Christmas tag game!
Thank you @the-cinnamontograohy-is-amazing for the tag
It's Festivus for the rest of us so grab your Chanukah bush, your mistletoe, your pagan ritual or whatever brings you joy and come gather round the fire and celebrate your pocket friends
Favorite nickname you’ve ever been given?
Max, it doesn't get used much but I like it. The only two other nicknames I've had that were even semi-regularly used were Danimals and Danish
Where are you located?
Southern California
What season is it where you are now?
Winter
Favorite tradition this time of year?
Baking I guess? We don't really have traditions
Favorite holiday food?
Nothing comes to mind, I don't think we tend to make anything just for a holiday.
Mulled wine, eggnog or hot apple cider?
Probably hot apple cider. I've only had it once but I've also only had eggnog once and thought that was awful so...
Turkey, ham or nut roast (Or Tofurkey?)?
None of the above. I can do turkey for thanksgiving but I don't like it. Ham is super gross imo and i don't like the texture of tofu and i've never even heard of nut roast
Would you rather spend the December holidays in: a cabin in the woods surrounded by snow, or a house on the beach with sun and sand?
House on the beach by a mile. I love snow but the cold aches my bones and joints so bad.
Are you pro-snow or anti-snow?
pro-snow in theory. see above
Have you ever built a snowman?
Yes
Skiing or snowboarding?
Neither. I went skiing once and had a horrible time and didn't even want to try snowboarding.
Favorite holiday movie?
Black Christmas (1974), Die Hard, and It's A Wonderful Knife (2023) is absolutely getting added to the holiday rotation. I also had a blast watching Violent Night (2022) last year.
Favorite holiday fanfic?
I don't tend to read a lot of holiday specific fic
If you were to star in a hallmark movie, who would be your love interest?
Kyle Gallner maybe? Or Liv Hewson?
Tag you're it @fromcrossroadstoking @queerkearney @punkgeekcryptid @smittyjaws if you want to

Modern Au Athelstan headcanons
Back on my bullshit
Wears glasses and has horrible eyesight
And Ragnar teases him about it
Probably got them as a kid too
Wasn't full on bullied as a kid (I feel like other kids tried but he just gave zero reaction because he's a litttttle bit oblivious) but did get teased a bit for being really really short for his age and also the huge glasses
I swear I didn't steal this from @procrastinatingsoicanreadfanfics it's been in my head a while and believe me I was Shook when it turned out to be their headcanon too but anyway Athelstan was a foster kid
Never knew his birth family, just knows he had a lot of siblings
Was never officially adopted by anyone, I like to think that the last family he lived with was really good to him though and helped him learn to navigate the world as a young adult
Still sees that family occasionally after he goes to school, they were the people he was closest to out of all his childhood
Ok I actually have a highly specific au in my head where OF COURSE years later he meets Ragnar and Lagertha and their kids but it turns out THEY were former foster parents who he'd lived with when he was really young before their own kids were born and for whatever reason he had to be given to another family and they were heartbroken about it but then they recognize each other and I cry
Got a scholarship to go to a decent university (was always a straight A student let's be real this boy's a massive nerd) and ended up studying something history related but I can't decide what
It's gonna be like either religious history or ancient languages or something (or maybe just Medieval art idk I didn't go to uni I don't know what they get up to in there)
Is a little embarrassed by his name. Most people call him Stan or Ath - if the full name comes out Something Is Wrong
(But Ragnar and Lagertha both call him by his full name whenever, they've earned that privilege)
I love love love the thought of him meeting them via babysitting/tutoring their kids
I know I know I know romance is popular but in this au I always liked the idea of them kind of pseudo adopting him. Even before they've recognized him they're like "this one needs a family we're taking him home"
Lagertha especially her mom instincts kick in the second she sees his little face. This one belongs to her now.
