyed with myself for still being so closed off to my own feelings... idk why i do this lol its so stupid, it's thinsg like refusing to play a song that is important to me (the song itself isnt the point just like it makes me feel weird and empty) in front of ben bc i dont want him to hear it (this was a few weeks ago idk why im feeling annoyed about it again now lol) + like feeling unable to ever really play the piano creatively and/or composing music and/or improvising musically without just feeling like fully embarrassed at any kind of Creative Expression lol i guess it's the vulnerability + the opening your true small self up, but literally like. omg... even if im on my own with my piano headphones on i raelly struggle to let myself express myself which is frankly insane and hideously british in the royal family-esque way i fear lol
