Just to be clear, while I do enjoy analyzing the show and writing content about it, I'm at the point where I don't take it seriously at all. To me I just treat it like a Fire and Blood fanfic that someone somehow had enough money to film. So while sometimes I take things I enjoy about the show into how I characterize the different characters, I really don't pay much attention to the decisions as being "canon."

There is an old man there. He calls him prince. The old man is dying and the servants have a greed in their eyes that Viktor knows well, he was seen it enough on the streets of Zaun

A hunger for more after years of scraps while in the shadows of prosperity

He could fight them, poison them even. The trouble such actions may bring to him would be worth for his sole survival in the long run. But he is not alone in here.

There is a girl. Not older than a toddler.

Dany. His new sister.

The choice is easy really. So there he goes, a staff made from one of the thicker branches of the lemon tree in the front yard (he misses his cane turned staff. Even with both legs functioning, he missed the weight in his hand. And, as the undercity had shown him, having something that you could use as a range weapon was always a good thing) in the dead of the night to steal as much food and coin he can carry with him

He takes one of the fabrics with him so he can wrap it around the tiny girl that is now his responsibility. He wraps her to his back, her tiny body flush against him. Alive, close, protected.

She nuzzles closer to his neck, her tiny hands on his shoulders.

He knows her for only a day and he would destroy the world for her

When he goes back to his world (because he would find a way back) he would be taking her with him

A staff, a purse of coins, a bag with food and a toddler on his back

That’s how the first assassin sent by King Robert finds them

That’s the last thing said assassin sees before the young prince stabs him, hits him in the head with the staff and drops him in the river

Viktor grew up in Zaun. An assassin had to do way better than that if they wanted to off him. Especially because he was fighting for someone besides himself

She had a headache. It sat like stone right above her right eyebrow as she paced slowly around the small council table, the words of her advisors washing past. She'd never had headaches before coming to Meereen. Not even imprisoned at the House of the Undying, nor before that half-dead in the Red Wastes, nor before that pregnant and aching all down her back on the Dothraki Sea, nor before that running after Viserys in the streets of the Free Cities with a hungry belly. Only this place brought on the peculiar pain of political frustrations.

Grey Worm and Daario had caught one of the Sons of the Harpy and had thrown him in the cells, and now her small council bickered about the man's life as though it were a debate to be won. She wasn't quite sure why it had given her a headache, in truth; had their positions been reversed and the Sons of the Harpy had caught her instead, she knew full well they would do the same.

Men had argued over her all of her life. Before she had ever been born, there had been men haggling over how best to kill her. She had little sympathy for this Son, but there was a distant sort of...recognition, perhaps.

"Thank you all for your counsel," she said, coming to a halt just behind her own empty chair. "I will think carefully on what is to be done." She waited until everyone had had risen to take their leave before she added, "But I would ask you all a question first." They settled slowly back into their seats — all except Grey Worm at the door, standing guard, ever-watchful. "What crime has this man committed? In Meereenese law, what is he guilty of?"

"Murder," said Mossador and Missandei.

"Treason," said Ser Barristan.

"Conspiracy," said Daario.

"Theft," said Hizdahr.

I hate this show. I hate this show. I hate this show so so much. I’ve written better Star Trek fanfiction at 13 than Condal and Hess could at their old age. Do they not understand that unless the fanfiction is crack, and even then sometimes, it SHOULD be based on their sources materials? Like there’s a reason fanfic writers put ooc!xyz in tags when their own characterizations don’t match up with the source material. And the fact that these buffoons try to make their poor writing choices deliberately ‘alright’ because “it’s the true story!!! Fire and Blood is propaganda!!!!” Makes them juvenile and and completely unserious in their task to adapt a book that has decades of world building supporting it.