Ragnar calls Athelstan "kid"
(It turns out he didn't properly remember his name until several months after they'd met)
Their family is Norwegian/Danish but live in England which is where Athelstan meets them
When he starts going to their house (because they invite him for dinner almost right away after he's started looking after the kids) and realizes all 3 languages get spoken sort of haphazardly around the house he makes a determined effort to learn them on his own because he wants to communicate with them in more ways than one
They aren't *rich* but definitely have a lot more money than what Athelstan grew up with and he's more than a little surprised to say the least when he finds out
They have a cabin somewhere in Norway up in the mountains that was Ragnar's dad's or whatever and one winter they take him along with them and I really want to write a fic about this so bad guys you have no idea
Ragnar teaches him to drive and it's about as chaotic as you'd expect
Bjorn plays *all* the sports and tries to get Athelstan to practice with him (this is mostly an excuse for him to kick soccer balls and the like at him)
He probably has like every social media account you can have but he either never uses them (or just logs on to observe everyone else and never says anything himself) or uses it to argue with assholes
Listen you cannot tell me that if someone is being a jerk on twitter or whatever he wouldn't absolutely go after them in the calmest yet most smug fact-checking way and just obliterate them only to fade into 100% obscurity once again
Hates conflict in theory but can't resist calling out people being mean online lol
Has a lot of house plants
Bakes the best breads and cookies ever I swear
Awkward about having people over but loves to make food for his friends and generally just take care of them
Photographs literally everything. Phone storage: full after like a month. Gets a digital camera. Fills up storage on that too.
Has an energy that just inexplicably draws others towards him. Any rando who comes up to him on the street he'll just have a full conversation with too, he takes everyone fully seriously even if he can't quite understand why they're talking to him
Loves museums. Will sit quietly and look at Art and do nothing else for hours at a time.
Probably plays D&D
(as a monk, of course. Or maybe a cleric.)

A Dreamy Swedish Summer Cottage By a River
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are you on Facebook? I still post on the My Scandinavian Home page three times a week, but I also still love a little scroll through my private feed for latest news! While it used to be more about people posting about their lives, these days it's more about missing cat alerts on community neighbourhood pages, am I right? But some of the groups I've joined come up trumps - one of which is a Swedish page called Torp och stugor, köp, sälj, hyr (crofts and cabins, buy, sell, rent). This weekend someone posted that they are selling their 'summer cottage 40 minutes from Örebro and 2.5 hours from Stockholm' which they describe as a 'real summer paradise with two bedrooms, a big guest cabin, fireplace, terrace and a pier at the end of the garden with access to a lake and much more'. And was 'anyone interested in buying it?'. Erm, me? Sadly it's a little too far away from Malmö, but I thought it'd be rude not to pass the message on in case you might like to take up the offer. Ready to dream?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note the door frames and skirting boards have been painted in another tone - just like we saw in Freja's  Danish home last Wednesday. In Freja's home the pea green shade was a starker contrast to the walls which gives a more contemporary vibe, whereas here, the tone blends nicely with the wall colour to create a more traditional and calm look. I also love that the window frames have been painted in the same tone. It reminds me of the paintwork in a beautiful rustic Norwegian cabin I once featured.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The summer cottage is pretty much closed for business in the winter - as the water is on only in summertime. But when summer arrives, I can imagine it springs into action. In Sweden, it's common for people to go and visit friends and family at their cottage for a few days - it's a way of keeping in contact. My Swedish Father-in-law always says, 'guests are like fish, they start to smell after three days'. Always makes me laugh (naturally, we also make sure to not out stay our welcome when we visit him!). I guess it depends on the guest and how close you are, but three days or not, we can all agree that a little personal space is great for everyone! At this Swedish cottage, a separate cabin in the grounds has been converted into a wonderful guest bedroom complete with a bed and dining table so you can truly make yourself at home!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course, they have a simple, yet lovely outdoor shower. Speaking of which, this weekend, we finally put up our outdoor shower (which was a press gift). It's a copper one with a really clever Danish design and simply plants into the grass so you can place it where ever you want. It has a tap and you can attach a warm and cold hose too! We LOVE it! If you're quick you might catch a glimpse of it on my instagram stories today. Right now, they have a special end of summer offer in case you're interested!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope you enjoyed the tour of Julia's summer paradise! You can find more information here about the listing if you're interested. I noticed quite a few lovely details while looking through the pictures. One of my favourites is a painting of the cottage in the kitchen - I wonder if this was painted by one of the owners or perhaps as a present from one of their guests? I have a very romantic view of a cottage with its own pier - there's something about the direct access to water which I absolutely love. Perhaps it's the sense of freedom. Is there anything that stood out to you about this pretty Swedish summer cottage? If so, I'd love to hear more below, it's often a detail or observation I've missed. Have a wonderful start to the week! Read the full article

Scandinavian Travel Checklist: Designing a Bespoke Tour across Northern Europe
Tumblr media
Scandinavia is an astonishing part of the world, with cities and landscapes across Denmark, Sweden and Norway Holidays that range from vast open wildernesses to eclectic towns, tiny villages and islands perched in the ocean to sophisticated spa hotels and luxury wellness centres.
