My Fallout 4 Story: Eric Morgue
So, Fallout 4's story isn't the greatest - I don't think it's unfair to say. But over the past two years I've played it as one character for hundreds of hours now. I've done all the DLC, and short of finishing all my settlements, there is nothing else to do.
In this playthrough through a bit of headcannoning and planning I crafted my own version of Fallout 4's story that left me feeling fulfilled and I wanted to share that story here.
Tumblr media
Meet Eric, Eric Morgue. Before the war he was a Marksman in the Alaska Campaign and was honorably discharged. Like many Sole Survivors he was happy and at peace with his life in Sanctuary Hills until the skies opened with hellfire and Vault-Tec offered a helping hand.
Exiting the vault, Eric was broken. The world reached into his chest and ripped his heart out. He wasn't in a state to help people, the Minutemen turned to him as a savior but he turned their back on them. He'd already filled the hole in his chest with something, revenge.
He was a soldier, a scout, tracking was in his nature. He stalked the man who stole his son from him across the breadth of the Commonwealth. There wouldn't be any stopping until Kellogg was in the ground. The one faction he did find solace in was the Brotherhood of Steel.
It was militarized, disciplined, familiar. As familiar a feeling as Eric could find in this godsforsaken Commonwealth. It seemed as if he'd never recreate the home he had once, but the lifestyle of a soldier? The Brotherhood could give that back to him.
(I wish I had a screenshot of Eric at this point in the story but alas)
He finds comfort in Danse and all seems well. He divides his time between serving the Brotherhood and searching for Shaun and Kellogg. But as time progresses he begins to see the Commonwealth in a new light. The Brotherhood sees so much of the Commonwealth as filth, but especially working with Nick Valentine, the most honest man Eric's met so far in truth - he can't help but empathies with the struggling populace.
So, Eric's priorities shift. He's still searching for Shaun and working with the Brotherhood, but now he goes back to the Minutemen. He won't lead them, but he is helping them. But his heart is still torn between helping people and revenge, so the time is nigh, Eric finds Kellogg. Shockingly to none except Eric - this does very little to bring Eric peace. It only re-opens the gaping wound in his heart, frozen over from how long revenge dwelled within him, now as empty as ever.
At this point, while he still works with the Brotherhood, a wedge has begun to grow between Eric and Maxson. Eric meets more good people in the Commonwealth, like Hancock, Nick Valentine, the ghouls at the Slog, even Strong and Virgil showing that there's more to Super-Mutants than the Brotherhood would have you believe. So when opportunity to get to the Institute presents itself after so long on the hunt - Eric goes it alone, working with the Minutemen to do it. But to do that, he formally accepts the mantle of General and begins helping the Minutemen rebuild the Castle.
(It should be mentioned that while Eric began a working relationship with the Railroad, it was far too early in their partnership to trust them with the first expedition to the Institute)
Tumblr media
Eric ventures into the silicon halls of the Institute and it's like stepping back in time and into the future all at once. Pristine, organized... lifeless. It disgusts him initially of course, the thought that these people could build a monument to perfection and abuse the topside to achieve their paradise. But then, he finds Shaun. His son, the leader of the Institute. And now Eric is torn in another two directions. He's made promises to the surface and even has begun to adjust to living there, but now the shadowy boogey-men that have been causing so much strife are led by the Son he's done everything for. For the last token of his old life he has left.
Eric can't decide, so he keeps playing all sides. On the surface, he meets Cait - and together they do a lot to mend each other's broken souls. Only driving the wedge tearing Eric between Shaun and the Commonwealth even further. Not knowing what to do, Eric does what he's always done. He falls back on his training. He goes back to the Brotherhood. He kept his head down and followed Maxson's orders. He figured he could save his son if it came to that.
The worst issue though was feeling like he couldn't confide in anyone. Not Danse, not Nick, not even Cait or Codsworth. Afraid of what anyone might say, afraid of things he knew deep down was true being brought to light, Eric carried the burden alone. Liberty Prime was nearly built when push finally came to shove.
Paladin Danse, the man who in many ways saved Eric from his despair and gave him the tools to face the Commonwealth like a soldier - had been a Synth all along and not even Danse knew it. Maxson gave Eric the kill order of course. A test of Eric's mettle after the aforementioned wedge that was driven between the Knight and his Elder had grown wider. Prove your loyalty to the Brotherhood, or do not return.