They took a look at Rhaena and Dreamfyres stolen eggs, which Jaehaerys had to personally go to bravos to find out where it went, and gave it to Rhaenyra???? Okay. I guess you’re just going to cut off one of the most important plot points in Dany’s arc to prop up your Mary sue white bread heroin. They saw Alicents agency and her being the leading voice in naming her son heir and decided that her childhood friend was worth more than her children. The children that she willingly shed her childhood friends blood for. And I guess everything is a misunderstanding. Hereford everything that went on in GoT is also a misunderstanding!!!!

Catelyn let Jamie go because of a misunderstanding!!!! Jon let the wildlings over the wall because of a misunderstanding! Sansa was mean to Dany because of a misunderstanding! And Baelish creeped on a child because of a misunderstanding!!!!

Fuck condal and Hess so much holy shit I swear I’m done with this show. They even ruined characters I have no feelings on and made me hate them!!! Do you understand how hard it is for me to hate well written characters even if they were villains??? I had no problem with book Rhaenyra. I didn’t like her much but I thought she was compelling but holy shit did these fuck ass writers make me hate her. White bread character embodying everything wrong about white feminism. Literally how tf do any non white feminists aligned person like her????

Magister Illyrio murmured a command, and four burly slaves hurried forward, bearing between them a great cedar chest bound in bronze. When she opened it, she found piles of the finest velvets and damasks the Free Cities could produce…and resting on top, nestled in the soft cloth, three huge eggs.

Dany gasped. They were the most beautiful things she had ever seen, each different from the others, pattern in such rich colors that at first she thought they were crusted with jewels, and so large it took both of her hands to hold one.

She lifted it delicately, expecting that it would be made of some fine porcelain or delicate enamel, or even blown glass, but it was much heavier than that, as if it were all of solid stone.

The surface of the shell was covered with tiny scales, and as she turned the egg between her fingers, they shimmered like polished metal in the light of the setting sun.

One egg was a deep green, with burnished bronze flecks that came and went depending on how Dany turned it. Another was pale cream streaked with gold. The last was black, as black as a midnight sea, yet alive with scarlet ripples and swirls.

“What are they?” she asked, her voice hushed and full of wonder.

“Dragon’s eggs, from the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai,” said Magister Illyrio. “The eons have turned them to stone, yet still they burn bright with beauty.”

“I shall treasure them always.” Dany had heard tales of such eggs, but she had never seen one, nor thought to see one.

It was a truly magnificent gift, though she knew that Illyrio could afford to be lavish. He had collected a fortune in horses and slaves for his part in selling her to Khal Drogo.

smth smth . . . dany is very specifically the moon with all the dreams and wishes and watchfulness and wonder and brightness, but she is also the sun at dawn . . . its rays cracking over the land in shades of pinks, purples, oranges, and yellows. she is the delicious warmth of the dawn that shines upon your body, filling you with the hope of a new day and a path forward, ever-lighting your way. she is that moment when the moon and the sun kiss in the sky.

Personally I loveeeed aegon hatching the eggs at summerhall, can't wait for dany to find out! My girl deserves the joy in knowing her child is not the last dragon :')

YEAH like I noticed a lot of people think Dany is gonna hate Aegon but like, her wanting family is a heavy personal trait of hers. She feels alone so much, to the point she can't even think someone could love a dragon. Her loneliness around being the last Targaryen is a fairly heavy thing she dwells upon so while I've written Dany to be hesitant about him, since she thinks its a trick, but at the same time also hesitantly optimistic. She legit doesn't know what to think at this point but she hasn't gone full 'I will kill him' or anything, she's giving him a chance so when she finds out he has dragons she'll be ecstatic.

(like the reasons she was so aggressive towards him at Godsgrief was because she thought it was a trick, she didn't realize she had legit magically projected in front of him due to the glass candle and even then he was simping for her haha)

But yes, she will be very happy dragons were hatched! Her grief was over screwing up the Citadel mission, since to her Ghidorah was the last dragon still since she doesn't know he's an alien. Even if she does end up fighting Aegon, Dany has already made a vow she'll never kill a dragon even if she must kill the rider.