If you’re keen to travel to Scandinavia and want to see as much as possible, a tour package is the perfect option. We offer a range of Scandinavian holidays, from winter wonderland trips to relaxing summer adventures and self-guided fly/drive packages.
Let us share some of the best places to go and the most popular things to do in the region, alongside recommendations for activities and excursions you will love.
Creating a Customised Tour of the Scandinavian Countries
One of the brilliant aspects of travelling around Scandinavia is the contrast between the seasons – the region transforms throughout the year with the changing weather, and even if you’ve visited countless times there is always something new to see.
We’d recommend beginning with a checklist of your must-see places or the type of holiday you’d most love to experience – for example:
Would you prefer to travel in the warmest summer months, during the snowy winter, or during spring and autumn when most cities are quieter?
Are there activities you’ve always wanted to try? Perhaps you’d like to hike up a mountain, relax in an authentic outdoor spa, snowmobile across a glacier, or camp in a rural area overnight to watch the Northern lights holiday.
Do you have a particular type of accommodation in mind? We offer a huge selection, including treehouses, ice hotels, glass igloos, rustic summer cabins, ultra-modern hotels and lodges.
Organising a tour means you don’t need to make any compromises – you can incorporate all of your bucket list items into one trip, often starting in one of the major capital cities to soak up some culture and entertainment before you head further out.
Exploring Scandinavia’s Capital Cities
The architecture and history of Scandinavian cities are a big draw for guests. There is a variety of experiences to pick and choose from, such as fine dining, visiting world-famous palaces and museums, walking tours and self-guided tours where you can see the sites via bike or book a boat trip around the local harbour.
Oslo is Norway’s capital, with an urban, contemporary feel, yet surrounded by mountains and greenery. The nightlife is lively and welcoming, and we recommend a stop at one of the superb museums, including the Munch Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum.
Our next stop is Stockholm, Sweden – a captivating and beautiful city characterised by cobbled streets winding through Gamla Stan, the 13th-century old town, with attractions like the Royal Palace and Nobel Museum.
If your Scandinavian tour includes a visit to Copenhagen, you’ll see colourful houses lining the harbour and canals. You can also visit the stunning Amalienborg Palace, home of the Danish royal family, and the world’s second-oldest amusement park at Tivoli Gardens.
Booking a Winter Tour of Scandinavia
Several Scandinavia tour packages are designed around festive themes, including the Polar Express Train Journey, which takes you on an incredible tour through the Arctic Circle, crossing Norwegian and Swedish Lapland. The eco-friendly transport runs from Kiruna in Sweden to Narvik in western Norway, with opportunities to try a dog sledding safari in the snow and visit the Abisko National Park.
Another great option for a Scandinavian tour holiday in the winter is our Swedish Ice Hotel Adventure. It begins in Stockholm, which is made up of fourteen islands that form the archipelago. Once you’ve finished exploring the city, you’ll head to Swedish Lapland and dive into a truly magical experience.
Scandinavian Travel During the Summer
If your ideal holiday is a summer visit, we can suggest an equally broad array of options, tours and packages. The Castles and Jutland package is a popular fly-drive holiday where you can explore Denmark at your leisure and stay as long as you wish at each landmark or city.
This holiday is suited to visitors of all ages and takes you through the Danish countryside. You will learn about the Viking heritage of this fascinating country, visit pristine beaches along the wild coastline, sample Nordic cuisine, and see historic ruins and museums at each stop.
Highlights include a stop-off at the original Legoland in Billund, which opened in 1968 and is adjacent to the Lego factory, and a visit to the beaches in Skagen – Skagen Sønderstrand and Gammel Skagen Strand are both great places to visit.
Recommended Places to Visit During Scandinavia Tours
Scandinavia offers such diversity that it’s impossible to curate a list of everything we’d recommend. Still, below, we’ve highlighted some amazing views and structures you’ll not see anywhere else in the world.
Denmark and Sweden: Oresund Bridge
This bridge connects Sweden and Denmark and sweeps for five miles above the Oresund Strait. There is an underwater tunnel, an above-ground bridge and even an artificial island called Peberholmen. As a feat of engineering, the bridge is the longest road or railway in the world and can be seen from the air as you land in Copenhagen.
