[I’m putting this blog on hiatus till further notice. I need to re-focus and regroup myself and this blog. I have a few weeks till I go on vacation between Oct 29 - Nov. 11th. Maybe by then I will revamp and be okay enough to play this bean again. However, I notice that when I have an art-block, my muse for Yusuke dissipates. MEH! ]

without everyone being together, like before, things felt all so foreign to futaba. without him, things just wouldn’t be the same, ever. and she had to admit, she had to get use to it. it was hard, no doubt, but it was something that had to be learned. just like everything else. the gang was pretty much set out and busy. ann, ryuji, makoto, haru and even inari. she missed them all, though deep in thought, she did miss inari a little more than the rest. maybe because they had a connection unlike any other she’d made with anyone else?

her eyes were peeled with ultimate excitement when he strode in and made himself comfortable over by the Sayuri painting. she, without haste approached fox inari. she stood tall, that mask sitting comfortably over her head and on her shoulders, waving to the artist before her. a snicker here and another there. when he didn’t acknowledge her the first time, she knelled down her hands at the edge of the table, gradually creeping to the piece of paper he was sketching on. hoping too give kitagawa-kun a fright, she shouted ‘boo’. 

it was soon followed up by a muffled set of words. realizing that her words were a little incomprehensible, sakura removed the doll head shaped mask, and placed it on the table.

He didn’t see Futaba when he first entered. Yusuke only assumed that she wasn’t home from school yet or napping off the forced stress that socializing had put on her. It was understandable. Her eventual acknowledgment wasn’t expected at all. By the time Futaba made her approach, he was already lost to the page and his own thoughts. As she waved at him, he was too focused to pay attention. Usually, small sketches like this wouldn’t be as focused, but the comfort of the cafe made it very easy to pour out his ideas. He didn’t want to misrepresent a single one. 

Then, he was observing something in the corner of his eye. He wasn’t sure what it was, but as she drew closer to the page! Soon, he became aware of the pair of hands! He quickly snatched up his sketchbook pad and held it protectively with a gasp. He narrowed his eyes at the assailant before realizing the familiar mask! His eyes widen in recognition of the young lady and he was instantly put at ease. Lowering the paper once again, he sounded a sigh of relief.

“Ah, it’s you.”

He didn’t sound too excited but he was glad to see her. He offered her a soft smile as his blue eyes seemed to follow her movements before he moved to stand and greet her properly. 

“Futaba. A pleasure. Care to join me?”, he gestured to the other seat across from where he was. He hoped that they could talk a bit. He was curious about how her first days of school have been and if she had any contact with the others. 

“I trust you’ve been well?”

He agreed to go with her to Ogikubo to check out the ramen shop that Ryuji is always going on about. To avoid detection and suspicion, he met her there. Yusuke was pretty sure that it was the rumble of his stomach that prompted her kind offer to buy him a bowl. Not to be rude, he attempted to take his time. Still, his one-meal-a-day budget was not allowing him to take a leisure pace.