Danse wanted him to do it, Maxson wanted him to do it. The Soldier inside Eric wanted him to do it. But he couldn't. The man who saved him when he had nothing needed his help, so Eric pulled Danse out of the cage Danse had built for himself, shook him off and helped him face his reality with new-found vigor. Man or Machine, he'd been a good friend to Eric, and that meant more to Eric than Danse knew.
Maxson was furious of course, but Eric wasn't playing games and talked Maxson out of killing Danse, he would've fought him for it if he had to. Eric brought Danse to the Minutemen who welcomed him with open arms. He now serves at the Castle, clad in royal blue T-51 Power Armour, unofficially known as The new Sarge. Danse gave Eric purpose, now Eric had paid him back.
He wasn't kicked out of the Brotherhood like Danse, but Eric couldn't help them finish their war machine. He realized that the Brotherhood controlling the Commonwealth would lead to good, innocent people being treated like monsters for circumstances out of their control. Nick would be thrown out of Diamond City, the Slog would be wiped out, Strong would be hunted down. He couldn't stand by and let that happen.
Eric returned to Shaun's side and tried to see things from their point of view. Maybe, if he could just convince Shaun, things could start to change for the better. But at every turn he saw Synths be treated like property - and he would think back to Danse, and Nick. Or the medical marvels he saw here being horded by people who would never encounter half the hardships the average man in the commonwealth went through in a year. MacCready's son or Cait could've been cured of their ailments overnight if the Institute just turned their attention to the surface. The more Eric interacted with Shaun the less of himself and Nora he saw in the cold, cruel, calculating Director. He was his flesh and blood, but the two couldn't have been less alike.
So, still not exactly the most decisive, Eric got back in contact with the Railroad. He began working both alongside the Institute and the Railroad at the same time. The Railroad welcomed him under the alias Sharpshooter and shared a common interest in the protection of Synth life. Eric knew their goals were narrow and exhausted himself making sure the Minutemen picked up the slack making the Commonwealth better for everyone, not just Synths.
This all came to a head at the Battle of Bunker Hill. The Institute brought an onslaught. The railroad were on the backfoot, low on man power, struggling to remain standing as the Brotherhood brought on their own attack. Eric was their on the side of the Institute and slipped through the battlefield like a ghost. The conflict horrified him. He called in the Minutemen to provide aid to the survivors but couldn't intervene himself if he didn't want to blow his cover. It killed him, and all for what? He slipped inside with a Courser at his side and was met with his goal: Five synths. Five people he'd worked with the Railroad to protect. It wasn't so hard when it was a blood-thirsty raider he'd been sent to recall but these five? They were innocent, and they recognized him. They knew he was Sharpshooter and they almost blew his cover. The courser grew suspicious. Tensions were rising and Eric had to do something.
So he did, he finally made a choice.
The Courser didn't even have time to draw his weapon. Eric killed him and told the Synths to flee. The mission was a bust, the Railroad had to evacuate and the Brotherhood ended up with control over Bunker Hill. And Eric was told to meet Shaun, meet Father, at the top of the C.I.T ruins.
Finally, Eric hoped he could talk to Shaun outside the influence of the Institute's Halls, he could show him the Commonwealth. Instead he found Father stood atop an old world monument to the Institute's Ideology. Far away from the reality of the Commonwealth with a legion of mechanical muscle patrolling the halls beneath him like circling Sharks. Shaun had no interest in the Commonwealth. He looked down on it for the first time from an Ivory Tower, away from the dangers and the life that dwelled below. He wasn't just influenced by the Institute's ideology. Shaun WAS the Institute's Ideology. Everything Eric struggled with in the Institute was a direct result of Shaun, and the Father before Shaun, and the Father before him. Shaun stopped being his son years ago, Eric just hadn't realized it yet. Shaun was Father, and Eric would have no part in his experiment any longer.
Eric's cover was blown of course, the Railroad were pissed but there was still hope. There was still another way. The Minutemen. Over the course of his stay in the Commonwealth Eric had built up a working man's militia that spread the breadth of the Commonwealth. More organized than the Railroad, more just than the Brotherhood, and more alive than the Institute. Father knew this and sent everything he had to bring down Eric's forces.
