The Dark Arts
In life the ice you skate on will not always be smooth but overtime it makes you stronger
Knowing the hidden order that fools the fools,
Through my example people are improved,
My magic concealed,
Through my illusion of insanity they are fooled thinking I'm the fool,
But what they don't tell you is that craziness is the twin of greatness, words are spells,
But who taught you them who created this.  I unsubcribe.  I have the formula,
It takes balance to dance at the edge,
The end is a beginning and the beginning an end in an infinite sequence,
Release the restraints,
Refute all limits,
I can do quintuple jumps in figure skating and have mastered quad axel,
Not dependent on any outcome I switch over to the cosmological to explain life through stars my ways those of heaven
" Ever desire less one sees the mystery"
- Lao Tzu

Come visit me tonight
Come visit me tonight
(Musing a mite)
Through death’s darkness seek my window tonight
Left open as I listen for the sound of broom-driven flight
Awaiting the glimpse of your charms as you alight
Flesh parting as you take your first skin-breaking bite
Leaving two drops of blood on my neck soft and white
With those lengthened two teeth shining so bright
Fear not, from love-sucking fangs I shall not take fright
Your stardust-driven eyes seeking further, that’s only polite
Seduced by raven-haired pleasure I see your delight
Your frolics leave me flushed when you find a new site
An adventurous tongue in exciting seems sure to incite
My resistance was futile submission without fight
Your mystical sense of my coming revealed in foresight
Wild whispered suggestions when you know that I might
I was in love with your figure from the very first sight
So beautifully formed not skimpy and slight
I felt the crush of your breasts when you held me tight
The strength of your thighs, (there was no cellulite)
Wrapping your legs around me so I did not take flight
You have awoken my dreams I fly high like the kite
Those alluring temptations will always be my plight

In the Romantic Russian-language poem, Satan is presented as a tragic anti-hero - a Byronic* hero born from the Romantic characterisation of the devil. That's the big 'R' Romantic of the C18th literary/intellectual/artistic movement, not the little 'r' of love, which, confusingly, is a subject of 'The Demon'... Depictions of the devil, Hirst suggests, are based more so on literature than the Bible (which is arguably also literature, but that's a separate discussion I don't wish to instigate), because so few descriptions of the fallen angel exist in the "good book." In contrast, Dante's 'The Divine Comedy' (1472) and Milton's 'Paradise Lost' (1667) paint vivid monstrous and sublime portraits of the figure, respectively. If you've not read them, they're better than "good books" - they're epic poems 😏. The works of both poets have had such great influence upon following literary representations of the devil, including Lermontov's, that Satan can be seen as the archetypal poetic anti-hero. 🧐: If you need help finding the lecture on YouTube or 'The Devil' to read online, just let me know. *More on Byron another day. 📸: Detail, 'Tamara in the Coffin', Mihály Zichy (c.1880), in the State Lermontov Museum Tarkhany collection. . #darkpoetics #poetry #thedemon #religion #religious #lermontov #russianpoetry #romanticism #theromantics #theenlightenment #history #18thcentury #europeanliterature #europeanhistory #russianpoetry #generallygothic #gothic #books #bookstagram #darkacademia #darkacademiaaesthetic #spookynerd #romanticart #russianart #milton #dante #paradiselost #byron #dantesinferno #thedivinecomedy https://www.instagram.com/p/B-s-C6GA-TT/?igshid=1hfw3dmd99516

Isaac
I’ve been born from your rib cage, but I died in your water.
I lay down on your altar and I give up my Isaac. For you I would leave him, my love. But you were no saviour, with three heads you left me undone. You devoured my heart and my lungs.
Still I sacrifice all of my love.

Cyclic
Lush greenery keeping my mind away albeit the familiar taste my witch haze remains the same attuned to spiritual union of plant and man,
My name will be Immortal because I know the quad axel is inside of me,
Not falling in line with the implicate order,
The ice calls me, whispers that I've already downloaded everything I need and even more from the collective unconscious,
Pierce the veil of  linear time, let the synchronitys begin that exist when past present and future swirl and collide within,
I know I'll win: still in my hometown at one with cosmic dust I've become spinning up a new Sun,
Soon a star, I the most high; a new vantage point will be my life looking down from the top of a burning mountain I never sigh again,
Wait which dimension is this?
Delta means change, I turn a page in the I Ching,
Fool you mess with a Taoist lunatic magician!

INCUBO
Nightmares of
Loving criminal brains .
Toxic figures, screaming near my ears .
Rainy days are scary .
"Should you borrow me once?"
I still believe ,those eyes with blazing gig.
One more night , same creature
Biting boring , leaving burning scars .
Ruined love.
Now,Scream and shout ,
As loud you can .
Violine on high!
Love is Sponge .
killing my nerves ,attacking my heart every seconds.
He was like demonic angel .
Crossing line , saying
"Your skin is too kind :
Flesh and blood breads "
He dragged me into his fairy-flame :open ribcages.
Slowly ,
With a kiss he hides his sins.
Whispering again "now disappear, it's dawn".
I survived .

hello?
You cant hear me at all, can you? I knew it... This time of day is filled to the brim with static noise and aesthetics. It was suggested to me once To wait. Until the moment the sun hit the East Coast’s empty linear horizon. But progress can’t wait for dusk, and injustice does not occur by convenience. LUCKILY WE WIELD BLADES THAT CUT STATIC LIKE A BUTTER KNIFE THROUGH ITS NAMESAKE! .

A Poem For All To Read
A shifting light of reality Shines through my Bared Window,
My eyes soak in this twisted array of light,
A fractured mind trying to decipher truth from confusion,
Thinking of all things as I bleed,
My mind is telling me,
The light is your reality,
Just step in and you will be freed
Yet here I still bleed... when will this all end for me!

Vegvary, known on here as @skull.theatre. Intriguingly entitled 'Break This Chrysalis Open and Extract My Embrionic Soul', it is a striking snapshot of long spanning conflict, filled with gothic imagery and the dirty fingerprints of religion. Above is a snippet of the poem, which can be read in full at generallygothic.com. In addition to the artwork selected here, the blog post is accompanied by a gallery of pieces that, for various reasons, related to my reading of Vegvary's words. I would love to know what you see in her words, and which artwork best represents that - a little reverse-ekphrasis if you want to get fancy about it (which I, for one, do!). 🔗: Link to 'Break This Chrysalis Open and Extract My Embrionic Soul' in bio. 🙏Thank you for sharing your work with us, @skull.theatre!🖤 🕷 📮: If you'd like to see your creative work here - be it factual, fictional, art, poetry, stories, essays, etc. - get in touch, or submit through the website. 🕷 📸: 'The Infant Morning', Agostino Arrivabene, (2015), via @dailyartmagazine . #darkpoetics #generallygothic #gothic #poetry #poetsofig #evegvary #skulltheatre #submission #writer #writerspotlight #dailyart #art #agnostinoarrivabene #darkart #darkacademia #spookynerd #bookstagram #aseparateworld #openforsubmissions #callforsubmissions #indiepublisher #artforartssake #callforwriters #callforartists #emergingartists #supportindie #blogger https://www.instagram.com/p/B_lUdm-AaHU/?igshid=1jwor68eg6zbg
