2. Are/Were Queens {Rhaena was Aegon "The Uncrowned" Targaryen's Queen Consort, and then one of Maegor I "The Cruel" Targaryen's six Queen Consorts, and Show Sansa is the first Queen In The North}

3. Wanted their brothers {Jaehaerys I Targaryen and Show Jon Snow/Show Aegon Targaryen} to be King of Westeros.

4. Their little brothers {Jaehaerys I Targaryen and Show Brandon Stark} became King Of Westeros.

even though brienne/sansa is my otp and i do 100% believe that they are tethered in the books one way or another, i would never want them to get together romantically in canon if sansa is not an adult (i worry sometimes that i’ve flown too close to the gay rarepair sun bc rhaena and elissa have the same age gap as brienne and sansa and f&b implies they may have first gotten together when elissa was like 14 and rhaena was 20; love rhaelissa but unfortunately idk if that particular age gap squicks grrm out like it squicks me out). without the five year skip, i think it’s unlikely we’ll have the right timeline in the books to see sansa as an adult at all which makes me sad for a number of reasons that i’ve previously blogged about.

one way i could see them working on a not weird timeline in canon is if many years pass and brienne ends serving as a protector for arya, bran, or even rickon. by the time she meets sansa, maybe sansa already has a child or two from being married off and jaime has already met his doom by the narrative. i could see sansa being like, “wait, you were actually looking for me? and you kept my sibling safe? i guess true knights are real.” and then she realizes her true love and true knight is a scarred woman who prefers mail over silks and they have a cute little found family.

i obviously already have my brienne/sansa longfic where sansa is robb’s twin so their age gap is negligible but idk maybe i need to write a oneshot (or twoshot) about this idea.

I really wish I had planned something for Pride Month, but the month just flew me by, and I didn't want to let the month go by and not post at least some Rhaelissa! so here's a sketch!!!

A WIP of a Rhaelissa piece I've been working. I'm really happy with this, and I hope that the finished version does it justice. More about this piece under the cut

Now, a bit about this piece.

It basically took me a month. I started doing it for Pride Month, but life happened, and then, for some unknown reason, when I picked it up again, I decided to study a bit about saddles, and the next thing I knew, I had made a whole study of the history of horse riding in the west (and a bit of Japan too) from roman times to the late 16th century (and appropriate riding clothes to go with it), and then I searched for a lot asoiaf official artists and fanarts depicting the saddles, I went through forums, interpreted some F&B excerpts, and at last but not least, I searched for HotD art, in particular Jack Cornell site (he helped design some of HotD's saddle), which was tremendously helpful, so please go check him out. So yeah, I planned the whole saddle, specifically to fit my design for Dreamfyre and my headcanons about Rhaena (so there might be a lot of headcanons)

I'd like to write a bit about my process for making this saddle and riding clothes, but I don't know if that would be interesting or just massively boring and too nerdy. Anyway, I hope it looks fine, and now I'm gonna finish a few touches and then rest and try to forget all the useless knowledge I have now about horses