Synths marched on the Castle but the Minutemen stand united. His heart no longer being pulled apart Eric lead the defense of the Castle alongside Sargent Danse, Preston Garvey, and every other man and woman brave enough to carry the Musket.
The Institute didn't know what hit them. A light show of red and blue laser fire lit up the skies that night. The Brotherhood took note but Maxson held off on providing any aid. The war was tough and the costs ran deep but with perseverance and the fear of losing to steady their aim. The Minutemen pulled through. And they wanted payback.
Eric, Danse, and Dogmeat led the charge on the Institute and opened the gates to let the Minutemen storm the proverbial castle. The Institute's white walls were coated with blood and oil. The oppressor's were on the run and the oppressed were able to free themselves. Everyone was free to live and die as they chose. Except one. Except Father.
Father was sick, maybe in his arrogance, that one trip to the surface had ambushed his under-developed immune system or maybe it was just his time, but Father was dying. Eric confronted his son on his death bed and it was like having his heart torn out all over again. They spoke and while they couldn't see eye to eye. Eric finally got through to him, just for a moment - and the last order given by the director of the Institute was the evacuation order. Freedom rang.
The Institute was no more. With a detonation that shock the Commonwealth both literally and figuratively forever. The Terror of the Institute was over. All was well. But Eric? Something broke in Eric having to leave his son to die. And it would be a long time until he was okay again.
Tumblr media
And that's where I'm going to stop for now. Weaving Eric into the Fallout 4 story was a fantastic experience for me and Eric's story continued into all three DLC's. I'm going to write up what happens from Level 85 to Level 135 at some point but this post is already very long. If you read all of this I hope you enjoyed :)

Two things that keep crossing my mind after watching Death Shroud.
Number 1 - I wonder if there were more scenes that didn't make the final cut 🤔
Number 2 - Wouldn't it be amazing if the Chad team and Critical Role paired up for a charity gig and wrote a Fallout 4 companion quest campaign and had the VAs play
My Lineup
Kenneth Vigue - DM1 (Narrator)
Wes Johnson - DM2 (NPCs/Enemies)
The Team
Courtney Taylor - Nora
Matthew Mercer - MacCready/Dogmeat (I've heard this man become animals and inanimate objects)
Danny Shorago - Hancock
Ryan Alosio - Deacon
Peter Jessop - Danse/Captain Cosmos
Stephen Russel - Nick/Codsworth
Courtney Ford - Piper
Jon Gentry - Preston
Basically we have a mix of the morally good and the verging-on-the-edge-of-shady characters to shake up the dynamic.
Secondary characters could be like, I dunno trump cards a one time special use kinda deal
Translation - I just really need more companion interactions and I've seen enough to know the VAs really get into their characters and the fandom - Imagine the hilarity of them having free reign 🙌🏻
Tumblr media
I 100% think Mac's face model had some Mercer influence

I'm also a lifelong fallout fan. I have fond memories of playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas with my brother, taking turns with the Xbox controller, but I do wish bethesda had kept up with the themes of the original games. There are some critiques happening with Rob-co and Vault-tec, etc, and how they hurt people, but Fallout 4 in particular was very "AMERICA FUCK YEAH" which is just not what fallout is.
If I were to direct it, I would have changed so much of it tbh.
Speaking of fallout being gay, how much queer representation do the games actually have? Because I can't think of any off the top of my head. It's been years since I've played any of them tho
I relate to that a lot! My first exposure to the fandom was watching my brother play 3 when i was a kid. Then I played it myself as a teen in prep for 4, which came out right after my birthday. Fo4 is probably the only game i have 1000+ hours in, so all my critique comes from a place of genuine love.
And to answer your question: not a lot. I can think of 4 character in fnv: Arcade Gannon, Major Knight, Corporal Betsy, and Jimmy, the former legion slave. I guess if we're being generous, that Legionary as well and Cass, considering her one controversial voice line. Not counting the courier, because the bisexual perks are totally optional.