Norway: Preikestolen Cliffs
At 2,000 feet high, these cliffs are far above the Lysefjord below. They are a granite plateau accessible via a short, steep hiking path that takes roughly three hours to climb. This is another unique Scandinavian landscape that keen hikers should never miss—the view is breathtaking.
Sweden: The Stockholm Archipelago By Boat
We’ve mentioned Stockholm, but a tour of the archipelago by boat is a great day out in itself. There are numerous islands to explore, with the chance to stop off and cycle along the nature trails or see the ancient Viking graves, with seabirds, eagles and seals often spotted along the cliffs and coastlines.
Booking Travel and Transport throughout a Scandinavian Holiday
Travel is part of the excitement of Scandinavian tours, where you can experience an overnight train ride across borders, hire a car for a once-in-a-lifetime road trip, or navigate the Norwegian fjords aboard a ferry – spotting rare wildlife and even the Aurora Borealis in the right winter weather conditions.
There are plenty of sustainable, eco-friendly travel options throughout the region, especially in Norway – examples include emissions-free public transport networks across Oslo and electric ferries and trams.
Please review our comprehensive range of tours and packages online. You’ll find full itineraries, flight details, and lists of the attractions, excursions, and accommodations included.
If you need any assistance tailoring your Scandinavian tour or can’t find what you’re looking for, please feel free to contact the expert travel consultants at the Baltic Travel Company.

Sweden to ...???
Back in Stockholm I was trying to figure out where I’d go to next.
Finland was first in my mind.
Ferries to Finland were either incredibly early in the morning or late at night with the requirement that you take a cabin, making them pretty expensive for the relatively short distance.
I looked at another option, Denmark, the home of the Danish pastries and butter cookies, and the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen.
I can’t think of anything else that Denmark is known for.
A train ticket from Stockholm to Copenhagen was incredibly reasonable at 320 Swedish Krona so I decided on Denmark.
The people in the hostel had all changed since I was there the week previously.
I was back in the same 12 bed dorm, but this time it seemed to be full of Australians.
There were what seemed like 15 hip skinny snow crazed kids who were skiiers and snow board addicts, they’d been all over over Europe.
Everything good with them was ‘sick’, the breakfast in such and such a hostel that they were recommending to someone was 'sick’; such and such a hostel was also 'sick’.
There was also an older Australian woman in the dorm who wasn’t travelling with them.
She was colour of an orange from all the sun she’d soaked up on the slopes.
In the kitchen there were two English bikers talking to a Germany-based skinhead American Army lieutenant who was of Swedish heritage and spoke fluent Swedish.
The English guys were complaining that Britain should never have handed back Hong Kong to the Chinese.
I thought about telling them that the market for opium isn’t what it was but think better of it.
I have to move dorm after a night or two because it’s all booked up, a welcome break from the 'sick’ Australians.
In the new dorm there’s a different Australian guy who’s travelling on his own.
His Hungarian-born father went to a conference in Austria in the time of Communism in Hungary, claimed asylum, for which was tried and convicted in his absence in Hungary.
He then moved to Australia to start a new life.
You hear some great stories from people that you meet, some of them are embellished but some are just the stories of life.
Before I leave Stockholm for the second time I find some more free things to do.
I visit the Storkyrkan church which is in effect the cathedral for the city and see the 15th century statue of St. George Slaying The Dragon,
Tumblr media
which includes a figure which is weirdly similar to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Tumblr media
The church charges entrance fee in Summer but not in Winter.
Then I visit the (free on Monday’s) Royal Coin Cabinet, which has way too many similar coins.
It’s a big collection of old coins from Sweden and all sorts of banknotes from around the world.
They have some notes that I’ve used on my travels.
They have notes that are a thing of the past, just like the countries that printed them.
Tumblr media
They even have Concentration Camp banknotes, a concept I find hard to believe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The following day I get going to Denmark.
The train sets off for Malmo.
The land is pretty flat.
The closer we get to Malmo the more there are brick built houses, farm buildings and buildings associated with the train, stations etc. This is farming country.

Thanks for all the writing and contributing you do, Quiet! Since it's silly to just write a thanks note from a rando, LI favourite desserts/sweet things..? No need to answer that one, just consider it me doing my part. Take care out there!
