One of the hardest things for Darry being Ponyboy's guardian is when he gets in trouble at school.

Like one time the school called him in because Ponyboy got into a fight at lunch with a soc because the dude said something along the lines of "you greasers are on thin ice" and Ponyboy said "at least I can stand on ice, you fat fuck" and they started swinging.

Poor Darry had to sit in front of the principal and act like that wasn't the funniest fucking thing he's ever heard.

The most “boys will be boys” things the gang do

• Steve, Soda, Dally, and Darry stay walking around half naked, ESPECIALLY in the summer. Their shirts are never on. Soda’s jeans are unzipped half the time smh

• as much as they really really try, the Curtis boys are known for leaving their dirty laundry everywhere 😟 no matter how messy they can be though, Two-Bit’s room will always be exponentially worse

• one time Steve and Soda wanted to see who could eat the most chocolate cake so they each ate a whole half of a cake and threw up later

• Johnny do not be washing his clothes 😭😭😭 it’s rly not his fault but Darry will offer to wash up some of his stuff with Ponyboy’s and Johnny will be like “no thank you it’s not that bad 🙂” bros jean jacket probably carries the plague

• they literally don’t stop eating. It’s canon that the Curtis brothers all have big appetites, everyone else is just as bad. Most of their money goes to groceries bc they literally just eat and eat

• Ponyboy tries to lay in bed directly after track practice before showering bc he’s tired and Sodapop is appalled

• so so so many wrestling and football injuries. Pony’s always tripping and falling face first. Steve is a fucking pincher when they’re wrestling so Soda and Two-Bit always have little ass bruises on them from him 💀 during football Johnny is really good at slipping between people bc he can be pretty quick but one time he managed to take Steve down with him and they knocked their heads together

• Dally unfortunately enjoys driving around and yelling obscenities when he has Buck’s car. No one is off limits. He’ll trail behind Johnny and be like “ay what that mouth do” and Johnny just lets out the most defeated sigh

• Ponyboy and Curly were each other’s first kiss “for practice” and didn’t rly think much of it until they realized they’d only been kissing each other even tho they didn’t need practice anymore and never tried to get w anyone else 😭😭😭

• if Two-Bit sees any kind of animal worth catching in his mind like an armadillo or some shit he will indeed try to catch it and bring it to the Curtis house and Darry is just like if you don’t get that damn armadillo off my porch

love this deleted scene in general because i love dally and his two little brothers dynamic but what always makes me laugh is johnny trying his best to back them up 😭😭😭😭

him looking over at dally at the beginning like "here we go with this routine again" and then his halfhearted "more seltzer.. needs more seltzer 😕" and getting cut off by dally i can't stop laughing

also pony is so into it like "the health people are gonna CONDEMN this place 🤬" i know once they walked out dally was like "a little heavy on the theatrics this time pony"

Darry is a 20 year old man who works two jobs and still tickles Pony out of bed every morning, eats chocolate cake for breakfast and calls Pony honey. Tfym

Darry can tell who walked into the house depending on the sound of the door. Every member of the gang has an entrance that can be very easily missed.

Dally slams the door open and doesn't bother to close it behind him.

Steve opens the door and then slams it behind him, then goes to bother whoever is closest.

Johnny is almost always following someone so if the door stays open a bit longer and is quietly shut then Johnny has followed them in.

Two-Bit is similar to Steve except he dusts off his shoes. His mama always gets onto him tracking dirt so it's a habit.

Ponyboy quietly opens the door and shuts it behind him and usually calls out a I'm home. Or he's completely quiet except for the fact he stomps without realizing it.

Sodapop is almost always excited when he gets home so he accidentally slams the door into the wall and apologizes. He also usually announces he's home.

Darry just wishes they would stop slamming the door, it hurts the door and he's not exactly itching to fix the hinges.

PONYBOY CURTIS

He’s a shy guy and he wont kiss you that often, because pda makes him embarrassed

So when you kiss him out of the blue AND you’re wearing a lipgloss that tastes so good he’s literally blushing out of his mind.

He def will ask you if its edible because he doesn’t want it near his mouth it if it isnt

When you say yes, he’s pressing small kisses to your lips because he wants to

JOHNNY CADE

Is not much of a PDA person but will do it occasionally, this was one of those times.

He kissed you and immediately noticed your flavoured lipgloss.

He just smiled at you because he didn’t know what to say

Now you know to wear that lip gloss more often.

SODAPOP CURTIS

He’s a flirt, he’s obviously kissing you, often when you least expect it, just to get a reaction out of you.

After he kissed you he wiped your lipgloss from his lips while teasing you but then he tasted it a little

He’s laughing and telling you to wear it more often

Def leads to a little make-out session where at the end your lipgloss is totally smeared and everywhere.

STEVE RANDLE

Finds it really funny to ruin your lipgloss, whether it be from smearing it with his thumb, bumping you while your reapply or kissing you over and over

When he kisses you out of the blue, he’s so shocked that you had flavoured lipgloss.

He asked you who you were wearing it for and you rolled your eyes and said him

He’s ruining your lipgloss all the way after that

TWO-BIT MATHEWS 

He actually got a couple of lipglosses for you and asked you to wear them

Little did he know they’re actually flavoured. 

You picked his favorite flavour and kissed him and hes floored

He asked where you got them from and you remind him that he did. He’s so happy with himself

DARRY CURTIS

Tries his best not to kiss you a lot because he has to put up a stoic front and cant be caught lacking

So when he finally does kiss you, albeit a short peck, and his favorite flavour is on your lips he’s actually got a small blush dusting his cheeks.

The whole day he’s just staring at your lips and stealing kisses from you

So much so that you think he has more lipgloss on his lips that you do by the end of the day

DALLAS WINSTON

He’s ok with PDA, its something he does when hes bored.

He presses a quick kiss to your lips and suddenly its an intense make out because he’s tasting his favorite flavour 

Is definitely grossing out everyone who sees him because he’s literally obsessed with it.