Im not counting any of the fo4 companions as queer. I dont think a character being playersexual is bad ir problematic, but i also dont consider it canonical representation. None of them ever mention having a past same sex lover, and the only lovers ever mentioned are opposite sex, in the case of Maccready, Deacon, Nick, (and i dont want to list all the fridged wives). You could view Danse's relationship with Cutler as being homoerotic, and i headcanon that as well, but there is no textual evidence to base that analysis. Again, not counting the sosu because all queer relationships are optional, and you can go through the whole game without running into anything overtly queer. I guess there are a few unnamed couples in settlements (county crossing and oberland station) that are implied to be queer, but again. Nothing overt.
Not to mention, KLEO's "Im a woman baby" and Deacon being a woman are played for jokes, so. I think Beck in 76 is nonbinary and uses they/them (yayy fellow nonbinary) but i dont know much about 76 to say for sure. I guess that's progress.

Poll for Fallout fans
More Info below the cut!
Power Armor is one of the defining elements of the Fallout franchise, being as old as the series itself. Through over 25 years of development, two different owners, three development studios, and a certain Howard, Fallout has seen much evolution since its inception. Power Armor is no different, having had many, MANY iterations over the years. There are many varieties and variations, and if I tried to include every variant in this poll, there simply wouldn't be enough room. So to keep things simple, I've condensed this list to the power armor designs that appear in multiple entries of the franchise, those being:
T-45D
Tumblr media
First introduced in Fallout 3, Bethesda's take on Pre-War Power Armor is one that has resonated with many fans, appearing in every Fallout game since. T-45 is the most common Power Armor in most Fallout games, and is most commonly used by the Brotherhood of Steel.
T-51B
Tumblr media
T-51 Power Armor is as old as Fallout itself, first appearing in Fallout: A Post-Nuclear Roleplaying Game as simply "Power Armor" and only acquiring its iconic "51" in Fallout 3. The pinnacle of Pre-War Power Armor, T-51 is absolutely iconic, being used by the Brotherhood of Steel since its inception in 1997.
T-60C
Tumblr media
A modified version of the T-45, T-60 power armor was the Poster Child of Fallout 4. Used by Arthur Maxson's Brotherhood, T-60 is weaker than T-51 (Lore-Wise) but is easy to convert from T-45, making it more viable as a long-term solution. T-60 is best-known for being the suit worn by Paladin Danse, but has carved a niche for itself within the fandom.
X-01
Tumblr media
X-01, perhaps better known as the Advanced Power Armor Mk II, is the model of Power Armor developed by the Enclave for use in a Post-Nuclear world. First appearing in Fallout 2, X-01 is a Fan-Favorite design among fans for its unique presence. The X-01 is the best Power Armor model currently available, and with the eradication of the Enclave it will likely stay that way.
Please reblog this if you got to the end, ok? I'm a simple girl, I just want an honest poll. I put a lot of effort into that recap, so please do me the favor of spreading this around, ok?

Got tagged by @irradiatedpiratebooty (Thankyou!) to post some wips. 😅
No pressure tags for: @sirmanmister @acorncoffeeformysweetheart @charliesvarietyhour @fuzzydreamin @bokatan :]
I’ve got so many abandoned sketches / concepts and very few wips that make it past that because usually by the time I’ve hashed out the sketch I’ve figured out if I like it and if i have the ability to pull off what I am picturing yet ahahah and the ones past sketch are often abandoned for ‘I cant figure out why I don’t like this’ rip
(I’ve also tacked a half written danse fic on the bottom!)
Some active wips✨ (Danse like its 2015, silly comic based on this post, sketch of Murphy and Nathan)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some I’ll hopefully come back too??????????? (Tacky mug, Danse and Frankie in Far harbor (based on Night Letter by @/watchyourdigits, I paused for falloutober and never picked up again sorry :/ ), Sweetbrew fallout 76)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Proper abandoned rip (Danse as a dnd paladin (a request that I didn’t finish since the vibes are bad, sorry @/never-gonna-danse-again :/), and a silly comic based on this screenshot of mine)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And some writing since I’m trying to figure out how to do that yay ⤵️
(Untitled, unfinished) Danse, 2nd person, Danse is kinda oblivious, ‘How does Danse deal with loving and being truly loved by a railroad sole, even after the events of rr fallout 4.. (poorly)’
Dawes, Worwick, Brach and now Keane. All good soldiers dead too soon, too young, under your command. With a heavy heart you know now that soon you'll watch as you lose Haylen and Rhys too, before succumbing yourself to the ever growing tide of ferals that has been ebbing closer over the course of the battle, it feels like an eternity has passed since you saw Keane fall to the abominations, time seemed to have broken, though you know that its only been half an hour at most. If you survive the onslaught you'll have to organise a proper memorial.. if..