🥺🥺 no, you can just send me random notes if you want that's totally fine, 100% gonna make me tear up regardless if you add a lil question to it or not
i did something kinda similar a lil while ago, but it was just me thinking about what the dif characters would be if they were deserts.
But, i do have thoughts on what they like....and I'm doing all of them cause i got no self-control 😅
Alex is partial to fruit and veggie-based deserts. Those are what their mom made growing up. Has a fancy dessert once and over does it. Hurts their tummy. Too rich for them.
Avery says their favorite deserts are just unfathomably fancy things but, really? They adore pastries. Danishes go great with their morning coffee. But their favorite? Their mother used to give them specific cookies during the winter holidays when they were younger. Those are their favorites.
Bailey likes stuff that tastes like coffee. Doesn't indulge in sweets or desserts often.
Eden buys chocolates when in town when you aren't looking and has them squirreled away in the cabin where you can't find them. Nibbles on them from time to time.
Great Hawk doesn't really like sweets. They consider eating an extra lurker a treat.
Kylar likes cupcakes specifically. Cupcakes have the right frosting-to-cake ratio. Big red velvet fan.
Leighton also likes coffee-flavored things. Has some hard candies on their desk that are coffee flavored. Sucks on one while developing film, sometimes.
Remy likes raspberry sherbert. I have no reasoning for this. Pure vibes.
Robin just, really likes strawberries and cream. Does that count as a dessert?
Sydney likes parfaits!
Whitney is a sucker for lemon-flavored desserts. Will fight for a good lemon bar. But an everyday treat? Freeze pops. Loves those things. Likes chewing on the ice.
Wren can't say no to crème brûlée. Not that they get to indulge that often...Also, really likes ice cream sundaes.

📓
Oh boy. Ohhhhh fucking boy.
I know it's probably Vikings you want to hear about so here it goes:
So I have a TON of Sad Athelstan fics but I'll try to narrow it down a bit lol. Firstly I kind of sort of started my Victorian farmer AU that I think I mentioned before, I would LOVE to eventually finish that and possibly make it a longer series with like. Athelstan working as a farmhand with this sort of eccentric Norwegian immigrant family out in the countryside, honestly not far off from canon but set in the 19th century/turn of the century because...idk I know more about Victorian era farming than I do Medieval/Viking farming? Maybe I'll just do snipits.
On that note I'd love to do an anthology-type series that's just slice of life of Ragnar's family at the beginning of the series when they're still on their farm (I really fuck with that beginning era, for some reason even just once Ragnar is earl I feel less inspired to write fic for it idk why) - mostly focused on Athelstan of course but definitely showcasing the rest of the family too, all the various struggles, happenings, strange and funny things that go on in their lives.
There's also a thought I've had for a while about like...Athelstan's first time witnessing Yul. I don't know the details of how Christmas was celebrated/handled in a Medieval monastery, but I'd guess it was a pretty solemn and sacred affair with not exactly the most revelry, and I'd like to do a shortish fic that contrasts what he's used to at that time of year versus what it's like in his new home, and how the two holidays compare and conflict with each other. Maybe I'll write that one over the holidays lol who knows.
There are so many modern au concepts I've thought of that I can't even put them all in here, but on the topic of the winter holidays I've got an idea in my head of one where Athelstan has been an after school tutor for Bjorn and Gyda for a few months and they really like him so he's sort of been absorbed into the family, and they invite him to stay at their cabin over the winter break. And chaos ensues because first of all Athelstan, a poor college student who never really knew his family, gets majorly culture shocked by 1) living even for a short time with people who Have Money and 2) with a family that loves each other and cares about him to the point where they're almost aggressive about it. Second of all, because their extended family/friend group (including many side characters from the show) are Not the type of people he's used to and they're all Scandinavian and tall and loud and probably making fun of him in Norwegian or Danish behind his back and he just doesn't know what to do with any of it. I even had this idea of like. Having it be kind of paralleling the actual events of the first season (albeit in a modernized, much more lighthearted way) because I just think that would be fun to have little easter eggs in there. Despite how much I've thought about this one I haven't made a dent in it.
Phew.