Reload. Aim. Fire. Assess the situation, update tactics. Breathe. Reload. Aim. Fire. Godless heathens! Rhys is injured! Breathe. Reload. BREATHE. Aim. Fi- Fire rains down on the ferals from outside the compound. Reload. Update tactics with Haylen, while more gunfire and another molotov begins to part the irradiated sea of scum. Aim. You catch a glimpse of them. Fire. The remaining abominations are dealt with swiftly, and while thankful for the well timed assist you can't help but to be cautious of them after all of the opposition your team has faced in the commonwealth. You ask them about themselves and they ask about you in return, thinking back you never got a straight answer out of them but no time to think about that now. Leading the way, you fill the silence with a debrief of Gladius' disastrous mission here, after all they had seemed interested in the Brotherhood, even if the sunglasses clad man with them had frowned. Arcjet brings more surprises, in both the unwelcome form of gen 1 synths, and the strangers' apparent combat effectiveness and familiarity with facing them. Between both of your combat prowess, the dilapidated laboratory is soon devoid of any synthetic 'life'.
Choosing to debrief outside you stumble through attempting to compliment their outstanding combat abilities, for a civilian. You part ways after gifting them Righteous authority and an accepted invitation to join the brotherhood, much to the dismay of their companion it seems. On the walk back to the station you realise that you feel lighter than you have in months, if just a little bit crispier too.
Months pass and things have been going well for the soldier, their already good combat skills have been steadily improving, Maxon has promoted them already! They are turning into a model knight, albeit with some unorthodox choices sometimes, but you want them to succeed you know they can!
After a particularly gruelling day of clearing out yet another super mutant nest you mutually decide to camp out in a suitably defensible old house, "you're quite the soldier" you say for not the first time, casual conversation comes easily with them, easier than it has for you in years you realise with a pang. And so you tell them about Kreig and how you are pushing them the same way he pushed you, to grow into the potential you see in them, and then you apologise. For being like Kreig, pushing too hard without explanation or reward. The soldier is silent for a while, before replying, but you see a new glimmer in their eyes, of understanding. They take first watch, and you drift off to sleep easily for the first time in recent memory.
Much progress has been made in the brotherhood's hunt for the institute, with the both or you being assigned more missions near constantly it seems someone has noticed your effectiveness as a team. You've heard whispers of rumours and caught the occasional stares drifting around the prydwen, but you pay them no mind, speculative gossip has never been of any interest to you, especially not something so obviously false as those rumours, that would be inappropriate after all. Your thoughts drift to the soldier, and realise just how much they have come to mean to you and how little you've told them anything about you, how could you have been so selfish after they have bared so much of their soul with you? Their life prewar, the death of their spouse at the hands of the cruel institute mercenary, the hunt for a way into the institute and their overwhelming fear at what they will find there. How much pressure they feel from everyone to be the perfect soldier, you sigh internally thinking about that, you owe them an apology it seems. With your mind made up now you just wait for them to return and for a suitably private moment to present itself. The opportunity arises later that day, they have just returned to the prydwen after a week away, and much to your surprise beeline straight for you with a smile before even turning in their documents or missions. They seem to be oblivious to the stares and raised eyebrows of the mess's other patrons, and a round of suitably authoritative glares ensures they will remain so. Brandis just smiles, damn him.
You warmly accept their request to join them on a routine acquisition for Haylen, but you know by now that no mission will ever be ‘routine’ with them, not that you mind the challenge. En-route to the target zone you cant stop thinking about what you are going to discuss with them, how will you open such a sensitive topic with them? Its been a substantial period of time since you’ve spoken to anyone about back then, not that you could ever forget him, after all how could you when he haunts your sleep like some sort of sorrowful spectre of loss, guilt and pain.