Winter Wonderland
Pairing: Lee Taeyong x Reader
YN Pronouns: Not Specified
Genre: Fluff
TW: None
[Main Masterlist] | [22 Days of NCT Masterlist] | [Yesterday] | [Tomorrow]
Word Count: 0.8K
Tumblr media
The sound of sleigh bells filled the area, combined with chattering conversations and excited screams, Taeyong knew that the Christmas season had officially descended onto the population.
If there was one thing Taeyong could always do, it was to take you on the most spectacular of dates. Whether this is through a yacht dinner or a simple puzzle night, it was never a dull date night with him.
And today was no exception. Taeyong had this planned for weeks now. He's had the tickets to the holiday light festival for months and even more things planned. He's had the itinerary and schedule memorized since he started planning it and...
"Taeyong!"
Good god.
He nearly lost the grip on the bouquet of flowers in his hands. You jogged up to him and smiled. He'll never be able to grow tired of that, you're just so perfect.
"Are these for me?"
"No."
"What?"
"Yes! I mean yes!" Taeyong places them in your hands and shakes the nerves off.
"Taeyong, how long have we been together now? Still get butterflies?" He could only nod. You had no idea how much your presence alone sent him both in a stuttering and awkward demeanor whilst simultaneously being his greatest comfort. You were special to him in that way. "Good, I thought it was only me," you laced your hand with his and made your way towards the entrance. "So tell me a little more about this place, it looks so cute!"
"Ah, it's called Winter Wonderland," Taeyong says after taking a deep breath. He removes his hand from yours and instead wraps it around your waist. "At night there's a really nice light show that I think you'd enjoy," he says. You leaned your head towards his shoulder and Taeyong suddenly found it harder to breathe steadily.
"Ooh! Let's grab some hot chocolate while we look at the exhibits!" You redirected him towards a coffee truck. Taeyong followed closely behind you while you ordered two for the road. Before you could slip your card into the reader, Taeyong reached from behind you and beat you to it.
"It's on me today! I asked you out, after all," he says. The vendor hands you the drinks and you continue on your way.
"Ooh! Taeyong let's do a few of the activities too," you pointed to the fair board and you both made a quick pit stop to read through it. "Hm... snowmen building, fireside pastries, snowflake making, wow, there's a lot of options," you read down the list.
"It won't hurt to try all of them," he says. "Have the full experience?"
"Sure! As long as I'm with you, I'm good with anything," you smiled. As long as you were with him, he liked the way that sounded.
And so began the event-packed day. The first stop was the snowmen, a rather simplistic task save for your sudden urge to make the biggest snowman in the lot, something which was miraculously pulled off. Next was the snowflake crafts, which consisted of simple paper folding and cutting techniques to create elaborate designs. Then, and how could he deny this, the winter garden. A perfect picturesque area filled with life and color. You'd jokingly told him to get your good side and, well, what side isn't your good side? Best to just take a video and circle around you then.
Finally, after maneuvering around the entire fair and with an hour left before the famed Holiday Light Show, you both found yourselves situated in a small cabin-themed café. You both seated yourselves at the open chairs and scanned the QR for the menu.
"Hm, something sweet sounds good right now," you scanned through the menu carefully.
"Maybe a danish then? I think you'd like the cranberry ones," Taeyong spots the pastry near the bottom of the list.
"It does sound delicious," you nodded. "How about you?"
"I'll get the-" he looks up at you. The fireside glow seemed to frame your face just right. He swallowed down his words.
"I know I'm breathtaking, Yong, but if you stare like that I'll get embarrassed," you laughed quietly and Taeyong shook himself out of his daydream.
"You're right about that. I think I'll just have their cookie platter," he says. "So how do we order?"
"And sent and paid," you tapped the pay button on your screen and placed your phone down.
"Hey! I'm supposed to be treating you out!"
"And I owe you a celebration for a successful album!" You reasoned. "Come on, let me treat you too! We can spoil each other," you bargained. Taeyong released a soft breath.
You really were the person he loved the most in this world, weren't you?
He could tell that this Christmas was about to be very special.

I just had a thought... Tiger suddenly telling Bill she loves him in another language or maybe his language? And you know he's surprised and stares at her with a love in his eyes but then he laughs a little and have some cuddles?
OH but how sweet this is. Imagine tiger leans how to say it in Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian?
Maybe it's in that lovely, romantic cabin. And while my heart longs for the dead of winter right now, perhaps it's actually shortly after midsummer when the night is still gloriously bright into the wee hours of the morning. They're alone, everything still has the glow of an ever-setting sun, they're by the fire in Adirondack chairs and tiger is on his lap.
And like, she's been practicing right? She's heard Bill say it a thousand times but something about Scandinavian languages to non-native speakers are ridiculously hard to wrap your tongue around. So tiger has been practicing every day, getting her mouth around the words.
"Älskar dig," she mumbles, kissing his jawline softly. Bill pauses.
"What did you just say?" he murmurs, tipping her chin so his nose bumps hers.
"Älskar dig," she repeats, just as soft. His smile nearly cracks his whole face, and he hugs her closer.
"Älskar dig," he echoes, pressing his lips to hers.
"Elsker deg," she smirks, biting his nose playfully and he chuckles.
"Elsker dig," she fumbles the last one in Danish, and Bill clamps a large hand over her mouth and grows stern.
"Don't you ever," he threatens playfully, "Speak that devil language to me."

History/Bio:
Nadia Nikolina Chirilă was born in Romania, being the younger sister to Decebal and Alexander, the three of them being triplets by birth. She was the younger daughter to Apostol Chirilă, and her mother, Maria Stratulat of Moldovic heritage. She was born 12 minutes after Alexander, and because the parents couldn't support all three children, they passed Alexander and Nadia to an orphanage only to be sold over the country boundaries for human trafficking.
Before Alexander could be bought for organ trafficking in America, an old lady took him in, leaving Nadia all alone, only to be taken by an Italian Mafia Leader, Romero Gonzales because of her unique eyes, raising her until the age of 10, when she was forced to work into the prostitution by her father figure, losing her virginity at that fragile age and abused both mentally and sexually by countless men; being caged like an animal and labeled as nothing more than an object.
By the age of 15, a customer came in a Chinese man, who pitied Nadia and helped her escape. The said man took her to America, Ohio where he was living with his American wife who couldn't have children; the man being a former assassin from China.
Nadia observed how in his free time her new father figure practiced martial arts and asked him to train her, finding out more about what he did in his past, she simply asked him to teach her how to kill. Until the age of 27, she spent her time in America, Ohio with her adoptive parents, learning, and training, until they passed away.
Not seeing any reason to stay there, Nadia flew to a more secluded place in Greenland, starting a job as an independent artist in painting and the art of origami which her Chinese adoptive father taught her, and also taking jobs as a hitwoman. She also has a cabin for vacations in Scottland where she sometimes stays.
Her style of killing:
Despite being a ruthless killer, she mostly kills men, being a meister into weaponry, her preferable killing method is piercing under the chin of her victims with the sickle blade of her kusarigama or simply smashing the throats with her mace bludgeon. Despite being a woman she possesses strength that can match that of men, killing men that abuse women.
Personality:
Nadia is the type of woman that is the epitome of a male into a female's body. She sports a hardcore personality that screams 'she is not one to be messed it'. The type of woman that plays with big boys like they are nothing but kids.
She is a manly woman with a spirit of a warrior, giving off big sister vibes, despite being the younger Chirila sibling. In her day-to-day life, she is a hard-working woman who isn't afraid to get dirty or bruised, always open to competing against men who underestimate her and prove them wrong.
Nadia hates the stereotype of 'woman should be housewives and stay home', always open up to compete even with herself. When she traveled to Scottland one time she competed with the men in 'caber toss' and won 2nd place, proving that women can do what men do.
She is a true feminist, but with a more quiet demeanor.
She has a deep hatred towards men, because of her past abusers, she views men as only takers, destroying the beauty which the women exhibit. Towards women, especially petite ones, she is very soft and gentle, very polite, and acting as a big sister.
Despite her seeming calm and stoic attitude, she also has a very VERY bad temper that combusts into the presence of men, especially misogynist ones that act like peacocks with their masculinity.
Her favorite drink: Whiskey
Her favorite food: Moldavian Stew
Other Characteristics:
Despite her very tomboyish attitude, she also shows her feminity through arts and crafts in her paintings and origami sculptures, and such.
Like her brother, Decebal, her tolerance for alcohol is very big, being half Moldovian.
She is a smoker like her two other brothers, Decebal and Alexander.
Her voice holds a powerful timber, still feminine, but with a certain deepness, booming like she just threw a fist at a table.
Her scent is that of patchouli, tobacco with musky notes, hints of whiskey, and dark coffee.