Lost in your ruminations as you are you nearly walk right into the Soldier as they signal ‘hold’ and ‘danger’. Snapping back to reality while cursing yourself for your inattentiveness internally, you spot the obvious threat almost immediately: a roving band of super-mutant scum and worse yet, a suicider. Outstanding. Your friend signals for stealth and for a flanking manoeuvre, you never did understand their insistence on such quiet methods when you both have access to power armour, but you’ve seen enough of their handwork enough to trust their tactics, even with their continual overestimation of your lacking stealth capabilities. As quietly and you can in full power armour you move into position on the opposite side of the pack to them, shoulder your rifle and wait for their signal. You can feel your heart rate quicken in time with the warming thrum from your charging laser rifle as the anticipation and adrenaline flips the switch to combat mode. They don’t keep you waiting long as a well placed laser volley from them sets off the unsuspecting suicider right in the middle of the pack. As the stragglers stupidly turn in the direction of the apparent danger you fire on their backs with deadly accuracy. With the element of surprise now used to its fullest, you charge into optimal combat range as one of the remaining brutes correctly picks you as the bigger threat, Good. Its better if you are the target. A few more well places shots from the both of you and its over as quickly as it started, “Outstanding!” you complement their marksmanship and tactics as they walk over. You notice of the charred abominations still writhing nearby and you put it out of its disgusting misery with a well placed stomp.
The Soldier shows you the location Haylen specified on their pip-boy, its just on the other side of this small commercial district, if the mission goes smoothly you could be back on the prydwen by nightfall, sharing a whisky to chase away the taste of messes’ latest attempt at dinner. You both freeze as you hear the distinctive sound of laser fire nearby, one look and you both move towards the commotion weapons hot. At the first sign of creepy plastic and blue lasers you charge with an “AD VICTORIAM!” but you barely get a round in before mini-gun fire tears through the remaining machines. After ensuring that they were in the clear you join the soldier as they approach the heavily armed newcomer. You meet the strangers glare with a level one of your own, before they can say anything your friend asks what they are doing here, “kicking ass, though it looks like HQ messed up scheduling again” the stranger answers. Ah this must be one of their minutemen acquaintances, you had heard they were getting more active lately, and poor organisation is expected from the civilian militia. The strangely dressed silver haired minuteman explains that the subway has been overrun with gen 1 synths, your friend offers to help, “it would be an Honor to assist in exterminating these abominations” you agree, though this earns you a strange look from the minuteman. No matter. Unbeknownst to you the Soldier and the minuteman share a significant look behind your back. No pathetic synths stand a chance against the three of you as heavily armoured as you all are, you briefly considered extending the minuteman an invitation to join the brotherhood, though you reconsider when they lament the ‘deaths’ of the machines, such a naive outlook would never be allowed to continue in the brotherhood, don't they know how dangerous synths are? With the battle dust settled, “damn!, you’re one ass-kicking angel of death” the stranger compliments your friend as you all backtrack to leave the dingy subway, “agreed, outstanding work as always” you contribute, they are positively beaming at the combined praise. The minutemen leaves with more crude but positive words, its good to see that the minutemen have at least some capable fighters on their side, it is a noble cause.
The target artifact is soon acquired with minor resistance from some more mutants, but the hour is too late to return to the prydwen now. They suggest that a settlement nearby will be a safe place to camp for the night, you agree, and privately hope that the arrangements will be secluded enough for the difficult conversation you have planned. A short walk in the dark later and you both arrive at the small nursery and are immediately accosted by a group of hysterical settlers. Eventually the soldier calms them down enough to learn the location of the kidnapped one, an older man. The mutants are just across the road as it turns out, why on earth they have tolerated living a stones throw from these monstrosities for so long is a mystery, but at least the proximity makes for a brutally quick rescue, you both use the night to you advantage and the monsters are dead before they can even take up arms. The man is injured so you carry him, trusting your friend to have your backs on the way back to the settlement. You mentally resolve to make significant note of how much mutant and synth activity there is in this region in the next mission report. With the settler returned, sustenance and a semi-secure place to set up camp for the night acquired (to be continued oops, 1/4 affinity talks written, the 4th being romance dialog)

You know what’s creepy about the cryptids of Appalachia? Most of them are Vault Tec experiments gone wrong thanks to the FEV virus…except for Mothman and Wendigo which implies they might really be supernatural in origin since there is no explanation with them.

Tumblr media
hello, i'm jules! i write sfw agere content! send in a request and i shall deliver!
there's a criminally low amount of age regression content for a lot of the media i enjoy, so i'm taking it upon myself to change that by writing content for some obscure characters with little to no demand!
